Press Release from the Coalition to Protect Lincoln Heights

For Immediate Release:
Contact Scott Johnson at (323) 213-0149 or outwardmsj66@yahoo.com

Los Angeles CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo continues to ATTACK the supposed NIMBYists Constituents of Lincoln Heights, on the EVE of his strictly-choreographed Presentation of his (and Mayor Eric Garcetti's) Measure HHH-funded Lincoln Heights Parking Lots Housing Developments ........., for mostly "Non-Homeless Clientele".

When: March, 22, 2018, at 6 P.M.
Where: Lincoln Heights Senior Center, 2323 Workman Street, L.A. California, 90031
What: CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo's strictly-choreographed Presentation on proposed Measure HHH-financed, Lincoln Heights Five Parking Lots Housing Development Scheme.

As Los Angeles CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo joined his Council Colleagues in supporting a non-binding resolution/pledge to build a minimum of 222 Units of Homeless Housing in each of the fifteen councilmatic districts, the re-elected officeholder, AGAIN, bemoaned those perishing NIMBYISTS within his boundaries of representation.

From the LA Times: The challenge is "this question of NIMBYism — not in my backyard," Councilman Gil Cedillo said. "Everybody wants this problem solved. Everybody does. But ask if you can do it down the block … and people are up in arms."
http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-homeless-pledge-20180320-story.html

In response to Councilman Cedillo's latest "NIMBYIST UTTERANCES", we ask the renowned "One Bill Gil", to grant the courtesy of answering the following question regarding your (and with Mayor Eric Garcetti's support), proposal to develop FIVE Public Parking Lots along the Lincoln Heights Broadway Business Corridor, into mostly, "Non Homeless Housing".
http://www.citywatchla.com/index.php/los-angeles/13042-exposed-mayor-and-la-council-redirecting-funds-you-approved-for-the-homeless-and-the-silence-is-deafening

Simply, will you PLEDGE to choreograph the structure of tomorrow's Meeting at the Lincoln Heights Senior Center, to make paramount, the engagement of your Constituents, in a Question & Answer Dialog .........., as requested by the Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council, the Coalition to Protect Lincoln Heights and many Stakeholders?

How you respond to this Constituent Courtesy, will predicate the productivity of tomorrow's gathering (unless already pre-determine via Backroom Deals at City Hall).

The Coalition to Protect Lincoln Heights endeavors to Act as a Fair, Honest Voice and Respects All Viewpoints in the Interest of Preserving the Greater Lincoln Heights Community.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: Councilman Cedillo's Bridewell Armory Emergency Shelter Scam

In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose the SCAM that was CD 1 City Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo's" (and Council-approved) Bridewell Armory Winter Emergency Shelter Motion, as a potentially, strong series of Storms targets Southern California ........, with adverse impacts on Northeast LA's Homeless (and General) Population.
Another Broken Deal Cedillo Episode, with potentially adverse Public Safety connotations..
The still-shuddered CD-14 Bridewell Armory.
** Blogger's Notes: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose the SCAM that was the supposed, CD 1 City Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo's" approved Motion that would have directed the City of Los Angeles Recreation & Parks Department (along with other pertinent city agencies) to make the CD-14-located Bridewell Armory available as an Emergency Winter Shelter. As the photos below document, the longtime shuddered (with supposed plans to become a Non-Profit Arts Center), does not look ready (as directed) for any type (including Emergency) usage ........., with a POTENT Winter Storm taking aim at Southern California on Friday. The incoming storm is bound to impact all segments of the populations, especially the Homeless who live near the Northeast LA Arroyo Seco Waterway, which will swell full of runoff from the saturated San Gabriel Mountains. Its inexcusable (and politically contemptible if a certain CD-14 Officeholder is obstructing, again) that a City Council-approved Motion/Directive (with serious Public Safety ramifications) has not been implemented .........., and for what reasons? That is the responsibility of the Motion's "Author (aka. Broken Deal Cedillo) to explain to discerning/pending voters----Scott Johnson.

Auditing the Politically-connected Misadventures (including time servicing the Calderons) of an Under-qualified Gil Cedillo Jr.

