Happy Bloggin Thanksgiving ........, with a Serving of Jon Regardie's Annual "#MayoralThanksgiving" Missive

We want to wish a Bloggin Blessed Happy Thanksgiving to ALL ...., and present you with a Serving of Downtown News Editor (and LA's REIGNING Scribe of Wit) Jon Regardie's Annual "#MayoralThanksgiving Missive" ........, featuring alleged, 2020 Presidential Aspirant Mayor Eric "Gar-SOFT-ee".
Photo of "Pilgrim Gar-SOFT-ee" by Gary Leonard with treatment by the Downtown News Staff.
** Blogger's Note: BUUUUURRRRRRP!! Please pardon the gastrial reminder that the Holiday Feasting Season has begun as we wish EVERYONE a Bloggin Blessed Happy Thanksgiving. Unlike President Donald Trump, we DO NOT kindly pardon turkeys, especially the CREEPY POLITICAL VARIETY, as exampled by the likes of Raul PERVYnegra, Tony the TONTO Mendoza ......., and not forgetting SLEAZY Huizzy. We also find non-pardonable the HYPOCRITICAL ENABLING GOBBLERS, who conveniently find fault in others (mainly political opponents) .........., while remaining SILENT about the repugnant, past misdeeds of their "mentors/ex. bosses" (kinda reminds me of a CURRENT Assembly Special Election Candidate, but I digress). But not to fixate on the negative, we will post this afternoon, a BLOGGIN FLASHBACK, honoring those who commented on a past, VERY Public Episode of Inappropriate Conduct, directed at a Woman in the Political Workplace. Until then, we present a bloggin excerpt from Downtown News Editor and REIGNING Scribe of Wit Jon Regardie's Annual "#MayoralThanksgiving" Missive......., featuring Mayor Eric Gar-SOFT-ee-----Scott Johnson.

From the 2017 Edition of "Happy #MayoralThanksgiving":
The mayor’s office will be releasing a #PreparedStatement on Thanksgiving Day in which Mayor Garcetti states very important and certainly not generic things about Thanksgiving, on the chance that an enterprising professional journalist, citizen journalist or YouTube personality cares to write an article/host a podcast/Tweet/otherwise make a social media statement. This will fall in line with other statements such as “Mayor Eric Garcetti on Veterans Day,” “Mayor Eric Garcetti on Labor Day 2017,” “Mayor Eric Garcetti on Yom Kippur,” “Mayor Eric Garcetti on the Holy Month of Ramadan” and “Mayor Eric Garcetti on the National Day of Prayer.”

Enjoy!!

Sara Hernandez: Standing Up to Donald Trump ......., while KNEELING before "Tonto Huizar" for Endorsement?

While 34th Congressional District Candidate Sara Hernandez touts her Anti-Bully Educator Qualifications, the former CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar Staffer (and apparent recipient of her Ex Boss'es ENDORSEMENT), is the SUBJECT of our latest Bloggin Teachable Moment on HYPOCRISY in campaigning ......., with supporting documentation via Michael "MEAT" Trujillo, the Pasadena PD and Francine Godoy-Soto.
This Sara Hernandez Testimonial is STRONGLY approved by the "Tonto Huevon of CD-14".
Unlike Pinto in Animal House, Sara Hernandez was a willing ENABLER for her "Tonto Political Diablo" ....... while ignoring "Angel Francine's (Godoy-Soto) alleged, Harassment Testimonial".
** Blogger's Notes: Happy Hump Day before next Tuesday's 34th Congressional District Special Election as we present .........., a SPECIAL BLOGGIN TEACHABLE MOMENT, featuring alleged Anti-Bully Educator (and former CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar Enabling Staffer), now Congressional Candidate Sara Hernandez.
As the aspiring Congressional Candidate seeks to promote herself as the Classroom-trained Choice to deal with the supposed "Bully President Donald Trump", in the place of NOW, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, we list the following questions below regarding behavioral situations that could take place in a Classroom/Campus, CD-14 City Council Office, during a Re-election Campaign ......., or at a Ole Town Pasadena Spa (allegedly).

