** Blogger's Notes: In the early tabulation of Absentee Ballots, Wendy Carrillo has a 5,188-4,144 vote advantage over Luis Lopez in the tally of ballots, that will not be finalize this evening. In these types of LOW TURNOUT Elections, the results are not formally validated until non-counted Absentee and Provisional Ballots are accounted for in the next couple of weeks-----Scott Johnson.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: The Wendy Carrillo Campaign "DISAPPEARS" Endorsement of Richard Polanco ........, while continuing to EMBRACE support of Jose Huizar

In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we expose the HYPOCRISY of the Wendy Carrillo Campaign's "DISAPPEARING" of its Endorsement by former State Senator Richard Polanco ....... while still embracing the support of CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar. Meanwhile ........, the Luis Lopez Campaign garners Endorsements from The La Opinion Newspaper, UTLA and former Candidate Ron Birnbaum.
The Outing ........, then Disappearing of former State Senator Richard Polanco's Endorsement of the Wendy Carrillo (the former Huizar Staffer) Campaign.
** Blogger's Notes: Its Kickoff, whoops GOTV Time on this last Sunday before Tuesday's 51st Assembly District's Special Election and while the Luis Lopez Campaign garners Endorsements from the La Opinion Newspaper, United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) and former 51st AD Candidate Ron Birnbaum .........., the Wendy Carrillo' s "Campaign of Endorsements" attempts to DISAPPEAR (naught) an Inconvenient Supporter.
Last week, the Wendy Carrillo's "Campaign of Endorsements" was PROUD to announce ..........., and then abruptly, DISAPPEARED its support from former State Senator Richard Polanco, once his past "Sacramento Issues (and cost to the taxpayers)" were made public via a Facebook Post (pictured above).

Mayor Sam Exclusive: Wendy Carrillo's Educational Misadventures with Marcos Aguilar?

On the eve of the next 51st Assembly District (AD) Special Election Candidate Forum at the Sotomayor Learning Center, the Mayor Sam Blog discloses links between Wendy Carrillo and CONTROVERSIAL Charter School Educator/Indoctrination Marcos Aguilar, as the Luis Lopez Campaign (along with former LAUSD School Board Member Bennett Kayser) condemns her recent disparaging remarks about Public School Teachers.
Information regarding tomorrow's (Wednesday 11-15-17) 51st AD Special Election Candidate Forum at the Sotomayor Learning Center.
** Blogger's Notes: FINALLY!! The gloves are coming off in the 51st Assembly District Special Election Runoff between the Homegrown Progressive Luis Lopez and the CADEM Establishment/Special Interests United-financed Wendy Carrillo ........, just in time to add some spice to manana's Candidate Forum at the Sotomayor Learning Center.
In recent days, 51st AD Voters have been the recipient of phone calls from Carrillo Campaign that attack Lopez for his alleged ties to Corporate Medicine and Big Pharma (a dubious charge).
Meanwhile, the Lopez Campaign crafted the following Mailer (pictured below) that repudiate (with contributing testimonial from former LAUSD School Board Member Bennett Kayser) recent disparaging comments via Carrillo that targeted Public School Teachers.

