Councilman Huizar's "Orchestrated Affair Mea Culpa" Merits further Investigation

As CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar stands with attorney wife Richelle and kids in an Orchestrated Affair Mea Culpa, many questions remain outstanding, meriting further investigation regarding his workplace issues with former Deputy Chief of Staff Francine Godoy.
Another dubious milestone for the Princeton Graduate, turned embattled CD 14 City Clowncil Tonto.

Former CD 14 Deputy Chief of Staff Francine Godoy, stirring up the vindictive backlash of her former boss, with Sexual Harassment Lawsuit.
Welcome to another Friday Political Bad News Dump from CD 14 as City Councilman Jose Huizar stands with wife Richelle, child in hand, in an obviously Orchestrated Affair Mea Culpa regarding former Deputy Chief of Staff and current Sexual Harassment Accuser Francine Godoy.

Huizar's alleged act of contrition came in response to Godoy's filing of a Sexual Harrassment Lawsuit which makes the accusation that the CD 14 Office Holder retaliated against Godoy for resisting repeated sexual advances by the Princeton Graduate.

As the LA Weekly noted via citing from this blog's comments archives, rumors of a Huizar-Godoy Affair have been circulating for years since her initial hiring as an "Office Scheduler". But as this latest "Political Novella" plays out in the Court of Law, we have some speculative questions that merit further investigating.

** First, what was the hiring protocol/ time line for Godoy's current position with the Bureau of Sanitation? Was her current position predicated on a Civil Service process? If not, then who was responsible for Godoy's transfer, maybe former Mayor Antonio Villar?

** Second, what role did City Councilman Huizar's Attorney Wife Richelle play in the transfer of Godoy to the Bureau of Sanitation? A rumor making its way around City Hall, had Richelle going directly to then Mayor Villar and requesting that he use his power to remove Godoy from her husband's "oversight". From media sources, we know that this alleged action was initiated in the Summer of 2012. Thus, if this was true, would that merit deposing the former Mayor and staunch Council Huizar supporter?

** Third, what did former CD 14 Chief of Staff Ana Cubas know? Unlike Godoy, who alleges in her lawsuit, that Councilman Huizar reneged on endorsing her for a LA Community College Board of Trustees Campaign, for the meer act of "saying no" to his sexual advances, Cubas had her ex boss's full support in the recent CD 9 City Council Campaign loss to now City Councilman Curren Price. Will Cubas go on the record regarding Godoy's allegations?

** Fourth, did Councilman Huizar use a portion of the $1.2 Million Dollars plus, transferred from the CD 14 Central Los Angeles Refuge Transfer Station (CLARTS) Amenities Fund to pay for Godoy's rampant rise in pay? From $45,000 to $135,000 per year, this rapid hike in compensation, merits a complete audit how the transfer of CLARTS Funds into Councilman's Huizar Salary Account, were dispensed and the rationale behind those allocations.

** Fifth, how will Godoy justify acceptance of her increase salaries in recent years? According to sources, several properties are listed under her name, one in CD 14's Hillside Village Community and the second near Union Station. Would Godoy state for the record whether either one of the properties, was used (or not) by her and/or Councilman Huizar for any "extra-curricular activities"?

Sadly, there is no doubt here that either of these two will come out of this growing scandal clean. But the last question CD 14 voters should ask themselves come 2015, is whether Councilman Huizar is fit to serve another four years at City Hall.

Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

A Partnership in Educational Misconduct? Boyle Height's Roosevelt High School students find "extra-curricular uses" for new Apple-LAUSD iPads.
The home of the "Easy Cyber-breaching Riders"
A past Roosevelt Graduate (under 2.0 GPA) Tony Villar.
As a proud Abraham Lincoln High School Tiger Graduate, Class of 1984,  the recent media disclosures regarding the extra-curricular uses of LAUSD-Apple iPads at the high school that graduated former Mayor Antonio "Tony" Villar, is worthy of a bloggin inch, or more of commentary.
First, why should anyone be surprise (LAUSD School Board Member Steve Zimmer wasn't) that the current Easy Riders Student Body, would circumvent education standards and conduct, by showcasing their cyber-comprehension skills, in breaching the virtual security walls of the Apple iPads? After all, they share the same educational institution DNA as their former Partnership in Education Promoter Mayor Villar, who knew a thing, or two, about breaching walls of local schools in his youth.
Second, this proud Tiger can only ponder what if the likes of distinguish Roosevelt Grads, such as CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo, Rolando "The Big O" Cuevas and Tony Villar, had assess to iPads during their Easy Riders years. Think organizing a Dream Act Facebook Page for fellow Easy Rider Dreamers, creating a Facebook Page for promoting the East LA Classic Game After-Party and in Tony's case, "like" every Facebook Page of news-reading Telebimbos, respectively.
But seriously, this Tiger cannot ignore the irony that "iPadgate" is taking place on the same campus that was suppose to be the Legacy School of Mayor Villar's Partnership in Education, but is now a glaring example of what happens when the fiscal bottom line for campaign contributors, is more paramount than teaching civics ....... and ethics.
** With the annual Neighborhood Council Congress coming up this Saturday, we can surmise that the paramount issue will be the latest scandal regarding the DWP. As the likes of Mayor Eric Garcetti, City Controller Ron Galperin, along with City Clowncil Central Committee Members Mitch O'Farrell and Felipe Fuentes pledge to investigate, DWP IBEW "Goon Boss" Brian D'Arcy, gets thuggish with a female Daily Valley Moldy Green Sheet Reporter.