A LA TIMES HYPOCRISY ALERT regarding A Documented, Alleged Sexual Assaulter (and Hillary Supporter) "Jose Luis Huizar"

As the "Old Gray Propagandist on Spring Street (aka LA Times)" continues its ceaseless, subjective attacks on Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump's "alleged Women Issues" we remind the former "Fishwrap of Record" of a certain DOCUMENTED, alleged sexual assaulter (and Hillary Clinton supporter) ..........., known as CD 14 City Councilman Jose Luis Huizar.
The Byproduct of Imploding Agenda Journalism at the LA Times.
** Blogger's Note: The following is a factually-based LA TIMES HYPOCRISY ALERT. As the once "Fishwrap of Record" continues its downwards, journalistic devolution into a censoring Propaganda Organ for the Democrat Party Establishment, we want to remind those with an objective mindset, of a DOCUMENTED, alleged Sexual Assaulter ............., known as CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar.
With the Spring Street-located Propaganda Newsprint/Kitty Box Liner Producer devoting its remaining Column Inches of Propaganda to the feigned "Main Stream Media's (MSM)" disgust over the repulsive Locker Room Banter of Candidate Trump, the late Publisher Otis Chandler-envisioned Liberal News Organ's dwindling Scribes/Editors, now subjectively retrained as Agenda Journalists, are in need of a reality refresher on a Hillary Clinton-supporting Politico it once outed ............., only to be forgotten, (conveniently)?
UNLIKE DONALD TRUMP, CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar was the subject of a Pasadena Police Report in 2005 (during his successful Campaign to replace Antonio "then Villaraigosa") alleging Sexual Assault ........., as DOCUMENTED BELOW.
UNLIKE DONALD TRUMP, when first questioned by the Pasadena PD, the then Los Angeles Unified School Board Candidate School Board President, stated not once, but twice, that he resided at 1819 N. Alona, within the City of Santa Ana, California ........., as DOCUMENTED BELOW.
UNLIKE DONALD TRUMP, there was a WITNESS to the alleged Sexual Assault by Jose Luis Huizar ..........., as DOCUMENTED BELOW.
UNLIKE DONALD TRUMP, the alleged victim of the Sexual Assault filed a complaint with the State of California, which stated the her employer (Burke Williams Spa) was retaliating against her for reporting the actions of the then, newly-elected CD-14 Officeholder ............, as DOCUMENTED by the LA Times.
With the DOCUMENTED FACTS noted above, we must SERIOUSLY ponder whether anyone of an objective, discerning mindset, can seriously trust a supposed, objective Journalistic Organ of Record, that engages in blatant Journalistic Malpractice in regards to censoring the Hillary Clinton Campaign's own "Women Issues" .........., as exampled by  DOCUMENTED, alleged Sexual Assaulter, now CD-14 City Councilman Jose Luis Huizar------Scott Johnson.
From Jose Luis Huizar's Twitter: "Richelle & I are proud 2 support 4 . She will fight so that we can pursue the American Dream".

Statement from the Pasadena Police regarding alleged, Sexual Assault committed by now CD-14 City Councilman (and Hillary supporter) Jose Huizar.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

As the Liberal, Main Stream Media (MSM) fixates its attention on a "Trumped-up Plagiarism Controversy", Jamiel Shaw Sr. states the BLUNT TRUTH regarding the horror of "Illegal Alien Brown on Black Violence", that took the life of his namesake Son, on the Opening Night of the 2016 Republican Party Convention.
Jamiel Shaw Sr. speaking at the Republican Party Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
** With no apologies to the Talking Point-repeating cronies of the local Democratic Party Establishment Machine, we interrupt your tired attempt to echo the Main Stream Media's "Trumped-up Plagiarism Controversy", to give Witness, via the emotional testimony of a grieving Father, on the Inconvenient Truth that is the on-going "Brown on Black/Black on Brown Gang Violence" that took the life of Jamiel Shaw Jr.
A city, state and country, that has been fixated on a supposed epidemic of alleged Police-instigated killings of young Black Americans (along with the Terrorist-like attacks , targeting Law Enforcement), would find it wise to review the emotional Testimonial of Jamiel Shaw Sr.
Blunting, young men of color (along with innocent bystanders) are still dying in South LA, due to an up-string in ethnic-rooted gang violence ......., and NOT because of targeted Police Killings.
The FACT that Jamiel Shaw Jr. at the hands of a Illegal Alien Gang Member, who should of been deported or placed on an "ICE Hold" (a protocol supported by the likes of Gloria Molina), is a Policy Issue that merits a "color-blind discussion", not muted due to Political Correctness ..........., as evident via the silence of Public Officials regarding "Brown and Black/Black on Brown Violence".
CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar a still-smoldering Da Vinci Complex Fire
** The LA Weekly (aka "The Weedleaf of Record") was timely (Sunday before the RNC Convention) in outing controversial Downtown Developer  Geoff Palmer's "Financial Support" of Donald Trump's Presidential Campaign.
While Scribe Hillel Aron practice due diligence via incorporating pertinent links to Palmer's past controversial developer antics, missing is any mention of his "favorite PLUM Committee Chairperson", who showed more haste in urging a swift investigation of the Palmer-owned Da Vinci Complex Fire ........in comparison to the racially-motivated Fire Bombings of African American Families.
Former KRLA 870 AM Radio Host Randy Economy with ex. CD 3 City Councilman Dennis Zine.

