HOT Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

The Mayor Sam Blog presents a "Bloggin Then and Now Moment" featuring former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar-(then Raigosa) Mayoral Deputy Jim Bickhart, who's "Snake Pliskin Persona" was the cause for an "Unpaid Fall from Grace", has resurface in a PAID Political Staff Position ........., with surprising Policy Responsibilities.
Former Failure Mayor Villar-(then Raigosa) Deputy Jim Bickhart exerting his OVERSIGHT of Animal Services in 2007.
** Blogger's Notes: Great Monday to all as we present a "Bloggin Then and Now Moment" featuring VETERAN City Hall Staffer/Political Crony Jim Bickhart. Once upon a political time (back in the Failure Mayor Antonio Villar-then Raigosa Era), a THEN Deputy Mayor Bickhart, was observe exercising his "Oversight" of the much-malign Animal Services Department.
One could surmise during his "Episodes of Oversight", that Bickhart was engaging his "Inner Snake Pliskin Persona", which allegedly, had opinions that were contrary to the Official Policies of his Boss Tony (regarding Overnight RV Parking Zones in Venice) ........, as excerpted below.
“We got what we wanted on the RVs and campers. Who do we go after next? We can’t stop until this place is all cleansed. Wash away the scum. ALL of it.” “Who cares? Villa-la-grossa is just as big a coward as Rosendahl. Maybe the Stakeholders are right – if these folks won’t leave, we should get someone to come around with a semi, load the homeless scum into it like stinking sardines and drive them out to the Mojave. Dump ‘em there in the dead of night blindfolded and drive away. Period. End of story.” “Next time one of those wussies heckles you, just pop ‘em one. No. They protect scum, they should be treated like scum. It doesn’t matter if they make money sucking on the government tit or if there Wolfgang frigging *#!%$!. Time is running short.”
......., and needless to say  Birkhart PAID a short term cost for his "Inner Snake Pliskin Thoughts". But years later (in 2017), Birkhart's Pliskin Homeless Commentary has apparently been FORGIVEN as the longtime servant of the City Hall Establishment, has a NEW GIG ..........., with some surprising responsibilities.

From CD-5 Paul Koretz's Staff Bios ..........,  Jim (or Snake?) consults on a variety of policy and legislative matters, including housing, homelessness, land use, airports, infrastructure, environment and animal welfare, amongst others. Additionally he provides support in the area of communications

Its apparent that being a Crony Enabler has REDEEMING benefits.
The STILL Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez to Washingtion D.C. Burro (with Carpetbag) is on Standby.
** The transition from "Assembly Somebody to Congressional Nobody" is sadly nearing for STILL Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez as his MUCH-LAUDED victory over the "Big Red Morrison Machine" .........., nears its MUCH-RIDICULED end as the vacillating Congressman-elected five week delay in seeking to support Governor Moonbeam II's "Cap and Trade Extension", has apparently come to NAUGHT.
Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Board of Trustee Member Gabriel Buelna.
** Does, NEW LACCD Board of Trustee Member Gabriel Buelna have an EL PLAN  ............, to returned the reformed Educational Entity into its former DOCUMENTED (via the LA Times), "Cronyism over Merit Contracting Proclivities"? Supporters of Pro Active Reforms at LACCD might want to take a Cyber Moment to Google "Gabriel Buelna, Gustavo Valdivia" ..........., then Google "Gustavo Valdivia, Samuel In, Mayor Sam" .........., next Google "Gustavo Valdivia, Grande Vista Associates, HACLA, LA Times"  ......... and ponder whether Trustee Buelna can be TRUSTED to continue the needed reforms----Scott Johnson.

