Someone Wanted Zuma Dogg To Post Another Thread About Richard Alatorre

Perhaps someone thinks they can squelch the squeeky wheels of Zuma Dogg with intimidating comment posts like these...

Anonymous said...Speaking of burning, Alatorre is doing a slow burn about the guy who outed him. He's been asking people about who "Zuma Dogg" is and how to find him. Is the van rigged with a car alarm? Go back and find out about his first campaign against a guy named Bill Brophy whose house was raked by drive-by shooters just before the special election. November 03, 2007 6:02 AM

Much to my dismay, it doesn't work that way...check my patterns. Comments like those, tend to cause me to post new threads like these:

RICHARD ALATORRE:
Comments by Mayor Sam readers

First of all, to read more about Richard Alatorre -- Puppetonio Viagraosa's "brain" and affordable housing think tank (how to profit off of non-profit affordable housing) click here for Mayor Sam's Blog "Alatorre Edition"

Comments:

* Why didn't the LAzy Times dig deeper and see his ties with Estrada Courts and Housing Authority corruption?? It was reported Alatorre has spoken to hundreds of developers and wasn't registered as a lobbyist. Victor Griego has close ties to Huizar and is working the demolotion of Wyvenwood Apts.

* Victor Griego has close ties to Huizar and is working the demolotion of Wyvenwood Apts. acting like a PR consultant.

* Huizar had to select someone who had Villa and Alatorre and Miami connections. Remember Wyvenwood Apts will make a LOT OF MONEY FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE, but the poor peple will get screwed. Huizar never cared where the tenants have to go and Griego doesnt care either.

* Alatorre is registered as having only one client, yet he has been representing maybe a dozen or more others? So, what does the Ethics Commission do now?????

* Alatorre is clearly trying to diffuse the controversy by registering an innocuous client. He still has a bunch that he hasn't registered yet.
If he makes calls on their behalf, he'll have to register them, so everyone should just look out for him in any deal and report it here.

* As a registered lobbyist he can no longer give donations to city elections.

* Griego was Alatorre's hand-picked candidate to succeed him at City Council. They brought him in (carpetbagged) from South Pasadena and got him a lot of money and a lot of endorsements. Griego then lost to Nick Pacheco and went back to So. Pas., to his political consulting business. Now, when Alatorre gets a client, it would appear that Griego also often gets a "gig" out of it as well.

* I wonder if Alatorre is getting a cut from his sister's salary who works for Antonio. What is her job anyway?

* WHAT ABOUT THAT HOUSING AUTHORITY BID RIGGING SCHEME THAT HE WAS OR IS INVOLVED IN, THIS IS MORE THAN JUST A REGISTRATION ISSUE.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS WELCOMED.

Zuma Dogg Recaps Top Issues on Mayor Sam In Halloween Costume (Big Topic : Alatorre LA Times Article)

WOW: LA TIMES article on Richard Alatorre (and blogged about here on Mayor Sam's blog) really has people talking. On the realest, dough! People in Greig Smith's district are upset because Alatorre is lobbying for Las Lomas (that somehow fell into Alarcon's district) -- and the traffic and infrastructure problems don't stop at district boundaries. Plus, in CD 14 they heard Alatorre is lobbying for a Charter school in a Boyle Heights park. And we've read about Alatorre on this blog regarding his non-profit and affordable housing strategies that he "consults" Mayor Villaraigosa on. And this guy isn't registered as a lobbyist. So pirate, or not...the community is NOT happy with Richard Alatorre's involvement in the community as an unregistered lobbyist. And when I say "lobbyist", I'm using the term loosely.

MORE TO COME: See thread below on this blog -- including link to LA TIMES article.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: The State Treasurer would like to remind you that you can have the inside track on Bond investing for things like infrastructure that will make the City great in 30 years. (Try not to laugh...this guy is serious...)

From BuyCaliforniaBonds.com

Welcome. Thank you for visiting Buy California Bonds.

California bonds finance investments in our schools, roads, housing, parks, levees and other crucial infrastructure projects. They also finance research and development of stem cell therapies that could produce cures for diseases which ravage lives and families.

As Treasurer, I am responsible for managing all of the State’s bond sales. I want to make it easy for individuals to make these investments – and pay the same price as large, institutional investors. This website will show you how to buy infrastructure and stem cell bonds, as well as shorter-term bonds that help the State maintain its cash flow.

The bulk of these bonds will help finance infrastructure projects. California voters have approved the issuance of more than $65 billion of bonds to improve and build new schools, roads, housing, parks and levees. Over the next few years, the State will be selling these bonds to raise the money to build these projects. By investing in these bonds, you will help turn the projects you approved at the polls into reality – adding to our quality of life and the vibrancy of our economy.

ZD feels the City and State is doing a FANTASTIC JOB with the money -- and are a sound financial investment. (If you need a huge tax write-off.)

Maybe Richard Alatorre Should Run For Mayor...He's Running The City Anyway for Mayor Puppetonio Viagraosa

Here's an insightful comment regarding Mayor Puppetonio's mentor; Robin Kramer's former boss and mentor; affordable housing strategist extrodinare (see ZD's LAANE stories); the man you have to hire if you want a Charter School in a Park; or get 5000 homes built in an area that shouldn't be zoned for 500; and the person who recently triggered an LA Times article detailing all the shadiness -- Richard Alatorre. But sometimes, nothing says it like a Mayor Sam comment:

ZD's Affordable Housing Mentor said...

Facts are facts......

Alatorre's sister has a position in Antonio's staff. Just like before, Alatorre is hiding behind his sister's skirt.

Everyone in politics knows that Antonio won't take a dump without consulting with Alatorre. The after he takes the dump he goes to Parke Skelton to make it smell nice.

Alatorre is so far up Antonio's butt even the L.A. Times had to report on this.

Check your facts or stop drinking the kool-aid, this mayor is a lying sack.

Buy Zuma Dogg's Silence

If it's CD14, you know it's fun. The names change but the games stay the same. LA's wackiest Clowncil District continues on providing the same entertainment to the city it always has, back to the days of Richard Alatorre, to Arthur Snyder and perhaps even all the way back to Issac Colton Ash.

The latest fun surrounds accusations against current Councilman Jose Huizar who is seeking re-election, by his former staffer turned election opponent, Alvin Parra. The accusations, made in both a local publication and a flyer that was distributed which include claims that Huizar refused to act on staff recommendations to take action on a convicted child molestor in the District, among other claims of, as Zuma would say, "shadiness and corruption." Central to the view of many in Huizar's District - and claims from anonymous staff members - the Councilman is generally dis-engaged from his constituents and allegedly even went as far to ask his staff that he not meet with consituents other than high level local VIPs.

