Assemblyman "Slobo Mikey" Gatto's PAC is back in Burbank and Glendale Elections

Assemblyman "Slobo Mikey Gatto" associate's "Prosperity PAC" is mucking up City of Burbank Elections. Will the same PAC play a role in a possible "Slobo Mikey" run for CD 4 in 2015?
From the former "Infant Assemblyman", to the current political incarnation as "Slobo Mikey", the ethnic cleanser of voters in the 43rd Assembly District.
Is this the future face of a CD 4 City Councilman? Lord Help Us!
Once upon a political sound bite, a live-at-home-with-mommy Infant Assemblyman, from the working-class ghetto of Silver Lake, made these comments about the role of Corporate Money in political campaigns.
An Infant Assemblyman rants against Citizen United Corporate Free Speech in Political Contributions.
But as we near high noon on this blessed Sunday before Election Day, the former Infant Assemblyman has mature into the now "Assemblyman Slobo Mike" and as Ron Kaye reports in his Sunday, Glendale News Press Column, he has become the latest Sacramento politico, baptize into the "Super PAC Church of Special Interest Money".

Just days before Burbank voters went to the polls, Mike Gatto was the star attraction for a Napa Valley retreat at a five-star hotel where, for $5,000 each, guests could schmooze with the assemblyman and four of his legislative pals. The event was organized by Dan Weitzman, a Sacramento political consultant who was on Gatto’s campaign payroll for $3,000 a month the last two years and helped raise a $1-million campaign war chest for the assemblyman. The beneficiary of the money raised at the retreat was a political action committee called Prosperity led by Weitzman with Stacey Brenner, Gatto’s political director, serving as a fundraising consultant.Gatto has no role in Prosperity, Weitzman says, but critics suspect he is the central figure in a tangled web of political relationships that have brought at least three PACs into Burbank city elections where most candidates normally raise only a few thousand dollars, and special interests from outside rarely get involved.

Whether "Slobo Mikey" is or not associated with the "Prosperity PAC", the behavior of the PACs, mirrors the political behavor M.O. of the second term assemblyman, as indicative with its funding of candidates such as Burbank Democratic Club "Bad Boy" David Dobson, who's behavior in the video below at the 4:10  mark, is not worthy of someone running for a school board seat.
Judging from "Slobo Mikey's" proclivities in racial identity politics, "Prosperity" is not the appropiate name for an alleged Gatto-linked PAC.

As the anti-PAC "Infant Assemblyman" has matured into "Slobo Mikey", his alleged association with IE Super PACs , have garnered headlines for their overt racial overtones.

Yet another federal super PAC with ties to Gatto is Californians for Integrity in Government, which paid for a controversial anti-Berman mailer last fall.It was targeted to Republican voters using mugs of Rep. Maxine Waters (black), Rep. Barney Frank (gay) and Sen. Barbara Boxer (Jewish) with the overline “If you love these politicians, then vote for Howard Berman.”County Democratic Party leaders denounced it as “despicable” and “divisive;” Berman called it “offensive to women, minorities, the LGBT community and Valley voters.”It was a trifecta of offenses that the Jewish Journal tied to Sherman’s former district director, none other than Mike Gatto, who worked for the congressman for five years.Gatto’s response in the article in an email from a staffer: “Mr. Gatto has no official relationship with the entity…”The operative word is “official” — a pretty fine-line distinction when so many threads of this web of intrigue and money tie together.

In conclusion, taking the account from Kaye's column above, and add in "Slobo Mikey's" recent behavior in seeking to "cleanse" Armenians from voting in the recent 43rd Assembly District Delegate Election, the apt name for an Assemblyman "Slobo Mikey" Gatto Super PAC would be "Slobo Mikey's Ottoman Coalition to Suppress Armenian Voting Rights".

Mid-day Election Day Notes 2012

Vote Greg Krikorian for the 43rd Assembly District
Replace the Infant Assemblyman with a respected community advocate.