Morning Briefs on the Gun Buyback Scheme for Thursday

Free groceries entices thousands to give up their firearms.
Any symbolic political exercise is not complete without pandering politicians.
Any symbolic political exercise is not complete without a press/photo op.

With the likes of CD 15 City Councilman Joe Buscaino, City Controller/Mayoral Candidate Wendy "The Villar Greuel" and Mayor Antonio Villar in full view of the media, symbolism reign while the inconvenient truths on the follies of gun buybacks, was not on the agenda of an enabling press corps.
Leave it to this supposed subjective blogger to ask some objective questions regarding yesterday's symbolic endeavor.
First, in the wake of the fact that mentally-impaired individuals have been responsible for recent acts of mass shootings, why do we not make mental health counseling more readily available?
Third, were knives, bats, chains, and cars (** the LA Weekly reports on the bloody epidemic of hit and runs city-wide), which can also cause mass harm, part of yesterday's buyback?
Fourth, will the pandering politicos who were so ready to partake in yesterday's symbolic exercise, tell those who gave up their tool of self-defense, how thin LAPD is stretched and how many patrol vehicles are actually on duty, in areas like Northeast LA?
If constituents actually knew the truth about how stretched thin LAPD really is and the debacle that is the democratic-supported AB 109, then I dare say that a "gun handout program" is what is really needed. After all, is that what President Barack "H" Obama's ATF did in Mexico with the "Fast and Furious Program"?

Morning Briefs in the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

The wreckage of "Ciudad de Los Angeles" after the failed "Reign of Mayor Villar". Photo via The Jennerjahn Report.

The cost of the fail eight year "Reign of Mayor Antonio Villar" continues to rise.
** It seems like yesterday that Mayor Villar was posing with the payasos of Cirque de Soleil's as the upscale circus-like entertainment show announced its grand plans for a long run presentation on Hollywood Blvd at CIM's Hollywood and Vine Complex.
Well ........., those grand plans ran into a fiscal wall of reality as the high end cost of the show equated to low ticket sales, resulting in its demise next month.
Then there is the issue of the $30 Million Dollars loan from the City of LA Community Development Department and its repayment ............ don't hold your breath.

** Mayor Villar’s labor brothers and sisters among the workers at the Port of LA and Long Beach are facing pressure from him and others, to end the job action that could have disastrous consequences for the local economy in the near future.

** Mayor Villar’s transportation legacy took a painful hit at the ballot box as Measure J fail to gain the needed to two-thirds margin of the vote by a small percentage.

** Mayor Villar’s political mijo known as the Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar’s own legacy, awaits its final tabulation as Downtown residents (but not the property owners), vote “yay or nay” to taxing themselves $85 Million Dollars for Huizzy’s Choo Choo.

** Mayor Villar’s Fire Chief Brian Cummings would find it wise to have an engine on standby tomorrow as his requested appearance before the City Clowncil Central Committee, is sure to cause sparks regarding his non-resolution on the issue of response times.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

"I’m the mayor. I knew. I’m the mayor, and I knew. Let me be clear about something — I’m the mayor and I knew," via The City Maven
LA's press corps and bloggin community awaits an open and transparent reply from Mayor Villar regarding his knowledge of AEG's plans to sell its LA LIVE complex.
Hey Tony!

As many in City Hall and within the new/old media community, openly question your motives regarding your decision not to divulge the now public attempts by AEG to sell its LA LIVE City State holdings, would you care if I offer this bit of advise? Come clean on how a profitable AEG sale of the LA LIVE City State,.bids well for the future of one Antonio "Tony" Ramon Villar.

Longtime observers of your various political incarnations will agree that enabling favors for your political friends, commonly result in material gain for yourself.

Whether it was Cadiz's Keith Brackpool who gave you a consulting gig at the end of your days as Assembly Speaker, former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt who made you his box seat buddy, or AEG who granted you free tickets that led to ethics fines, you have always found ways to benefit off your enabling pursuits, that reaps riches for your exclusive friends.

Thus, it would come as no surprise that your reluctance to out AEG intentions, will surely have some future benefit for you beyond July 1, 2013, just how is up to you to ethically disclose now.