Unofficially, its Carrillo and Lopez in December 51st AD Runoff

Its still Unofficial, but as of Wednesday A.M. Wendy Carrillo and Luis Lopez will be the December Runoff Candidates seeking to replace the, NOW 434th-ranking Congressman Jimmy Gomez, as the 51st Assembly District Officeholder.
Apparently, its TRUE Progressive Luis Lopez vs. the Establishment/Special Interest Darling Wendy Carrillo in the December, 51st Assembly District Runoff.
** Blogger's Notes: DISCLAIMER!! The results of yesterday's 51st Assembly District Special Election (with an abysmal 10% Turnout) are still unofficial, but its apparent that once again, Home-grown Candidate Luis Lopez will be facing an Establishment Challenger ........., who recently moved into the District (from Boyle Heights) Wendy Carrillo in a December Runoff.
Pardon the Deja Vu Political Moment, but the upcoming December Runoff has a familiar bloggin plot line, with Luis Lopez again assuming the role of Home Grown Candidate, seeking to rebuff the Political Establishment's anointment of its chosen candidate.
The Wendy Carrillo Campaign may seek to deny the assertion regarding the former Dakota Pipeline Protester, turned second-time Public Office Seeker (within weeks of her failed Congressional aspirations), that the supposed Bernie Sanders follower has gone ESTABLISHMENT.
But her SILENCE regarding the BIG OIL/ENERGY/TIMBER financing of a PAC that contributed $60,000-plus to the Working Families for Wendy Carrillo Independent Expenditure Committee, is already having adverse ramifications in the Sanders-supporting Assembly District.
That stated, the upcoming Runoff Campaign has a high probability to become what the preceding Congressional Campaign was NOT ............., a TRUE Progressive vs. Establishment Democrat Political Skirmish that could have a profound impact on the future of California's CONTROLLING political party-----Scott Johnson.

** AFTERNOON UPDATE: The 434th Ranking Congressman Jimmy Gomez (formerly of Riverside) has endorsed fellow Establishment Democrat Wendy Carrillo in the December Runoff.

“Wendy Carrillo will make an excellent Assembly member for the people I represented in the California state Legislature,” Gomez said in a statement. “She is a proven working-class progressive who understands that she must represent everyone in the 51st District."

..........., including Big Oil, Energy, Pipeline and Timber.

Early 51st AD Special Election Results (Absentee Ballots)

In the initial tally of Absentee Ballots for the 51st Assembly District Special Election, Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustee Member Mike Fong, has a 404 vote lead over Luis Lopez .........., with Wendy Carrillo CLOSELY trailing by 92 ballots.
LACCD Trustee Mike Fong (right) can smile (for now) via his early lead in tonight's 51st Assembly District Special Election.
** Blogger's Notes: DISCLAIMER ALERT!! For those few who cared to have voted in today's 51st Assembly District Special Election, PLEASE do not expect a final determination this evening regarding the CERTAIN December Runoff aspirants. with the initial tally of the Absentee Ballots, LACCD Board of Trustees Member (and former CD-1 and Mayor Villar Staffer) Mike Fong, has parleyed his numerous community contacts .........., into a 404 lead over second place candidate Luis Lopez.
But the Lopez Campaign cannot relax in being assured of a position in the December Runoff, via the CLOSE third place position of Wendy Carrillo, who only trails by 92 votes.
The initial count of the Absentee Ballots, denotes a separation of Fong, Lopez and Carrillo from the rest of the twelve candidates field, with Gabriel Sandoval being the ONLY other candidate to break double-digits in percentage of votes.
Thus, with the ABYSMAL voter turnout today, EVERY ballot will need to be counted in the days ahead to finalize the candidates for December's Runoff-----Scott Johnson

Briefly, the early election handicapping has second-time 51st AD Home Grown Candidate Luis Lopez in the Top-Two-Tier, with the rest of the field fighting among themselves to place second on October 3 ......., and move on to a December 5 Runoff. Its Special Election Day ........, Again in the 34th Congressional District

Its "D (for Decision)-Day 2017" in the 34th Congressional District as Voters partake in their Constitutional Right (protected by those who landed on the beaches of Normandy 73 years ago today) to select the replacement for, now California Attorney General Xavier Becerra.
Will an ENERGIZE Korean-American Electorate empower a Special Election Surprise for Robert Lee Ahn ......, at Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez's Expense?
** Blogger's Notes: Its "D (for Decision)-Day 2017" in the 34th Congressional District as the likes of the "Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez for Congress Moving Burro (with Carpetbag)", along with potential 51st Assembly District Special Election Candidates, await the presumptive Victory of the Eagle Rock (via Riverside) Politico, barring the UNEXPECTED ..........., which according to data via the LA Times, cannot be dismiss outright.
The LA Times reports that early Mail-in Ballot returns are showing a BOOST in Korean-American Voter Turnout that may result in a substantial narrowing of the presumptive Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez Victory Margin.
First, As of Monday afternoon, 21,000 mail ballots had been received, an increase of about 20% compared with the day before the April primary. Korean American voters, who make up just 6% of voters in this majority Latino district, are outpacing Latinos in early returns.
Second, About 5,660, or 30% of Korean American registered voters, have already voted, according to a surname and birthplace analysis by Political Data Inc. The day before the primary election, about 4,000 Korean Americans had already voted.
Third, Korean Americans made up about 27% of early mail returns as of Monday evening, and Asians as a whole, who have received targeted ads from Ahn, made up about 38% of the ballots.
Most telling ........, This doesn't include more than 1,400 voters who participated in early voting over the weekend. The vast majority of those weekend votes came from Pio Pico Library in Koreatown, where many Korean Americans also turned out in force to vote.
In discerning the information posted above, it would not be inconceivable that Candidate Ahn may have the lead this evening when the initial tally of the early vote is posted, but the big question will be whether Assemblyman Gomez will rise above his normal "Dull Persona", in motivating his Base to counter an ENERGIZE Korean-American Electorate----Scott Johnson.