The information in the flyer and article were apparently so alarming to Huizar's Chief of Staff, Joe Avila, Zuma Dogg claims Avila called him Saturday evening to discuss and rebut the charges.

In the meantime, the usual cutting and pasting and dum dum blogging continued in the comments section of ZD's post and the Doggster went to battle with a good portion of the dum dums.

Then the following comment showed up:
Zuma dog (sic) be very very careful. You are playing in the big leagues and those of us who know when you go against Antonio and his boys they come down very hard on you. You won't see it coming but then all of a sudden BAM!!! They know you don't have a job so it won't surprise me if they try to pay you off to keep quiet. But know that there are some out there waiting for you to slip up. You are treading in dangerous waters. Don't be naive. Listen to the Capt. Everything on this has been said so if I were you I would move away from it.
Since Zuma Dogg doesn't get paid for his role as a citizen watchdog and needs money, we thought we better take up any offer to pay ZD off to be quiet. And this old, dead Republican mayor who spends quite a bit of his precious time blogging with hardly any recompense is looking to share in any funds earned from selling Zuma's silence.

To better facilitate this once in a lifetime transaction, we are now selling Zuma Dogg's silence on Ebay. The auction will only last for the next week (or before Ebay pulls it) but hey this is capitalism at it's finest.

Hey Villaraigosa...Are You Willing To Go On Record And Dispute Zuma Dogg's Concern That You Are Going To Create A New "City Income Tax"

Look to the past, to see the future. Especially when the past and present includes Villaraza "consultant" Richard Alatorre.

Zuma Dogg was pondering on some very excellent chronic...if the City is $300 million short on this year's budget...where is the money for the “to be announced” salary increases for the City unions? (And all the other problems a $300 million budget "DOH" will cause.)

So ZD had to dig up an old document from 1993 someone sent me, which cites a proposal for a payroll tax on all people who work in the City of Los Angeles. It doesn't specify taxing just City employees, but EVERYONE who work within the city limits. This would probably include Federal, State, City, and County employees. It would also include all employees working for companies in the private sector (such as banking, service industries, fast food, construction, education, small employers, et al).

In '93, City Council approved the tax, but it was dropped due to intense negative constituent reaction.

Villaraza and the present Shitty Council are not the first to re-name taxes as “fees”. This “name change” was actually thought of in '93, while Council was considering a city income tax. The ‘93 Council was thinking of renaming the city income tax as an "occupational license fee." (LOL!) According to the document I am referring to, the same idea for a city income tax had been considered before by the City Councils of 1983 and 1991.

But now, we have a bunch of no-scruples, corrupt, organized-crime-like politicians running the City. (See Villaraigosa, Alatorre, Delgadilldo, City Council, et al) – and they don’t give a F*CK.

CURRENT LA CITY STRATEGY: Take as much money out of the city coffers as possible until it’s all about to cave in like an “Enron House of Cards” – then just think of every and any tax, fee, hike, bond – for any and everything to help make up the difference. Who cares about tomorrow…you’ll be on to the next elected position, and it will be too late.

CITIZENS’ ALERT!!! CITIZENS’ ALERT!!! THIS IS NOT A TEST!!! THIS IS NOT A TEST!!!

We all know about the DWP rate increase coming down the pike. (Which is necessary because they are grossly inefficient – and has a HUGE illegal payment/money transfer to make to the City of Los Angeles.)

BUT THAT IS NOT ENOUGH: $300 million short, is $300 million short…so let’s look to the past, for the future…

A payroll tax on all people who work in the City of Los Angeles was among the suggestions discussed in ‘93 at a meeting of the City Council's Ad Hoc Committee on the Budget Crisis they were experiencing at the time.

"How many more libraries do we have to close? How many more parks, before we go after what none of us wants to talk about -- police, fire and refuse?" said (then) Councilmember Richard Alatorre, who later proposed the committee consider a "gross receipts" payroll tax to balance the budget. [How about just making one, big huge tax called a "shakedown tax"...I mean "fee".]

But a city "income tax" would be illegal, so let’s call it an "occupational license fee". (Which experts say has essentially the same effect.) It would tax…I mean “not tax”, but fee (to death) the income of the individual employee.

The idea has been discussed in Los Angeles before – but was dropped because of intense negative constituent reaction.

Previously, the City came to it’s senses and realized this (not-a-tax) “fee” would drive business out of Los Angeles, California, and it would be tough to attract/recruit employees from competing cities. (What does Villaraigosa and his crew care about that? That’ll be the next guy’s problem. Meanwhile, he’ll have already deposited and cashed all the checks and received all the gifts. Maybe he can take all his shady riches and move to Mexico! Judging by the way he runs THIS City…he must LOVE Mexico! (See “Illegal Vending” spreading all over the damn City!)

(Then) Committee Chairman Zev Yaroslavsky urged committee members to look hard at major city staff cuts, saying "the longer we wait, the more Draconian the measures will be."

"Cuts have been made. We have less employees. That is real," countered then Councilmember (and current Villaraza “consultant” and Mayoral thinker, since the mayor can’t) Richard Alatorre.

"It's real, but it's not enough," Yaroslavsky shot back.

The committee even consider whether to close down all or part of the Community Redevelopment Agency, returning its tax increment to the general tax rolls, to be divided among the city, the county and local schools. [ZUMA DOGG SAYS THAT’S THE BEST IDEA HE HAS EVER HEARD! Of course they didn’t do it.]

COMING NEXT: Suggestions on how to close the budget deficit. (Besides physically dragging the Mayor out of city hall and dumping him on the other side of the border.)

HERE'S A PREVIEW: NO MORE SPECIAL EVENT FEE WAIVERS! NO MORE SPECIAL EVENT FEE WAIVERS! NO MORE SPECIAL EVENT FEE WAIVERS!

Alatorre registers as lobbyist after outing by "ZUMA", ... and LA Times

Day after Halloween, and one Richard Alatorre has removed the facade of "CONCERNED CITIZEN" to register as a lobbyist with the City Ethics Commission.

Alatorre has been seen everywhere shilling on the behalf of a diverse group of friends, err, clients. In El Sereno, it is a certain "CHARTER MADRASA". Alatorre also does Unions. Out of town, Alatorre and friend Victor Griego shill for the City of Vernon on a propose Power Plant.

Yet, when he file his paper work with the city, he listed only a corporation working to build affordable housing. Just maybe "Friends of Antonio" are held to a lower standard ??

Alatorre is a institution in Latino Politics. Yet he has become the symbol of a "OLD BOYS MACHINE" that has reinvented itself under the new generation of latino leaders such as Antonio Villaraigosa, Fabian Nunez, and others.