** The LA Times aka "Old Gray Obama Hag on Spring Street" is reporting that turnout is down compare to 2008. As of Noon, 23% of register voters have partaken in their civic duty, compare to 30% in 2008. Lower turnout bids well for republicans and conservative-themed ballot measures. But it also should be noted that nearly half of today's California voters, will do so by mail. Thus, final California results may take days to tabulate.

** The "LA Obama Times" also has some early testimonials from 30th Congressional District voters on their choice for Congress.
In Studio City, Rick McNally, a 66-year-old Vietnam War veteran, said he chose Brad Sherman in the hotly contested race for the 30th Congressional District. The Studio City resident, who lives in Sherman's old district, said he picked the familiar face and the candidate he says has more Valley ties."He is more hands-on here in the Valley," McNally said, shortly after voting at a polling place along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. "He has more town hall meetings. He is more accessible."

51st Assembly District Candidate Luis Lopez hands in absentee ballot.

** Orange County Republican Congressman John Campbell stated on the Hugh Hewitt Show about two weeks back, that many internal pols are showing Obama support trending downwards in many congressional districts.

National Update:
** Respected national political observer Michael Barone, just noted on the Sean Hannity Show that turnout is down in many democratic areas across the country. From Northern Virginia, South Florida and Ohio, the Obama luster has lost its shine. Meanwhile, turnout from republicans areas of Ohio are reported to be high.

Notes on the LA County Assembly Races Scorecard

** Blogger's Note: In the spirit of driving turn out for tomorrow's elections, we bring these briefs and excerpts on competitive California State Assembly races that hopefully can break red. Voters should remember that a democrat pick up of two Assembly seats, will give the Dems the super majority to pass tax hikes on an over-taxed electorate.. In recent weeks, the likes of Assemblyman's Roger Hernandez and Mike Gatto have been in the news for questionable conduct. Will that translate into Republicans victories on Election Day? Turn out is the key---Scott Johnson.
Booking photo of Assemblyman Roger Hernandez.
** From the San Gabriel Valley Tribune which has endorsed Republican Challenger Joe Gardner to replace the Jimmy Gomez supporter and current 48th AD Assemblyman Roger Hernandez.
ASSEMBLYMAN Roger Hernandez, we see your kind offer, and we'll raise it.After allegations of cocaine abuse were made last week from the former girlfriend who says you caused her "visible injury" after hitting her with a belt and slamming her against a wall on July 14, you said you'd take a drug test to show you were clean.Excellent. And to expedite matters, as we know how important this is to you just five days before Election Day, with your chance at a second term in the Legislature on the line, we'll arrange and pay for the drug test at the clinic right up the street where all our employees have been taking a pre-employment drug test for the last 25 years. We have the paperwork ready. We're serious. It's important for you to show your constituents in the central San Gabriel Valley that you are serious, too - and not on drugs. It's important to us that you do it before your constituents go to the polls on Tuesday. Give us a call and we'll make it happen out of our shared interest in a transparent democracy

** From the LA Weekly regarding the 49th AD contest.
The San Gabriel Valley showdown pitting two successful Asian-American professionals, a doctor and a lawyer, against one another is getting cutthroat in the dwindling hours to election day--with accusations of tax evasion, lawsuits and a restraining order to boot.Joy Lin, wife of candidate Dr. Matthew Lin, filed suit on Friday, October 26 claiming that the campaign of Ed Chau unlawfully distributed her social security number in filers and advertisements on television and YouTube. She is seeking $25,000 in damages.Chau's campaign did not remove the video, so on Wednesday, Lin filed a temporary restraining order as well.Lin's social security number is visible on images of a tax lien, issued in 1997 and featured in the image. (The Pasadena Star-News reports that of the three tax liens shown in the video, two were issued erroneously and the third was settled in 2008.)Superior Court Judge Edward Simpson ordered Chau to remove the YouTube video and pull a television advertisement featuring the flier. But, as you can see below, the offending video is still up on YouTube:

** From the Daily Breeze regarding the 66th AD Race.

A South Bay Assembly race is among the most expensive in the state, attracting millions of dollars in donations and expenditures, finance records show. One of as few as four districts statewide that could go to either party on Tuesday, the 66th District race between Republican Craig Huey and Democrat Al Muratsuchi could decide whether or not Democrats gain a supermajority in the chamber. It's a rematch of the June primary, when Muratsuchi won 40.9 percent of the vote, beating Huey by about 2 percentage points. Republican Nathan Mintz won 20.6 percent, but only the top two finishers were eligible for Tuesday's general election.Democrats have a four-point registration edge in the district, and most political analysts say it is a true tossup.

Along with a win in the 43rd AD, Republicans can create a red interface in Los Angeles County.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Election Eve

Rebuffing the Fake Republican Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto
The petulant Infant Assembly caught engaging in political identity thief..
Assemblyman Mike Gatto won't be laughing at the voter backlash tomorrow.
The Republican choice?
Assemblyman Mike Gatto would have you believe that from the slate mailer that was sent to 43rd Assembly District voters in the last few days. But so laughable is the Infant Assemblyman's "bought and paid for assertion", that Breitbart.com posted this yesterday on its site.
In southern California, an incumbent Democrat state legislator appears to be running as a Republican in order to get reelected.Prominently picturing Mitt Romney, Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln on campaign flyers addressed to California “Republicans,” and featuring the California Republican Assembly logo, Democrat Mike Gatto lists his own name in a ballot-style list of Republican candidates for federal and state office. This campaign literature has appeared on the weekend before the election.A reasonable inference from the flyers is that Gatto is a Republican endorsed by the California Republican Party.  Nowhere do the flyers identify Gatto as a Democrat.  In fact, Greg Krikorian is the Republican endorsed candidate for local state assembly office. This flyer suggests that even a local state district in California may not be as solidly blue as polls would have us believe.  And, like the Tea Party influence in 2010, Romney's coattails may sweep many Republicans into office all the way down the ballot to local dogcatcher…even in California.

Could a Romney win translate to Republican pickups in California? More on that later.

** Daily News Rick Orlov's "Tipoff Column" focus on the pending start of the 2013 Mayoral Campaign to replace the Failure Mayor Antonio Villar. The question to ask after the results of the Presidential Election are known, is what candidate would open doors in Washington D.C.?

** Toll roads will make their debut in Central Los Angeles County this weekend as the toll booths go up on the 110 Freeway.

Using the 110 Freeway through South L.A., which runs through some of the most economically challenged turf in Southern California, could soon cost you as much as ... $1.40 a mile. That's because Los Angeles County's first "High Occupancy Toll" system will spark up starting Saturday. You'll have the option of paying for using revamped diamond lanes, now called Metro ExpressLanes, or staying stuck in slower traffic. The rates will vary depending on how bad traffic is:
The lowest price will be .25 cents a mile; the highest toll will be $1.40. Says Metro:

...... and still Metro wants more Sales Tax money.

** As a Public Service, we present the Betty Pleasant Voting Guide!
This is how I will vote on Nov. 6: President and vice president — Barack Obama and Joseph Biden; United States Senator — Dianne Feinstein; United States Representative — Howard Berman, because he did not endorse Carmen Lietanich for district attorney; State Senator — Fran Pavley, because she’s a Democrat; State Assembly — Bob Blumenfield — because he’s a Democrat; District Attorney — I pass because I dislike them both.
State Measures: Prop. 30 — NO (?). I’m voting No on 30 and No on 38 because the only public school district I know anything about is the Los Angeles Unified School District and as far as I’m concerned, LAUSD does not deserve another red cent of my money. Other school districts in the state may be decent, but this one is racist, is run by self-serving politicians instead of bonafide and qualified educators and doesn’t know what to do with the money it has. The LAUSD school board thoroughly offended me when it voted to give $200,000 of public education tax money to a middle-aged homosexual who said he was forced to have sex with the elderly homosexual school superintendent. Why do I have to pay for that?! We need a proposition that would exempt school funds from being spent on anything that has nothing to do with children. And until we get such a measure, I don’t want to give the public schools another cent. LAUSD can just disappear and that would be just fine.
Betty on Prop 32.