Councilman Huizar misleading CD 14 Republicans about Official Support

With Tuesday's CD 14 City Council Elections less than 36 hours away, embattled City Councilman Jose Huizar is attempting to mislead register Republican Voters, that he is the party's endorsed candidate in the upcoming balloting.
Kudos Again for another act of deception.
Blogger's Note: As Tuesday's Elections draws near, in closeness in the CD 14 City Council Campaign between embattled Councilman Jose Huizar and former LA County Board of Superviosr Gloria Molina, is such that the self-noting Princeton Graduate has resorted to embellishing about supposed, "Official Support" from the Republican Party. That effort is factually refuted, in the letter, posted below by RPLAC 51st Assembly District Chairperson Michael McGuire---Scott Johnson.
Letter from 51 AD Republican Chairperson Michael McGuire.

Morning Brief on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

There is no minimum amount of critical musing when it comes to panning a pirating of a Campaign Gimmick for political gain.
The pirating of a "Campaign Gimmick" stimulates creative use of Photoshop.
WHO WE ARE-It was the closing days of the dreariest mayoral campaign imaginable and the unions that so heavily backed the indecisive Wendy Greuel flooded the city’s poor neighborhoods with mailings and sound trucks blaring with the good news: $15 an hour minimum wage if she wins.
Eric Garcetti was beside himself, denouncing Greuel for taking the millions of dollars in union money he wished he’d gotten and calling the ploy to nearly double the minimum wage a "cynical attempt to buy votes." It gives, he told reporters, “false hope to people who are struggling to make ends meet … a $15 minimum wage, that sets up a false expectation." You can’t call Garcetti a total hypocrite for coming out on Labor Day in support of raising the minimum wage 22 percent every year to bring it to $13.25 an hour by 2017 when he will be seeking re-election. Maybe he’s only a three-quarters hypocrite though you can bet all you’ve got it will get to $15 an hour soon enough.

** A blogging flashback moment via Jack Humphreville as he muses on the upcoming CD 14 Campaign between Jose Huizar, Gloria Molina (and John Perez?) ........,
Huizar is also embroiled in a couple of scandals, including a 2012 car accident which the City settled for $185,000 in March of 2014. The major scandal involves a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Francine Godoy, his former aide, alleging that married Huizar retaliated against her for refusing to continue their sexual relationship.  During her tenure in his office, the very attractive Godoy’s salary increased from $47,000 in 2006 to $132,000 in 2013, during which time she moved into an adjoining office to Huizar that had a specially constructed connecting door.

** LA Downtown News Editor and reigning "Scribe of Wit" Jon Regardie is no one's fool in musing his cynical thoughts (mixed with facetious word play) about a proposed voter lottery to stimulate turnout at the polls ........,
OK, I’m being facetious, but as mentioned above, how about looking at cash payouts only after trying other steps? Those steps, by the way, include having city politicians acknowledge that their attempts at career longevity are part of the problem. Actually, they’re about 88% of the problem. Get-out-the-vote efforts by politicians who target their own constituencies are much more effective for them when the voting pool is miniscule. That and other machinations mean many local elections are highly, if legally, manipulated. Said another way, local balloting is increasingly more a coronation than an election. While theoretically anyone can run for any office, the power of entrenched office holders and political machines, including big-money labor and business groups, means that choice is quashed long before election day.

LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina to challenge Huizar for CD 14 in 2015

LA County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina announces her intention to challenge CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar in 2015.
The former CD 1 City Councilwomen lays out her intentions to defeat the Princeton Graduate.
Being an arrogant, abusive huevon, apparently does not insure re-election.
In a CD-14 Political Earthquake, LA County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina announced her intentions this afternoon to challenge embattled CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar, in the upcoming 2015 Municipal Elections.
Many political observers have been speculating since the Spring of 2013 whether the termed-out Supervisor was seeking to continue her political career, with a return to 200 Spring Street. That speculation was partly fueled with her sponsorship of programs and events, such as the LA-32 Neighborhood Council-created Ascot Hills Kite Festival.
In recent weeks, word of mouth had Molina associates looking for a place to establish domicile within the district. Informally, contacts within the Mayor Garcetti inner-circle have stated that any potentially big name candidates would wait until after Labor Day to disclose their intentions which Supervisor Molina did today as the LA Times notes.
"I am concerned that there is only one woman on the [15-member] City Council," said Molina, who had served on the council from 1987 to 1991. "When I left, that wasn't the case at all."
Molina, who spent nearly three decades living in Mt. Washington, said she moved into Huizar's district -- a requirement for candidates seeking the seat -- a few weeks ago. She has separated from her husband, business consultant Ron Martinez, and purchased a three-bedroom home in El Sereno. She also has hired political consultant Fred Register for her campaign.

Councilman Huizar's "Director of Spin" crafted the following "Coca Puff" for his boss.

Huizar spokesman Rick Coca responded with a statement from the councilman touting his work in the district, which includes El Sereno, part of Highland Park and most of downtown. “From revitalizing Broadway and helping create thousands of jobs downtown, to building new parks, to championing groundbreaking pedestrian, bike and business friendly policies that are the model for the entire city, the service to Council District 14 constituents has never been higher and I look forward to continuing to serve as their councilmember for  the next four years," Huizar said

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

Two City Hall Strongmen come together to jointly cry UNCLE as an apparent agreement between Mayor Eric Garcetti, the City Clowncil Central Committee and IBEW's Strongman Brian "D'Arcy Rizzo", on the continuing funding of the DWP/IBEW Joint Job Training and Safety Non-Profits, is ironed out behind closed City Hall doors.
The two reigning City Hall Strongmen, City Clowncil Central Committee General Secretary Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson (top) and IBEW's Brian "D'Arcy Rizzo" (bottom) agree on conditions (including auditing) for the continued funding of "Working Californians", whoops, the Joint DWP/IBEW Job Safety and Training Non-Profits.

Its Sunday's Bloggin Comments to Mayor Sam for 8-10-14

Its time to highlight those "Anonymous Maverick Commentators", who take the time to offer their respective insight/spin/chisme on our bloggin musings, (of course, we do not take responsibility, or endorse the comments noted here as true, but heck, sometimes they provide a tipoff worth further investigating).

Former CD 14 City Clowncilman Jose Huizar's Deputy Chief of Staff Francine Godoy stirs up the comments regarding her Sexual Harassment Lawsuit against the Princeton Graduate.
**The mention of former CD 14 Deputy Chief of Staff and current Sexual Harassment Litigant Francine Godoy, even indirectly when musing on her ex. boss proclivity of verbally abusing employees, is growing thin (with the exception of "John Justice") on some, but leave it one to offer a tidbit of alleged chisme .........
Anonymous said .... Francine is not a victim. She was aware of the repercussions being the mistress (obvious in denial). Sounds like, Huizar didn't give her the wife role she wanted so badly. Her behavior is common to a vindictive mistress retaliating. She should be sued for wasting tax payers dollars while on her back performing her "duties".. You have to wonder what was her job description. Sincerely a Concerned Tax Payer

Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Hump Day

We remind Angelinos that while Mayor Eric Garcetti is away on vacation somewhere near a Great Lake, the pending "Detroit on the Pacific" is under the control of LA City Clowncil Central Committee Strongman Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson.
What can possibly happen in LA with Clowncil Strongman Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson in charge? This ...........
UCLA's John Wooden Court under water from rupture DWP Water Main on Sunset. Maybe the acting Mayor/Strongman can decree that future Joint DWP/IBEW Safety and Job Training Non-Profit proceeds, be redirected to cover the cost of restoring "The Wizard of Westwood's" namesake basketball court (don't hold your breath waiting)?
** Mayor Sam has confirmed that former SEIU United Long Care Health Workers Director of Politics and founder of M. Chavez Consulting Mario Chavez has pulled papers to mount a challenge to Incumbent CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Jose Huizar, Chavez, a Boyle Heights Native and Resident, was appointed to the City of LA's Affordable Housing Commission by Mayor Eric Garcetti soon after taking office. Chavez's challenge of the Princeton Graduate, is the first sure sign of a Progressive push back against the embattled incumbent, who is seen by many in his district as being a pawn for the campaign-contributing Special Interests (especially Downtown), at the expense to the rest of his forgotten constituents on the East Bank of the LA River.
** LAPD Rank & File turned out in the hundreds yesterday to remind the City Clowncil Central Committee (and especially, vacationing Mayor Eric Garcetti, that unless their contract demands are met, current officers may seek employment elsewhere.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for a post Fourth of July Monday