HOT Blockbuster Brief on the Los Angeles Clinton Political Machine for Monday

With no apologies to "The Old Clintonista Hag on Spring Street (aka LA Times)", the Wall Street Journal is reporting a "Los Angeles Political Corruption Connection" in its FBI Clinton Foundation Criminal Investigation Missive which details alleged obstruction via the President Obama Administration's Justice Department.
......., with branch office at 200 Spring Street.
The now, "Antonio Villargovea" pondering ............, how many starving Haitians could we have fed for the price of Hillary's Tacos?
** Oh the love of bloggin speculation!!
With a FORMERLY, Fishwrap of Record ......., located on Spring Street, continuing its agenda journalism devolution (with a couple of exceptions in today's edition), we had plenty of cyber time to read numerous reactions to Friday's Political October Surprise, via the FBI's announcement regarding the REOPENING of Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton Email Investigation.
By far, the most-telling missive regarding the background behind Friday's FBI Announcement, was today's Wall Street Journal's Exclusive which disclosed not only the inner-workings involving the Clinton Email Investigation, but also noted that the top law enforcement agency was/is continuing to investigate the Clinton Foundation ............., and an alleged Los Angeles link.
Early this year, four FBI field offices—New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Little Rock, Ark. were collecting information about the Clinton Foundation to see if there was evidence of financial crimes or influence-peddling, according to people familiar with the matter.Los Angeles agents had picked up information about the Clinton Foundation from an unrelated public corruption case and had issued some subpoenas for bank records related to the foundation, these people said.
BOY ...., OH BOY!!  Our bloggin intuition upon reading this, notched into overdrive, prompting Google Searches and phone calls to various political observers. We know that the FBI has been involve in numerous local corruption investigations in recent years ..........., with most of the specifics going unreported.

But we do know for fact that a couple of local controversial Public Officials have found "soft landings" via the Clinton Foundation, after leaving behind their nefarious political dealings, remember former DWP General Manager H David Nahai?

After nearly two years of fending off criticism from ratepayers and his own employees, H. David Nahai stepped down Friday as head of the nation's largest municipally owned utility, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Nahai, 56, said in a letter to Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa that he would leave immediately to take a position as an advisor to former President Clinton's climate initiative to battle global warming. But well before he announced his new job, the Iranian-born environmentalist and attorney found himself under fire on several fronts. Support within Villaraigosa's office had eroded dramatically, and Brian D'Arcy, the head of the DWP's powerful employees union, had stopped speaking to him, sources familiar with the situation said.
..........., and who else would find the Clinton Foundation accommodating after two Failed Mayoral Terms in Office? Hint, this "City Terrace Native" and Nahai shared numerous "wine-filled, profane dining outings (allegedly)". Thus, no one should be surprise that a former Failure Mayor would say the following about the Clintons.

"I know her. I do trust her frankly, and I do because they haven't enriched themselves from politics frankly," Villaraigosa told MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "What they have done, whether through the foundation or through their work in public service is help a whole lot of people. This is a woman who has spent her entire life investing in children. The Clinton foundation has done a lot of really good work.

......, and who is living a newlywed life in the Hollywood Hills, thanks in part to the Clinton Foundation?

HOT Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

Second Term-seeking 39th Assembly District Assemblywoman Patty Lopez, is the recipient of a $7,500 FPPC Fine/Lesson on following Campaign Finance Rules.
Now 39th AD Assemblywoman Patty Lopez (center) during 2014 Ballot Count.
** Blogger's Note: Its a safe bet that any discerning observer of the 2014 39th Assembly District Contest between then Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra, and now Assemblywoman Patty Lopez, would NOT cite the Campaign of the upstart candidate as an ideal Grass Roots-structured example to emulate ..........., especially in regards to its finances. As the Second Term-seeking Assemblywoman NOW KNOWS (via last week's FPPC ruling) , even the best of intentions in campaigning, are still held accountable as noted below.

