How will Mayor Garcetti Preside over the upcoming "Parade of Storms"?

While Mayor Eric Garcetti was raising his Public Profile via yesterday's ride on the City of Los Angeles Rose Parade Float, an upcoming (and potentially dangerous) "Parade of Storms" will test the Rhodes Scholar/Navy Reservist's Political Mettle.
Is that the Storm Parade in the near future?
** Blogger's Note: LIVE!! From the virtual, cyber newsroom of Mayor Sam ........., we're on "Bloggin Storm Parade Watch, 2016". As the first in a potentially, long parade of El Nino-influenced storms set their sites on Southern California, we will endeavor to provide instantaneous coverage (through our normal politically-centric prism of commentary), especially in regards to how Mayor Eric Garcetti presides in ensuring the safety of all Angelinos. We are eleven years removed from the last major damaging Wet Season (2004-2005) ......, and again, the leadership of a Second Term-seeking Officeholder (James Hahn in 2004) in presiding over weather-related issues, could have profound, future political implications for a likewise, bland (and Soft?) political persona, in current Mayor Eric Garcetti. But unlike then Mayor Hahn, Mayor Garcetti has to account for an exploding city-wide Homeless Crisis, that has propagated the establishment of numerous shanty encampments within water courses. In recent weeks, both Mayor Garcetti and the City Council have been taken to task, regarding their "vacillating resolve" in dealing with the Homeless Crisis. But in the short term, Mayor Garcetti, in concert with Public Safety officials, should take (and declare via a State of Emergency) decisive action, that ensures that LA's water courses, don't become liquid rampages of death ........., and immediately make available shelters for those in need------Scott Johnson.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: Councilman Cedillo against Privately-financed Homeless Shelter in Highland Park Church

As the nights become chilly and a El Nino-influenced Winter nears, Mayor Sam has learned that CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo is opposing a Faith-Based Group-financed Homeless Shelter at the All Saints Church, located at Avenue 56 and Monte Vista Way in Highland Park.
** Blogger's Note: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we have learned that a Faith Based Group-financed 30 Bed Homeless Shelter at the Highland Park All Saints Church (locate at Avenue 56 and Monte Vista) is facing opposition from CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo. Zoning issues are the alleged reason for the Councilman's opposition. If true, Cedillo's would contradict recent Mayor Eric Garcetti and City Council pronouncements which advocate for decisive action in combating LA's growing Homeless Issues. According to our source, the 30 Bed Shelter, which is being funded via a grant from a West LA Faith Base Group, is set open at 4 PM today. The timing of the opening coincides with growing concerns about the proliferation of Homeless Encampments within Flood Control Washes across the city. In recent months, LAPD and various city department have undertaken sweeps along the Arroyo Seco to deal with this situation. Considering that this response from the Faith Based Community is being privately-financed, the actions of the CD 1 City Councilman merit further vetting----Scott Johnson.

Introducing the ........, "AB-109/Prop 47 Mike Feuer Crime Blotter Briefs"

In bloggin tribute to the former Assemblyman Co-author of AB-109 Prison Realignment/Non-Revocable Homeless Parolee Dumping (in Skid Row and neighborhood near you), we present the ........, "AB 109/Prop 47 Mike Feuer Crime Blotter Briefs"
The former Assemblyman, now City Attorney Mike Feuer.
Please pardon this momentary exposure of our bloggin soft side.
Its not often that we bless a new bloggin feature in honor of a upstanding member of the local Political Machine, but as neighborhoods from Sunland-Tujunga, through Skid Row, to San Pedro become "points of re-entry/dumping" for thousands of  "Low Level, Non-Revocable Parolees" (resulting in documented increases in all levels of criminal activities), the resulting impacts has motivated us to create the ..........., "AB-109/Prop 47 Mike Feuer Crime Blotter Briefs".
The "AB-109/Prop 47 Mike Feuer Crime Blotter Briefs" will be a bloggin weekly feature that chronicles former the former Assemblyman, turned City Attorney's contribution to the current "Homeless State of Emergency" his co-authoring of legislation that made possible the dumping of "Low Level, Non-Revocable Parolees" in places such as Skid Row and elsewhere within the City of LA.
With no apologies to the "Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street (aka LA Times)", the "Downtown News of Record", was disclosing the adverse ramifications of AB-109 in a Three-Part Missive in 2011 that documented the genesis of increases in criminal activity, which has spread to other neighborhoods, city-wide.
Now in late 2015, a "Downtown News of Record Editorial" again outlines the dual roles AB-109, the more recent Prop 47 decriminalization legislation, has had on the spiking criminal activity and concentration of Homeless (many with Mental Health issues) in Skid Row.
We sincerely hope that City Attorney Feuer will find harden motivation in a rare momentary, bloggin moment of softness, while in the weeks ahead, our cyber audience is presented with the reality of a "Deadly Failure of Public Policy" that requires a harden resolve to rectify.