Friend of Alatorre, Villar, Huizar faces Eviction from CalTrans Property

He went before the City Council and had choice words for Zuma Dogg. His CD 14 connections include Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Richard Alatorre and of course the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" among others. A attorney by day he sleeps in state-owned housing for a nominal rent, or should we say "did"?

A couple on months back we posted a rumor connected to the person above,

***........and this from a source in CD 14. A official from CalTrans who oversees State owned properties in El Sereno, South Pasadena, and Pasadena, quickly departed a meeting when informed that an "certain person" was invited. Apparently threats has been made against this official by a person with interest in CalTrans properties.

Now it has been learned that Caltran Tenants Association Rep. Don Jones faces eviction from his Caltrans residence.

Whether this is related to the above incident is still murky at this time, but his past actions reveals a confrontational persona, and a connected one at that.

Posters in the past have made the connection to Jones and the "cast of characters" that make up the LA 32 Neighborhood Council, with a good number of them benefiting from their access to CalTrans porperties that lie along the 710 right a way in El Sereno, South Pasadena, and Pasadena.

More to follow.............

What journalistic secrets lurk in the shadows on Spring Street

What secrets are hidden under the "Journalistic Carpet" at the Los Angeles Times ??

If one was listening to the final hour of yesterday's "John and Ken Show". They were commenting on the "Buzz" from inside the "Beltway". That being Washington D.C. for the sake of disclosure. Speculation is that the "OLD GREY HAG ON SPRING STREET" is sitting on a "explosive" story. This alleged story revolves around the sex life of one of the "major candidates" for president.

Holding stories for the sake of bias and timing is nothing new to the editors at the west coast version of the "OLD GREY LADY". Plus on the timing side, if they can provide a " timely hit" on a member of the "enemy list", in the Editorial/News Room ? Then so much for objectivity. Remember a certain recall election ??, Nick Pacheco ? George Bush ? James Hahn ? Sheriff Corona ? Iraq ? But never a story on "80 Fake Neighborhood Watches" ?

It is speculation such as this. That inspired the growth of a "bloggin cottage industry" of discerning observers of all things, Los Angeles Times. Patterico and Hugh Hewitt are two that come to mind. Mind you that the Times is a "Johnny come lately" to the "Universe of Blogs". One of their own has made the "Jump" in retirement. Kevin Roderick and his "Observing West L.A. Life and his Times", almost on a daily basis, posted tales in "Times Think". His posts highlight the "unique journalistic culture" that is cut off from the realities of Los Angeles and rest of the world.

It is this unique journalistic culture that spawns "old media" scribes such as Tim Rutten. One can see his "love" for "new media". Witness Rutten's past rants against blogs and their roles in breaking stories about the Mayor's affair. Last week in his "Regarding Media" column, Rutten took "Bloggin Giant", Matt Drudge to task for posting documents on a controversial New Republic story, centered around falsehoods written by a U.S. Army soldier. It was both Hugh Hewitt and Patterico who pointed out falsehoods in Rutten's column, nothing new for the bias that is "KIM IL RUTTEN", the "Dear Leader" of "old media".

One can speculate that the unique journalistic culture at the Times has changed reporter David Zahniser. Some have opined that his "INVESTIGATED CONJONES" have been placed in a "TESTICLE LOCK BOX OF EDITING" by the "highers to be". His recent story on Richard Alatorre, coming on the back of Zuma Dogg's postings, kicked off rampant speculations to that effect. Remember, this the same Zahniser who broke the Miguel Contreras story. Will he match that in his new gig at the Times ?

That said, the answer to the original premise, lies in the Times standing within the city and "ELITE OLD MEDIA". The Times abdicated its role as a neutral observer long ago when Otis Chandler steered them leftward. Thus cementing the Times role as a left of center agenda, P.R. organ. Now its just a matter of what monkey is turning the handle. But is anyone still listening ? Then who will "post" the truth ? Hmm....

Allan Jackson for District Attorney

No, not THAT Alan Jackson.

The race to be Los Angeles County's District Attorney has been an interesting and wild one for sure. Writing at CityWatch, our friend Joseph Mailander accurately calls this race - with Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in no need of California's primary delegates - probably the key race drawing Los Angeles County voters to the polls next Tuesday.

Open takes for Tuesday

Where are the bloggers?? Mailander, "WWG", Mayor Sam (just found), and Zuma Dogg are bloggin missing from cyberspace this morning.

Ron Kaye reports for duty this morning, continuing his crusade to take a "HOOVER" to corruption at the "Tower of Waste on Spring Street". He picks up on our disclosure of the monetary outlays to the likes of Steve Sugerman and Richard Alatorre.

Alan Mitttelstaed has taken up bloggin residence at Witness L.A. after his forced departure from City Beat. But his quest to expose the follies of the "Shah of Water and Power", H. David Nahai move to the "Blackball shores" of Ivanhoe Lake.
City Council President Eric Garcetti will officiate wedding ceremonies today as gay couples flock to court houses across the state to take the vows of marriage.
.....and a note to the "OLD GREY HAG ON SPRING STREET". When noting last week on the "great tank jobs in L.A. sports history", you posted a picture of the Rams "Quarterback" Jack Youngblood, what is wrong with this description??

SMOG ALERT: VILLARAIGOSA WANTS TO BRINGS DANGEROUS LEVELS OF IT TO CITY LIMITS (Must Be A Buck To Be Made, You Shady Bastard!)

Everyone knows about the traffic problems along the 710 freeway.

Well Mayor Antonio Villariagosa has a plan to help ease traffic congestion of this "Diesel Death Zone" as CM Janice Hahn called it this week. Let's build a connector road, and run the traffic through the residential area, near several schools and lots of homes. THEN, we can build a row of high density housing (with that air quality and traffic, it will probably be "Section 8" Housing) along this new connector road, as well. That way, we can make money from every angle possible. And when everyone is dead from the pollution, we'll be flying in freshly squeezed orange juice onto a private island, like Eli Broad and Richard Riordan. (Remember THAT one?)

You see, Antonio Villaraigosa CARES about Alhambra...and wants to help ease their traffic pain. So he wants to construct a four lane connector road off the 710 that will run through a residential area into El Sereno. (Oh, it's only El Sereno -- F*CK 'EM...I thought it was near Eagle Rock!)

Tony is salavating at the mouth over the road he wants to build on Caltrans property owned by the State, located about a 1/8-1/4 mile from the LA/Alhambra border on Valley Blvd/710.

The road is going to be proposed to serve Alhambra for Freemont and Valley mitigation. However, Alhambra is against it themselves, as is Pasedena, S. Pasedena and community groups in L.A.