6. In the Matter of Patricia López, Patty López for Assembly 2014, and Carolina Perez; FPPC Nos. 15/313 and 15/314.Staff: Senior Commission Counsel Angela Brereton, Special Investigator Paul Rasey, and Program Specialist Soni Mangat. Patricia López was a successful candidate for Assembly District 39 in the June 3, 2014 Primary Election, and in the November 4, 2014 General Election. Patty López for Assembly 2014 was her candidate controlled committee. At all relevant times, Carolina Perez was the treasurer of the Committee. López, Patty López for Assembly 2014, and Perez failed to timely file one semiannual campaign statement and two preelection campaign statements for reporting periods in 2014 by the applicable due dates, in violation of Government Code Sections 84200, subdivision (a), 84200.5, subdivision (a), and 84200.7, subdivision (b) (1 count); failed to deposit contributions into a single, designated campaign bank account prior to expenditure, in violation of Government Code Sections 85201, subdivisions (c) and (e) (1 count); received cash contributions of $100 or more totaling approximately $1,300, and made cash expenditures of $100 or more, totaling approximately $1,220, in violation of Government Code Section 84300, subdivisions (a) and (b) (1 count); failed to maintain supporting records for contributions and loans received and expenditures made, in violation of Government Code Section 84104 (1 count); López failed to disclose required economic interests of real property and income in her Candidate Statement of Economic Interests, in violation of Government Code Sections 87206 and 87207 (1 count).Total Proposed Penalty: $7,500.

Meanwhile ......., a Federal Grand Jury is still outstanding in rendering Justice against a Northeast San Fernando Valley Democratic Machine, that holds Accountability in contempt (allegedly).

THEE Classic Los Angeles Magazine Cover of a now former Failure Mayor.
** AHHHH, to paraphrase a certain former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar ........, AHHHHH, I have alot of Service left in me (or servicing of Telebimbos?). Thus, we can safely keyboard here that the "2018 Tony Villar for Governor Campaign" is nearly bloggin upon us. But with no apologies to "Team Tony", we must ponder whether a "Failure Politico" is fit to govern "The Greece on the Pacific (formerly The Golden State)" if he can't properly identify an ISIS-inspired Terrorist Attack as exampled below from his Twitter Account yesterday.
18 hours ago18 hours ago. and I agree, to honor victims of mass shooting, both and should debate there.

AHHHHH?? Maybe "MEAT/Chief Parker" should craft the Tweets (when not driving Tony).
CD 12 City Councilman and LAPD Reserve Officer Mitch Englander.
** Nuch 2.0?? Did I hear a bloggin backfire after the latest campaign shot aimed at LA County Board of Supervisor Candidate Mitch Englander regarding his Ballot Designation as "Councilmember/Police Officer" by opposing Candidate Elon Carr's (and noted Hector Chacon Political Machine Associate) Campaign Consultant John Thomas? In noting his Tweet below that seem to insinuate that the CD 12 Officeholder ........., and LAPD Reserve Officer, is a "Nuch in Uniform" ......, we will simply state, be careful what you wish for.

Mar 18Could Mitch Englander be LA County's 2.0?

........, to be continued.

Morning Briefs on 2017 Los Angeles Mayoral Ambitions for Thursday

As we near the end of the First Month of 2016, potential candidates to challenge Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's bid for a Second Term, are making their possible intentions known ......, and all have ties to the past Administration of Former Failure (and possible competitor for Governor in 2018) Mayor Antonio Villar .
When will Jose Huizar walk across the future Bridge of Political Ambition, 2017?
** Blogger's Note: We are less than fourteen months away from the 2017 Los Angeles Municipal Elections and despite having $Two Million dollars plus on hand, Mayor Eric Garcetti's bid for a Second Term (and quest for Higher Office) will not go unchallenged .........., especially from a certain, ahhh, rival Political Faction.
Coincidence, or not, two associates linked to fail policy initiatives via the reign of former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar have made public their possible, respective intentions to challenge Mayor Eric Garcetti's bid for a Second Term.

Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

As former Los Angeles Failure Mayor Antonio Villar makes the rounds of California Municipalities in search of a 2018 Political Rebirth, he may want to fully disclose (and screen) what happen between him and Charlie on that infamous night in Cabos?
What happens (or gets transmitted) in Cabos, stays in Cabos (or at least until a pending state-wide election in 2018).
** Blogger's Note: For those who live fast and loose, especially when far-removed from the choreographed facades of a ambitious political persona, let the above photo of HIV-positive Charlie Sheen and former LA Failure Mayor Antonio Villar, enjoying a night of partying in Cabos San Lucas (allegedly), remind the political fast lane crowd of the potential, adverse consequences of questionable, life-style choices. Here at Mayor Sam, we have posted "ahhhhh" ......, many missives over the years regarding the alleged, alcohol-fueled theatrics of the City Terrace-native. But few will remember what a "Lifestyle of Excess" did for the likes of late Southeast LA County Assemblyman Marcos Firebaugh, who died at 39 due to Influenza and Liver Failure. Two years before he died, then Assemblyman Firebaugh upon the discovery of the Liver Ailmate that would take his life stated ......, "I drank like a fish, ate like a pig, stayed out till wee hours of the night and never slept," ......, which was a recipe for a early death.
** As the political fallout from the Paris Terrorist Attacks engulfs the national political landscape, we ask the following question of Mayor Eric Garcetti in lieu of "Greece on the Pacific (formerly The Golden State)" Governor Jerry "Moonbeam, Part II" Brown's pledge to work with President Barack "H" Obama in relocating Syrians Refugees to our state. "Will Mayor Garcetti pledge to cooperate with all Federal Agencies (including ICE),in protecting all Angelinos/US Citizens, from any possible crimes committed by refugees relocated here ........, and from those who seek refuge within Los Angeles illegally (by rescinding Special Order 40)
** So much for another Governmental Pledge of Traffic Reduction via Mass Transit as researchers from USC, announced that while ridership increase along the traffic-chocked corridor, the number of vehicles DID NOT decline. But lets remember that this Sales Tax-financed project provided funding for campaign-contributing giving contractors, sub-contractors and the dreaded non-profits.
** CD 4 City Councilman David Ryu is solidifying his "Outsider Status" via his latest pronouncement that outs the expenditure of money on questionable sidewalk repairs at the Van Nuys Civic Center. According to the Daily News ......., Ryu said the priority should be residential or commercial property sidewalks, rather than city properties, where he said those fixes aren’t immediately needed. “Although there is legal reasoning as to why many sidewalks need to be repaired, we should be more strategic when it comes to repairing the massive backlog of damaged sidewalks,” Ryu said in a statement after the hearing----Scott Johnson.

HOT Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

With termed-out Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Michael Antonovich now officially a candidate for the open 25th State Senate Seat, a new "Uncensored Antonovich Website", is up and running as the main Democratic Candidates, Assemblyman Mike Gatto and Anthony Portantino, prepare for a "Campaign Blueblood Letting" in 2016.
The State Senate Campaign of termed-out Supervisor Michael Antonovich is already garnering opposition attention.
From last evening's KRLA 870 AM's Randy Economy Show, to this Sunday's afternoon cyber-missive via the LA Daily News, the disclosure of termed-out LA County Board of Supervisor Michael Antonovich's bid for the open 25th State Senate District Seat, is already garnering attention ......., including from Democratic Operatives, who want to keep the Seat in the Blue Category.
A new website titled "Uncensored Antonovich" at uncensoredantonovich.com, is up and running, exposing the supposed "Ethical Lapses", "Inappropriate Emails" and "Head-Scratching Decisions" from the Republican Antonovich's twenty-plus years on the Board of Supervisors.
Its head-stratching to say the least, that surrogates of one of the two major Democratic Candidates in this contest, 43rd AD Assemblyman Mike Gatto and former Assemblyman Anthony Portantino, would put resources into the creation of this "uncensored outing of Antonovich ........, or maybe not.

While the voting demographics of the 25th State Senate District favors the Democrats, its not a given that under the State of California's "Open Primary Rules", that both Portantino and Gatto make the top two in a Runoff Election, considering that a strong Republican Candidate (in the form of Antonovich), could coalesce the party's register voters into a formidable block, that takes out either Assemblyman Gatto or Portantino.