"The Tony Villar's First Cousin John (Perez) for Controller Campaign" is prolonging the "Flat Line Reality" of its political demise by calling for a divisive and costly recount of the vote.
I demand a recount, no matter the cost!
First Cousin John for Controller, why are you still with us?
Hola and happy post Fourth of July Monday to all!!
Upon returning from a Holiday/B-day Getaway, I was expecting to read the political post-mortems on the final Political Flat Lining of "The Tony Villar's First Cousin John (Perez) for Controller Campaign" but First Cousin John has other thoughts.
Not one to put party unity paramount, along with accepting reality, First Cousin John is calling upon the Secretary of State Office to conduct a potentially expensive and divisive recount of the final tally of ballots which has Betty Yee beating him by 481 votes for second place in the State Controller Contest ......., and not surprisingly, First Cousin John is trying to massage the recounting to his advantage as noted below.
Pérez said in a statement Sunday that because of the closeness of the race it is of "the utmost importance that an additional, carefully conducted review of the ballots be undertaken to ensure that every vote is counted, as intended."
But Yee, who claimed victory over Pérez on June 30, said Sunday that if Pérez "really wants to make sure every vote counts, he should be counting every vote.
"Cherry-picking only the 15 counties that he won, and sorting the precincts within the counties to reflect his strongest areas, indicates that he has no interest in a fair and impartial recount," she said.
Under state law, any registered voter can ask for a recount - but they have to pay for it, which can be prohibitive in a massive state like California. So candidates are likely to target counties where they performed better.
Hand-counting the ballots in the entire state could run $3 million, campaign officials said. It will cost $1 million alone for Pérez's home county of Los Angeles. He is also requesting a recount in Kern, Imperial, San Bernardino, Fresno, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, Stanislaus, Tulare, Kings and Merced counties.

......, to be continue.

** Did it seem not long ago that a second term for LAPD Chief Charlie Beck was about as sure as "First Cousin John" winning a recount in the State Controller's Race? But rest assure (or not), but the reality now is that Chief Beck is going to garner another term as the City of LA's Top Cop.

** While Chief Beck awaits the formality of his Second Term Appointment, his Rank and File Officers have a tentative new contract which hold current salaries in place, but raises the start pay for new officers and allows for cashing in on overtime.

** Memo to Mayor Eric Garcetti, as "Daily Valley Moldy Green Sheet" (aka Daily News) City Hall Reporter Rick Orlov notes in his Monday "Tipoff Column", you can be a one term former Mayor, such as James "Poopy" Hahn and get a building named after you, come September. But we know that Team Garcetti has higher goals.

** From LA Wave Newspaper "Soulvine Columnist" Betty Pleasant's latest "Weekly WMD" (Wanton Missive of Distortion), we learn that LAUSD District One Special Election Candidate George McKenna has picked up the endorsements of four former challengers, including former Board of Education Member Genethia Hudley-Hayes, in his quest to beat LA County Board of Supervisor Mark "Home Renovation" Ridley-Thomas anointed candidate Alex Johnson.

** Lastly, on a sad note ...................

We have heard that a horse died during the recent El Sereno Bicentennial Parade near its finish at El Sereno Park (prompting the renaming of the green space to Dead Horse Point Park?). As in anything that casts a negative spotlight on any CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose "Dear Charro/Princeton Graduate" Huizar sponsored activity, information or photos are outstanding, but eyewitnesses stated that the horse collapsed at the finish of the parade and was later loaded on to a truck for a trip to its final resting place. BTW, we hope the Parade Committee was paid up on its Parade Horse Insurance.

Mayor Garcetti and Councilman Huizar remain silent on Ramona Gardens Firebombings targeting African-American Families

As the likes of Mayor Eric Garcetti and CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar continue to focus on the racist follies of a "Feeble Old Man" (aka Donald Sterling), they remain silent regarding last Sunday night's Fire-Bombings, targeting African-American Families in the Ramona Garden Housing Project.