They are in favor of a proposed underground tunnel to be built, that SCAG (Southern California Association of Governments) is behind. AND THAT IS A FEDERAL PROJECT, so Antonio doesn't get his grubby mitts on that peice of the constuction pie. SO FORGET ABOUT THE WISHES OF THE REGION (HEY TONY, ASK DAG (Design Advisory Group) which project they favor -- the Federally built "underground tunnel", or you hack connector road, that 5-6 schools in the area (El Sereno/Emery Park/Alhambra) are against, doctors in the area are against and THE SIERRA CLUB IS AGAINST.

All of because the amount of pollution you will be parading through this residential area. Then to make matters (and traffic worse) people say you will build Section 8 housing along the new road. AND, Oh yeah, T. [CLICK "READ MORE" FOR THE REST]

I hope this is NOT something you would let your OWN kids live near. (I would be forced to call social services on you for negligence, if so.) But it's O.K. for the kind of people who live in the area you want to build in near.

SO TO RECAP: Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa wants to spend $10 million to build a connector road, to help Alhambra, but Alhambra doesn't want it and will file a lawsuit after the EIR report. And remember Tony, ZD would like to remind you, you stated publicly that you would not build this road, unless El Sereno wants it...AND ZD, "Voice of the Pueblos" says THEY DON'T!!! So best back up off they tip, for the simple fact you on it like a gnat on a dogg's d*ck, bitch!

COMING NEXT: RICHARD ALATORRE'S CONNECTION TO THE CONNECTOR. (And of course, it's shady as hell!)

Zuma Dogg's "Deep Thoughts" Regarding LAANE, CRA, LA Times, Mayor Villagrossa & How To Make Big Money In The Affordable Housing Game (Racket Included)

It's kinda complicated. Hope I explain it good. It's about LAANE, the CRA, LA Times friendliness with LAANE executives who also sit on the CRA as maybe being a reason they are soft on Antonio at the LA Times. (And maybe why people are feeding me the stuff they used to feed to the Times editorial department. LOL!) So let's try and tie some of these old tidbits together for my new infomercial seminar called, "How to Make Lots of Profit in the Affordable Housing Game." (And how to play it like a game, because that's what it is to them. And it involves a racket!)

WHAT IS “LAANE”?

LAANE is the “think tank” created by County Fed AFL-CIO. That is also our city's “official affordable housing advocates" as referred to previously. They are extremely close to LA City Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. They are actually Villaraigosa’s think tank. LAANE people idolize Antonio the way an American Idol auditoner idolizes Ryan Seacrest.

LAANE can often mobilize 20 to 30 young volunteer lawyers, religious leaders, students, low-income workers, new immigrants, etc to show up at a city meeting and help kill a project completely -- or help push it through. (ZD NOTE TO ALL “ZAP” ACTIVISTS: That is the trick. You need to be able to mobilize 20 to 30 people to show up at public comment in order to influence the hearing.)

LAANE can definitely dictate affordable housing issues; and control which projects get the green light or the red light (and under what conditions).

LAANE is also a non-profit that does indeed takes donations. Yes in-diddie do they take donations. Did I happen to mention that they are a non-profit and take donations?

I think it’s public knowledge that they have taken donations from developers, law firms and consultants. (The “front-end loaded management” contract-trifecta, y’all!!!)

LAANE SUPPORTERS/DONATIONS LIST: http://www.laane.org/supporters.html : See the first one: California Community Foundation Grand Ave Committee has operated out of this Foundation! (Where can ZD see their COMPLETE Supporter/Donor list?)

HOW TO BE A SMART "LAANE-FREINDLY"/"SUCCESSFUL" (CRA-APPROVED) DEVELOPER

If I wanted to be a smart developer, I would donate to LAANE directly, right off the bat. (Tax deductible, y’all!!! Yeah, yeah!). Or, donate to the mayor (not tax deductible); and/or pay a consultant/consultants. (The more, the merrier!) In any event, if you wanna make a nice profit off of some non-profit housing, just give LAANE a call. (First!)

(And if you need good tickets to a concert, or sporting event -- call a ticket broker!)

CATCHING UP ON RELATED MATTERS: (Litterally, and figuratively.) Remember the LA Times article about Related Co.’s Bill Witte of ZD Grand Ave coverage fame?

LANNE's paid executive director was quoted in the same article; just a few lines above Bill Witte's paragraph.

But for some reason, the article didn't mention the forementioned (paid) executive director's other position. (Maybe they ran out of space!?!?)...

THE CRA CONNECTON:

http://www.crala.org/internet-site/About/Commissioners/Madeline_Janis_Aparicio.cfm

LA Times said...”(Janis) helped lead a successful campaign to legalize and regulate the activities of the mostly Latino immigrant sidewalk vendors.”

" …. she also headed efforts to combat civil rights abuses of Central American immigrants by the L.A. Police Department and the Immigration and Naturalization Service, and helped tens of thousands of Central American immigrants achieve legal immigrant status. … "

BUT EXCUSE ME:

…. She also worked for two years at the law firm of Latham & Watkins on commercial litigation and land use matters, representing many large companies throughout Los Angeles. …"

LA TIMES CONNECTION?:

http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-op-newtonjanis17jun17,0,3114973.story

LA Times Editorial Page Editor, Jim Newton, wrote the smoothcy article about Janis. ZD’s Batcomputer says they have been close and friendly with each other (along with Antonio’s Chief of Staff and fomer Alatorre-mentored, Robin Kramer).

SO TO EVERYONE WHO FEELS THE LA TIMES IS SOFT ON ANTONIO AND CITY HALL, MAYBE THAT IS WHY? (Cheesy Infomercial Announcer Voice): But wait...there’s more!!!

Jim Newton's Times article did mention her CRA position. But sent ZD another message, as well:

LA Times said...”As a member of the CRA board, she has lobbied for affordable housing set-asides in return for development rights,…"

Lobbied? A lobbying commissioner?
(How can you be a neutral decision maker (which is what a commissioner supposed to be), when you are lobbying for one side, or the other?!?!?

" … In the heated L.A. real estate environment of recent years, many developers and others have swallowed hard and accepted those conditions. But some protest bitterly in private and warn that as the market softens, they may opt to take their building projects elsewhere rather than knuckle under to what they see as extortion from Janis and like-minded colleagues…."

Extortion? Like-minded colleagues?

And remember: Oh no...one CRA board member, a union person, is Antonio’s cousin. (Price is Right “constituent loser” sounder): “Whomp, whomp, whomp, whomp...(deflated), whooooooomp.

All these thing must be legal according to our ethics law. If so, it only shows how sad our ethics law is. And the excercise and practice of such methods may also be showing us how corrupt the whole Villaraigosa system is.

(Good evening City Hall political operatives. Make sure you NEVER sing “We Are The Champions” at Karaoke.)