** The new look Wendy but still "The Valley Greuel" at the Hollywood Mayoral Candidate Forum
From left to right, Mayoral Candidates City Councilwoman Jan Perry, former KRLA Talk Show Host Kevin James and new look City Controller Wendy "The Valley Greuel" (What is the "Private Citizen/ Political Consultant" John Shallman rate for "extreme candidate makeovers"?) Photo by Phil Jennerjahn.
The former signature mane of "The Valley Greuel".
** Republican Congressional Candidate Phil Jennerjahn was in the audience last night at the Hollywood Mayoral Candidate Forum. Jennerjahn takes the time to pen a missive on last nights proceedings and it is surprising which candidate nibble away at his inner cheesy heart.
** Hollywood Blogger John Walsh has this take on a awkward moment for Mayoral Candidate Eric Garcetti, when an attempted joke regarding the mom of debate moderator Traci Savage, went sideways.
MS. TRACI SAVAGE DURING HER OPENING REMARKS PROUDLY INTRODUCED HER MOTHER JUDY SAVAGE SITTING IN THE AUDIENCE,MENTIONING THAT JUDY RAN A SUCCESSFUL CHILDREN’S TALENT AGENCY FOR MANY YEARS LOCATED NEAR THE SITE OF TONIGHT’S DEBATE ON VINE STREET.SHORTLY THEREAFTER ,WHEN COUNCILMAN GARCETTI’S TURN TO FIRST ADDRESS THE DEBATE AUDIENCE ARRIVED, THE L.A. CITY COUNCILMAN AND CURRENT MAYORAL CANDIDATE QUICKLY WANDERED OFF TOPIC TO INFORM THE PUBLIC AND THE ASSEMBLED MEDIA THAT TRACI SAVAGE’S MOTHER HAD ACTUALLY BEEN HIS TALENT AGENT FOR A TIME DURING ERIC’S CHILD ACTING DAYS.THEN ERIC ADDED IN A POOR ATTEMPT AT SUPPOSED HUMOR THAT TRACI SAVAGE’S MOTHER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR NEVER GETTING HIM A JOB , CAUSING HER PROUD DAUGHTER TO FLINCH NOTICEABLY AT THE PODIUM ON STAGE DUE TO THIS INSENSITIVE REMARK.

May we dare say that Garcetti has not master the art of stand up comedy?

** If you are in the mood for "spontaneous political theater" this evening, then Ron Kaye has just the right event for you.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of an historic moment tonight when constituents and challengers pop the question to Assemblyman Bob “2JobBob” Blumenfield:Which job, Bob, State Assembly or City Council?Be on hand for the festivities at Canoga Park’s ArtRageous Art Walk where Blumenfield — Assembly Budget chairman and architect of the last four disastrous California budgets — is holding what he calls “Sidewalk Office” hours to turn a community cultural event into a political theater for himself.2JobBob plans to meet and greet constituents from 6 to 8 p.m. at 7248 Owensmouth Ave., the mid-point of the event on Sherman Way between Topanga and Canoga.

Something tells me that "2JobBob" may practice the art form of dodging tonight.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

HAHA!! This CD 2/7 illegal resident (allegedly) wants to make your book card a legal ID.
Audacity!! ........ but all too predictable for the City Clowncil Central Committee.
If this comes to fruition, those among us who are residing in this country illegally would be able to use their library cards to open bank accounts, but rest assure that library cards will not double as driver licenses.
** The "Weekly of Record" via the "Snarky One", explores whether Mayor Antonio Ramon Villar (minus Raigosa out of respect to Corina) has embellish allegations regarding his father. Simple response is yes. Plus, do you hear "Tony" telling stories how is mom was a state employee at Cal Trans? That fact did not fit into the Parke Skelton crafted narrative that "Tony" regurgitates as truth.
** The duo political personas that is "Assembly Candidate/CD 3 City Council Candidate Bob Blumenfeld", really hit a ethical sore spot with CD 3 Resident/Blogger Ron Kaye. The verbal bites from Kaye's latest missive are bound to ignite speculation from some whether Kaye is exploring his own CD 3 Candidacy.
** Hollywood Blogger John Walsh had these comments regarding the Obama Campaign oversight of Mayor Antonio Villar's DNC Chairperson "performance".
BARACK ASSIGNED ” A MINDER” TO SHADOW ANTONIO WHEREVER HE WENT IN CHARLOTTE TO AVOID ANTONIO CAUSING EMBARRASSMENT TO HIS ADMINISTRATION OR THE PARTY.BETWEEN THE SECOND AND THIRD VOTE, ANTONIO LOOKS AROUND , SEARCHING FOR HIS MINDER. SHE THEN APPEARS : THE MIDDLE-AGED MYSTERY LADY. YOU HEAR HER TELL ANTONIO TO “DO WHAT THEY’RE GONNA DO.” IN OTHER WORDS, STAY THE COURSE AND READ OFF THE TELEPROMPTER. SHE STANDS NEXT TO ANTONIO UNTIL HE DOES WHAT THE MINDER TELLS HIM TO DO. AND THEN THE MINDER LEAVES THE STAGE.OUR WEBSITE IS TRYING TO ASCERTAIN THE IDENTITY OF THE MINDER.INCIDENTALLY, THAT DAZED LOOK ON HIS FACE ALL THROUGHOUT THIS CRINGE-WORTHY CONVENTION EPISODE IS THE EXACT SAME LOOK HE HAD ON HIS FACE THE TIME I WOKE HIM UP BY RAISING MY VOICE DURING PUBLIC COMMENT AFTER HE HAD NODDED OFF AT AN MTA BOARD MEETING!

How many local "minders" are on city payroll?