LAFD Firefighters at the scene of one of the four Fire-bombings within the Ramona Gardens Housing Project, targeting African-American Families on Sunday night.
** Blogger's Note: As a bloggin disclosure, please do not disregard the following missive of rage directed at those who would seek to inflict harm on those based upon race (and the politicians who remain silent when leadership is wanting). For the last couple of weeks, Angelinos and those beyond the boundaries of "Seven Suburbs in search of Civic Leadership" (to paraphrase the late Dragnet Actor/Director Jack Webb), have been treated to the spiteful outing of a Feeble Old Man's (aka Donald Sterling) tormented soul. Being that Sterling is rich, white, with the proclivity to espouse asinine opinions, the resulting media firestorm (with politico pile on via symbolic pronouncements from the likes of Mayor Garcetti), has showcased again that the issue of racism is also rooted in exploitation for personal (and political) advancement. That said, those who are truly objective in outing all forms of racism, especially in the form of violence, should be denouncing Sunday's attacks in Ramona Gardens. Yet, Mayor Garcetti and Councilman Huizar have so far remain shamefully silent, why? The blunt truth is that Brown vs. Black Racism in Los Angeles is more prevalent than the racist rantings of a Old Rich, Feeble Westside White Guy, with a gold-digging Mistress. Those who want to gloss over this inconvenient truth, should count the dead of Latinos and Blacks who have died over the recent decades across this city in senseless turf battles, with too many innocent bystanders losing their lives in the crossfire. In recent years, the residents of Ramona Gardens, have made strides (with the help of LAPD's CSP Program) in bridging the racial divide between Brown and Black but Sunday's attack by a vile few, have tinged the progress of race relations with the flames of hatred. Thus, as the community meets tonight at 6 PM at the Ramona Gardens Recreation Center, we ponder if Mayor Garcetti and Councilman Huizar will exercise objective leadership in denouncing violent acts of hate ........, or merely choose to espouse more tired, symbolic condemnations aimed at a Old Rich, Feeble Westside White Guy, that can be exploited for a better political tomorrow?---Scott Johnson in CD 14.
Mayor Garcetti finds its easy to garner media time in attacking the racist ramblings of a "Feeble Old Man" but sadly, has remain silent on the recent Fire-Bombings targeting African-American Families.
Sadly again, CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar's leadership is wanting in regards to condemning the recent targeting of African-American Families within his Council District.

McDonnell for Sheriff Fundraiser tonight in Eagle Rock

Even with the LA Times, Daily News and many within the LA Political Community endorsing Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell to replace Lee Baca, the need for campaign contributions is still paramount.

The Morning After Mayor Garcetti's "Budget 101" in Boyle Heights

Live from the Puente Learning Center in Boyle Heights!! Its Budget 101 with Mayor Eric Garcetti and his Special Guest CD 1 City Clowncilman Central Committee Member Gil Cedillo (** along with some guy who went to Princeton).
Mayor Eric Garcetti addressing the capacity crowd at the Puente Learning Center in Boyle Heights.
** Blogger's Note: For one night, Boyle Heights was the center of the Los Angeles Political World as Mayor Eric Garcetti's traveling "Back to Basis, Budget 101 Tour" made its one stop east of the LA River. Sensing that there is a new Patronage Sugar Daddy in charge at City Hall, all of the usual "Connected Non-Profits" were in attendance with reps from Inner-City Struggle, East Los Angeles Community Corp (ELACC), Legacy LA, El Centro de Ayudo and El Sereno's Barrio Action working the room (matter of fact, the amount of "Connected CBOs" representative last night, have not been seen since the bloggin, fabled "Huevos with Huizzy Tour", but I digress). Then of course you had the political loyalists who were there on behalf of their respective office holder sponsors. The actual exercise in gathering constituents thoughts regarding the 2014/2015 Budget was inhibited by the large crowd and interrupted further by the Grand Entrance of Mayor Garcetti and Clowncil Central Committee Member Cedillo (which prompted "where's Huizzy?" comments from audience members). With the arrival of Clowncil Central Committee Member Huizar ten minutes after Mayor Garcetti and Clowncilman Cedillo, the event became a gab session among the assembled politico troika, with cameras flashing away. But there was no doubt that this evening was about showcasing a new Mayor's grasps of the basics of community interaction, with a new CD 1 friend as Special Guest and a certain, embattled "Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate" being the odd politico on the outside, looking at a new political reality of his own making---Scott Johnson in CD 14

A Morning Subjective Musing on the Dysfunctional State of "Disempowerment LA"

