Councilman Parks drops "Shock and Awe Missive" on Clowncilman Price's Coliseum Fireworks Show Takeover Attempt

CD 8 City Councilman Bernard Parks keyboards "Shock and Awa Retort" to CD 9 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Curren Price and political allies (USC, City Clowncil Central Committee Strongman Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson, LA County Board of Supervisor Mark "Home Renovation" Thomas) attempted takeover of Coliseum Fourth of July Fireworks Show
The former LAPD Chief has not lost the ability to keyboard a "Shock and Awe Retort" to political backstabbers who want to gain procession of his cherished CD-8 Council District creation.
New CD-9 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Curren Price is losing the PR Battle over his "going Saddam", in invading CD 8 turf and attempting to loot its Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
Nothing like a little "Political Shock and Awe" to start the week.
Happy Sunday evening to all as we search through the "smoke of political retort", in ascertaining how CD 9 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Curren Price weatherered the bruising "Shock and Awe Missive" via termed-out CD 8 City Councilman Bernard Parks ............, and with no apologies to Clowncilman Price, this verbal barrage is "priceless".
The former Inglewood State Senator, turned newby CD 9 City Clowncilman (in waiting for the next Ana Cubas Campaign against him), may want to execute a prompt withdraw back behind the redistricted boundaries of his CD-14 looted council district, in the aftermath of these verbal bombs
Although I appeared on "The Bold and the Beautiful" earlier this week, my method acting could not prepare me for the performance at Wednesday’s Coliseum Commission meeting.
I’m not going to disclose all the meddlesome details but the main fact is that Price did not come to me directly to discuss wanting to produce the Fireworks Extravaganza; I had to hear it from some of our vendors whom we have strong relationships with. The deception on Price’s part is reminiscent of when Milli Vanilli was stripped of their Grammy for lip-synching. Actually, it’s worse than that. He’s lip-synching and the Mark Ridley-Thomas and USC backup vocals can only hold him for so long, as excerpted below .......... (kaboom!!)

......., and the verbal barrage continues below.

The only defense that Price incessantly kept repeating is that the Coliseum is in his district (** kinda reminds us of Milli Vanilli's "Girl You Know Its Fake", like the litigious 2012 Redistricting Commission boundaries, but I digress), therefore, he should put on the event. 1) there’s not enough space in this letter for me to begin to discuss the still-in-litigation redistricting process that removed the Coliseum from my district 2) the Coliseum is a facility not only for the district in which it resides; it’s for the whole city to use.
Furthermore my district starts literally a few feet from the property line of Exposition Park which houses the Coliseum. Are we really going to draw lines in the sand?
It’s no secret that I was the only one to object to the giveaway of the Coliseum and Sports Arena to USC. This looks like petty high school payback. I thought as you get older you don’t have to put up such foolishness but it looks like it never ends.

....., as Clowncilman Price digs out of the political rubble of his attempted looting of a CD-8 created community event, he can regroup knowing that  "Baghdad Betty" Pleasant still has his back (with permission of "Mini-Amin" Wesson), ready to unleash "WMD's" of "Written Missives of Distortions", that doubles as weekly "Soulvine Columns".

