Jane Barnett re-elected as Chairperson of the Los Angeles County Republican Party
According to multiple sources, Jane Barnett was re-elected Chairperson of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County by a 100-60 vote.
In addition to Barnett, the slate backed by Barnett were elected to the Executive Board with a couple of exceptions. But while some within the county party community were predicting a caustic battle for control of the county party structure, the tone of today's proceedings were set early on when Barnett extending her hand in friendship to Robert Vaughn. It was Vaughn and a few others who had taken their dispute with the selection of the current board, to court where their grievance was denied.
After the voting today was completed, Barnett's first act was to call for unity and sit with Vaughn, her challenger Former POW Colonel John Fer and others, in a round table dialog to heal the wounds of the past battle for party control. One person who was in attendance stated, that the Fer-led contingent was well organize for today's election but the majority citing the up swing in donations and party registrations, felt that the Barnett-led slate deserved two more years to show continue improvements.
But the overwhelming theme of today's party election was reconciliation, which could not come none too soon as a "Blue California" heads onwards to its date with financial reckoning. Thus, the big question here is whether the Republicans in the county and state-wide, will have a message of inclusiveness and fiscal salvation, ready to sell to their respective electorates?
Your thoughts...............

Scott, the call for unity was not Janes first act as chairman. Her first act was to suspend the ByLaws and then for the next four positions to be elected on the board she stated it was getting late so we will not allow the candidates for those positions to address the group. Those nominated were only allow to stand and say nothing about their qualifications or past accomplishments. As there were many who did not know them, the Barnet Slate won easly. This was a very disappointing begining of the same old antics. Yes,Jane did ask those folks to talk after the meeting, but she must of forgotten they are currently in litigation against her and the others. After having to anti up 98 grand to pay for the RPLAC lawyers, these folks would be wise to let thier lawyer do the talking if they expect to get any of it back in the appeal

Congrats Jane! You are more than deserving of this victory and the honor to serve as our Republican County Chair! You are adored and respected by us all and have our full support. Now, let's reunite, regroup, retool and ready ourselves to WIN in 2012! There is much to be done and if we are to earn the confidence of California voters, we must work early and work often! Cause you know, we're Republicans. We work for a living! Now we have to commit ourselves to work on the future successes of our Party as well. Onward and Upward. Fight On!

Jennerjahn defeated again.
It's so funny to see someone pick so many loser positions.
On Saturday, he and his dopey fellow Republicans tried, and failed, to elect someone to the local Republican party leadership.
Things went so poorly for Jennerjahn, that he closed his blog entry by writing, "IT WAS A ROUGH DAY. I'M TIRED AND DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE."
Stated like a true loser's loser.

What have you done for the good of this country?

There are two solutions to your problem.
1. Delete the off topic comments.
2. Take a couple of minutes before posting and read what you've written. Look for your errors. Use spell check. Don't be in such a hurry.
Also, take note of the fact that aside from the comments about you, nobody appears to care about your posting.

Red Spot,
She may be a cybertroll, but she is smart enough to point out your repetitive and preventable spelling & grammatical errors.
The fact that you don't do anything about it speaks volumes about you, not her.
And since you claim to have "studied journalism in junior college," it's well within your abilities to do better.

How come nobody is talking about Jimmy Blackman becoming Dennis Zine's chief of staff? Did I miss that thread?

I quit the Republican Party.
Republicans shouldn't be answering questions with questions.

WOW.. I have to agree with Joe B.
Who does care about these dinosaurs fighting the battles of the 80's, 90's, and early parts of the 21st century?
The CA GOP and LAGOP are loaded up with old folks with zero relative vision for the state.
They have no marketing platform, the pretend CA politics is the same as the politics in Kansas. CA is socially liberal. The CA GOP needs to embrace that.

If Jimmy Blackman is being hired by Zine's office that means that his butt really was fired by the Mayor, or he left to try and make it in the private sector and failed.

Thank you for quittig the Republican party. Your leaving allowed two parties to improve.

Noone - and I mean NOONE - except for Phil and Red Spot cares about this!
Anonymous said:
No he didn't get fired by the mayor or try to find a private sector job. He quit and Zine called him immediately when he saw the resignation letter. That's what I heard. Maybe Zine has more time left in office than the mayor.

I took a look today for the first time in several days at Joseph Mailander's "blog."
He has a post comparing Jane Barnett to Miss Piggy.
What's up with that? If she was a Democrap and Red Spot did that Joseph would have a cow.

Although she is pretty gross looking, I hate to say that. Not having anything to do with her being fat. She's just too unpleasant to sit through a meeting with.