As a stinging Audit of the Central Basin Water District discloses the "Violation of Hiring Protocols" regarding the selection and compensation of former "Business Development Manager" Gil Cedillo Jr., speculation grows regarding the links between Papi and Mijo Cedillo, to the alleged, Political Corruption of the Calderon Political Family in Southeast Los Angeles County.
"Papi One Bill and Mijo Gil Cedillo Jr."

** Blogger's Note: For the longtime, discerning observers of Southeast Los Angeles County Politics, the names of the cast of characters, formerly associated with the Central Basin Water District, are synonymous with "Culture of Corruption" that has a pending date with "Federal Justice" come next Spring.

A "David (Highland Park Community) vs Goliath (McCormick, Barron and Salazar Developer)" Court Victory

** Blogger's Note: Former Mayor Sam Blogger Solomon "Antonio Watch" Wolfson (who we hope is well), wrote the following below in 2008, about the proposed "Highland Park Transit Village"
A few miles down the Arroyo, the Highland Park Transit Village is coming. A four story, multi-block, all-but-certainty, residents are told. Minor details yet to be worked out include: a) what it will look like, b) whether or not it will include retail, and c) whether or not it will supplant all existing public parking spacesand provide adequate parking for the new residential units. Oh—and, what will become of the “market-priced” units when the market fails to deliver. One thing is certain: 75% “affordable” means developers Kevin McCormack, Richard Baron, and Tony Salazar will sleep soundly—far from Avenue 56 and Figueroa.
In late 2015, despite the efforts of current CD 1 City Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", his predecessor Ed "Density" Reyes, along with the then local Southwest Society Insiders Cabal, featuring the likes of Carol Jacquez, Pat Griffin and Jenny Krusoe, the community altering (adversely according to some) trio of McCormack, Barron and Salazar, will be mulling the legal costs (both past and future), as they ponder their "Goliath Legal Beatdown" by the "David-like Friends of Highland Park".
The connected Developer, which is synonymous for the Density Housing, espoused by the likes of former CD 1 City Councilman Ed Reyes and CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar, will likely join with the City of Los Angeles, in appealing the decision, that would force them to restart the approval process (which includes a new EIR).
In lieu of a potential appeal to the California Supreme Court, the victorious "Friends of Highland Park" and its Legal Counsel Dean Walraff, will host a 2 P.M. Press Conference today (view Press Release below), which include details on the court decision's impact on the Highland Park Community and city wide-----Scott Johnson.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: Councilman Cedillo against Privately-financed Homeless Shelter in Highland Park Church

As the nights become chilly and a El Nino-influenced Winter nears, Mayor Sam has learned that CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo is opposing a Faith-Based Group-financed Homeless Shelter at the All Saints Church, located at Avenue 56 and Monte Vista Way in Highland Park.
** Blogger's Note: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we have learned that a Faith Based Group-financed 30 Bed Homeless Shelter at the Highland Park All Saints Church (locate at Avenue 56 and Monte Vista) is facing opposition from CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo. Zoning issues are the alleged reason for the Councilman's opposition. If true, Cedillo's would contradict recent Mayor Eric Garcetti and City Council pronouncements which advocate for decisive action in combating LA's growing Homeless Issues. According to our source, the 30 Bed Shelter, which is being funded via a grant from a West LA Faith Base Group, is set open at 4 PM today. The timing of the opening coincides with growing concerns about the proliferation of Homeless Encampments within Flood Control Washes across the city. In recent months, LAPD and various city department have undertaken sweeps along the Arroyo Seco to deal with this situation. Considering that this response from the Faith Based Community is being privately-financed, the actions of the CD 1 City Councilman merit further vetting----Scott Johnson.