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

We start off Political Blogging for 2014 by getting to the "MEAT" in the news.
Former Mayor Sam Blogger/ Sometime Tony Villar Driver/ Small Business Owner and the top Political Consultant against terminally-ill candidates Michael "MEAT" Trujillo.
Great bloggin 2014 to everyone as yesterday's celebration of a New Year turns into thee first regular work day back behind the keyboards. Thus, what better way to start 2014 than with a little bloggin "MEAT".
Our former bloggin colleague never fails to surprise us with his ability to find the entry way into a local news cycle. Imagine this blogger's surprise (or not) upon reviewing the daily edition of the "Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street" (aka LA Times) and finding numerous quotes from Trujillo regarding the larger than expected crowd for the New Year's Celebration at the Downtown Civic Center's Grand Park.
We should not be surprise that MEAT would find his way to a large downtown gathering, after all, with Tony Villar moving on to the Herbalife and his candidates of choice for Mayor, Wendy "IBEW, DWP, the Villar Machine and Boss D'Arcy's" Greuel not getting elected, the chance of "MEAT/ Chief Parker" getting invited to a local Political A-list New Year's Party, were slim.
But lets give credit to "MEAT/ Chief Parker" for not becoming part of the problem on New Year's (he can save his political problem-making abilities for the Billary 2016 Campaign). It would seem from the Times report that event officials and venders were caught off guard with the large turnout.
The Civic Center has a decades-long track record for turning out large crowds for musical events going back to the 1970's "Street Scene Events" (especially if booze is for sale). Plus, lets not forget that Downtown has become a more desirable living destination within the last few years.
** Kudos to KFI 640 A.M. for allowing now LA Public Works Commission President Kevin James to host Holiday Afternoon Drive the last two days. James was splendid back in his Talk Show Host role, with a nice interview of CD 15 City Councilman Joe Buscaino regarding the removal of parking meters, in the Business Districts of Wilmington and San Pedro, to promote enterprise.
** Our favorite City Council Sane Budgetary Hawk Bernard Parks had some interesting comments (Calling out California Governor "Moonbeam II" and the timing of former Failure Mayor Tony Villar's USC job) following a Superior Court Judge Ruling that forced the Coliseum Commission to pay the LA Times and California Aware's legal bills their collective investigation of Brown Act Violations originating from the Coliseum Giveaway to the "University of Scandalous Conduct".
** Lastly, but MOST IMPORTANT, the 2013 (in 2014) Mayor Sam Political Ass Clown Awards will begin the first full political blog week of 2014 on Monday.

Morning Brief on a Costly, Secrative Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

The Coliseum Commission, with help from the "University of Scandalous Conduct" (USC), provides a "100 Level, Teachable Moment" on the costly ramifications of violating the Brown Act.
Coliseum Commissioners, LA County Board of Supervisor Don Knabe and Mrs. Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson, with USC President C. L. Max Nikias, are all smiles about their respective back room dealings.
** Blogger's Musings: The local "Political Novella" that is the secret dealings behind the controversial Coliseum Commission/ USC Sweetheart Lease Agreement, may never rise up to the suspense level of "All the President's Men", but the political cast of characters, and now, its real life taxpayers cost (in legal bills payable to California Aware and the LA Times), are sure to place this "Public to Private Special Interest Giveaway Scheme", on the top shelf of backroom dealings exposed. This Political Novella is not lacking for characters, with the likes of a former Sports Scribe, turned Nazi-labeling political hack, an enabling wife of a diminutive Clowncil Central Committee Dictator, a foul-mouth appointed public official and the lone, crusading public office holder, providing flavor, seasoned by the sprinkling of the inquiring duo of California Aware and the LA Time (who's act of real-life Journalism is deserving of merit), makes for a local, dubious political production, worthy of closer investigation by higher authorities. Below, we look back on some of the noteworthy tidbits of this latest sordid political saga via the "Public/ Private Associates of the Los Angeles Political Machine"---Scott Johnson in CD 14
The "Wesson Way" can be litigious ......., and costly to the taxpayers.
Former LA Herald-Examiner Sports Scribe and current Coliseum Commissioner David Israel, is not shy about going "Nazi" on his fellow Commission Member.

Thou should know, now, that no backroom dealings remain secret for long.

The Coliseum Comission Emails Chronicles, Part 1: Where the Brown Act be Damned

The First Part in our Coliseum Commission Email Chronicles, where coarseness is vogue and the Brown Act be damned.
Former Herald-Examiner Sports Scribe and current Coliseum Commissioner David Israel, searching for Backroom Deal-breaking Nazis.
CD 8 City Councilman and Coliseum Commissioner Bernard Parks, the alleged, inept Nazi "Colonel Klink" of the Commission.
** Blogger's Note: Once upon a time in recent Los Angeles History, there was indeed a "Fishwrap of Record", not a "Otis Graying Collectivist Hag on Spring Street", but a "Hearst Examiner Paper on Broadway". As a child learning the act of reading, the daily review of musings from the best Sports Section in Los Angeles, was an exercise in vocabulary building via the likes of Allan "Mud" Malamud, Melvin Durslag, Lyle Spencer, Doug "Dougie" Kirkorian and a young sports writer named David Israel. Years later, Israel has parley his "craft of musing" into a lucrative life style of riches and political connections via his appointment to the Coliseum Commission by former Governor Arnold "The Kennedy Republican" Schwarzenegger. But sadly, a youth of today who was looking to grow he or she's vernacular via the latest Coliseum Commission musings of Israel, will need a bar of soap to clean the coarseness, a visit to the Holocaust Museum for lessons in sensitivity and most important, a tutorial on openness and ethics in governmental affairs. No wonder why Israel and his Coliseum Commission cohorts wanted back the documents given to the LA Times by an unidentified person, for the "act of fact-checking" is so easy when Israel's latest coarse and insensitive musings, are on the record---Scott Johnson.
Commissioner Israel's email comments on meeting fixing and comments regarding Councilman Parks.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Wednesday