With less than 36 hours before a supposed Special Meeting of the "Disempowerment LA-occupied LA-32 Neighborhood Council with no Agenda posted, we channel the bureaucratic (mixed with political considerations), mindset of the NC oversight agency, in crafting our own subjective list of reasons for the absence of an Agenda for tomorrow's meeting.
"Disempowerment LA's" General Manager Grayce Liu in better times (for the LA-32 NC) with ex Failure Mayor Antonio Villar.
"Disempower LA NEA/LA-32 NC Overlord" Lisette Covarrubias, when in the Office.
** Blogger's Note: Good bloggin morning from behind the lines of the "Disempowerment LA-occupied LA-32 Neighborhood Council", as NC Board Members and Stakeholders await a formal agenda on what community concerns the occupying, bureaucratic overlords will allowed to be broached at tomorrow's Special Meeting of the LA-32 NC at the El Sereno Senior Center, starting at 6 PM. As we near the final hour of the morning, we thought that a moment of channeling the bureaucratic, dysfunctional mindset of a certain "Disempowerment LA NEA/LA-32 NC Overlord" (when not filing workplace grievances, allegedly), would be a fun, subjective exercise (kinda like placing a certain NC on Exhaustive Measures, but I digress), on why the Board Members and Stakeholders are still in the dark on what community concerns will be allowed for discussion tomorrow.
* Lack of cohesive office schedule for a certain "Disempowerment LA NEA/LA-32 NC Overlord" to review concerns from ALL Board Members and Stakeholders in regards to crafting the appropriate agenda.
* Weak "Disempowerment LA Structure regarding whether a NC with issues, is in need of a "Board Retreat" (as in 2012), or merit being place on "Exhaustive Measures", as one can ascertain in the 2012 and 2014 Memos to different incarnations of the LA-32 NC.
* Inconsistent Disempowerment LA General Manager understanding (that depends on the political considerations) how subjective actions of the department staff affect NCs like LA-32. ie. Lack of current information regarding ADA accommodations for Board Members, Lack of openness and transparency regarding department dialog (with local politicians?) that lead to subjective, punitive actions, Ethical concerns regarding employee conduct and a dysfunctional department that wastes taxpayers money among others.
* Lack of clarity on the pathway out of punitive Exhaustive Measures designations and the role "Council for Councils" can have as First Responders for NCs with issues.
* Safety concerns among Board Member and Stakeholders due to a lack of cohesive policy from "Disempowerment LA" regarding dealing with "Procedural Bullys" (ex. "The El Sereno Delusional Society").
* Creating an environment wanted by the local politico (and his cronies), that is conducive to the appropriate "Stakeholders Benefits". ie Connected Non-Profits, questionable Charter School, non-disclosure of CLARTS Fund status and NC allocation of funds for groups with IRS issues ......,  among others
Thus, everyone can see how easy it is being subjective, especially when merged with the political considerations of a certain local politico and neighborhood cronies ---Scott Johnson from "Disempowerment LA-occupied LA-32
   From a "Disempowerment LA-mandated LA-32 NC "Board Retreat" in 2012 ...........
2012 "Disempowerment LA" Memo on LA-32 NC "Board Retreat", Page 1.

2012 "Disempowerment LA" Memo on LA-32 NC "Board Retreat", Page 2.

........ to "Disempowerment LA's punitive, Exhaustive Measures against the LA-32 NC in 2014.
2014 "Disempowerment LA Memo placing the LA-32 NC on Exhaustive Measures, Page 1.
2014 "Disempowerment LA Memo placing the LA-32 NC on Exhaustive Measures, Page 2.
From these identical memos from 2012 and 2014, its easy to surmise that the art of "cut and pasting memos" to meet the desired resolution (with political considerations included) is part of the dysfunctional work culture at "Disempowerment LA".

A Top Ten List for getting your Neighborhood Council placed on Exhaustive Measures

In (dis)honor of Empower LA's punitive actions, placing the LA-32 Neighborhood Council on Exhaustive Measures, this blogger ( and NC's recording Secretary) keyboards his own subjective Top Ten List on why DONE silence a community voice.
Maybe posting this picture of Empower LA General Manager Grayce Lui with former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar would be reason eleven?
** Blogger's Note: Happy Sunday to all as the Sun shines down on a punitive takeover of a community elective body. In recent days, this blogger has been absence due to dealing with the punitive actions of a city department that is suppose to EMPOWER, but now is merely a tool to silence and enact retribution on those, who the powers to be ( and surrogates) deem as the "voices of opposition" to their self-serving political agendas. In the days ahead, the story how a majority of board members of the LA-32 NC, who put community first, before self, and how they were disrespected by the subjective, punitive actions of Empower LA (** you can read Empower LA Memo below) will be told, sparing no details. But as a blogging primer on the details to be disclose in the days ahead, this blogger presents his Top Ten List on why Empower LA place LA-32 on Exhaustive Measures, as previous posted on The Voice Community News Facebook Page---Scott Johnson from Empower LA-occupied LA-32 NC

Notice to all LA-32 NC Stakeholders!! The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE) has silence your NC by placing it in so-call "Exhaustive Measures". With no apologies to DONE GM Grayce Lui, CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar and supposed "Community Insiders", we post below our Top Ten List how this NC came to this current punitive standing.