Prop. 32 — NO. Because I was raised on unions. I grew up surrounded by family members who were staunch unionists and I learned to appreciate the value of unions to their members and their families. I would never do anything to undermine a union.

Betty on the Death Penalty

Prop. 34 — NO. I do not want the death penalty repealed. What I want is the death penalty enforced. I want people who are convicted of killing people to be killed. I’m not interested in the issue of whether the death penalty serves as a deterrent to murder.

Betty on Measure J.

Measure J — Absolutely not! NO, NO and NO. We voted a tax increase for this not so long ago and now the county has asking for some more?! With none of it going on the Crenshaw Line?! NO.

Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto resorts to Smearing and Lying in Desperation Bid for Reelection

Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto's Lies, Smears and Repugnant Attack Ads get National Media Attention
This Infant Assemblyman's dirty tactics knows no crying shame.
Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto is in the biggest struggle of his young political career against Glendale School Board Member Greg Krikorian, a he seeks reelection in the 43rd Assembly District. In a sure sign of desperation, the Silver Lake Infant Assemblyman has gone big time negative, with this smear mailer above. We should note that the baseless attacks made in the mailer, first appeared at this Gatto Truther astro-turf blog. Sadly, that is normal political behavior for the Infant Assemblyman.
Just how desperate is the Infant Assemblyman to get reelected? Little Mikey apparently used some of his Special Interest money to by himself a spot on a supposed Republican Slate Mailer pictured above. (** BTW, note that the mailer supports Prop 30 which would raise taxes and is against anti-union Prop 32). Noting this, any Republican should be able to ascertain that the Infant Assemblyman is lying, when a bogus slate mailer asserts that he is the "Republican choice" for the 43rd Assembly District. The blatant attempt by the Infant Assemblyman to cast himself as a Republican, has garnered national media attention via Breitbart.com
As noted by the Jewish Journal and denounced by the Los Angeles Democratic Party, it appears that the Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto's proclivities for creating repugnant, misleading mailers, is not limited to his own reelection campaign. Republican or Democratic foe alike, the Infant Assemblyman and his former boss Congressman Brad Sherman, will gladly hit low on their respective opponents. The question here for 43rd AD voters (and in extension 30 Congressional District voters), is whether someone who smears, lies and allegedly targets gender and ethnic groups in a repudiated mailer, is fit to continue representing their interests in Sacramento?

LA Weekly: "Mike Gatto's Blogger Problem ( with Mayor Sam)"

Why does Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto have Bloggin Issues with Mayor Sam?
Infant, petulant political babies grow up to be ........
... sinister political bullies, who know no boundaries when attacking their perceived enemies.
The Official Headware of Gatto Truthers.
** Blogger's Note: We would like to thank LA Weekly's Hillel Aron for his brief missive on the "unique bloggin relationship" between the Mayor Sam Blog and Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto. Apparently, there is not a day that goes by, where the Infant Assemblyman is not fixated on our bloggin commentary and who supposedly finances this medium. For the record, contrary to the myths of the Gatto Truthers, the viewpoints on this blog, are not predicated on any potential economic benefit to Campaign Consultant Eric Hacopian. Sorry "Little Mikey", but you're chances of proving your outlandish, conspiratorial claims, are worse than the odds that the Tooth Fairy, would leave you a campaign donation under your infant crib pillow. We should also note for clarification, that our past alleged use of "innuendos and rumors" in reporting on the prior actions of the "Infant Assemblyman", were in reality, factually-based documentation, supplied by a reputable republican opposition researcher, who put his name to the exclusive documents below, that in this blogger's opinion, were the basis for the Infant Assemblyman's "Legal Cease and Desist Request" against this blog. I should note in conclusion, that this blogger's paramount priority in all his past reporting on the "Infant Assemblyman", was to provide commentary based upon the facts .... and when a mistake was made, this blogger held himself accountable---Scott Johnson.
Voters in the 43rd AD have the right to question whether Gatto defrauded public funds, while working full time on former boss Congressman Brad Sherman's Reelection Campaign. ** You can view the rest of the documents after the jump.