Mayor Antonio Villar at Summer Night Lights.

This was so sad, ......but tragically predictable.

The Daily News reported last evening that two seasonal employees of the GRYD's Summer Night Lights Program were wounded in a gang-related shooting at Sun Valley Recreation Center last Thursday. Both are expected to survivie.

First, one must ask the Mayor's Office and LAPD why five days past before information of the shooting were made public. Its understandable that a certain level of privacy be accorded the victims of the shooting (especially when a minor is involved). But privacy concerns must also be weigh against the public right to information.

Second, will this shooting cause GYRD officials to augment security at all SNL sites? Each SNL sites have budgeted money set aside to hire four community-based security guards ( "members of the community with standing") Most SNL sites have low visibility when it comes to LAPD or GSP resources at the request of community members, will this change in light of the Sun Valley Recreation Center shooting?

We should note that in North Hollywood last evening, a fifteen year old male was killed in a gang-related shooting. City officials are going to have to come to the realization that prison realignment, along with SB 109 are creating a potent brew that has initiated an upswing in gang-related violent crimes in the City of Los Angeles.

** OTHER NEWS:

** What is it about a fugitive on the run who takes time to put on a mask and consents to an interview wit a former fishwrap of record? Well that was former Coliseum Contractor Tony Estrada who did just that for the LA Times and pleaded that he was a whistle blower regarding the illegal dealings at the the historic stadium.

** A quick "Oh Mario y Maribel" Update. Despite the dubious efforts of former City of San Fernando City Councilman Mario Hernandez's "Inner Tonto", The District Attorney Office is moving forward with its case against City Councilwoman Maribel "Sancha" De La Torre.

** LAFD will in panel a task force to deal with the issue of its much-criticise response times. But another possible LAFD controversy looming on the political horizon has to do with inspections, or lack of inspections of certain public facilities.

** As soon to be former DONE General Manager and CD 13 City Council Candidate Bong H. Kim, preps for his new professional gig down the I-5 Freeway in San Diego, some among the NC masses will miss the opportunity to discuss DONE issues with B.H. in "certain public facilities" (the "John").

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

What stories could all these Ex. CD 14 Staffers tell about their demanding Princeton Graduate boss?
......... and the list continues below.

46. Diego Contreras – Special Assistant
47. Deanna Kitamura – Legislative Deputy
48. Daitlin Cornuelle
49. Juanita Martinez, Field Deputy, Northeast
50. Hilda Carrillo
51. Wendy Carrillo - New Media Deputy
52. Adrien Lopez, - Field Deputy
53. Jim Omahen - Field Deputy, Northeast
54. Eva Camacho – Admin. Assistant
55. Edel Vizcarra – Planning Deputy
56. Jesse  Leon- Boyle Heights Field  Office  Director
..... and 57. Daniel Andalon-El Sereno Field Office

"The Society for Councilman Jose Huizar Ex-Staffers"
Shout out to the City Clowncil Central Committee unofficial historian CD 4 City Clowncilman Tom LaBonge, is the following list of aspiring public servants who just happen to seek employment with CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar, then flee for a better work work environment, an all time record for ex-staffers from one council office? ...... and the list just grew again as news leaked out of El Sereno that well-liked Daniel Andalon is moving to CD 1 City Clowncilman Ed Reyes staff. Why transfer from a just re-elected councilman staff that has long term job protection (as long as the work doesn't  conflict with your values) to a council staff that may change big time in 2013? Maybe balancing the demands of working for the ethically challenged Princeton Graduate, with conflicting personal values, created an "imbalance of being"?

