Video and Photos from Ya Basta Mayoral Candidate Forum

** Blogger's Note: Below are the two videos and photos from the Ya Basta Mayoral Candidate Forum held last Thursday, August 16, at the historic Casa de Mexicano in Boyle Heights. As previously reported, mayoral candidates City Councilwoman Jan Perry, former KRLA Talk Show Host Kevin James and former Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Staffer Emanuel Pleitez attended, along with one other fringed candidate. Making a surprise appearance was City Attorney Carmen Trutanich, who took out papers late last week to run for a second term. Mayor Sam has learned that respected Political Consultant Rick Taylor has signed on to lead "Team Nuch's" efforts for re-election. One local political observer commented that whoever took the job of consulting Nuch's efforts for a second term, was taking on two jobs, running a campaign and rehabilitating the image of a tainted politico---Scott Johnson.

Carmen Trutanich needs to get another job. He has done absolutely nothing about the City Hall corruption! He even said "My job is to protect the City and it's members." Ok so what the hell do are taxes pay for Carmen? Your salary to do your job!

Constituents are fed up with the CORRUPTION!!!

CLARTS FUND IS ONE? Do you plan to allow Councilman Huizar to continue with this one?

City HALL DISTRICT ATTORNEY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR preventing LAW SUITE for the CITY AND THE PEOPLE'S MONEY. So I would think if any constituant has a valid complaint about an elected official, or city employee, or just questionable ordinance, the city attoney should try to solve those issues and correct the process if need too, making sure they do not scalate to suing the City. However, so many times you call city Attorney, they tell you we cannot help you because we represent the city. Well, my questions is who is the city, the people that work there, the elected representatives, or the people that pay the taxes? The same with Department of Neighborhood Empowerment, a member of the board of NC cannot submit a grievance against their own NC, where is the check and balance?
A good joke, there was a grievance file against BHNC for not complying with the Brown Act on posting meeting agendas 72 hrs prior to the meeting. Gracey Lu, answered, they need to go to the state organizations that oversees the Brown Act. How stupid is that, why is that DONE will not take the complaint and review it, correct the NC that is not following the ordinance, actually we all knew that even though the person said Brown Act, it was really a violation of their By-laws and DONE. Now why would a stakeholder have to go to the Brown Act legislative to complaint about their NC violation, what the heck is DONE there for. getting paid. There is a culture of doing nothing about complaints, and they get away with it, until enough people complaint and find an attorney to take the city to court. LAUSD is doing the same thing, that is why our government is broke.