Mid-day Election Day Notes 2012

Vote Greg Krikorian for the 43rd Assembly District
Replace the Infant Assemblyman with a respected community advocate.

** The LA Times aka "Old Gray Obama Hag on Spring Street" is reporting that turnout is down compare to 2008. As of Noon, 23% of register voters have partaken in their civic duty, compare to 30% in 2008. Lower turnout bids well for republicans and conservative-themed ballot measures. But it also should be noted that nearly half of today's California voters, will do so by mail. Thus, final California results may take days to tabulate.

** The "LA Obama Times" also has some early testimonials from 30th Congressional District voters on their choice for Congress.
In Studio City, Rick McNally, a 66-year-old Vietnam War veteran, said he chose Brad Sherman in the hotly contested race for the 30th Congressional District. The Studio City resident, who lives in Sherman's old district, said he picked the familiar face and the candidate he says has more Valley ties."He is more hands-on here in the Valley," McNally said, shortly after voting at a polling place along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. "He has more town hall meetings. He is more accessible."

51st Assembly District Candidate Luis Lopez hands in absentee ballot.

** Orange County Republican Congressman John Campbell stated on the Hugh Hewitt Show about two weeks back, that many internal pols are showing Obama support trending downwards in many congressional districts.

National Update:
** Respected national political observer Michael Barone, just noted on the Sean Hannity Show that turnout is down in many democratic areas across the country. From Northern Virginia, South Florida and Ohio, the Obama luster has lost its shine. Meanwhile, turnout from republicans areas of Ohio are reported to be high.

Can Mayoral Candidate Eric Garcetti rescue Jimmy "PAC Laundryman" Gomez in the 51st AD?

The Bloggin Committee to BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st Assembly District, approves this post.
BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger), Save an Exploited Burrocrat!
Homegrown Burrocrats United against Mayoral Candidate Eric Garcetti's support of Riverside Capetbagger Jimmy "PAC Laundryman" Gomez over homegrown leader Luis Lopez.
Early signs are that Cd 13 City Councilman and 2013 Mayoral Candidate Eric Garcetti's support of Jimmy "PAC Laundryman" Gomez, may backfire as voters rebel against a democratic political machine who is attempting to push another carpetbagger, upon the 51st AD electorate. Garcetti's clan, who's wife/partner Amy Wakeland allegedly attacked campaign consultant Mike Shimpock handling of the campaign, also donated monetary support to help the floundering campaign.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Friday

CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar involved in Traffic Accident.
We like to give props to the Princeton Graduate City Councilman for this teachable moment in safe, defensive driving, while behind the wheel of a city-owned vehicle.

