2008 letter to Counciman Huizar from Supervisor Gloria Molina. What has change since 2008?

Letter from State Senator Gloria Romero regarding the illegal housing of Sex Offenders in El Sereno.

Rally on November 13, 2010 to demand action and firing of Maria Franco.
What issues will the voters in CD 14 use to gauge whether current Councilman Huizar, is worthy of four more years as their councilman?
For many in El Sereno, his leadership or lack of, regarding the illegal housing of sex offenders, will be the defining issue whether to support him in 2011. And judging by the numbers given to the LA-32 Neighborhood Council at its October meeting, he is in trouble.
In 2008, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina advised Councilman Huizar to act on the information cited in her letter. As of October 6, 2010, what has transpired since 2008 when State Senator Gloria Romero reported some 50 Sex Offenders in El Sereno? Well the number is now 67 Sex Offenders.
Simply, nearly one out of every ten sex offenders under LAPD supervision, is relocated within the 90032 zip code, the most by far in the LAPD area of responsibility. For many, this has become the breaking point as they are angry that their community, is being illegally burdened with a disapportionate amount of sex offenders.
Thus, a rally is plan for November 13, 2010, to demand that those responsible for this illegal housing of sex offenders, be held accountable and terminated, that includes Region 3 Parole Chief Deputy Maria Franco.
..... and what will Councilman Huizar be doing that day? Having a prior-planned block party to celebrate the completion of the new Valley Blvd. Overpass. maybe he should change his priorities for that day?
Your thoughts..............