So the LA Times may be good for scratching the surface on some issues. But thanks to all in the community, throughout the City...from the third and fourth floor, to my diverse range of friends in the diverse areas of CD 14, to everyone I encounter at the public meetings, the people who tell me their stories on the bus (spent a half hour listening to a former union teacher from LASUD AND Private schools). All of whom make your political operative ass on the losing end of the perception game. You have no business being paid for what you do. Check the statistics. Your “strategy” isn’t working. Even if you DO have the Times under your thumb.

So what do you think? Insightful tea leaf reading, or Prop 215-induced paranoia? I hope it's the second one!

Is Antonio Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? Close Call In This Discussion on Light Rail

Yikes! The Mayor has to take shiz from everyone. Listen to this kid. Hilarious! Maybe the Villaraigosa should add her to his team of spin doctors. She put HIM on the spot just fine, in this equally matched debate over Cheviot Hills "Light Rail".

Elliot Suker resigns? Why is he giving up on CD 14?

Dear Elliot:

Thank you very much for your resignation as a co-chair to the Friends
of the Southwest Museum Coalition, it was about time! Moving forward
all your views regarding the Museum will be just that, "your views"
and not the views of the Coalition. You will no longer have the
authority to speak on our behalf. Everyone is now clear what your
position is, remaining as co-chair would have only weakened our
efforts.

To say that we are pursuing a quixotic plan that is your opinion.
Would you call the dream of the Founding Fathers in building this
great nation quixotic? Or was the dream of Charles Lummis in building
the Southwest Museum quixotic too? Both faced great obstacles and all
were overcome. One has to get out of the little box in which our
minds are confined, look outside of it and have a GREAT DREAM. The
possibilities are infinite if we care to look around and pursue them,
especially if the intent is transparent. To protect the assets of
this community is a MUST and is the RESPONSIBILITY of every person
who lives in this area. THE SOUTHWEST MUSEUM IS OUR GREATEST ASSET
AND IT CAN BE A WORLD CLASS MUSEUM IN THE NORTHEAST AREA. If we know
that, why would we give it away and settle for some miniscule center?
Why would we give away our greatest asset?

I believe that the shouting is necessary, when THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO
YOU AND IGNORE YOU, then you MUST SHOUT. We have been waiting for
more than three years for the political process to work and nothing
has been accomplished, more than ever Autry is in control of our
museum. The time we have wasted waiting for the political process to
work has only helped the Autry by giving them time to sell their
personal agenda and make it O. K. not to rebuild our Museum and
absorb the ONE BILLION worth of artifacts in their planned expansion
of the AUTRY. This political process that you so much believe in so
far has done ZERO to protect this great asset of our community. I AM
STILL WAITING FOR A POLITICAL LEADER TO TAKE THE LEAD IN PROTECTING
THE SOUTHWEST MUSEUM WITH IT'S FULL COLLECTION AS COUNCILMAN ALATORRE
AND MAYOR RICHARD RIORDAN DID IN THE EARLY 90's.

Thank you.

With new LAUSD School board taking effect July 1st, this story can serve double duty. Remind LAUSD parents and Inspector Generals how Richard Riordan handled LAUSD school construction, as Mayor, with Ramon Cortinez. (Cause Riorden is STILL running the LAUSD show for Villaraigosa, and Cortinez is the mayor's Education Deputy. AND...for all you Michelle Delgadillo news addicts...what did Mayor Riorden do, while Rocky was his Business Deputy? Give Mrs. Delgadillo a nice "patronage job". So it must be nice to have a City Hall position. It entitles you to all kinds of favors, head-turning and patronage appointments.

RECAP: [More about Riordan/Cortinez/Antonio and what to expect in July.]

In 2000 under Mayor Riorden, a company 3D1 was hired by LAUSD (cause Mayor Riorden made them hire his "preferred" company) to oversee a $2.4 billion school construction and improvement budget. (Get the stuff built.) He brought them over from the shady MTA they worked on, you may have heard of.)

So Riorden, puts Steve Soberoff (his right hand man at the time) in charge of the "oversight committee" (letting the fox watch the hens) -- and 3D1 magically hires Rocky's wife to do PR for the firm.

And oh yeah, Rocky was Deputy for Business under Riordan at the time.
So Riordan jams the 3D1 construction company down LAUSD...inserts Soberoff to head the citizen's "oversight" committee, and magically Riorden's Business Deputy Rocky Delgadillo's wife gets a kush job, that is obviously SUCH a gift, she's one of only six to get cut when the heat comes down, for overhiring.

(Project manager at LAUSD complained 3D1 was shady as hell, hiring too many people (padding the gigs) and was way too
expensive. Pressure was put on the firm to cut waste...and Michelle Delgadillo gets fired.)

NO MAJOR BOMBSHELL...It DOES show the favoritism at City Hall. The real concern here is how shady Riorden operated the scenes behind LAUSD as mayor, and how Villar has Riorden's Ramon Cortinez as Education Czar...and the new mayoral backed school board starts July 1st. So someone contacted me with what to look out for under the Riordan administration at LAUSD. (He's really running the show for Antonio when it comes to the school takeover thing.)

Was Cortinez the genius that oversaw Belmont and continued to build without an EIR?

That little escapade cost millions alone to the LAUSD. Was Soboroff supposed to oversee that?

He's now the boss at Playa Vista, another hotspot.

RE: Ted Hayes' Permitted Gathering and police not moving those without permits out of the way for those WITH permits.

Los Anarchy, y'all...this fits right in with City Council's "liberation theology" agenda, y'all. Why would police move some people, to allow other people access? People are people, and land is land. Maybe those people do not choose to recognize your laws created by the people to maintain a civil society.

I mean...God made the planet and humans, latitude/longitude maps and geographical borders were not part of the plan. So if you want to trace things all the way back...the people without permits, who didn't want to make way for those WITH permits...were simply representing the attitudes of the people who were roaming the land, BEFORE the will of the people, inhabiting that area of land (community) decided to create rules and laws to maintain civility for everyone in the community (and prevent an "eye for an eye" system of mob street justice).

But that's O.K., because we are protected from this "mob rules", anything goes "liberation theology" anarchist behavior, because we have put in place a governing system of elected officials to represent the Constitution of the United States of America, and enforce this "will of the people." Oh...no we don't: Just Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles City Council.

And they will stick up for your rights, until they end up giving you the right to spit in your eye, bash 'em over the head, and stomp on their heads. Then say, "Oh well...they are here, they have the right to be here, and they have the right to ignore our laws. We wouldn't want to hurt their feelings."