Thus, if the political planets align the right way (and monetary resources are allocated) the California Republican Party (and Antonovich) can pull the upset in 2016.

** Continuing on the topic of quick responses, the Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee was the recipient of same-day recognition for its 12-2 Vote to approve the "Mobility 2035 Plan" (which should also garner legal attention in the near future) at its Friday Meeting. That afternoon, KFI 640 AM Afternoon Drive Duo of John and Ken, wasted no time in bestowing its weekly's "Hacks in the Dumpster Award" on the twelve, yes-voting Clowncil Central Committee Members (click link to hear Podcast), with special attention given to CD 11 Clowncilman Mike Bonin ......., and the "Social Justice Champion" (who went to Princeton) CD 14 Clowncilman Jose "Increase Mobility for USC" Huizar.

** Anybody with a spare "Benjamin" can get a inside look of a Former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar's Hollywood Hills Bachelor Pad as the former City Terrace Native hosts a fundraiser for the "2016 Hillary Indicted Legal Fund" tonight. While the "Person of Interest" will not be in attendance, you may have the opportunity to enjoy a ride with a "certain blogging, designated driver (for the right price of course)".

A Scandalous Conduct of Ecological and Cultural Desecration at Historic Hazard Park

A narrative on a tragic repeat of desecrating Boyle Heights Communal and Ecological Heritage, in the interest of "Progress".
The Hazard Park Wetlands

WORDS SHOULD INSPIRE NEIGHBORLY RESPECT BUT ..........:
In 1997, a Monica Guttman wrote the following regarding the historic Henry T. Hazard Park for "USC News", an official publication of  the City of Los Angeles largest employer. The name Hazard Park hardly suggests its bucolic rolling green hills covered with old growth pines and oaks. Zipping by between the trucks that ramble along Soto Street, it’s impossible to see the wading pool and picnic tables, the creek with crawfish, the view of downtown Los Angeles or the tennis courts and baseball diamonds. No wonder, then, that despite the fact that it lies literally across the street from a number of Health Sciences Campus buildings, for most who study or work here, Hazard Park is unfamiliar territory. And that, according to Hazard Park’s recreation director Raymond Huante, is a terrible waste. “People who come in and visit say, ‘This is such a nice place!'” said Huante. “People are just not aware of it.”
A USC-financed new view of Hazard Park.

Former Mayor Antonio Villar abandons Jose Huizar to endorse Gloria Molina for CD 14

In a Los Angeles City Hall and CD 14 Political Earthquake, Former Mayor Antonio Villar abandons his hand-picked CD 14 Political Mijo Jose Huizar in Endorsing Gloria Molina.
Even a troubled ex Failure Mayor Antonio Villar can grow weary of his Political Mijo's Tonto-like behavior which has cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees and settlement costs.
** Blogger's Note: Mayor Sam has confirmed that former CD 14 City Councilman and Mayor Antonio Villar has dumped his longtime Political Mijo Jose Huizar and endorsed Gloria Molina for City Council. The former Two-Term Mayor becomes the second member of the Villar Political Family to not support the current CD 14 Officeholder for a Third Term. In the Fall of 2014, First Cousin and former Assembly Speaker John Perez stated that despite the overtures from the Princeton Graduate during a morning coffee meeting, he could not support or endorse Huizar for re-election at that time. Now with the former Mayor endorsing the pioneering Latina Politician (in addition to US Senator Barbara Boxer and CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo), look for the endorsement floodgates for Molina and Huizar to open, with the biggest one being the possible endorsement of Mayor Eric Garcetti---Scott Johnson.

