Its time to highlight those "Anonymous Maverick Commentators", who take the time to offer their respective insight/spin/chisme on our bloggin musings, (of course, we do not take responsibility, or endorse the comments noted here, but heck, sometimes they provide a tipoff worth further investigating).  .

** Blogger's Note: Happy Sunday to all from muggy Southern California as the atmosphere gets charged up for a day of Thunder, Lighting and something called Rain. There was once a time when the Mayor Sam Blog Comment Section was an unregulated territory of lighting responses, thunderous counter-responses and heavy downpours of spin in regards to the selected musings of our bloggers. But with no thanks to a few bloggin sour pusses (and legal threats), a cyber sheriff of moderation descended to bring order to the formerly "Wild, Wild West Enclave of  Commentary". That said, there are still some of you who took time last week to post responses and in the spirited of fostering a bloggin, interactive dialog, we want to highlight your contributions to the discussion. Each Sunday, we will post the best insightful, salient and chisme-loaded comments for all to regale. Plus remember, no one needs to know who you are, especially if you reside, work for a "Connected Non-Profit, or was a former staffer, in CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose "The Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate" Huizar's District---Scott Johnson.  

 

   CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose Huizar's Loyal El Sereno Field Office Staffer (and publisher of the Our Town El Sereno Magazine) Julio Torres.

** Julio Torres is the LA-32 NC personification that absolute loyalty (especially when documented on a certain "Constituent Loyalty List") pays ........., with a paid staffer position with Clowncilman Huizar. As you can tell from the comments below, Torres is Clowncilman Huizar's designated "mechanic" in ensuring tight control over all official entities (NCs, PABs, LAPD Senior Leads, Connected Non-Profits), in furthering the political agenda of his boss. In response to our Mayor Sam Exclusive on current LA-32 NC President Marleen Fonseca (formerly Caudillo), Torres is rightfully the target of criticism for his support (with city resources?) of Pro-Huizar NC Candidates ....., and oh Julio BTW, is it true that you are on the Board of Directors of the race-baiting/Huizar-hating, El Sereno Historical (more like delusional) Society? Just wondering ........, we would hate to see your singular achievement of be the only perfect score on "Listgate" (and all those free busses provided by your boss for Our Town Trips), soiled by a formal connection to a repudiated delusional duo.

Anonymous said... It is so sad that Huizar’s representative, Julio Torres, and Department of Neighborhood Empowerment General Manager Grayce Lui could not have found a better candidate. What a shame, but what can you expect with the continued corruption and unethical behavior indicative of the present City Government.
This is the result of electioneering by both Councilperson Huizar and GM Lui, a marriage of convenience. Next time maybe they can stay out of the elections and let the community freely choose their representatives. How else can they expect a get a true picture of the communities wants and needs?
They say bad things ultimately destroy themselves, let’s do better than this.
Maybe we can get Mayor Garcetti to step in and investigate the corruption and ineptness that seems to permeate throughout his Department of Neighborhood Empowerment.
For the betterment of the community Ms. Fonseca should resign, but given that she doesn’t think that she should be responsible for being fired for her unprofessional behavior as a LAPD representative do you think she will honestly leave this unpaid position.
Truth be told I am sure there is even more interesting tidbits of information on other LA-32 NC Board Members.
Keep up the investigative reporting Scott, I am sure we will be hearing some more on the others.

Anonymous said... El Sereno is the most neglected area in LA. Great job! Julio Torres for recruiting Fonseca/ Caudillo. Has Huizar figured out your on the board of directors for the El Sereno Historical Society? The same non profit that attacks Huizar. How much is CD 14 contributing to sponsor your magazine "OUR TOWN" . WE can't wait until your past catches up to you. Eyes are on you too. What happened to the horse? Maybe you should have givin it some water to avoid it dying from the heat.

Anonymous said... Julio Torres recruited several people that did'nt make it on the board. He though he had the community backing him up. He approached me and called my family members with a list of people to vote for. We voted for the ones not on his list and mostly the ones we voted for won.
Thanks Julio for letting us know who not to vote for.
As for Marlene Fonseca or Caudillo, CD 14 wasn't supporting her during the elections because she was a Garcetti supporter. That's what Julio T. told us during the electionsJuly 31, 2014 8:29 AM



 Do readers comments put the spotlight on the supposed, nefarious past of current LA-32 NC Treasurer Michelle Corzantes?

** Just who is new LA-32 NC Treasurer and close Marleen Fonseca (formerly Caudillo) ally Michelle Corzantes? In recent months, Corzantes was front and center in engaging in false attacks on members of the previous incarnation of the LA-32 NC Budget and Finance Committee, for rightfully, questioning the fiscal integrity of the El Sereno Bicentennial Committee (who's "Parade Coordinator Genny Guerrero is heard on on video, how fiscal documents were SHREEDED), who were seeking funding from the NC. Further, Corzantes, along with former LA-32 NC Elections Chairperson Yolie Garcia, wrongfully used Wilson High School LAPD Magnet Cadets (in uniform at a school function) to hand out campaign slate flyers (as noted by LAPD Hollenbeck Police captain Martin Baeza). But for someone who was somehow elected to preserve to integrity of the fiscal resources of the NC, the comments (with a video) below should cause LA 32 Stakeholders to ponder if an egregious mistake was made in electing Ms. Corzantes to the board.

** Based upon the two comments, we Goggled "Michelle Corzantes, Our Lady of Gradalupe Church" and found the link to the following staff list which indicated that Corzantes was (or still is) "Youth Ministry/Confirmation Director". The video linked here, as posted by a "Joshua Corzantes" gives us a quick view into her style of "Youth Ministering" (just wondering what the person with the trash can was channeling at the moment?)