In the interest of objectivity, we excerpt the latest LA Times posting on CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar's accident last night in Boyle Heights.
Three cars were involved in a minor traffic accident that City Councilman Jose Huizar was in before he was given a DUI sobriety test that he passed, a spokesman said."I can confirm that three cars were involved and the Councilmember was given a breathalyzer test, which registered a zero," Huizar spokesman Rick Coca said in a statement Thursday night after the accident. The accident was reported about 7 p.m. on East 1st Street near the 101 Freeway in Boyle Heights, the Los Angeles Police Department said. One person at the scene complained of injuries and was examined by paramedics but not taken to a hospital, police said.Police described Huizar as cooperative as he was being tested. He was released afterward. At the scene, Huizar's Toyota Highlander was parked behind a General Motors Saturn, which had major damage on the trunk. The accident was being investigated by Central Traffic Division detectives.Huizar, 44, was elected to the City Council in 2005 with the support of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. He lives in Boyle Heights. His 14th District stretches from downtown to Eagle Rock.

The remaining question here is whether the Princeton Graduate was driving unsafely at the time of the accident.

A Message on the "NRA's favorite PAC Laundryman" in the 51st AD

The Bloggin Committee to BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st Assembly District, approves of this message below from the "Luis Lopez for Assembly Campaign"---Scott Johnson.
Ban the Political Carpetbag(ger), Save an exploited Burrocrat.
Burrocrats UNITED against Riverside Carpetbagger Jimmy Gomez.

Over the last 48 hours, Jimmy Gomez's campaign was hit with a heavy dose of truth in regards to contributions Jimmy Gomez has taken from registered NRA lobbyists.

Compounding Jimmy Gomez's problems is the fact that at the time of the donations to Gomez, NRA lobbyists were leading efforts to weaken laws against carrying weapons across state lines and to allow importation of pelts and trophies of slaughtered polar bears.
Research gathered from polling conducted for the Luis Lopez campaign indicates that the NRA and links to its efforts are a very strong negative (click here to see memo) in this heavily Democratic district, covering Northeast Los Angeles and East L.A.
Lopez laid out his opponent's lapse in a mailer to district voters.
The Lopez mailer was reinforced in a district wide robo-call from a community member touched firsthand by gun violence and highlighting Jimmy Gomez's funding by NRA lobbyists.
Call to AD51 voters (English and Spanish):
"My name is Nadine Trujillo. I'm a long-time business owner here in our community. My husband Michael was murdered before my eyes here in Los Angeles. As a victim of gun violence, I am outraged by the fact that Assembly candidate Jimmy Gomez is being funded by thousands of dollars from registered lobbyists of the National Rifle Association.
"I am a strong believer in gun control and resent the power of the NRA lobby to buy off politicians and stop sensible gun-control measures, even to weaken and undo California law.
"So when you vote, please join me and other victims of crime and gun violence by voting NO to Jimmy Gomez and NO to the NRA lobbyists funding his campaign. We deserve much better than Jimmy Gomez and politicians who depend on and bend to the gun lobby. And we don't need another vote for gun-lobby extremists in Sacramento."
Over the past 48 hours, the Gomez campaign has not responded to the issues concerning his funding by NRA lobbyists, while the truth about this issue is reverberating across the district as voters are now casting ballots.
"PAC Laundryman" Gomez will shill for any Special Interest that contributes, without reservations. Is that some the 51 AD needs representing us in Sacramento. Support our home grown candidate, who's principles are rooted in his native soil.

We bring you S G & A Mike Shimpock's "Jump the Shark Moment" on behalf of Jimmy " PACman" Gomez

"The Bloggin Committee to BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st Assembly District" approves this "Jump the Shark Moment" by S G & A's Mike Shimpock, on the behalf of Echo Park (really Angelino Heights, if Jimmy reads his GPS properly) via Riverside, California, 51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PAC laundryman" Gomez.
BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger), save an exploited Burrocrat!