"Mayor Vanity Villar" in Full Spin Defense over DNC Platform Debacle

"How dare you Mayor Sam, to grade and question my DNC Chairperson performance"! I find your grading of me inflammatory!!
Memo to "Northern Boyle Heights" (ie. unincorporated county neighborhood of City Terrace) native Mayor Antonio Ramon Villar (or just "Tony" as we know him in the hood), narcissus vanity and lying, are a bad mix for spinning out of this latest political crisis of your own creation.
As most of the local, state and national political community have judged by now, your national political audition at the just concluded Democratic National Convention, merited the same grade as your multiple attempts to pass the California BAR Exam, F-A-I-L!! Que No?
Sorry to be so harsh Tony, but as someone who grew up across the freeway from your remarried Mom's home and lived within the shadows of the Villar Family parish (before your subsequent conversion to the religion of narcissus self-worship), this latest political fiasco, mixed with the well-chronicled tales of your past, makes this assessment, all too simple (just as simple as it was to read the teleprompter during your now infamous platform debacle).
Sadly, for the future of your political career and predictable to longtime observers of the "Villar Brand", the inner-machismo of your being, is making worse this latest debacle via these comments below to the formerly "LA Antonio Times" ** Notice the denial, blustery and vain tone of your comments Tony? I think naught.

“Not one person objected. (the denial) It’s more a media concern than a delegate concern.(the bluster) I can tell you this — the president of the United States said, ‘Wow.’ The president said, ‘You showed why you were speaker of the California Assembly,’” Villaraigosa said. (..... and oh, the narcissus vanity!!) “The president, the vice president, Mrs. Obama, all of them acknowledged the decisive way I handled that.” (in reality ouch! took a blow to my political privates for the party, thus, lowering my chances of any future, national political incarnations).

But maybe Tony, your "inner political machismo" needs to review the video ........., again.

The video doesn't lie, unlike a certain fail mayor.
After reviewing the video (and LMAO again!), I can understand Tony why you are in denial over those three minutes of democratic party reality, "flash backs". Tony, remember those younger Villar days, when the "Hazard Homies' would attempt to jump you on your way to Santa Teresita and you would do your best "Pollovillar", in running away? What happen to you in Charlotte was that the hard left, Jew-hating, god-loathing majority (judging from the voice vote on the video) of your democratic party, "jumped you and the party establishment" during the rigged platform charade, and unlike past episodes in your life (both political and personal), the inner "Pollovillar" had no escape route out of this "political jumping".
But as you have in the past Tony, instead of taking the consequences of this latest political jumping like a man, you revert back to your predictable revisionist behavior as exampled by this quote, again in the formerly "LA Antonio Times".

“It was a lot of ado about nothing,” the mayor said Friday. Villaraigosa said that when reporters told him after the vote that they did not clearly hear two-thirds support, he responded, “That’s nice to know. I was the chairman and I did, and that was the prerogative of the chair.”

That's strange because your all-knowing DNC teleprompter friend had the same point of view Tony.

   A Tony Villar like-minded teleprompter.

So Tony, how did you and your new DNC teleprompter buddy come to the same conclusion regarding the platform vote? Does your new teleprompter buddy repeat each word uttered by you verbatim? Who introduce you to your teleprompter buddy? Maybe it was the President Barack "H" Obama himself, who brought you two together, who knows? It must be nice to have an teleprompter friend who is so like-minded, that it resembles a wide screen incarnation of you (without the ahhhs). Yet in retrospect, I would've been more guarded about the "Chicago-like political tendencies" of your DNC teleprompter brother, in the wake of your platform debacle.

Thus Tony, as we close out these thoughts on your fail national political audition, here is some closing advise as a former neighbor (and discerning, deconstructing blogger). When the clock strikes midnight on July 1, 2013, move away quickly from your damaging eight year reign as the fail administrator of the nation's second's largest city and retreat somewhere (maybe drinking buddy Keith Brackpool has a crash pad and consulting gig waiting for you again?), to reflect inwards on the inner self-destructive behavior of one "Antonio Ramon Villar" aka Tony (minus the "Raigosa family values branding").

Reach out to your old loyal driver, errant boy, losing campaign consultant of choice Michael "MEAT" Trujillo. Have him pick up some cold ones (with paper bag wraps) and have MEAT drive you to that favorite hillside location of your youth in City Terrace, where the both of you can drink to past victories and too numerous recent political defeats. But in your hillside reflections, I would not give any thoughts to a possible future political incarnation as "California Governor Antonio Villar", for there is a certain Bay Area Lt. Governor and a majority of Californians, who will all come together to give you a "Political Blanket Party" on a election day. Que No Tony?

Grading the DNC Performance of Mayor Antonio Villar

Great democratic after-morning to all the growing number of dependentcrats who have sworn off the job search, in return for your new government EBT card. As the after-morning of the latest "Dependentcrat National Convention" nears the high noon of reality (especially with the latest job numbers), one local political figure is facing the reality that his efforts to rebrand himself as a national (and even state-wide) political voice for the future, was ahhhhh, a failure.
It was clear to all longtime Villar observers in this video clip, that this adage applies when deconstruction the background of the Mayor formerly known as Tony Villar of City Terrace. "You can take the Tony out of the hood, but you can't get the hood out of Tony". (** especially on his return visits to Metro Barber Shop).
The political facade that Mayor Antonio Villar was chosen as the Chairperson of the Dependentcrat National Convention because of his ethical, objective leadership potential, went up in smoke in the DNC "God and Jerusalem Platform" Debacle. Mayor Villar will be forever immortalize as the "useful window-dressing" that glossed over the growing anti-Israel and God influences within the Dependentcrat Party.
The "God and Jerusalem Platform Debacle" also showed that old habits still reign within the "inner City Terrace Tony", such as embellishing the truth. Any future political incarnation of the political Villar Brand, should take into consideration that teleprompters don't lie.
But swaying into objectivity for a bloggin moment, the Villar Brand (in any incarnation) can still rouse a like-minded mass of dependentcrats into an organize group of willing enablers. But as noted in his speech placement among the other assembled dependentcrats, Mayor Villar is seen as not ready for Prime Time status on the national level (** BTW Tony, City Terrace is not Boyle Heights).
As Mayor Villar returns from Charlotte, he may want to ponder taking a political step back and focus on the state of some of his local signature policy initiatives, such as the Summer Night Lights Program. The video above highlights the results of spending 89% of your time as mayor in promoting self and not on your paid duties as the chief administrator of the second-largest city in the United States (** Forward to 9:00 to view some "mosh mayhem").

