Councilman Huizar misleading CD 14 Republicans about Official Support

With Tuesday's CD 14 City Council Elections less than 36 hours away, embattled City Councilman Jose Huizar is attempting to mislead register Republican Voters, that he is the party's endorsed candidate in the upcoming balloting.

 Kudos Again for another act of deception.

Blogger's Note: As Tuesday's Elections draws near, in closeness in the CD 14 City Council Campaign between embattled Councilman Jose Huizar and former LA County Board of Superviosr Gloria Molina, is such that the self-noting Princeton Graduate has resorted to embellishing about supposed, "Official Support" from the Republican Party. That effort is factually refuted, in the letter, posted below by RPLAC 51st Assembly District Chairperson Michael McGuire---Scott Johnson.

Jane Barnett re-elected as Chairperson of the Los Angeles County Republican Party

" Just re-elected Chairperson of the Los Angeles County Republican Party Jane Barnett"

According to multiple sources, Jane Barnett was re-elected Chairperson of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County by a 100-60 vote.

In addition to Barnett, the slate backed by Barnett were elected to the Executive Board with a couple of exceptions. But while some within the county party community were predicting a caustic battle for control of the county party structure, the tone of today's proceedings were set early on when Barnett extending her hand in friendship to Robert Vaughn. It was Vaughn and a few others who had taken their dispute with the selection of the current board, to court where their grievance was denied.

After the voting today was completed, Barnett's first act was to call for unity and sit with Vaughn, her challenger Former POW Colonel John Fer and others, in a round table dialog to heal the wounds of the past battle for party control. One person who was in attendance stated, that the Fer-led contingent was well organize for today's election but the majority citing the up swing in donations and party registrations, felt that the Barnett-led slate deserved two more years to show continue improvements.

But the overwhelming theme of today's party election was reconciliation, which could not come none too soon as a "Blue California" heads onwards to its date with financial reckoning. Thus, the big question here is whether the Republicans in the county and state-wide, will have a message of inclusiveness and fiscal salvation, ready to sell to their respective electorates?

Protesting the LA City Council Boycott of AZ

Much like a Phil Jennerjahn press announcement, only a pitiful group of 30 people showed up outside City Hall to voice their objections to the City Council's boycott of Arizona. The dismal event was organized by Gary Aminoff of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County. Promotion for the protest had circulated through emails and via radio talk shows for at least the last week.

Stay tuned for more later but word is that Los Angeles County Republican Party Chairman has been ousted during a re-organizational meeting held Saturday at the Ronald Reagan Building in Downtown LA by Glen Forsch, a Burbank businessman and past candidate for the State Board of Equalization.

Boyd's removal as County Party Chairman was long overdue as both she and her husband Doug Boyd atttempted to rule the local Republican party as their personal fiefdom doing things like attempting to elect Democrats as Mayor and further marginalizing the party by organizing massive support for Yes on Proposition 8.

I don't know much about Forsch but from what I've read so far he actually seems committed to electing Republicans to office and not sitting around having tea with James Hahn. Perhaps he can move the party to focus clearly on economic issues, taxes and fighting government corruption so that it has a fighting chance in a liberal bastion like Los Angeles.

Time will tell. The good news however, to quote the Wizard of Oz, well I won't say it but you know what it is.

The Mini Mayor has chosen a superintendent for his mini school district. Once again he turns to San Diego to find a bureaucrat, this one, Angela Bass, an administrator in the San Diego schools has long personal ties to the superintendent of the big school district, Admiral David Brewer.

NBC Universal has big plans for their property - which means they need the support of politicians and the community. So why are they not playing ball and supporting the LA River Bikeway? They don't have to, but they should.

The LA County Republicans once again prove they're expert at eating their own. And continue to further relegate themselves to a permanent minority status.

Some geniuses in City Hall thought it might be a good idea to implement toll roads going into LAX. However, other bureaucrats and even a few Clowncilmen find it to be a really dumb idea.

Boyd Screws Another Republican

We've talked before about how ineffective and useless the County Republican Party is, particularly under the leadership of Doug and Linda Boyd. They raise money from Republicans but in my view don't do anything worthwhile to get Republicans elected to office. When a Republican ran for Mayor - Walter Moore - they supported Democrat Jim Hahn. Of course they got some nice chump change from good old ex-Mayor Poopy.

Now that the Republican Party has a real chance to beat Rick Caruso's favorite you know what Maxine Waters, the Boyds and the LA County Dumbass Republicans can't manage to make it happen.

Homeless activist Ted Hayes, an African American, nationally known figure wants to seek the Republican nomination for Congress against Waters. Hayes is no usual dinosaur Republican - he's an effective, articulate, dreadlocked wearing, roller blading dude with real street cred. Hayes is probably the one person - Republican or otherwise - who could beat Waters.

In years past, the Republican Party Leadership in the County and State as well as the Republican National Committee had paid the filing fees for Republican Candidates in races where only one Republican candidate is running to avoid the embarrassment of not even fielding a candidate against a Democrat incumbent.

Because Ted Hayes is the only Republican who pulled papers to run in District 35, a request was made for his $1,600.00 filing fee to be paid by the Republican Party.

After submitting requests for help at the County level, State level and National level, Mr. Hayes contacted Los Angeles County Republican Party Chairman Linda Boyd and asked for help.

“We support you Ted, but there will be no help with the filing fee” was the response.

Typical Linda Boyd bullshit.

I keep saying it - the Boyds have to go. When are you dumbass Republicans at the county party going to get a clue?