What is so Independent about Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto?

WOW!! Who knew that Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto was capable of Independent Thoughts (a whooping 3.1% of the time)?
Glad to know that "Little Mikey" is capable of Independent-Minded Tantrums about 3.1% of the time.
Graph above from the Sacramento Bee.. Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto's assertion during last Thursday night's 43 AD Candidate Forum, that he is the second-ranked Independent-Minded Democrat in the State of California Assembly, came to fruition in this laughable brief Just think of the political courage it took to defy Assembly Speaker John Perez a whooping 3.1% of the time!! Thus, using LAUSD math, the Infant Assemblyman was loyal to "Papi Perez" and the Democratic establishment 96.9% of the time. Using the former Professor Gatto grading scale, we can conclude that the Infant Assemblyman would get an "A+" for party loyalty on all votes cast in the Assembly.
In conclusion, we recommend that the Infant Assemblyman and his dwindling ranks of Gatto Truthers, fill up the glasses with liquid courage, because a political day of reckoning, awaits a week from today..

Mid Day 2012 Election Briefs for Monday

The above video expose by CNN's Anderson Cooper is not likely to help Assemblywoman Butler as election day approaches and during last week's Santa Monica Daily Press "Squirm Night" festivities, challenger Richard Bloom asked her again to state her opinion on SB 1530 (link to see video). As the 50th AD contest enters its last week, Butler has spend $1.5 Million dollars on her campaign, but a non-vote in Sacramento may trump those expenditures.

Video from 43rd Assembly District Debate between Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto and Glendale School Board Member Greg Krikorian
Judging from the crowd reactions during the only debate between Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto and Glendale School Board Member Greg Krikorian, the current officeholder is in big trouble. In addition, what was up with Little Mikey and the League of Women Democratic Establishment Voters obvious collusion on debate questions? "Little Mikey" cannot even play fair in a simple debate, judging by the numerous cheat sheets he recited from during the hour-long forum.

CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar and newly-elected Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council President Michael Nogueira, to host a neighborhood coffee with 51st AD Candidate Jimmy "PAC Laundryman" Gomez.

This get together has major potential as a teachable political moment, when it comes to monetary uses by like-minded members of the same political machine. The "PAC Laundryman" can offer up advise how to wash nurse's due moneys into contributions to self while the Princeton Graduate can filibuster on his years-long white-washing on disclosures of CLARTS Fund expenditures.

The One and Only 43rd AD Debate between Gatto and Kirkorian tomorrow night in Glendale

The only 43rd Assembly District Debate before Election Day.
Poor Infant Assemblyman Little Mikey Gatto does not like debating opponents.
Little Mikey may need a stiff drink after Election Day.

Republican Challenger Glendale School Board Member Greg Kirkorian.

** Blogger's note: This blog's admiration for the Silver Lake stay-at-home Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto, has been well chronicled at various newspapers, other blogs, in legal documents and of course, here. Thus, you can rest assure that this blog will be on hand tomorrow evening in Glendale when the Infant Assemblyman makes his only debate appearance with Republican challenger Glendale School Board Member Greg Kirkorian. Kirkorian in the June Primary garnered 45% of the vote with a campaign budget of less than $10,000. Since then, major money and endorsements have flowed into the campaign. The newly-drawn 43rd District, which leans more to the center, makes this race a possible Republican pick up come November---Scott Johnson.

As a public service to 43rd AD voters, we link to the excellent five-part series of posts by Garen Yegparian on Asbarez.com, regarding the true "Grimy Gatto", enjoy!!