HOT Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

With NO apologies to LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and Captain Jeffery Bert, the attempted prosecution of local Journalist (and noted LAPD observer) Jasmyne Cannick for "Failure to Disperse", has been Dismissed by the City Attorney.
Jasmyne Cannick is all smiles in exposing LAPD Chief Charlie Beck's alleged, Act of Retaliation against her, now Dismissed.
** Note to former LAPD Northeast Division Captain Jeffery Bert, next time you are delegated the task of overseeing the "Dispersing of a Unlawful Assembly", the following of proper documentation protocols should be paramount, in wake of the Dismissal of Failure to Disperse Charges against Journalist Jasmyne Cannick. The fact that the leadership-challenged Captain Bert would forget a simple formality of policy (and the role it played in the attempted retaliation of Cannick) is the latest example of the Dysfunction within the Command Administration of Chief Charlie Beck (which Cannick has done a great job in documenting via her blog), and is surely going to increase the number of those who will call upon Mayor Eric Garcetti and the City Council to replace the current Chief.
$12,000 in choices to recycle Broken Deal Cedillo's Pledges.
** From Facebook Page of "Figueroa for All", we bring the "Multi-cultural Celebration (nice way of saying Rent a Mob)" for CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo's $4,000 Solar Trash Containers. For us longtime, neighboring CD 14 observers, we cannot help ourselves in flashing back to those lucrative times for the likes of "Broken Deal Cedillo" Crony Gabriel Buelna's (former?) business partner Gustavo Valdivia. Valdivia's Grande Vista Associates benefited from No-bid Contracts that included billing the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) $2,500 to install a toilet. BTW  the friends of BDC at MAPA have a fine to pay .....,In the Matter of Mexican American Political Association-PAC to Support Gil Cedillo for L.A. Council 2013; FPPC No. 15/486. Staff: Senior Commission Counsel Bridgette Castillo. Mexican American Political Association-PAC to Support Gil Cedillo for L.A. Council 2013 failed to pay the 2013 $50.00 annual fee to the Secretary of State’s Office, in violation of Government Code Section 84101.5. Total Proposed Penalty: $200.
AHHHHH!! $200 less for the Happy Hour Fun(d).
** With another week of Happy Hours upon us, we can understand the look of consternation above via former CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar Chief of Staff Ana Cubas. In 2013, with the "blessing" of her former Boss, Cubas ran unsuccessfully for City Council via CD 9 ........, and according to the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), she has reports overdue, necessitating a $200 Fine. In the Matter of Ana Cubas for Los Angeles City Council District 9 2013; FPPC No. 15/708. Staff: Commission Counsel Michael W. Hamilton. Ana Cubas for Los Angeles City Council District 9 2013 failed to pay the 2013 $50.00 annual fee to the Secretary of State’s Office, in violation of Government Code Section 84101.5. Total Proposed Penalty: $200.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: LAPD Police Commissioner's Connected Non-Profit New GRYD Contract Raises Serious Conflict of Interest Issues

Los Angeles Police Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa's "Connected Non-Profit, El Centro del Pueblo" new Northeast LA Zone GRYD Prevention Contract ($800,000) raises serious Conflict of Interest Issues involving the role of CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo's staff role in the selection process.
LAPD Commissioner (and ardent Mayor Garcetti supporter) Sandra Figueroa-Villa, is all smiles over new Northeast LA GYRD Contract.
** Blogger's Note: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose potential, serious Conflict of Interest Issues involving the 2015/2016 Fiscal Year, Northeast LA Gang Reduction, Youth Development (GRYD) Prevention Contract ($800,000), awarded to the Echo Park "Connected Non-Profit, El Centro del Pueblo", which is directed by LAPD Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa. As previously reported here at Mayor Sam, protesting Cypress Park Stakeholders led by Art Pulido (who supported CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar for re-election), raised issues regarding El Centro del Pueblo's fitness to provide needed community services and the refusal of CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo to meet with them about the selection process for organizations operating in the historic Cypress Park Community Center. In reviewing the El Centro del Pueblo Website, its shows that current Councilman Cedillo District Director Conrado Terrazaz, is listed as "The President of the Board of Directors". Considering that El Centro del Pueblo beat out the Children's Hospital Group (which appealed the decision, but was denied) that previously held the contract, discerning observers can surmise that the Office of Councilman Cedillo played a decisive role in helping the ally of Mayor Eric Garcetti, secure the contract (especially when records show that Figueroa-Villa and Councilman Cedillo had dinner together). Below, we have posted the listings of the 2015/2016 Fiscal Year GRYD Prevention and Intervention Contracts as outlined in the Mayor Garcetti-controlled Department's Budget---Scott Johnson.

Happy Bloggin Thanksgiving!!