** LATE EVENING UPDATE VIA THE LA TIMES ON THE THREE ENDORSEMENTS:
"All I can say is, I'm proud of every single one" of the endorsements, Molina said in an interview. "All these endorsements are good, and the reason they're good is that these are people who know me. I've been in the trenches with them from day one."
The endorsements were first reported Thursday by the Mayor Sam political blog. The former mayor did not immediately return a call from The Times. A Boxer representative confirmed the endorsement, saying an announcement had been planned for later this year.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

The Saturday News Cycle Pipe Dream of a possible former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar for Senate Campaign gives way to a California Attorney General Kamala Harris Tuesday Announcement of the same.
The former Girlfriend of ex California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, green lights 2016 Senate Campaign.
** Blogger's Note: Please pardon this Cold-Flu-induced Flashback to Marlon Brando's "On The Waterfront Role", but with California Attorney General Kamala Harris announcing her bid to replace Senator Barbara Boxer in 2016, Brando's famous "I Could Of Been A Contender", is "Ahhh So App" in describing the current state of political being for a certain "Antonio Ramon Villar". While being given props for using the Saturday Media News Window to exhale his late Political Pipe Dream of running for some sort of Public Office, the buzz from his latest narcissist tote of self-delusion, was blunted with today's declaration via the California Progressive Rising Star. The reality for Tony on the local Democratic micro-level (and Hillary Clinton on the National Macro-level), is that the "True Progressive Wing" of the party, is going to make a strong power play (with Elizabeth Warren "NOT" leading the way) for the soul of DNC. Thus, the likes of Tony and his "Strategist MEAT" can only ponder where the once "Latino Tony Blair" went wrong---Scott Johnson in CD 14.
Campaign Checkmate Tony!!
Hey MEAT, about that strategy of Tony grabbing on to Hillary's bottom-heavy, pants suit coattails, to get elected Senator in 2016?

Thursday Briefs on the Failed Supervisor "Home Renovation-Thomas"/Los Angeles Education Machine's "Vile Attacks" against George McKenna

How low and vile will the likes of Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Mark "Home Renovation-Thomas" and his allies within the "Fail Mayor Antonio Villar/former LAUSD School Board President Monica, Gorda Boo Boo, Garcia Education Machine" descend in besmirching the Character of LAUSD Education Icon George McKenna?
Supervisor "Home Renovation-Thomas" knows no shame in supporting attacks against distinguish former LAUSD Educator George McKenna, to benefit his Crony/Educational Neophyte Alex "Ridley-Johnson-Thomas" (to his right above) in the LAUSD School Board District One Special Election.
** Blogger's Note: A disclaimer, we are usually practitioners of bloggin decorum in our musings here at Mayor Sam, but with no apologies to current LA County Board of Supervisor Mark "Home Renovation-Thomas (and his enabling political allies), you are SCUM for your "silence of support" of the vile, deceitful attacks against former distinguish LAUSD Educator, turned LAUSD School Board District One Candidate George McKenna, on behalf of your candidate of choice, Crony/Neophyte Education Advisor Alex "Ridey-Johnson-Thomas". Its so darn evident that the diminutive, home/garage renovator (on the public dime, allegedly), is using the LAUSD District One Special Election to renovate his political fiefdom of control, with the installment of his enabling cronies. Yet, his scheme is engendering a growing backlash and with the recent vile attacks on the character of McKenna, former supporters are in open revolt against jailed SEIU Leader Tyrone Freeman's political buddy. Below, we post links to numerous missives that chronicle the backlash against "Home Renovation-Thomas and his Crony/Neophyte Alex "Ridley-Johnson-Thomas"---Scott Johnson in CD 14