10. Submit agenda item requesting Audit of the CD 14 CLARTS Fund.
9. Disclosing a $600 Line of Credit for a Boyfriend/ Girlfriend Arts Project.
8. Seeking answers on how the Shell Gas Station on Huntington and Monterey Pass Road obtain a Beer and Wine License despite NC opposition.
7. Voting to approve Official Letterhead that recognizes all six historic communities to the consternation of the "** El Sereno Delusional, whoops, Historical Society".

** BTW, This is what Jorge and Yolie Garcia of the above-mentioned, alleged historical group, wrote about the brave firefighters of LAFD Station # 16 in the Hillside Village area of LA-32, on their website ....
We need to make sure our fire stations are staffed with city employees who are proud to serve the industrious working-class community of El Sereno.  The current staff at LAFD #16 are a pathetic bunch who are too embarrassed to represent El Sereno.  Let's get rid of these bums and request, demand, fire station personnel who are proud to work for and with our community.  Plain and Simple; our tax-dollars pay their salary, yet they slap our faces with these idiotic and unprofessional actions.  Forward your complain to the Battalion and Division Headquarters.  The information is provided at the bottom of this section.
...... back to the list.
 6. Questioning a longtime Community Non-Profit Fiscal Standing when its current Recording Secretary notes past issues dealing with destroyed fiscal documents.(** View the three part Youtube video of the Budget & Finance Committee to see comments for yourself).
5. Voting to stand by past board's approval of Eastern and Lombardy Project.
4. Not allocating $5,000 for Bicentennial Parade, revisit number 6 for background.
3. Drafting a Motion calling for an investigation of possible Zoning Violations at the Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School.
2. Daring to mention the number of Conflict of Interest Issues involving Board Member ties to USC,
2a. Board President doing catering business with USC.
2b. Former Board Vice-President (who quit again) supposedly taking classes at USC.
2c Board Corresponding Secretary who's wife works for USC.
1. Failure to support a vindictive vendetta by a former Board Member (who has quit the NC twice) and DONE against the current LA 32 NC Treasurer.
** Disclaimer: These thoughts, based upon the facts, are my own and not reflective of any official LA 32 NC position.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

Los Angeles CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose Huizar is linked to the Calderon Scandal. Was Huizar one of the two "public officials" being investigated before the FBI Los Angeles Office directed their investigated resources on the Montebello (CD 14 East) Political Family?
A dubious distinction to start a new political, bloggin work week.
** Blogger's note: We would like to thank the embattled CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose Huizar for yet blessing the bloggin political cybershpere with ample content to start off the week. Both the "Valley Daily Moldy Green Sheet's" (aka Daily News) Dakota Smith and the "Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street's" (aka LA Times) David Zahniser, have stories on the "Dear Charro/ Princeton Graduate" Huizar's link to the State Senator Ron Calderon Bribery Scandal (** Southeast LA County Assemblywoman Christina Garcia has called on Senator Calderon to resign). It seems that the FBI Special Agent who was channeling the ficticious Filmmaker "Rocky Patel", reached out to the CD 14 Clowncil Central Committee Member, regarding obtaining permits for his upstart operations. But what makes this latest angle in the Calderon Bribery Scandal most interesting, is the passage near the bottom of Page 10 of the Aljezzera America leaked FBI Affidavit, that notes the FBI Los Angeles previous investigation of two "public officials". Could "Mr. Rocky Patel's" outreach to the "Dear Charro/ Princeton Graduate", had been predicated on previous information obtain in another investigation? Bloggin intuitions that make you go hmmm---Scott Johnson in CD 14.  ** Mid-day Update via the Downtown News: Councilman Huizar will be hosting a Community Meeting tonight at LAPD Headquarters regarding his endangered Downtown Streetcar Legacy Project, starting at 6:00 P.M.

From page 10 of the Calderon FBI Affidavit: Inquiring scribes and blogging minds are pondering what two local "Public Officials" were being investigated by the FBI Los Angeles Office?
So Rudy Martinez was right in the 2011 CD 14 City Council Campaign.