As the likes of Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee Members Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", the "Tonto Huevon (with Papi Tony Villar)", "Average Joe" Buscaino and "Pandering Paul" Krekorian partake in Thankful Festivities, we simply want to wish our cyber audience a BLESSED THANKSGIVING
Gobble, Gobble Dammit!!
Political Papi Tony Villar and Mijo Jose "Tonto Huevon" Huizar (with Wife Richelle and daughters), serving the masses at the Los Angeles Mission. ** BTW, as the "Tonto Huevon" touts his giveaway of 1,500 Turkeys, we ponder if he rehired his "Turkey Giveaway Consultant" (paid $27,000 plus) to target the "appropriate voter recipients"?

Another "Broken Deal Cedillo Moment" as Clowncilman Gil announces himself the 2014 El Grito MC

Inquiring minds want to know why embattled CD 14 City Clowncilman Jose Huizar is not the Lead Host of the 2014 Edition of El Grito??
CD 14 City Clowncilman Jose Huizar can only frown as his diluted Political Capital at City Hall enables CD 1 City Clowncilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo" to happily usurp him as this year's MC of El Grito.
Blogger's Note: Political Choices in life have consenquences, just ask CD 14 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Bad Boy Jose Huizar. As a judge was hearing arguments yesterday in Federal Court pertaining to the backroom-crafted, racially-motivated, now litigious 2012 Redistricting Controversy, another backroom-crafted move was made public that undercuts the supposed "Princeton Graduate's" gains from the 2012 process. Judging from the Media Advisory below, Mayor Eric Garcetti, with the help of CD City Clowncilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", have made a end around in usurping the embattled Clowncilman's control of Downtown turf, by bumping him from lead host of this year's El Grito Festivities. Can we call this political payback for mouthing off on the successful Jay-Z Concert at Grand Park? Si Senor---Scott Johnson.

A F-ing TGIF Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine

Its a little before eight in the morning on a Friday and what does the Chief of Staff (Ana Guerrero) for the Mayor of the nation's Second Largest City post on Facebook? ........
¡Viva Garcetti Cabrones! ¿Que chingado is the big deal?
Hmmm, maybe that the Mayor Garcetti Administration wasted a whole week news cycle in reacting to a failure in F-ing choreographing an "Explicit Political Persona Makeover"?
Its Friday and someone is in seriously need of a power puff.
While the Brain Trust of the Mayor Garcetti Administration can take credit for stimulating a lively debate on the usage of vulgarity in redefining a Square Peg Political Persona (with the likes of Daily News Columnist/KABC Talk Radio Host Doug McIntyre and Downtown News Editor Jon Regardie musing contrary positions on the Rhodes Scholar's choreographed F-bomb), the fact that the "Chief of Puff" needs to go "Chingado" in an attempt to regain message control over a misguided exercise in political persona makeover, is a sure sign that someone needs to puff away this wasted political week.
** As opening arguments get underway in the Voter Fraud Trial of former Mr. and Mrs. CD 2/7 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Richard "The Zorro Marxist" AlarCON, Prosecutors are mulling over the thought of calling upon former CD 2 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Wendy "The Boss D'Arcy Rizzo Call Greuel" to testify about discussions between her and AlarCON, in changing the boundary lines, demarking CD 2 and 7, so that the AlarCON's CD 2 Sun Valley home would be place in CD 7.
** Close AlarCON friend CD 1 City Clowncil Central Committee Member Gil "Broken Deal" Cedillo, is facing a growing backlash over supposedly reneging on supporting segregated bike only lanes along Figueroa in Highland Park. Local Political Activists from the river bank in Lincoln Heights, to the hilltops of Mt. Washington are sharing stories on numerous broken promises/deals with Cedillo and staff.
** We ponder how City Attorney (and co-author in the Assembly, of the deadly AB-109 Prison Realignment Debacle), will respond to a Federal Judge striking down the law which made it illegal to live in your car within the City of Los Angeles. From Sylmar to the streets of Venice, the homeless, including thousands of supposed "Low Level, Non-Violent, Non-Revocable Parolees, will be able to pick the curbside of choice in their vehicle, and call it home.
Your thoughts ..............