ClassicMayorSam: The 11% Mayor

And finally as the Democratic National Convention, chaired by Antonio Villaraigosa, winds up, probably the most embarrassing thing for Los Angeles is that the Mayor reportedly spends about 11% of his day working on City business, while the rest of the time is spent on political fundraisers, concerts, parties, sitting for a wax dummy carving, dates and other productive events (Oh! Like the DNC!) This now legendary report by the LA Weekly's Patrick Range McDonald was a watershed in local reporting. From 2008...

One of the most delicious stories of 2008 was that of the LA Weekly's Patrick Range McDonald's excellent investigation into the schedule of Mayor Villaraigosa and the revelation that he only spends about 11% of his reported 16-18 hour days actually on any city related business.  The rest of the time is either related to fundraising for himself or other candidates, campaigning for candidates, appearing at photo opps and time spent traveling between all these non city-business related events. (One of the best items from McDonald's report: Villaraigosa's "sitting" for his wax dummy to be placed in Madame Tussaud's museum.)

"Everyone who knows me, knows I work hard. That's why both Sen. Clinton and Obama wanted me to campaign for them."
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

Apparently Villaraigosa didn't really appreciate McDonald making it known how little work he actually does and threw a zinger against the Weekly in Rick Orlov's Daily News column telling Orlov "It didn't really go anywhere because it wasn't true. They were upset because we only gave them my public calendar. They didn't get to see what I was doing privately, with meetings here (at City Hall) or in other places. Everyone who knows me, knows I work hard. That's why both Sen. Clinton and Obama wanted me to campaign for them."

Yet if you look at the copy of Villaraigosa's schedule the Weekly posted online, you can see that the "private" (blacked out) portions really only account for a small portion of the Mayor's schedule and really don't add up to hours of "working hard."

The truth is the Mayor is an attention addicted photo opp junkie who makes himself look silly whether it's hanging out with Dr. Seuss characters  or playing the conga drums with celebrities  at a taxpayer financed hotspot.

I have a feeling the Mayor could come to regret his statements to Orlov.  Stay tuned.

The Los Angeles Education Reform Mayor excels at Chicago-based Political Math

Witness the Los Angeles Education Reform Mayor Antonio Villar, mastering Chicago-based Political Mathematics.
A godless rabble of jew-blaming government dependents.
With the exception of the assorted practitioners of liberal bias scribegasms at the "LA Obama/Antonio Times" and local establishment blogs, most objective political observers are abuzz at what will go down as the Waterloo moment of Mayor Antonio Villar's national political aspirations. Oh BTW, Tony can forget about any chances of becoming the "Greece on the Pacific" Governor in the near future.
You can bet CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar's latest transfer from the CLARTS Fund, to his salary account, that somewhere in the Bay Area, a certain ex. San Francisco Mayor, was saving the video above  for a future state-wide campaign, which may never be needed.
Some (especially Trujillo) will make the case that the Mayor was place in an untenable situation as Team Obama sought to mask their disdain for Israel and conceal their crusade to replace God with government, which led to last evening's political debacle.
But lets not lose sight of the fact that it was the ambition of one Antonio Ramon Villar (or whatever Parke crafted incarnation is current), that allow him to be use as a political tool, that will very soon be discarded, to become political trivia for a later time.

** ...... and this from Gavin Newsome via the "LA Obama/Antonio Times"

California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom said early Thursday that he will run for governor in 2014 if Jerry Brown does not seek reelection.“If Jerry Brown doesn’t run, I have every intention of running. If he does run, I have every intention of supporting him enthusiastically,” Newsom said, adding that there was no indication that Brown does not plan to seek reelection..

Notice the timing of Gavin's announcement??

Classic MayorSam: Doug McIntyre Schools Annoying Democrat on Mayor Villaraigosa

On the eve of Barack Obama's big convention speech, here's a piece by Red Spot from earlier in this year that shows Obama nor even his top lieutenant, Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, apparently didn't know what an embarrassment even LA Democrats think our Mayor is. On a Fox News segment, KABC talkradio host Doug McIntyre tries to explain it to Wasserman-Schultz, who will have none of it.

KABC 790 AM Morning Show Host Doug McIntyre's "political education" of DNC Chairperson Congresswoman Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz on the reigning "11% Mayor of Los Angeles" Antonio Ramon Villar, continues its viral national ascension. On Friday, Doug gave the above pre-dawn interview with "Fox and Friends" on DNC Chairperson's sought out interview to discuss the Democratic National Committee's selection of the "visionary" City Terrace native as the "chairperson" of its National Convention in September.
You can link here to hear the "borderline offensive" retort of Doug McIntyre to Congresswoman Blabbermouth-Schultz's attempt to spin revisionist facts on the achievements (or lack of) of Mayor Villar. One can ponder as we near the Democratic Convention in September, how many times McIntyre's exchange with the Florida Congresswoman will be replayed to a national audience?