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Tuesday

The backlash continues to grow against CD 1 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo" as longtime Cypress Park Community Activist Art Pulido (wearing cap below) is the latest to take umbrage over alleged Backroom Dealings of Clowncil Member Cedillo and staff.
From ardent campaign supporter to ...........
........., calling out "Broken Deal Cedillo" in writing, over alleged Back Room Deal involving the Cypress Park Community Center and Connected Non-Profit El Centro del Pueblo's Executive Director Sandra Figueroa-Villa.
Its Tuesday and the backlash grows against CD 1 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo".
Longtime Cypress Park based Political Activist Art Pulido is the latest to go public in stating their discontent with "Broken Deal Cedillo" and staff.
Pulido's grievance against Cedillo is centered on the selection of an established Community Based Organization to provide services out of the Cypress Park Community Center. Contrary to the wishes of the community, "Broken Deal Cedillo's staff has offer the use of the facility to the Echo Park Connected Non Profit El Centro del Pueblo, headed up by Mayor Garcetti-appointed Police Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa.
It should be noted that "Broken Deal Cedillo Staffer Conrado Terrazas is a member of the Board of Directors for El Centro del Pueblo which has prompted allegations of Conflict of Interest to be leveled against Terrazas by those in and around the Cypress Park Community.
The fact that Pulido has put his allegations in writing is a dire sign of growing discontent.
** Former Pulido workout buddy, turned past Failure Mayor Antonio "Tony" Villar recently returned from Israel with ex New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in a show of support for the besieged Jewish State. Villar then signed his name to a ghost opinion missive in the Orange County Register that called upon the State Department to lifted the FAA Ban on US Airline flights to Israel
** LA Wave Newspaper Columnist Betty Pleasant launched a "Written Missive of Disclosure" (WMD) that chronicles LA County Board of Supervisor Mark "Home Renovation-Thomas puppet LAUSD District One School Board Candidate Alex Johnson's ceaseless, vile attacks against Lauded Educator and Challenger George McKenna.
** Ron Kaye notes at City Watch that after 30 years within the Los Angeles Political Machine, no one should be surprise how former CD 2/7 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Richard AlarCON met his political demise in a LA Courtroom.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Hump Day

Friends of Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose Huizar's "Political Papi" former Mayor Antonio Villar, show support by donating to the embattled CD 14 Incumbents Rehabilitation/ Re-election Fundraising Kickoff.
"Political Papi and Mijo" want to serve you a Third Term of the "Dear Charro/ Princeton Graduate".
Photo by Donna Evans of the Downtown News.
CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose Huizar can rest assure that his "Political Papi" former Mayor Antonio Villar's friends still have his back ......., for now.
The supposed media organs of record were out in force last evening as the likes of David Zahniser, Rick Orlov, the Downtown News and assorted media trucks (** KCAL/ KCBS get comments from Huizar on video), mass behind the velvet chains, to document the 100-200 Huizar donors at last evening's Fundraising Kickoff, within the Spring Street "Exchange Club".
Comments from those who attended were fleeting and concise but the most telling came from LA County Labor Federation Leader and Mayor Villar's "Comadre" Maria Elena Durazo who stated her "conditional support" for the "Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate". From the Daily News.

For Maria Elena Durazo, executive secretary-treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, it was too early to weigh in. “Of course there are concerns. Any kind of allegations ... of course there are concerns,” she said. “But I’m not in a position right now to say he’s guilty or not guilty. And we know there is a process. And when that process is finished and there are conclusions, we will judge based on that.”
That, coming from Huizar's "Political Papi's Comadre", can be interpretive as "another huge mistake and your political career is done".

** We ponder if "Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street" (aka LA Times) highest-paid Columnist Steve Lopez, would like to replicate his "Day as CD 4 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Tom LaBonge", by assuming the role of Labonge's CD 14 Colleague? Just think of the alleged, "inter-office opportunities" Lopez could partake in, via role playing/ channeling the supposed work place proclivities of the "Dear Charro/ Princeton Graduate".
** In noting KPCC's Alice "The City Maven" Walton's missive on Mayor Eric Garcetti's new appointees to the Harbor Commission via her Facebook Page, Jack Humphreville express his disappointment in the new Mayor's selections, citing their perceived lack of background.
** Mayor Eric Garcetti is talking like "Mayor Veto Garcetti" regarding the City Clowncil Central Committee desires to regulate App-based Paid Ride Sharing. We are sure that thee, all-powerful taxi lobby is pushing the Clowncil Central Committee and Mayor Garcetti into a first veto confrontation  of the Mayor Garcetti Administration.

