Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Wednesday
Do the CD 14 Political Papi and Mijo Duo of former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar and current City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose "The Tonto Huevon" Huizar deserve another Political Tomorrow?
Do CD 14, City of LA and California voters want a continuation of the ethically-challenged Pay to Play Politics personified by the "Political Papi and Mijo Duo" of former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar and the self-noting Princeton Graduate?
There are no such thing as coincident in today's choreographed political stage craft.
Take for example the photo above from Thanksgiving as both CD 14 "Political Papi", former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar and his "Mijo", embattled City Clowncil Central Committee Member Jose "The Tonto Huevon" Huizar (with wife Richelle and daughters), make their annual appearance behind the chow line at the Los Angeles Mission's Feast for the Needy.
At first glance, what looks to be a simple exercise in role playing a happy family coming together in giving back to the less fortunate, is in reality a choreographed operation in political self-preservation.
For "Papi Villar" and his "Tonto Huevon Mijo", the dawn of 2015 is a pivotal time to reverse the political misadventures of 2014 (especially for Huizar). The priority for both is insuring a Fourth Term for the "Papi and Mijo Political Duo's Machine" Thus, enabling Papi Villar (with the enabling of his "Tonto Huevon Mijo") to start filling his campaign coffers with Downtown LA money for a surely expensive 2018 Governor Campaign.
The question for the rest of CD 14, east of the LA River, is whether they can continuing afford the rising cost of living within the fiefdom of the Papi Villar/Tonto Huevon Mijo's Machine and validate (or not). a state-wide future for its brand of Pay to Play Politics?
** Mayor Eric Garcetti is starting the first full political week of 2015 in touting the growing number of flyers utilizing the increased capacity of LAX to grow tourism revenue. What many discerning political observers are waiting for is his endorsements of candidates in the upcoming March Elections.
** The following is a sample of the power of Social Media in expediting information on contract opportunities within the City of Los Angeles via CD 15 City Councilman Joe Buscaino's Planning Director (and former CD 9 City Council Candidate David Roberts). Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified Urban Real Estate Advisory Firms to Evaluate the Feasibility of Redeveloping 20 acre, 478-unit Rancho San Pedro housing site in San Pedro to be released on Tuesday, January 6th
** Former CD 9 City Councilwoman and Mayoral Candidate Jan Perry is the subject of positive press for her work in matching veterans with gainful employment within the City of Los Angeles, as the new GM of the replacement agency for CRA.
Lastly .........., this blogger stands with our French brethren who were murder today for merely engaging in the absolute Right of Free Expression (with an edge). Our prayers and thoughts are with the families of the victims.