Classic MayorSam: VillarSalinas - We Told You So

More from the MayorSam wastebaskets, uh, archives as we celebrate Obama-nation in Charlotte, NC, glibly presided over by our own Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. This is the story that put MayorSam on the map and Mayor Villaraigosa in the dog house. From July 3rd, 2007

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who is in the midst of divorce proceedings with his wife, acknowledged he is in a relationship with a Spanish-language television reporter, according to a statement published Tuesday.

Villaraigosa issued a statement, published Tuesday by the Los Angeles Daily News, acknowledging his involvement with Telemundo newswoman Mirthala Salinas, after the paper told the mayor it was set to publish a story about their relationship.

"It is true that I have a relationship with Ms. Mirthala Salinas. As I've said I take full responsibility for my actions, and I once again ask that people respect my family's privacy. For my part, I intend to stay focused on my job, and to work as hard as I can every day to be the best mayor I can be," Villaraigosa said.

Ahhhh! A Bumbling Mayor Villar Introduction

We were waiting for this moment of disconnect between Mayor Antonio Villar and the teleprompter.
You can try various Parke crafted political incarnations to create the ideal Latino politico, but in the end it will always result in a homie from City Terrace name Tony.
LAist has some background on the latest Ahhh Moment from Mayor Villar.
We know Villaraigosa loves the cameras, but one website is suggesting he loves the nightlife a little more, theorizing that our civic leader "had done too much partying with lobbyists and other elitists before he took the stage." (That same site offers readers the chance to pick one of four reasons in a "poll" to explain the fumble: Drunk, Nervous, Medical Condition, or Blame Bush, noting in their commentary: "The Democrats will likely blame Villaraigosa's slurred speech and mispronunciation on Bush. Further, they will accuse anyone who laughs at the video of racism and anti-immigrant xenophobia.")

Classic MayorSam: The Anyone But Antonio Meme

More from the MayorSam archives as Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa leads Barack Obama's three day infomercial in Charlotte. Here's when even the left leaning bloggers turned on the Mayor prior to his re-election.

The Mayor and his minions have launched a "campaign" that is almost comical in it's lies, distortions and mistruths when it comes to representing his record over the last four years (or would that be acutally the 161 days he actually worked on City business?).

If you've read this blog you're familiar with all his mis-doings from Mirthala to toilets to more serious matters like the fiscal health of the city.  You know how big of a kleptocracy Los Angeles has become. So its not a surprise that blogs beyond this one are starting to call for rejection of this 11% mayor.

Not known for being a radical MetBlogs' David Markland gets the ball rolling asking voters to "head to the polls March 3rd and vote for anyone BUT Antonio."  Next Joseph Mailander at Street Hassle picks it up hat tipping to Markland and saying that the Mayor and his handlers have "denied democracy to Los Angeles" this election season.  Fishbowl LA is next to chime in offering that Markland's "reasoning is sound."

So who's next?

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

"Telebimbo Numero Uno Mirthala Salinas".

For the eligible aspiring Telebimbos that will be within proximity of Mayor Villar this weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina, we bring you in Mirthala's own words, what type of man Tony V. is in the presence of young Telebimbos.
What was he like? (when cheating on his wife)Mirthala Salinas smiles fondly and takes a deep breath. (flash back moments of pleasure) “A happy person. (happy to cheat with Telebimbo twenty years younger) A good-hearted person. Humble (????). Outgoing but cautious (no messages of love on city-owned Blackberry please!!). Not shy, but he observes people (what Telebimbo or chulita is next). Like I can be outgoing, but I’m shy (Fabian and Tony laugh at that), and I think he’s more outgoing (especially with women), but cautious (cheating on wife can cause loss of approval ratings). And, you know, I don’t blame him (what about Corina?). In the world he’s in, it’s hard (but you made it easy). He’s slow in getting to know you (Ahhhh?), but he’s a very positive person, very energetic person (Viagra?). He’s very—what’s the word? Positive (unlike the state of the city)? Like in his mind, there’s no room for negative thinking. Everything is good. Life is beautiful (especially with a younger Sancha).”

Thus, you have the "face" of "Democratic Family Values".

He's Back in the Foothills seeking Tax Assessments!!
Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy/Mountain Recreation Conservation Authority Strongman Joe Edmiston.
Once again the residents of the Santa Monica Mountains are facing future fiscal bites to the wallet, from none other than the reigning "political predator" of open space SMMC/MRCA's Joe Edmiston. KABC 790 AM Morning Drive Host and Daily News Columnist Doug McIntyre has the details ........
Measure HH would slap a $24 per parcel tax on land east of the 405, including the Hollywood Hills, while Measure MM will ding property owners west of the 405 $19 a year for the next 10 years. Stolarz claims the money will allow the MRCA to maintain and acquire additional open space, parkland, wildlife corridors, natural habitats, waters and facilities in two "zones" targeted for taxation by Joe Edmiston.

Lets get real, the money goes towards sustaining Ranger Joe's (who wears hat and carries gun) fiefdom with perks for his political friends..