I think these soujournors were picked cuz they represent/mimic the mentality of the ghettos they are mostly going to work in: that all their troubles are caused by racism, "the man," forces that keep them uneducated, hooked on drugs, etc.: BS but what a lot really believe. So it is kind of like going into a 3rd-world country, preaching pseudo- religious stuff. whatever gets their attention. But I'm sure the Mayor and the powers that be aren't exactly fans of Chavez: he gets the fringe. MAV is now best buds w/ Riordan and his backers, hardly Marxist material.

As for the demonstration: major media downplays the political nature of it, but if last blogger is right, that the anarchsits told people it would by KKK (and media DID report that), then filled the place w/ families to put the LAPD into a difficult situation, that's a political issue, and the LAPD handled it properly. But I hope they/Council don't feel obligated to cover up the nature by calling it "a peaceful protest, families."

Even though I think the City should have prevented this by taping off some area for the permitted gatherers, since they obviously knew about it since they issued the permit. And the police should have "nipped it in the bud" like Barney Fyfe, by not letting it get to an unmanageable point. Because again, a permit was issued.

AND, if this is NOT turing into an Anarchist City...then the City should be allowed to do business...and yesterday, that business was that permit they sold.

How about this...ZD will walk everyone from skid row over to city hall and block the doors and garage entrances, preventing employees and the mayor from entering, and preventing them from doing business.

And then we will say, "Sorry...we were here first, and we do not recognize your laws to maintain civility for all. " But remember, compassion for all. You don't want to hurt our feelings."

SO THEY GOT ONE WEDGE IN. But bro, I think you did about the best job representing your side of the issue. I wish I knew who you were! Good job.

And remember, please do not say it was 500 illegal immigrants. First of all, you didn't check everyone's ID. This is about the City failing to prepare for, then allow a permitted gather to occur. Which sets a dangerous precident.

If ZD had a permit to sing like Steve Perry, and 500 people were holding US birth certificates...it would be the city's job to allow city business to carry on.

What's next? Blocking the driveway out of Union Station to protest MTA fare hikes?

And oh yeah...how were Sojourners part of yesterday's event? Were they actually a part of it? That would be quite a coincidence, that while they were at the march, I was typing a story about them. So were they there and what was their role?

[YOU AREN'T GOING TO BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL YOU I READ THIS "AFTER" MY TWO EARLIER COMMENTS ON THIS THREAD. SOMEONE JUST SENT THE LINK.]

Anti-war protesters spray paint Capitol building

Anti-war protesters were allowed to spray paint on part of the west front steps of the United States Capitol building after police were ordered to break their security line by their leadership, two sources told The Hill.

According to the sources, police officers were livid when they were told to fall back by U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Chief Phillip Morse and Deputy Chief Daniel Nichols.

"They were the commanders on the scene," one source said, who requested anonymity. "It was disgusting." After police ceded the stairs, located on the lower west front of the Capitol, the building was locked down, the source added.

A second source who witnessed the incident said that the police had the crowd stopped at Third Street, but were told to bring the police line in front of the Capitol.

Approximately 300 protesters were allowed to take the steps and began to spray paint "anarchist symbols" and phrase such as "Our capitol building" and "you can t stop us" around the area, the source said.

Morse responded to these claims in an e-mail Sunday afternoon explaining that the protesters were seeking confrontation with the police...

I understand your skepticism about the urine, it's conceivable that FRC fell for a rumour there, but they cite the New York Times on the spitting incidents, and I doubt FRC would make that up.

I'm not saying that Sojourners was responsible for all of this, but it appears that the protest got out of hand;

and in a protest you are known by actions of the company you keep...

The New York Times reported that some of the protestors actually spat at war veterans as they marched by. Peaceful civil disobedience has an honorable history in the United States, yet many of those who protested last weekend were neither civil nor peaceful. Speaker Pelosi must respond to these actions, even though her party had connections to this shameful march. For a report from the Capitol steps, log on to www.frc.org and watch the video featuring FRC Radio's Washington Correspondent, Bethanie Swendsen. I am not in a position to vouch for or dispute FRC's claims, just thought they might be of interest. Wolverine

From Jim Wallis' & Friend's "God's Politics" Sojourners site:
The Eleventh Hour for Immigration Reform

[Remember, it's "GOD's" politics, so if you don't agree: well...obviously you're going straight to hell!]

Jesus' call to welcome the stranger [Does that mean "illegal immigrants"] and the outcast is a prominent theme in the New Testament.

Based on our shared Christian values, Sojourners/Call to Renewal has been working with Christian leaders and organizations from across the ecumenical spectrum to address the crisis of immigration.

[Is the crisis "of immigration" too much, or too little? Maybe you mean the crisis regarding issues pertaining to immigaration?]

We are now facing the eleventh hour for passing legislation to help fix what EVERYONE from the left to right AGREES is a BROKEN system. [WOW! They took it to a vote obviously, because they are representing yours and my opinion, cause they say "EVERYONE"! (Well isn't THAT special?)]

With a political reality as complicated and perilous as this one, and an issue as divisive and polarizing as immigration reform, we must ask ourselves, "What should be our faithful response? How can we best apply our biblical principles to the present debate around immigration reform?" [You can apply them, wherever they overlap with the Constitution of the United States of America.]

Unfortunately, there is no simple answer. The breakdown of recent negotiations has made compromise all the more necessary, yet both extreme ends of the debate resist compromise in any form.

The current bill, making its ever-tenuous way through the U.S. Senate, reflects the difficulty of striking a balance between strict enforcement measures [BALANCE? WHAT BALANCE of enforcement? People are flowing into our region like water through Ed Reyes' LA River] -- and a path out of the shadows toward earned citizenship for the 12 million undocumented immigrants. [Path out of shadows is liberation ideology talk for "legalize anyone and everyone who is already here. Even if they were helicoptered in by Hugo Chavez.]

Any bill must reform our broken immigration system in the context of providing greater economic security [raise minimum wage AND raise your taxes at the same time] and opportunity to Americans who are already living at the edges of our economy. [You know who lives "on the edges" of our economy. Criminals who came into the country, unchecked, who sell crack to your kids in front of LAUSD bus stops and public parks.]

Where does this leave us, and our Christian principles? It leaves us with a tremendous job ahead.

We must demand that our leaders in the House of Representatives shift the starting place of this legislation.

They must resist [RESIST: code word for break the law, y'all] efforts to criminalize immigrants [it ain't "criminalizing" -- it's just not "legalizing" -- BIG DIFFERENCE, Y'ALL...you make it sound like they are chaninging it from legal to illegal, y'all] -- many of whom are our neighbors, our fellow congregants, our friends, and our family members. [Murders have freinds, congregants and family members, too. So what's your point? Just follow the law!]