** Position sword, fall forward.
For disgrace former Coliseum General Manager Pat Lynch, taking accountability for his actions was the easy thing to do, repay some cash ($385,000), stay out of jail. And about those nine other counts?
** OH MY GOD!! Its another City Controller Wendy "The Valley Greuel" audit/ campaign press release. In this latest Valley Greuel paper thin audit, she has an OH MY GOD fiscal moment seeking answers to the whereabouts of $7 Million dollars in petrol.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Wednesday

...... on this year's
"State of (Abandoning?) the Town of Eagle Rock Speech".
The likes of Michael Larsen, Pot Shop owners, the Eagle Rock Patch, connected CBOs, Tom Topping (if invited) and other Eagle Rock luminaries will spent quality time away from their close ones this evening on what should of been the last "State of the Town of Eagle Rock Speech" by "Downtown Councilman Jose Huizar".
As questions about the future of Colorado Blvd., Pot Shops, Massage Parlors, Yosemite Park and increase in crime await resolution in the minds of constituents, their councilman has quietly been working the Redistricting Commission to make Eagle Rock and its issues, the future responsibility of either CD 1 or CD 13.
The proposed map released by the Redistricting Commission shows that Councilman Huizar was partly successful in removing Highland Park (no more "MorYork Gallery Shakedowns" by staffers), Glassell Park (Bye, Bye Bradley!) and most of Mt. Washington (Hasta La Vista Southwest Society) from his district. But his bold plan to trade all of the Northeast for the campaign riches of CD 9's Downtown LA, came up short with Councilwoman Jan Perry holding on to LA Live and Councilman Huizar forced to endure four more years of phone calls from Garvanza and Eagle Rock.
Thus, the likes of Michael Larson and the Huizar enablers in what remains of Councilman Huizar's Northeast domain should fortify themselves to the fact that their "3 for loyalty" will not have the same value of a "Downtown 3" in a new "Downtowncentric CD 14" as the medical ganga burns on in Eagle Rock.
OTHER NEWS:
** BRAVO! This to the Korea Times Editorial Board for stating the obvious about true reason for redistricting in Los Angeles. ITS ALL ABOUT THE SPOILS STUPID! From the toothless LA Times.
In a biting editorial, the Korea Times attacked lawmakers for treating Koreatown like a "cash register" by taking campaign contributions from the neighborhood but not fighting for it.

Plus, you add in the cost of doing "cash only business" with certain city departments, and the bottom line of doing business in a future CD 10, become subject matter for investigated agencies.
** This should be a simple formula for corruption in government.
"Cash payments of public money to union strongman = TROUBLE!"
But as the LA Times goes front page, above the fold (and to the right of outer fishwrap advertisements) on the latest expose of monetary malfeasance at the Coliseum Commission, does anyone notice the absence of the siren sound of the media-seeking ambulance chaser of audits, City Controller Wendy "The Valley Greuel"?
But as noted in the "Weekly of Record" this is one audit that is "too close for political comfort".
Others, however, have painted the union as a victim, noting that benefits and tax liabilities have been lost if these allegations are true. City Controller Wendy Greuel told us previously that "IATSE clearly followed the rules on so many levels."

.... and what would LA Weekly Editor Jill Stewart think of that comment from the "Valley Greuel""Pul-eeze!"

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

Bringing Back Broadway Executive Director Jessica Wethington McLean
Former Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) E.D. Russell Brown.
As the Downtown News reported on the controversy over the termination of Russell Brown as the Historic Downtown BID Executive Director Russell Brown, Councilman Jose Huizar was none too happy about seeing "his guy" being kicked to the Broadway curve. Thus, last Friday Councilman Huizar sent Bringing Back Broadway E.D. Jessica Wethington McLean to the Historic Downtown BID special meeting on the executive director controversy, to enunciate Councilman Huizar's feelings .......and the results were not pretty.
According to sources, McLean attempted to lay down the Huizzy way, with no conditions, to the Board of Directors which provoked a sharp exchange between McLean and Downtown Developer Tom Gilmore. The net result is that the Historic Downtown BID Board of Directors stood their ground and Team Huizzy came out looking less than professional.
** Coliseum employees sure know how to game the system when it comes to paying itself perks and no surprise that the "Valley Greuel" that daylights as the City Controller is pandering with another shallow audit that doubles as a name recognition exercise.
** Governor Jerry "Moonbeam II" Brown will be front and center in the latest AEG production, as the Governor signs the Farmers Field Bill that grants special eniviromental exemptions to the Corporate Welfare City-State of AEG LA LIVE..
** Where are local leaders such as Mayor Antonio Villar and County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky imploring their fellow Democrats to "stay the heck away" from the anticipated OBAMAJAMAGEDDON traffic nightmare that will descend on West LA today?

Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Tuesday

Tuesday the Los Angeles City Council will vote to ratify the Mayor's appointment of Cynthia Ibarra to the City's Board of Relocation Appeals.  Yet, the report to the Council indicates Ms Ibarra doesn't live in the City of Los Angeles.  How is this appointment possible?

How do Clowncil Members Herb Wesson and Tom "Lights on a Statue" LeBong want to spend nearly $5,000 of your money? By spending it to "celebrate" the 17th anniversary of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. In the meantime merchants and residents are up in arms over massive parking meter rate increases in LeBong's and Wesson's districts because the City is "broke."  When do the people wake up to this insanity?

If all our schools had the level of parent participation and activism as seen by Debbie Lopez and all the moms and dads at Beckford Elementary in the San Fernando Valley the LAUSD might be better off.  And at least the teachers and staff at Beckford get that as they recently held an event to honor their volunteers.  Now if our school board didn't have useless hacks like Tamar Galatzan and Monica Garcia we might be even better off!

Two California state legislators are continuing to push a plan that could lead to the sale of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, perhaps to USC. The idea makes sense; State Senator Jeff Denham hopes to break the grip of the "three headed monster" - the Coliseum Commission - on the facility.  And no, as a reader at CurbedLA commented, that three headed monster at the Coliseum is not The Jonas Brothers.

If the latest pablum out of the mouth of former GOP Senator Arlen Specter is any sign; he's going to fit into the current Democratic Party just fine. Following the death of conservative icon Jack Kemp, Specter said in a television interview "If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today." So, according to Specter, the GOP killed Jack Kemp.

Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Thursday

A rambling screed on some blog I never heard of says NFL Football is coming to LA. Really? Not at the Coliseum since the Mayor declared it dead in an effort to keep USC at the historic stadium, despite them being treated shabbily by Bitter Bernie Parks' Coliseum Commission. Anyway, economics dictate a team will land in LA someday, but at a privately built stadium either Downtown in South Park or at Dodger Stadium (or even more likely somewhere outside LA like Carson).

President Bush delivered a crushing blow to plans to develop the West Los Angeles Veterans' Administration property near the 405 and Wilshire when he signed budget legislation that essentially prohibits the VA from doing any kind of development deal on the property. You know that the old, dead Republican Mayor is pretty strict when it comes private property rights and development. However, when the land is owned by the taxpayers, a little NIMBY/CAVE/BANANA action is warranted considering, well, it's our land.

Government programs and the bureaucrats who run them seem to go on like the Energizer bunny even when the masses the presume to be helping choose not to take advantage of the program. In this case, the Los Angeles Unified School District is set to lose millions of dollars in Federal funding for school lunches because, well, students are not participating in the program. School Board President Monica Garcia - who's never met a free lunch she didn't like - is aghast and is coming with all kinds of explanations as to why the kids and their parents don't take up the free food program. Everything from long lines (wouldn't that be a deterrent to the paying customers as well?) to embarrassment to too short lunch periods are the scapegoat. As we noted yesterday most of these government programs throw billions at a social cause for decades and nothing changes.

And finally, as Tammy Bruce noted, at a recent event, actress Sharon Stone didn't put it in a box, but she had a holiday present for her male fans.

Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Wednesday

Joseph Mailander has what could be the photo of the year, certainly the best photo of a government vehicle since this one, that is an LAPD patrol car reportedly parked in front of Mayor Villaraigosa's Mount Washington home for several days. Amazingly, the members of the spin zone have managed to convince themselves its not a police car, its not there and it never happened. Keep repeating that mantra kids!