2012 Election: Grimy Gatto, an except ...........

The residents of California’s 43rd State Assembly district are children of misfortune now because of who represents them, Mike Gatto.Grimy Gatto is a member of the Democratic Party, so, by and large, the Republicans in the district are bound to be dissatisfied with him. Unfortunately, the Democrats in the district also have cause to be dissatisfied with him. As to the Armenian community, the largest to be found in any of California’s 80 assembly districts, the reasons for dissatisfaction are legion.
2012 Election: Grimy Gatto II, an excerpt .............

Now let’s move on to an example of how Gatto has been busy taking advantage of (and in the process exacerbating) divisions in the Armenian community. You’ll remember that back when Mike first ran for Assembly, it was a four-way race- Sunder Ramani, Mike Gatto, Chahe Keuroghlian, and Nayiri Nahabedian. Many of us remain convinced that Chahe participated in that election strictly to divide the Armenian community’s vote and CAUSE Nayiri to lose. This allowed Mike to win. It was the only way he could win. So he had an interest in dividing the Armenian vote. In this scenario, the Hnchags in our community, through their Armenian Council of America PAC enthusiastically supported Mike BY SUPPORTING CHAHE. Of course, they had to get a payoff, their thirty pieces of silver. This came in the form of “behested payments” *(see below for explanation) secured by Mike Gatto for two Hunchag affiliated organizations, Armenian Education Benevolent Fund and Nor Serount Cultural Association, from the AXA Settlement Claim Fund (yes, the same fund that is now mired in recriminations between the two factions of lawyers on that case). You can see for yourself at http://www.fppc.ca.gov/cosponsor/2011-Assembly.xls. The way to tell this is a “thirty pieces of silver” situation is that these organizations, while totally legitimate, are not much of a presence in the 43rd Assembly district that Mike Gatto supposedly represents. If he really wanted to support the Armenian community in his jurisdiction, there are many other organizations that do much more to serve this community, which he could have helped to fund.

2012 Election: Grimy Gatto III, an excerpt ...............

Things seem to get done and written that benefit Mike Gatto politically. I’ve noticed, however, that he’s really good at keeping himself at some remove from those. His fingerprints are not to be found at the scene. The easiest example is a blog, whose name I won’t give so not to publicize a website that is replete with libelous statements. This blog is totally anonymous. No one knows who owns and publishes it. Most of the material published supports Mike Gatto or attacks those opposed to him. There is some other material, but only enough to make it seem like a legitimate publication, rather than the Gatto mouthpiece it really is

2012 Election: Grimy Gatto IV, and excerpt ................

Let’s start with an example of Mike’s public pronouncements being not quite consistent with one another as he pursues undeserved credibility. Regardless of what your position is on the I-710 extension, you’ll see how Gatto trips up over his own insecurity. In March of 2010, when asked his position on the 710 issue, Mike told the Glendale Sunroom Desk that he was still researching the matter of the 710 tunnel proposalYet in a letter-to-the-editor Gatto wrote regarding an article that he said misrepresented his position on the 710 question , he claimed “I have been, and continue to be, opposed to the extension of the Long Beach (710) Freeway in any form.” Really? That wasn’t his position a short time before, as proven by the first article I cited.

2012 Election: Grimy Gatto V, an excerpt ..............

But Gatto’s duplicity and unpleasant tactics don’t end there. Shortly before Greg Krikorian, Gatto’s opponent in the race for the 43rd Assembly seat, filed his papers to run for the position, he started getting phone calls. At the time, Greg’s parents were going through some health issues, and Greg was busy helping them. Yet Gatto was “persistent,” even telling Greg’s wife Christine it was “an old friend calling” when he phoned Greg’s home fairly late at night. When they spoke, Greg was left with the impression that he was being threatened.

..... its time to return mature, responsible leadership to the 43rd AD.