We believe that a compassionate but prudent solution can be reached if we draw out the "best" of Christian and civic values. [I totally agree there! If you know of any organizations like that, please let me know! Not some political schill to cyphon religous republicans they failed to brainwash last election.]

In our coalition efforts as Christians for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, we must step up our work to demand [excuse me...wrong country...this one is US, we "request"] that Congress pass a more just, sensible, and truly comprehensive immigration package.

Between now and the congressional recess in early August, we will make our voices heard in the media, and reach out to Christian leaders in key districts around the country. [You should reach out to leaders of other religons too, you big dummies...do you policies only benefit people of certain religons? If your ideas are good, I'm sure all religous leaders would like to hear them, you discriminatory Marxists hiding behind religon, Mr. "GOD'S" Politics Jim Wallis & Sojouners! REMEBER, THEY have decided God's political agenda. They must have Jesus and Moses on their cell phone speed dials!]

[HA! Sojourner bigshot blog only has 10 comments since Friday. We get that in the first ten minutes here! But sojourners were given $4 million dollars in '05 by taxpayers to generate those 10 comments. (LOL!)]

Hey Mayor...NICE APPOINTEE!
LOOK WHAT YOU DID MAYOR...You turned me into Zuma O'Reilly by dragging Sojourners into City business. Because has Jeff stepped down from Sojourners? I was reading their Board by laws, and it looks like this may prevent a conflict that would force him to step down...all in the interpretation...but I wonder if there is anything in the City Charter that would demonstate conflict?

See, if the sojourners wanna say all that stuff, and do whatever they do...that's fine! But now it's a City issue. You forgot to mention sojourners in the press release. So that means you didn't WANT us to know. Cause I guarantee you, to know Jeff Carr, and not know he is COO of the mulit-million dollar funded non-profit sojouners...is like appointing someone Principal of a Charter school, and not mentoning you sit on the board and own the building under a separate name.

Maaaaaaaaan, what is the African American community that Carr will be trying to deal with feel when they find out he is a Sojourner?

Might make them think the referee favors one side?
Sojourners' leader Jim Wallis feels Pat Robertson inflammatory remarks "exposes Christians of all kinds to ridicule". So what does Mr. Sojourner do? He amplifies those remarks by repeating them and extending the life and reach of the comments. Bringing on more ridicule! It's so transparant Jim, just like you're agenda.

Attack Robertson and ridicule HIM, so his religous Republican fans, will swing votes to YOUR candidate, who looks to be Hillary and her Villaraigosa "liberaton theory" posse.

It's called a guerilla WARfare...just like the ones your non-profit is so familiar with.

But ZD is starting to agree with critics who say sojourners have no problem jumping into the mud in the name of religon, cause I don't think "liberation theory", as it is being applied here has a god damned thing to do with religon.

Looks to me like Sojourners are the ULTIMATE capitalists foxes in shepards clothing. YA MAKE THE EMPEROR, IN THAT "NEW CLOTHES" STORY LOOK EXCESSIVELY CLOTHED.

[Simply on the realest, dough.]

Jim Wallis/GOD's politics said...

Mainstream Christian Leaders Speak Out on Extremist Statements of Pat Robertson [Are sojourners "liberation theology" (based on Marxist/Communism) "mainstream"?]

Rev. Pat Robertson has once again exposed Christians of all kinds to ridicule with his very un-Christian remarks advocating the murder of the "democratically elected" [LOL!] President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez.

On his TV program Robertson said: "I don't know about this... "
[Don't want to repeat the remarks at risk of further ridicule.]

One encouraging thing was the response of many mainstream conservative Christian leaders, as the New York Times reported: "Some of Mr. Robertson's conservative Christian allies distanced themselves from his comments. [Look Robertson fans!!! His fans are jumping ship...Vote for Hillary!!! Vote for Hillary!!!]

The Rev. Richard Cizik of the National Association of Evangelicals said (Robertson had made)... "unfortunate and particularly irresponsible" comments. "It complicates circumstances for foreign missionaries and Christian aid workers overseas who are already perceived, wrongly, especially by leftists and other leaders, as collaborators with U.S. intelligence agencies," he added. [LOOKIE...LOOKIE...This guy says Pat Robertson is irresponsible and complicating things for Christians! VOTE CLINTON!]

However, some of the loudest and most strident voices on the Right did not comment, as the same NYT story reported: "But other conservative Christian organizations remained silent, with leaders at the Traditional Values Coalition, the Family Research Council and the Christian Coalition saying through spokesmen that they were too busy to comment." It is very discouraging that these noisy groups, who are never too busy to comment on such urgent matters as their theories on the sex lives of cartoon characters, would not see fit to speak out against such an obvious blasphemy. [AND IF YOU DON'T JUMP ON SOJOUNERS DEVICIVE BANDWAGON BASH...WE WILL BASH YOU, TOO!]

But I'd rather focus on the positive [watch what HE calls positive], so what follows is a sample of the response to Robertson's call for violence from "mainstream" [Jim decided] Christian leaders on both the left and right. To their credit, nearly all mainstream Christians spoke out against Robertson's extremist views. [Jim did a survey of ALL mainstream Christian leaders and found out "nearly" all spoke out AGAINST ROBERTSON.]

Christian Alliance for Progress

Rev. Pat Robertson is the founder of the Christian Coalition. He is the head of an "ostensibly Christian empire" that includes a television network and a university. He is also an ordained Southern Baptist minister. Yet this week Robertson has "besmirched" the name ‘Christian’ and embarrassed our country [because ONE voice represents the whole world, and everyone will equate him to ALL] by...repeats Pat's comments.

We unequivocally condemn Robertson’s statements and call on the US government to investigate such hate speech [is it hate speech if it is about a political action concerning another country's elected official] being uttered under the guise of religious freedom and therefore with the subsidy of the American taxpayer. [YOU MEAN JUST LIKE YOU JIM...OH MY GOODNESS DID YOU MESS UP...THANKS FOR REMINDING ME THAT YOU GOT MILLIONS IN TAXPAYERS MONEY TO PUSH YOUR MARXIST COMMUNIST PHILOSPHIES WHILE JEFF CARR FLYS TO IRAN TO CRITICIZE THE WAY OUR PRESIDENT AND MEDIA PORTRAYS IRANIANS. JIM MADE THAT DECISON FOR THE US TAXPAYERS!]

Furthermore, we call on national television networks and local affiliates who broadcast Robertson’s venom to pull the plug on his program [this guy is like a fake-religous version of Al Sharpton, going after Don Imus] and thus spare our children from exposure to his murderous fantasies and our citizens from any more international embarrassment. [What about YOUR involvement in supporting military guerilla warfare? That kills a lot more people?]