Looking for the Political Special Someone (political failure) to Share your DNC Experience?
Beyond the toughness is well ...........
The Downtown News Editor and Scribe of Wit once again channels the inner persona of former City Terrace tough guy, turn progressive politico Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Thus, if you are a single brunette aspiring telebimbo, we have your match.
Impossible Dreamer Seeks Same: Who says all the good ones are taken? Mentally and physically buff mayor (I once worked out so much my rings stopped fitting) in search of refined Democratic lady for laughs, dancing and midnight subway rides to the sea. My hobbies: planting 1 million trees, giving out rain ponchos to protesters and appearing on national television. I’ve got a never-say-die attitude and dream about making things better, and if you have the same dream and no longer read local newspapers because you’re turned off by the Negative Nellies, then we should meet and have lunch. And maybe some sex.

Disclosure: He comes with mansion with an termination date of July 1, 2013.

Classic MayorSam: Mayor Loses His Democratic Mojo

In honor of Mayor Villaraigosa's role as the Chairman of this week's Democratic National Convention, we're going to post a few of our past Antonio stories from the Mayor Sam Archives. This gem from August 21st, 2008 details how the Mayor was virtually ignored by the Obama campaign during the 2008 Convention. My, what a difference four years have made.

It's not a good week for Mayor Villaraigosa when it comes to being a Democratic party superstar.

First off the Mayor was passed over for a speaking spot at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.  Next Barack Obama didn't pick the Mayor for his Latino- but Bill Clinton was chosen.  Finally Villaraigosa's home state Democratic rival Gavin Newsom will be hosting a big deal.

Speculation is rampant that the Obama campaign wants to distance themselves from the Mayor due to his high-profile extamarital affair with former TV newswoman Mirthala Salinas.

Not to worry, I think Antonio's sharing a room with Bill Rosendahl and Jack Weiss at the Days Inn and will be on a panel discussion on "travel tips" Sunday before the Convention starts.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

Once again, Monica Garcia's LAUSD targets the El Sereno Community as a repository for tainted educators and a fail Charter School.

Mayor Sam has learned that former controversial Miramonte Elementary Principal Martin Sandoval "was" reassigned to El Sereno's Sierra Park Elementary. "Was" because of the actions of informed parents such as Mari Cameron who post this comment on The Voice Community News Facebook Page.......
Friends i am horrified...Superintendent Deasy...SHAME ON U..Some1 please tell me it isnt so..my son attends Sierra Park Elem..Well we had the pleasure of welcoming a new principal interestingly enough it was the same principal from Miramonte elementary school..Martin Sandoval..Sure dump him off in El Sereno..Surely no1 in El Sereno has axcess to newspaper, internet or tv..tHANK gOD he was removed after four days and the LAUSD barely made it public today after the fact.. Mr Sandoval was responsible for the whole notification debacle at miramonte elem.. He failed to notify ALL parents that a teacher in his employ for many years was behaving and engaging in lewd acts with students.. A man such as this has no place in public education..

Again, LAUSD School Board President Monica Garcia shows her respect for the supposed community that she resides. This, on top of her continuing support of the controversial, and potentially dangerous Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School, should prompt community member to consider her removal at the ballot box in March.
Your Princeton Graduate, Dear Charro Councilman needs YOU!!
A urgent special message from your Princeton Graduate, Dear Charro City Councilman Jose Huizar (via CD 14 Propaganda Director Rick "Coca Puffs".).
The Huntington Street Plaza is very close to receiving final approvals. Councilmember Huizar and Living Streets LA need everyone’s help to clear the last hurdle to realizing your (HaHa! just joking, I take credit for everything good in CD 14) plans.During the next week, the City Council will be deliberating on the Council District 14 Parklet pilot program that will give us permission (like "your" permission to allow Academia Semillas del Pueblo to operate next to a establish eatery the serves alcohol) to build our Street Plaza on Huntington Drive as a demonstration of improvements that could be made citywide. One key point in the deliberations will be confirming that there is broad community support for the project (Academia will provide its "rent a crowd" for the price of overlooking past zoning and lack of permit issues). So, we urge you to attend the Council Committee hearings on August 21st and 22nd and the Council meeting on Friday, August 24th to show your support. (but please no comments on the CLARTS Fund or questions from El Sereno merchants regarding zoning issues at "Tata Marco's" esteem collective for Azteca indoctrination).

We should note that El Sereno residents can raise their loyalty score on Councilman Huizar's Constituent Discrimination, whoops, Contact List, by speaking in glowing terms on the positive vision for a better El Sereno tomorrow, as envisioned by your Princeton Graduate, Dear Charro. (** Plus look what a perfect score on the list did for "new Councilman Huizar staffer Julio Torres).
Team Obama's "Great Latino Hope" for Four More Years.
The "Great Latino Hope" for Team Obama's forlorn quest for a second term, will meet with the local masses of assorted "Dependentcrats", "Dummycrats", "Socialists" and his remaining friends from his brothers and sisters of the local unions. As the "Great Latino Hope" nears his appointed departure time to depart for Charlotte, North Carolina, to act as the Payaso Chairperson of the Democrat National Convention, he will take time to reaffirm his support for his union brothers and sisters, to continue their practice of using dues money to remake California into "Greece on the Pacific" via a "no vote" on Prop 32.
Los Angeles County Democratic Party Presents
"Countdown to Charlotte" with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