** Committee Chair notes: We were forward this ....., well, lets just say that S G & A's Mike Shimpock has gone the Happy Days "Fonzi Jump the Shark Route", in his defense of client, 51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PAC laundryman" Gomez. As is our usual style here at Mayor Sam, we post Shimpock's rant in its entirely (with bloggin commentary in bold). From the Echo Park Patch .BTW Shimpock, going "MEAT" (referring to losing consultant Michael Trujillo) in the comment section, is a waste of your client's "PAC laundry Money".
Don't expect any "prime cuts of campaign truth" regarding the true residency of 51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PAC laundryman" Gomez from his S G & A Campaign Consultant Mike Shimpock.
Using a common dirty campaign tactic of filing a fake complaint with the District Attorney’s office and then claiming an “investigation” in order to smear his opponent, Luis Lopez has sunk to criminal lows. (Did your associate Parke pioneer those campaign tactics?)
Lopez had a listed endorser file a false complaint with the District Attorney’s office regarding Gomez’s residency in order to create confusion and controversy. The complaint challenges Jimmy Gomez’s residency.(Should the D.A. be the final arbitrator of what charges are false, and not a paid political hack?)
This is ironic, since Gomez has lived in the 51st District more than a year longer than Lopez. Lopez moved into the district and registered on the last day legally allowable to make him eligible for office, and has only been registered to vote in Los Angeles since 2008.(Please note that the shark is devouring Shimpock's pathetic false spin after fail jump)
This is the type of smear I would expect from a Republican. Jimmy Gomez has lived in Los Angeles since 1996, except for brief times spent at Harvard, in Washington D.C. and to care for his dying father. (This is a "repugnant attempt" to use Jimmy's dead dad as a shield to hide the carpetbagging lies)
But what more can you expect from a candidate willing to lie about not only his opponent’s residency but also try to pilfer the endorsement of the Democratic Party? (Or buy the democratic machine endorsement through alleged "PAC laundry money".from nurse's dues)
Lopez recently sent a mailer to district voters asserting he was the “only democrat” in the race. This, too, is false. Jimmy Gomez is the officially endorsed candidate of the Democratic Party. (Correction, the official establishment machine democrat)
Eric Bauman, Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, said, regarding this mailer:, “the Democratic Party endorses only one candidate in this race, Jimmy Gomez.  Claims of an endorsement by any other candidate are false. The Democratic Party has been fighting this kind of false and deceptive behavior for many years. It misleads voters and is wrong.(Most Democrats are born to mislead and serve the Special Interests like the Carpetbagging Jimmy "PAClaundryman" Gomez)
Luis Lopez will do anything to get elected, even manipulate the law and lie about the Democratic Party. He is unqualified for office, and apparently knows that himself if he feels the need to stoop to this level. (BTW Mike, ask Parke about those 80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES that he credited to the vision of the Jimmy's machine supporter Mayor Antonio Villar).
BTW, what did Jimmy "PAC laundryman" Gomez say again about his residency?
No wonder, Jimmy claims that he is the victim via Eagle Rock Patch's Peter Choi, who noted our coverage of his superb work ........................
Two days later, my little blog was picked up by one of LA’s top political blogs,Mayor Sam’s Sister City. Under the headline “A Call to Investigate the
"Dubious Carpetbagging Ways “of Jimmy "PACman" Gomez
"Dubious Carpetbagging Ways “of Jimmy "PACman" Gomez”, they supportedmy efforts to uncover the truth and noted:

51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PACman" Gomez struggles with "Residency Question"

"The Bloggin Committee to BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st Assembly District", supports the  premise of the below video, that Jimmy "PACman" Gomez has "residency issues".
BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger), Save an Exploited Burrocrat!

From the Luis Lopez for Assembly Campaign.
Does candidate Jimmy Gomez know how long he has lived in the communities he is running to represent? Apparently not.
In a recent Assembly District 51 candidate forum in Mt. Washington, Gomez was asked a simple question about how long he has lived in the communities that he is running in. In response, he gives three entirely different years and concludes by saying, "I move around."
Why is Jimmy "PACman" Gomez  looking perplex when it comes to questions on his residency?

This month, Gomez is facing even more serious questions over recently revealed public records, in which Jimmy Gomez listed his domicile as Riverside while he was supposedly living and certainly voting in L.A. County.
Jimmy Gomez was also hit by an official complaint filed against him by local community leaders with the Public Integrity Division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/17768665/complaint.pdf
Evidence of the discrepancy involving Gomez' residency has reportedly triggered an investigation by the District Attorney.
An incidental Riverside Candidate for public office in Northeast LA? We think naught.