Tuesday the Los Angeles City Council voted to have the Los Angeles City Clerk take over running the elections for Neighborhood Councils. Generally in favor of the idea but wanting to delay it a bit was Councilman Bill "Open Shirt" Rosendahl who told reporters "You don't need to make a decision today and shove it down the throats of my neighborhood councils.'' Wow. Really?

The Coliseum Commission meets Wednesday to try and come up with a relatively acceptable plan that will convince USC to stay in the historic stadium and not move to the Rose Bowl. So far the Commission's counter-offers have yet to satisfy USC's concerns as to whether or not needed renovations to the facility will be made.

Some are accusing Carson City Clowncilman turned Assembly candidate Mike Gipson of trying to bribe voters with a chance to win free gift cards at Target if they presented a ballot stub to his campaign office (thank God it wasn't Home Depot) but Gipson claims it was just an effort to turn out the vote. State officials say the move is legal; though probably skirts the spirit of the law. Thursday Hotsheet at 3 a.m.

JM, Grand Central Bike Rack, 12.11.07

He tried to take over the District; he padded the board with dittohead candidates; he went to the State for permission; a million or so was spent; nothing really worked. Now, a day after both quotidien fishwraps called the Mayor's money-without-a-plan microdistrict a "victory," the UTLA may challenge some results at two of the three affected high schools. It never ends.

° ° ° ° °

Trojans are promised a longterm offer sometime today. Proximity is not entitlement; the Commission should not give the Coliseum away just because the alum network is upping the pressure and leaning on everyone and her mother to do so. USC no more wants Pasadena than the Coliseum wants to lose USC; don't throw that chip away.

° ° ° ° °

The national fishwrap of record follows the Times on the LACMA gift. The gift is a staggering 130 pieces, but you know all those Giacommettis and Klees look the same. Yawn.

Don't get too worked up over the prospect of People v. Dogg or even Garcetti et al. v. Dogg as prospective First Amendment cases should Council institute and enforce a mask law. As recently as 2004 a Circuit Court (the Second) ruled (in KKK v. Kerik) that the First Amendment does not protect wearing masks especially if wearing a mask is not an essential element of the message being delivered. This Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal.

E'en so---when was the last time you saw a City Hall beat print guy toeing First Amendment waters?

Mayor Villaraigosa's Plan to keep USC at the Coliseum

As a public service we bring you the Mayor's "Seven Points of Reason" to keep USC Football at the Coliseum.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who has expressed his desire to keep USC playing its football games in the Coliseum, issued the following letter to the members of the Coliseum Commission today as it met to discuss the relaionship with USC.
Villaraigosa outlines seven principles of a proposed agreement:
For eighty-five years, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has been synonymous with Trojan Athletics. With this great university calling this great public building home, the public interest has been served in countless ways.I believe that the future of the Los Angeles Coliseum is inconceivable without USC and I, therefore, urge the Coliseum Commission to immediately negotiate a long-term agreement with the University of Southern California based on the following rules of the game:(O.J. slash and cut his way through those)
First, USC makes a long-term commitment to the Coliseum that will bring jobs and produce economic vitality in South Los Angeles long into the future.(Hmm. remember them??)
Second, the Coliseum Commission and USC commit to a major renovation to bring the facility up to modern standards.(Law requires that, whats new, a tenament on "Skid Row"??)
Third, the renovation efforts will give priority to necessary improvements in amenities serving the larger public, such as restrooms and concession areas.(For Raiders fans, a tad late)
Fourth, USC agrees to make a significant financial commitment to the restoration project.(Tuition money can only go so far)
Fifth, the Coliseum Commission and USC acknowledge that the Coliseum is a public treasure which belongs to all members of our community, and that opportunities for community access, use and enjoyment of the Coliseum in a variety of athletic, education and cultural events will be enhanced and improved.(So is "HUSKIE STADIUM" at East L.A. College)
Sixth, the Coliseum will be treated at all times as an historical landmark, and its architectural character shall be protected and preserved.(Until the next "QUAKE")
And seventh, any agreement will recognize a superseding interest in bringing the Olympic Games to the Coliseum.I am committed to working together as teammates to get this agreement over the goal line.(Were waiting Barry Sanders)
.......and "ELMERS THE HORSE" pranced with glee while the Trojan band played "CONQUEST".