Clowncilman Fuentes Ousts STNC, Day 2: "Its About the Homeless (allegedly)"

On "Clowncilman Fuentes Ousts STNC, Day 2", the "Mini Padilla" of the Northeast San Fernando Valley Democratic Political Machine, cites need for space to deal with area Homeless Issues (allegedly) as reason for Ousting the Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council (STNC).
CD 7 Clowncilman "Mini Padilla" Fuentes:  "Maybe the LAFH Apartments on Day Street might have a meeting space for the STNC?"
On Day 2 of "Clowncilman Fuentes Oust STNC", its become apparent that the City of Los Angeles "Homeless State of Emergency" and the resulting local actions of CD 7 City Councilman Central Committee Member Felipe "Mini Padilla" Fuentes, played a role in the booting of the STNC from its longtime meeting space in Tujunga.
Constituents received the following email in recent days from their Clowncilman, stating the following .........,
LEGISLATIVE ACTION
Bringing more services to
Council District Seven
Since taking office, more than two years ago, we have witnessed a growing need to provide more services to address homelessness in our communities. I've made it a priority to partner with social services agencies, such as Los Angeles Family Housing (LAFH), to provide resources and shelter for our local homeless population. In fact, I'm working to bring more services to Council District Seven. Recently, the City Council approved my motion to begin negotiations to provide space at the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood City Hall. LAFH provides various resources such as outreach and assessment, housing location and placement, case management, job training and employment services, child care and tutoring, continuing education services, financial literacy, onsite primary and behavioral health care and more. By partnering with LA Family Housing, we are responding to the growing need for services from the chronically homeless individuals. We are tackling this city-wide issue with the end goal is to ensure EVERYONE in the community is safe and receives the services they need and deserve.
OK, but did the same Los Angeles Family Housing Organization just complete building a Homeless Apartment Complex on Day Street, to house the area's chronic homeless population?
The LAFH Day Street Apartments.
In a ideal world, one would think that a Non-Profit built, living facility would have administrative infrastructure in place, to provide services that will possibly be replicated at the proposed Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood City Hall location.
But then the likes of Clowncilman "Mini Padilla" Fuentes and his Northeast San Fernando Valley Democratic Machine cohorts, would not be the types to let a City Hall-manufacturer "Homeless State of Emergency Crisis", go to waste in enacting political pay-back.

Morning Briefs on a Homeless State of Emergency for Wednesday

We are on a bloggin mobilization as the "Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee" (with the support of "Mayor Eric Gar-Soft-ee"), declares a "Homeless State of Emergency", with a supposed, fiscal arsenal of $100 Million dollars pledged, to combat LA's latest self-inflicted policy crisis.
We are on bloggin "Homeless State of Emergency Watch, Day 2".
When failed public policies such as the former Assemblyman (now City Attorney) Mike Feuer's co-authored AB-109 Prison Realignment impacts Skid Row ..........,
** Blogger's Note: With a bow to urgency, we commence our bloggin mobilization of descriptive vernacular in response to yesterday's drastic "Homeless State of Emergency Declaration" by the Los Angeles City Clowncil Central Committee (with support of Mayor Eric Gar-Soft-ee). Years in the making (via favorable year-round climate, Sanctuary City policies, ease of obtaining Entitlement Benefits, the ACLU, the fact that being Homeless is not a crime ......, and with recent help from AB-109 Prison Realignment), the Clowncil Central Committee's actions can be best describe as a policy action, devoid of a end goal. But what is clear from the streets of San Pedro, vacant Veterans Administration property in West LA , the concrete bottom lands of the Arroyo Seco, the side avenues of Venice, a expensive hilltop in El Sereno, the washes of Sunland-Tujunga ........., and back to a germ/disease-laden Skid Row, LA has a public policy failure of its own creation, that has acute health ramifications for all. Below, we link to pertinent missives and commentaries that highlight the magnitude of progressive policies gone wild ........, and its impact beyond the once-managed enclave of Skid Row---Scott Johnson.
** From 2011, via the Downtown News Three Part Series ......., "State Prison Shift Puts Skid Row at Risk" .........., and since then, the spike in the crime rate has validated those concerns.
** From two days ago, via the LA Weekly ........., "Union Rescue Mission CEO Will Never Walk Again Thanks To Bacteria Crawling On Skid Row" ........, and where do these uber-strains of bacteria originate?
** From last May, via KPPC .........., "Visiting the Arroyo Seco Homeless Camps" ...........and what percentage of the Arroyo Seco Homeless Population were recent inmates dumped back on the streets due to AB-109 and Prop 49?
** From August via the Daily Breeze ........, "Homeless Issue Rolls On as Tiny Houses are moved off a San Pedro street" ........, note the pro-active approach of CD 15 City Councilman Joe Buscaino.
** From August, via US Senator Dianne Feinstein ........., "Feinstein, Boxer and Lieu Urge Veterans Affairs Committee To Support West LA VA Housing Plan" ......., and why has it taken so many years for this to move forward?
** From November of 2013 via "The Foothills, Observed" by Michael Higby ..........., "Latest Homeless Violence Incident at Sunland McDonalds Shows S-T Residents Have Had Enough of Flawed Homeless Policy" ........., and this two days ago via Barry Ira Geller via the same blog ........, Homeless man, found face down in a bathroom at LAX Airport? Where is he now? Two days ago was sent to New Vista Nursing home, on Fenwick street across from the park. What? What? I discovered this yesterday on visiting my LCC Reverend friend, Ed Correll. No one there can figure out why this man was sent here, 40 miles away! Anyone else except the Record and the STNC (who already are in denial) want to deny homeless are being sent to our town??? Maybe some "reporter" who knows how to get the facts (rather than their own agenda) care to check into this? Or does it not matter at all?
.........., the issue of Homelessness migrates to other areas such as CD-14 El Sereno Elephant Hill.
Your thoughts ..............