A Morning Tutorial on a certain "Grimy Infant Assemblyman Gatto"

Beware of alleged late-night phone calls from a certain Infant Assemblyman.
Why would an Infant Assemblyman call his reelection challenger at home in the late evening?
"Paging Greg Kirkorian! You have another phone call from a persistent old friend".

** Blogger's note: If anyone needed an example on the true persona/character of Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto, then take the time to read Garen Yegparian's excellent missive entitle "The Grimy Gatto V". This is the fifth in a series of articles on the Infant Assemblyman by Yegparian that have been posted on Asbarez.com. We post here "Grimy Gatto V" in its entirely for your reading pleasure---Scott Johnson
This time, in exposing some of Assemblymember Mike Gatto’s reprehensible actions, I am indebted to a blog called “Mayor Sam” The folks writing this website have been doing excellent work documenting his errant behaviors ever since he was first a candidate. You might enjoy reading some of the reporting they have done.
From Mayor Sam we learn of Mike’s insensitivity to the mentally handicapped. It seems a few years ago, Mike, like many others, was trying to make money by registering domain names on the internet which he thought might be desired by someone in the future. No harm in that. But among the names he grabbed were RightTarded.com and LeftTarded.com. This is clearly a political word play on “retarded” combined with the left and right ends of the political spectrum. This is just one more example of why many Democrats have trouble stomaching Gatto.
Mayor Sam also exposes Gatto as someone who abuses the public trust. How else would you describe what follows? In 2002, Mike was working, according to Federal Election Commission records, on Congressman Brad Sherman’s reelection campaign. Of course, high-season for this kind of work is after Labor Day, September-October-November. Yet somehow, on October 9, Mike Gatto managed to claim 227 hours’ worth of work when he billed the City Of Los Angeles, based on a six-month “personal services contract.” The contract was signed on September 19. It was only officially approved on October 2. Pretty impressive, isn’t it, how in just 19 days (about three weeks), Gatto was able to work 227 hours (about four-and-a-half work-weeks), all while simultaneously campaigning for the Congressman he was working for? Is this the kind of person we should have in the state legislature in these tight financial times?
But Gatto’s duplicity and unpleasant tactics don’t end there. Shortly before Greg Krikorian, Gatto’s opponent in the race for the 43rd Assembly seat, filed his papers to run for the position, he started getting phone calls. At the time, Greg’s parents were going through some health issues, and Greg was busy helping them. Yet Gatto was “persistent,” even telling Greg’s wife Christine it was “an old friend calling” when he phoned Greg’s home fairly late at night. When they spoke, Greg was left with the impression that he was being threatened.
And speaking of Christine, it turns out she had some financial problems which the Glendale News Press decided to report on, making it seem, inaccurately, that Greg was involved, too. Aren’t you curious as to how this newspaper, short-staffed as it is, came up with this story? Does anyone doubt it was Gatto’s minions that planted the seed of that hit piece with the paper?
Of course, all of this might be considered normal campaign antics. But because it involved people other than the candidates, their actions and comments, it bears some scrutiny. I might have even thought nothing of this, but for Mike’s reaction to something I’d written during his first campaign, in 2010, for this Assembly seat.
During that campaign, Mike’s first child was born. As a campaign mailer, he sent a picture of himself, his wife (still in a hospital bed), and their newborn. I had observed that this was tacky and exploitative. Mike was incensed that, as he saw it, I had involved his family in the campaign. Yet he has no problem doing exactly that to someone else. Just another example of his double standards…
You have probably already received your absentee ballot. Make sure to vote, and vote soon, and most importantly, vote for Greg Krikorian so we can be freed of the embarrassment of having Mike Gatto representing the 43rd Assembly district.

We support returning mature leadership to the 43rd AD with a Kirkorian Victory.

Help bring Mature Leadership back to the 43rd Assembly District

As evident above, the "Infant Assemblyman Mike Lil Mikey Gatto" does not approve of this message.
With no apologies to the Gatto Truthers, we call upon the voters of the 43rd Assembly District to replace the tyrannical "Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto", with longtime Glendale School Board Member Greg Kirkorian. Knowing first hand how Mike Gatto treats those that dare oppose his edits, this blogger will endeavor to call upon all within the 43rd AD, to vote for mature representation in Sacramento come November.