Such violent talk coming from someone who presents himself as a minister of the gospel of Jesus would never be appropriate. Coming as it does at a time in our national life in which we are counseling Muslim clerics against this very sort of thing, its timing could not be any more poorly calculated. [Bad timing is not a reason to yank someone off TV.]

Although there have been some national Republican politicians who have distanced themselves from Robertson, the silence from his cohort on the Religious Right has been predictably deafening. [SO EVEN IF SOMEONE ISN'T SPEAKING OUT AGAINST ROBERTSON...THEY SECRETLY HATE PAT, ANYWAY. Don't be fooled by their not speaking out against him. Cause in case you didn't know...Sojourners are also mind readers!]

That these organizations who incessantly lecture the American people about ‘absolute moral truth’ cannot find their voice to condemn a public call for murder gives us a clearer picture of the ‘moral’ vision they have for our society. [And then the silent/people who may not agree get bashed, too!]

Robertson succumbed to widespread pressure that he apologize for his outrageous remarks. But he chose to do so in an ambivalent manner. [OK, he appologized, but he didn't do it GOOD ENOUGH!]

Rather than suggest that he was misunderstood or that his words were taken out of context, Robertson should take full responsibility for his remarks without qualification. He should stop pointing the finger at others [the way are doing here and do toward YOUR government on your website].

Robertson and other leaders of the Religious Right have no hesitation about telling our President, our Congress, our courts or the public how things should operate in the United States. [It's called "free Speech" and he doesn't have to fly to Iran to do it.]

One wonders if Robertson's premise would one day be applied to opposition candidates in this country who might be a threat to an incumbent's re-election. [OK, now we're talking flat-out agendized "fear-based" propoganda. A military action is not the same thing YOU BIG DUMMY!]

It defies logic that a former candidate for the presidency [oh yeah...there's the "p" word] could skirt the brink of international law to call for the assassination of a foreign leader on the grounds that he might some day be a danger to us. [And Sojourners have done the investigation and are here to tell you that Chavez is NOT a threat to us now...MAYBE someday!]

It defies logic that this so-called evangelist [They have decided he isn't] is using his media power not to win people to faith but to encourage them to support the murder of a foreign leader. [He ain't the leader of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood...let's be real. How many more will die under his corrupt regime? But I'm not defending the action, just his hypocracy.]

I have no doubt [there he goes again] that most [stats please] of Pat Robertson's viewers have already rejected this idea, and that the 45-million people represented by the member communions of the National Council of Churches resolutely condemn it. [And that they will vote for Hillary for Prez, and Antonio for whatever! And NC of C appreciates you speaking on their behalf.]

Oh...no we don't: Just Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles City Council.

And they will stick up for your rights, until they end up giving you the right to spit in your eye, bash 'em over the head, and stomp on their heads. Then say, "Oh well...they are here, they have the right to be here, and they have the right to ignore our laws. We wouldn't want to hurt their feelings."

Someone is starting to drop Haco Hoang's name in reference to "Parlor Maid".

* L.A. SHADY/CORRUPT POLITICIANS ABOUT TO BLOW UP THE SPOT: You know ZD gets cranky over all the Paris, Rocky, Mayor's personal life talk...but you can't fight the tide...and between what has already come out this week, and what is on deck...YOU CAN BEST BELEIVE THAT LA CITY POLITICS ARE ABOUT TO BECOME THE NATION'S MOST COMPELLING REALITY SHOW. These politicians are about to provide the City with a "Shock and Awe" PR smear campaign on each other, that will end up taking everyone down -- and maybe we'll be singing, "Ding Dong, the witch is dead" a lot sooner than expected. Just when I thought I was getting out of all of this for the summer...they pull me back in. Man, are the blogs and talk radio about to get hot! [It should be noted that ZD has received more calls and emails from more new people this week, than EVER! It's too much...need stringers to handle it all!!!]

* WENDY GREUEL: Meet Charles Peyton. Man, is he against this one bar in your area! From the site (click link above): An Illegal club Opened and Operates in NOHO, 7 years ago with no sound proofing, no parking, not even an occupancy permit. Despite court orders and variance stating "Not to Operate" he does, 5 nights a week with Wendy Greuel supporting. Wendy Greuel stood before city council and supported a criminal to be granted a variance while he was on probation for running an illegal dance hall and was court ordered not to operate and still is on probation today 6.3.07 [Pretty hilarious site...unless you live in City Controller Candidate Wendy Greuel's district. Check the site for adorable "Winking Wendy" picture.]

* CITY ATTORNEY: What do you think is worse when evaluating a City Attorney?

a) All the stuff regarding Rocky's wife's stuff, and Rocky having staff babysit.
b) Having a hooker on your staff to service your contractor clients? (Not Rocky)

* SOJOURNERS: With Villaraigosa's appointment of "Czar" Carr this week, it sure put Sojourners on the map. (The non-profit group Carr is President of.) Plenty of information from their web site on this blog in the comment section. Will post complete story on this "religous" group that is based on Marxist/Communist "Liberation Theology". (Not breaking any news here...just ask them!) This group is carrying MAJOR political weight, are VERY cotroversial, and I think this appointment is going to end up being a HUMONGOUS can of worms. And to all you "Libertarian Theology fans...THIS IS MORE ABOUT "HYPOCRACY" THAN A DEBATE ON THE MERITS OF "Liberation Theology." And to everyone who feels Marxist/Communism IS the answer; from what I see, the politicians violate the "spirit", and turn it corrupt, just like everything else. So it becomes nothing more than a "front" cause for bilking the funds, just like everything else.

* LA "BROKEN" BRIDGES: The Mayor and City Council want to give over $12 million to the program that the City just paid $500,000 to be told the program was in serious disarry (to put it mildly). So what does that Mayor do...He pops a Sojourner in as Czar, and gives LA "BROKEN" Bridges over $12 million. YOU WANNA END POVERTY, CITY COUNCIL & SOJOURNERS (SOUJOURN CITY COUNCIL)??? HOW ABOUT YOU STOP DRAINING THE CITY AND STATE BONDS AND FUNDS WITH YOUR NON-PROFIT RACKET AND EVERY OTHER ANGLE YOU USE TO TAKE THE "POT" (money sitting there to be diverted into yours and your cronies/families pockets) -- AND START PUTTING IT INTO THE COMMUNITY YOU ARE SENDING INTO POVERTY. YOU F-ING HYPOCRITES...You sit there all day long and come up with new and ingenious and illegal ways to waste the money earmarked for the pueblos...then you have to go create all these bullsh*t motions to "END" poverty, Sojourn-style, on the backs of taxpayers. HEY LA TV, RADIO, AND PRINT MEDIA...Throw WCVI into the mix, and you got a real story here, almost as big as Paris Hilton.