A Call to Investigate the "Dubious Carpetbagging Ways"of Jimmy "PACman" Gomez

"The Bloggin Committee to Ban the Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st Assembly District", supports the request for a District Attorney investigation against 51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PACman" Gomez.
"Ban the Carpetbag(ger), protect an exploited Burrocrat"!!

** Blogger note: Considering the latest blatant attempt, again, to impose a carpetbagger/outsider, as the California Assembly Rep. in the 51st District. It should come as no surprise that someone like Eagle Rock Patch blogger Peter Choi, would ask for an investigation on the voter/residency filings of Jimmy "PAC" Gomez, as excerpted below.
Last week, in response to a letter submitted by this blogger, the Public Integrity Division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed it had opened a case file to investigate candidate Jimmy Gomez regarding possible violations of the California Election Code’s voter residency requirements.According to his declaration of candidacy, Mr. Gomez has been registered to vote in Los Angeles County since 2006 (having been previously registered in Riverside County whence he comes).Campaign disclosure statements filed by various federal, state and local campaign committees indicate that Mr. Gomez continued to reside in Riverside County long after he re-registered to vote in Los Angeles County. These reports (attached above) disclose contributions those campaigns received from Mr. Gomez in July 2008, February 2009, February 2010, August 2010 and November 2010. Each of these disclose that his residence was in Riverside County at the time he made the contributions, not Los Angeles County as he declared in his declaration of candidacy.

Choi's post set off alarm bells quickly, with Gomez Campaign Counsultant "SG & A's" Mike Shimpock, leading the retorts in the comments section of the original post. The Gomez Team also wrote a rebuttal by a certain "Mark Gonzalez", that went nowhere, but back in their collective faces, via this "disclosure".

Mark Gonzalez,Also, while Choi is a resident and as far as I can tell not affiliated with Lopez except as a supporter based on his earlier blog post which makes that clear and why he supports Lopez, you should have made clear that you are part of the Democratic Establishment backing Jimmy Gomez - in past Patch articles alone you are described as a Field Deputy for Assembly Member Anthony Portantino, a Senior Field Rep for CA Assembly President John Perez and one quick google search landed me on the Northeast Democratic Club (who endorsed Gomez) website which lists "Mark Gonzalez" as the Vice President there, is that you? In the interest of fairness shouldn't you have made clear that you are part of the machine instead of (mis)representing yourself as just an Eagle Rocker? Your profile shows you are a first time commenter and new to the Patch which tells me and others like me that you have shown little interest in this community and our issues. Come on, be honest and be fair. Let us voters decide this with facts and not adjectives.

Thus, can we surmise that Assembly Speaker John Perez has an official (paid for with public money) Jimmy "PACman" Gomez "apologist". on payroll standby?

51st AD Candidate (via Riverside) Jimmy "PACman Laundryman"? Gomez
What should be equally worry some to 51st AD voters, is PACman's borderline money-laundry of PAC money into his campaign coffers, as highlighted by LA Weekly's Gene Maddaus.
Follow the nurse's dues money closely ...............
Some of Gomez's money, and many of his endorsements, come from elected officials who have received cash from UNAC. Among those who have received UNAC money and then endorsed Gomez are Assemblywoman Holly Mitchell, Assemblyman Ricardo Lara, Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield, Congresswoman Janice Hahn, and Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones.
Several candidates for the L.A. Community College District board have received money from UNAC and contributed to Gomez, including Miguel Santiago, Steve Veres and Scott Svonkin.

Somewhere, a "campaign washer" is on the spin cycle. Further .....
In early May, UNAC gave $20,000 to the L.A. County Democratic Party. Later that month, the party sent out a mailer, worth about $15,000, urging support for Gomez. Eric Bauman, the chair of the L.A. County Democratic Party, said there was no connection between the two.
"We don't play that way," Bauman said. "We would do stuff for Jimmy whether UNAC gave us money or didn't give us money."

....... amazing how comments get "washed", referring to "PACman Gomez" campaign finances.