** Ahhhhh, almost forgot to add that a former "Failure Mayor" has picked up another paid consulting gig with the Edelson Group PR Firm. As with the other three gigs the former City Terrace Native has garner since leaving office on July 1, the details are fleeting, but Larry York may have the Exclusive Inside Details, via the Mayor Sam Facebook Page.

What the story does not reveal, but I know to be fact based on insider information, is that Edelman PR hired him to coordinate the toilet cleaning of their clients, primarily in Central America; this being his greatest area of expertise. It's expected that he should be able to increase the corporate revenues by at least several thousand a year. (that was good tongue in cheek satire).

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Wednesday

Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Strongman Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson is front and center in exerting control over hot button issues at 200 Spring Street.
Will Mayor Eric Garcetti have the fortitude to stand up against "Mini Amin" Wesson's appetite to control the political process at City Hall?

The former diminutive stand up comic, turned political strongman Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson's political stand up act is gearing up for a special Friday performance, live from the Horseshoe at City Hall.
With supporting help from the reigning stand up bully of Los Angeles Politics DWP/ IBEW Leader Brian "Boss D'Arcy", "Mini Amin" Wesson has decreed that all normal Friday business from behind the Horseshoe ( the giveaway of certificates to fellow clowncil members lackeys), will come to a halt, as he and "Boss D'Arcy" choreograph a dialog on the latest fiscal shakedown attempt by "Boss D'Arcy's" IBEW DWP Brothers and Sisters.
In the first major showdown between a reinstalled City Clowncil Strongman (but weaken) "Mini Amin" Wesson and a newly-elected Mayor Garcetti, all eyes will be watching for the first blinks of political weakness from either "Mini Amin" Wesson or Mayor Garcetti.
**  We file this under FYI, a former Los Angeles Mayor formerly known such as the "LAtino Tony Blair" and "Antonio Villaraigosa", is taking his Parke Skelton-crafted life experience on the road as he is set to become a "visiting vato, errrr, fellow" at "Ahhharvard University".
** The newly-installed Ahhhvard Fellow's old Roosevelt friend, now CD 1 City Councilman Gil "The Dream" Cedillo, has been the hot topic in the Eastern Group Publication's chain of local weekly newspapers. First, the insular Lincoln Heights elites such as Vera Padilla and Steve Kasten are crying the blues as Councilman Cedillo moves his Northeast LA office from the Lincoln Heights office property of Kasten, to Highland Park. Second, the normally Cedillo-friendly EGP Editorial Board, implores the new CD 1 City Councilman to clean up the trashed Figueroa Corridor he inherited from former Councilman Ed "Density" Reyes.
** One of the casualties of this blogger's time away from the blogging keyboard, was not sharing the great musings of Los Angeles reigning "Scribe of Wit" Downtown News Editor Jon Regardie. Its with great difficulty ( in keeping a straight face, while LMAO!) as we bring you this excerpt from his list of  "suggestions" for new Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Get a Monkey Butler: A mayor needs someone who will do what he asks and never leak information to the press. Political aides can only guarantee one of those. A monkey butler, however, can handle both. Garcetti should hire a monkey butler who can wear a cute outfit and do things like fetch coffee, grab pens and, should the need arise, leap from the rafters and bite the ear of Councilman Paul Koretz. The monkey butler should be named José Huizar Jr.
Not only would this accomplish important work goals, but a monkey butler would show that Los Angeles has a leader who thinks outside the box. This could also be a pilot program, at least until things go all Planet of the Apes or DWP union boss Brian D’Arcy decides to try to organize them.
Yes, José Huizar Jr. the monkey butler would have to wear a diaper. But he probably wouldn’t be the first one in City Hall to do so.

..... in lieu of the Princeton Graduate, CD 14 City Councilman's latest controversy, we ponder if the "CD 14 Monkey Butler" shares the same "Sexual Proclivities"as the late, great Comedian Richard Pryor's pet squirrel monkeys (** Caution! Linked video contains profane and explicated language)?