WHAT: Los Angeles County Democratic Party Presents "Countdown to Charlotte: What's at Stake in 2012" with Democratic National Convention Chair and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

With just two weeks to go before the Democratic National Convention, Mayor Villaraigosa will contrast President Obama's commitment to moving America forward (towards a merge with Moscow) with Mitt Romney's upside-down economics that will only serve the one percent. (Occupy speak)

Mayor Villaraigosa will also speak publicly for the first time on why he is opposing Proposition 32, the deceptive Special Exemptions Act on the November ballot. (democrat code speak for reform that hurts the their stranglehold on power in "Greece on the Pacific")

Proposition 32 purports to be about "stopping special interests," even though the measure actually gives special exemptions to corporate special interests and Super PACs while silencing the political voice of California's everyday heroes - teachers, firefighters, nurses, and police officers. (** maybe Tony might want to debate former State Senator Gloria Romero who is supporting this needed reform?)

WHEN: Tuesday, August 21, 2012. 7:00 PM

WHERE: IATSE Local 80. 2520 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA

WHO: Hon. Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor, City of Los Angeles and Chair, Democratic National Convention
Mr. Eric C. Bauman, Chair, Los Angeles County Democratic Party and Vice Chair, California Democratic Party

NOTE: Open Press - Please RSVP to communications@lacdp.orgMedia inquiries, please contact Clark Lee - 909.702.5809 / clarklee@lacdp.org

In ending, wonder if Trujillo will take Tony to the airport?

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

Dakota Communications and respected Political Consultant Rick Taylor signs on to rehabilitate the politically-damage image of City Attorney Carmen Trutanich.
As we reported yesterday, Dakota Communications Rick Taylor has signed on for two jobs and an undisclosed pay day, with politically-damage goods City Attorney Carmen Trutanich. Image rehabilitation will be job number one and then the task of getting Nuch re-elected to a second term is job two. One observer noted that just the task of rehabilitating the damage image of the San Pedro attorney, is taxing enough for most consultants. Then you add the fact that you are engage in a re-election campaign and having to raise money from a zero sum, well ............. you get the idea of the challenge ahead for Taylor. But as the LA Dragnet Blog opines, there could be some major upside for Taylor and Dakota Communications if they are successful with Nuch's political rehabilitation, which can be describe in two words, "lobbying access". Oh BTW!! One last question for Taylor, is Zev running?
CD 9 City Council Candidate David Roberts quickly raises first $50,000
CD 9 City Council Candidate David Roberts
It seems like yesterday that the former 2012 CD 9 representative to the tainted 2012 Redistricting Commission was announcing his intentions to replace City Councilwoman Jan Perry. Now as of late last week, Roberts is reporting that his campaign has raised its first $50,000 in contributions. This puts Roberts about even with fellow CD 9 candidates Assemblyman Mike Davis and controversial former CD 14 Chief of Staff Ana Cubas. All three are behind surprising fundraising leader LAPD's Terry Hata, who has raised six-figures in contributions.
Will Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's "Partnership in Education" survive beyond end of his reign at City Hall?
Mayor Villar confronts critics of his "Partnership in Education".
In yesterday's missive in the Daily News by Rick Orlov, regarding the future of Mayor Villar's success-challenged "Partnership in Education, we respectfully submit that two words will make (slim chance) or break (big time possibility), whether Mayor Villar's front for connected non profit enrichment (think Inner City Struggles) will flounder beyond the end of his term. Those two weighty words are MONICA GARCIA. Orlov may want to invest some future story budget, documenting the tyrannical excesses of the reigning presiding official of LAUSD's Board of Education and the fact that her blatant political considerations (with the mayor's blessings) are endangering the health and safety of children under her charge.

The "John and Ken" take on the alleged Raunchy Ranch Behavior of Ramon "Kinko" Cortines

** Blogger's Note: Our posting of the Courthouse News Services story regarding the alleged Raunchy Ranch behavior of former LAUSD Superintendent Ramon "Kinko" Cortines has garner attention on the local Talk Radio airwaves. KFI's "John and Ken" on their Thursday broadcast, gave a dramatic reading of the lurid details of the alleged behavior of the diminutive educator (with backing Larry Flint and Marvin Gaye sound affects). Further, we understand that KABC's Doug McIntyre and John Phillips had some colorful commentary regarding the "Brokeback" antics of Cortines (we will post link to podcast shortly). For those who may want to take issue with our mocking of the behavior of the former top educator at LAUSD, you should note that during the Reign of the supposed Education Reformer, Mayor Antonio Villar (with Monica Garcia's support), two schools of higher learning have been named for a man who died while being "serviced in a card reading establishment" and a former educator who loves to live out his own alleged "Brokeback adventures", respectively---Scott Johnson
KFI's John and Ken give a dramatic reading (the "Kinko Cortines" segment starts at the 12:00 mark) on the alleged Raunchy Ranch exploits of former LAUSD Superintendent Ramon "Kinko" Cortines.
Would you like to come to my ranch for the weekend?
Were there other LAUSD employees who Ramon "Kinko" Cortines lusted over during his tenure as Mayor Antonio Villar's choice to oversee the second largest public school district in the nation?
Was the alleged Raunchy Ranch Behavior of former Superintendent Ramon "Kinko" Cortines a behind the scenes motivation for naming the new LAUSD "Visual and Performing Arts" High School in his honor?