But what Maddaus misses in his post, was highlighting the stigma the "carpetbagger label", has on a candidate in Northeast LA. Just ask Victor Griego,.who's political sin in 1999, was residing in South Pasadena while seeking to replace CD 14 City Councilman Richard Alatorre. Thus, how are Northeast voters going to receive the latest establishment carpetbagger from Riverside? History should provide some insight.

Support Homegrown Assembly Candidate Luis Lopez in the 51st AD

The "Bloggin Committee to BAN the Political Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st Assembly District" supports this message.
"Save a capetbagging Burrocrat, vote Lopez for Assembly".

Residents of Northeast Los Angeles and Beyond -

As the rhetoric of the November elections becomes louder and our mailboxes are filling with glossy flyers and brochures, I despair over the cynical belief of some political organizations in this State that they can decide for us who our elected officials will be.  Do you share that concern?  (Scroll down to the event information set forth below right now!)

Are you willing to organize our low-cost resources to work together to elect a grassroots candidate for State Assembly?   Do you reject the apathetic thinking that nothing can be done to counter the money of certain chambers of commerce, public employee unions, political parties and billionaires who will try to mislead our local friends and neighbors into "buying into" their candidate who, until recently, did not even live or vote in this District?

Then we need to raise some funding for our local candidate for State Assembly:

LUIS LOPEZ FOR THE 51ST ASSEMBLY DISTRICT

. . . and equally vital, we need to organize ourselves to use the Internet to counter those glossy flyers and brochures that will finance the other candidate pre-selected by the political machine to become our Assembly member.

I understand that the other candidate may have many positive items on his resume as well.  Maybe he is well-spoken most of the time. But really, should that justify overlooking his complete absence from our community for the years leading up to this election?  I think not.  Let us say "NO" to another "Carpetbag Assemblymember"!

That is why like-minded people in Northeast have banded together to host a fundraiser for Luis AND to have a conversation about how to use our email address books, our Facebook pages, our Twitter account to support a decent, hard-working, long-time leader who is invested in our community.  Your email address book is a very powerful tool in this election that makes the most powerful quake with fear.

The other side in this race is counting on you to continue to passively watch television and vote as you are told by the blizzard of glossy flyers and brochures that land in your mailbox.  Turn off the TV this Sunday afternoon -- no matter who is playing who on the football field!  Let's gather together as friends and neighbors in Northeast and talk about how we can combat this manipulation of the democratic process by interests OUTSIDE our community.

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

However, your willingness to speak out using your Internet resources may be even more important in this election.  Come and talk with us about how online resources can support a Luis Lopez win.

Luis Lopez polls ahead of Jimmy "PACman" Gomez in 51st AD Race

The Bloggin Coalition to Ban the Political Carpetbag(ger) in the 51st AD, is happy to share these poll numbers regarding the 51st AD Race between home grown candidate Luis Lopez and Jimmy "PACman" Gomez

Jimmy "the Special Interests PACman" Gomez

In one of California's few Democrat-on-Democrat general election contests for a state legislative seat, Luis Lopez has edged ahead of rival Jimmy Gomez.
A recent poll conducted by Global Strategy Group shows Lopez with a lead of 40 to 38 percent among likely voters. Both candidates appear equally known by district voters, despite a spending blitz by Gomez to introduce himself to local voters, resulting from large contributions from Sacramento interests.
Survey results also documented advantages among major endorsers for Lopez, a district native who has served district communities for a decade. Gomez counts on his endorsement by the state Democratic party, with 32 percent of voters citing that as a reason that makes them "much more likely" to vote for a candidate with this support. However, Lopez has the more compelling endorsements. Support for Lopez by California National Organization for Women and Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project Los Angeles are more compelling among voters, with 40 percent and 43 percent of voters "much more likely" to vote for a candidate with these endorsements.
Lopez has mobilized a large donor base of more than 1,400 individual supporters. If he continues to gather the resources to reach voters, he will win.
Remember to support homegrown candidate Luis Lopez for Assembly.

Shocking image of poor, exploited democratic donkey, that was seen wandering back to Riverside after bearing large amounts of PAC Money to transplanted 51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PAC Man" Gomez's new Echo Park Residence. "Ban the carpetbag(ger), save a Burrocrat"!