The "Howard Dean or Louis Farrakhan" of the Armenian Community  Those are some of the comments that appear on the edited YouTube video which are clearly design to frame 43rd  Assembly District Candidate Greg Kirkorian as some close-minded, rabid Armenian Nationalist. The videos, along with a  Glendale News Press story (a repugnant piece of agenda journalism) on Kirkorian's supposed comments, has created a backlash in the Armenian Community and are causing some to speculate who is behind the twin video smears (if one really needed to guess).
Will Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto denounce these types of ethnic smears against his opponent?
Longtime Burbank and Sierra Club Activist Garen Yegperian (** himself no stranger to smear attacks from the Gatto Truther's "Burbank Blog"), penned theses comments on the videos.
Gatto’s minions (it seems to me he’s pretty good at having others do his dirty work for him) have already sunk into the mud. They have taken parts of one of Greg’s April 24th speeches, thrown up a Youtube page, and are trying to make him seem like an extremist so he loses support. That may sound really inappropriate, abusing Genocide related material, but it gets worse. There’s even a comment posted on Youtube questioning why Greg would mention his candidacy during such a speech. You’ll notice, whoever wrote that is trying to make Greg look bad to the Armenian community as well. What’s most telling is that the video’s posting date and the date that the various commenters’ Youtube accounts were opened are within a week of one another. There’s no doubt in my mind that this is NOT natural, normal, political discourse, but a pre-plotted hatchet job. The behavior is also familiar because of what I and others I know have experienced at Gatto’s hands.
Journalist Peter Musurlian, himself no stranger to the vindictive tactics of Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto, produced this video that takes the Glendale News Press to task for their bit of agenda journalism and notes Yegparian's comments on the video controversy. Further, he covers the Kirkorian's Campaign Kick Off event at the Glendale Hilton. One should also note what former 43rd Assembly Candidate was seen in the audience. Hint, don't expect any secret handshakes in the near future.

Past Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto's "Glendale Political Follies" now morphed into Indictment of supporter John Drayman

Infant Assemblyman Mike Gatto expresses displeasure on indictment of political ally John Drayman.
Indicted former City of Glendale Mayor and City Councilman John Drayman.
In the race for City Council, Rafi Manoukian (who supported Sunder Ramani for Assembly) was the top vote getter follow by David Weaver who edged Gatto's supporter John Drayman by 61 votes for the second and final council seat up for selection. Glendale resident gun-slinger/ FPPC dodger Chahe Keuroghelian, was denied again in his bid for elected office, finishing fourth. Goes to show that a "Gatto handshake" does not correspond into political capital ( maybe more FPPC oversight? Who knows).

...... and you thought losing a election was bad enough for Gatto Supporter John Drayman? Consider this afternoon's story from the LA Times

Former Glendale Councilman John Drayman has been indicted on charges that he embezzled between $304,000 and $880,000 from the weekly farmers market in Montrose. In the indictment filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, prosecutors also allege that Drayman falsified tax returns to hide the embezzlement, which they say occurred between 2004 and 2011.Drayman, who was arraigned on the felony charges at a downtown Los Angeles courtroom, pleaded not guilty to the charges. They include one count of embezzlement, 10 counts of filing false tax returns, five counts of money laundering, three counts of forgery, one count filing a false financial statement and eight counts of perjury by declaration, the Glendale News-Press reported.His bail was set at $200,000.

Looks like Gatto's buddy Drayman has some issues that merit attention, plus on top of the news of layoffs pending because of the demise of Glendale's Redevelopment Department, Glendale voters in the newly reconstituted 43rd Assembly District are likely to ask their Infant Assemblyman, "what have you done for Glendale lately? (or what bad associates have you supported lately?).
