New Request for Judicial Notice submitted in 2012 City of Los Angeles Redistricting Lawsuit

Attorneys for the Plaintiffs in the litigious 2012 City of Los Angeles Redistricting Lawsuit, have filed a Request for Judicial Notice regarding a similar State of Virginia Redistricting Case, that prompted a Three Judge Panel to order a redrawing of unconstitutionally-drawn political boundaries.    

 The Los Angeles African and Korean-American Communities, along with supporters of a fair Redistricting Process, await the decision of United States Federal Court Judge Consuelo Marshall on whether the "Backroom, Racially-motivated Dealings" of the 2012 Redistricting Process, will go to Trial.

Morning Brief on a Fraudulent (now litigious) 2012 Redistricting Scheme for Monday

For those with short-term political memories, the fraudulent (now litigious) 2012 City of Los Angeles Redistricting Controversy, is still alive and well for the African and Korean American Communities on the eve of a major hearing in Federal Court. 

The Korean American Community continues its fight for Justice against the backroom dealings that denied fair representation for 15% of the City of Los Angeles Population.

The backroom,, political, self-enriching actions of Jose "Thelma Huizar" and Herman "Louise Wesson" nears its judicial plunge off the ethical cliff.

Plaintiffs for the African and Korean American Communities, continue their quest for legal redress in seeking to overturn the injustice that was the backroom-conceived 2012 Redistricting Commission process, that in part, brought Downtown LA and Koreatown (nefarious?) political riches for City Clowncil Central Committee Soulmates Jose "Thelma Huizar" and Herman "Louise Wesson" respectively. If what City Council President Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson is telling the African-American Clergy in the video clip above is true, somewhere, in a undisclosed backroom, the twelve other members of the city council along with Wesson, decided that for you without your input.

Its clear in this clip that Redistricting 2012 was not just about redrawing council district boundaries to ensure that the many City of Los Angeles ethnic enclaves were guarantee an inclusive voice at City Hall. More important was the need to divide the economic spoils among the power brokers in the backroom dealings that have become to symbolize Redistricting 2012.

...... and if you believe the speculation of some in the Korean American Community, maybe another reason why CD 10 now includes parts of the Crenshaw Mall and Marlton Square is that Council President Mini Amin Wesson has "innovated techniques" to create revenue streams to sustain his political agenda, as the video below will attest to?

Mayor Sam Exclusive: Korean American Coalition to file suit against City of LA over Redistricting 2012 on Tuesday

 ** In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we have learned that a Korean-American Coalition will file suit on Tuesday seeking to overturn the boundaries approved during the just completed controversial Redistricting 2012 proceedings. Asian American make up more than 15% of the City of Los Angeles population but no asians have served on the City Council since Mike Woo. We can also report that this lawsuit will not be the only one forthcomingin the days ahead---Scott Johnson

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa last month quietly released a proposal that would require nearly every new housing project in Los Angeles, including privately financed developments, to contain some affordable units. As the effort progresses, few outside city government are satisfied.

The so-called Mixed-Income Housing Policy is still a work in progress, but has already caused sharp division among the handful of business, development and housing advocates who have seen it. Some say it could further hamper an industry already suffering from the nationwide credit crunch, while others say the affordable housing moves do not go far enough.

KOREANS CALL VILLARAIGOSA ON CONSULATE CAPER: Recent Korean-language media reports had South Korean consul general Jae Soo Kim saying that his government is pulling out of a proposed partnership with the city on the so-called “Super Block” development. The plan called for a number of Korean-related government, business and cultural offices in the area around the Asian nation’s local consulate at Wilshire & New Hampshire. Sources say that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa made a big splash about the proposed project at a press conference during his trip to Asia a couple of years back, taking the locals by surprise with grand ideas and assurances of the city’s involvement. Wags in K-Town say that too little has happened to back up the initial talk in the eyes of South Korean government officials, adding that Hizzoner has lost some credibility on the other side of the Pacific Rim…

****From Orlov at the "Moldy Green Sheet", Will Ace allow Parke and Mike to partake in his latest "act of deception" on the behalf of Mayor Villaraigosa??

The mayor and other supporters of Measure R will meet this week to hammer out the plans for the campaign on behalf of the Nov. 4 ballot measure that would increase the sales tax by a half-percent to pay for transit programs.

It is expected to be a multimillion-dollar campaign, but fundraising is hampered by the fact that Villaraigosa and any other member of the MTA board cannot be directly involved in raising money.

Under state law, any contribution of more than $25 prohibits officials from voting on contracts involving donors.

One thing that has been decided is the mayor's political team, which will be headed by Ace Smith
