Its Official!! Lets the 2017 Runoff Cedillo Campaign Commences ......

ITS OFFICIAL!! The FINAL tally of ballots via Council District One (CD-1) voters, have Incumbent City Councilman Gil (now "Runoff Cedillo") facing Second Place Challenger Joe Bray-Ali in a May General Election (with the help of Giovanni Hernandez, Jesse Rosas and a certain "Write-In Candidate").
With the help of Rolando "The Big O(ooops)" Cuevas we present CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Runoff Cedillo".
** Blogger's Notes: Its the early Evening of March 20, 2017 ............ and contrary to earlier remarks, CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Runoff (again) Cedillo", HAS NOT been re-elected to another term as Developer Geoff Palmer's enabling Officeholder. The final tally of the votes had the embattled Incumbent garnering 49.3% of the votes, with NOW, May Runoff Challenger Joe Bray-Ali placing second with 38%, followed by Giovanni Hernandez and Jesse Rosas respectively. While the likes of the LA Times (who endorsed Bray-Ali) is effusive with praise over the March Results, the pending May Runoff may prove victorious again for Cedillo (via his expected monetary advantage), if the "CHIEF OF STAFF" of the Bray-Ali Campaign, is not more inclusive/inviting of those (especially Latinos y Latinas) who can GREATLY help the political upstart defeat Cedillo in May----Scott Johnson.
Charge "Runoff Cedillo's" Plate of Crow to his pending May Campaign Account.
A Special Message from CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar on "Runoff Cedillo's" second consecutive May Election Campaign.

** Blogger's Notes: Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez, along with embattled CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo, may be the recipient of a "Political Bern", inflicted by the NOW, Progressive Union of upstart Candidates Arturo Carmona and Joe Bray-Ali respectively. The Progressive Duo just announced their new "Progressive Political Union" this afternoon via a video upload. Pending the final count of the remaining CD-1 Ballots on Friday, this "strategic union" could have a profound, mutualistic impact on both campaigns, especially in regards to Grass Roots support on the ground level----Scott Johnson.

A CD-1 Election Pause (?) Update for Monday 3-14-17

With a thousand ballots left to be counted, Incumbent CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo is in SERIOUS danger of facing challenger Joe-Bray-Ali in a May Runoff as the current vote count drops the current Officeholder under the 50%, plus one threshold (49.51%).
CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo.
** Blogger's Notes: A bloggin, political cliche ..........., EVERY VOTE COUNTS!! With supposedly a thousand ballots left to be counted, CD-1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo and second place Challenger Joe Bray-Ali surely know as of today, that the difference between Outright Victory and a May Runoff will be decided by a SMALL margin, the current tally below.
Gil Cedillo 9,459 Votes, 49.51%.
Joe Bray-Ali 7,288 Votes, 38.14%.
Giovanni Hernandez 1,572 Votes, 8.23%
Jesse Rosas 788 Votes, 4.12%.
With the count of the remaining votes, the Incumbent must overcome an 189 votes margin (plus one) to win re-election outright ..........,PLUS, offset whatever the WRITE-IN Vote total is for Luca Barton.
To be continued on Friday----Scott Johnson.

A CD-1 Election Pause (?) Update

We are on "CD 1 Election Pause (?) Watch" as representatives of Incumbent Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo", challenger Joe Bray-Ali and other observers converge on the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder Office in Norwalk, to WITNESS the count of unprocessed Absentee, Provisional and WRITE-IN Ballots, that may result in a campaign-continuing, May Runoff.
Will discerning CD-1 Observers uncover potential Voter Fraud meriting a Formal Investigation?
** Blogger's Notes: We are on blogging, CD 1 Election Pause (?) Watch as the count of unprocessed Absentee, Provisional and WRITE-IN Ballots commenced this morning at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder Election Division Office in Norwalk. Currently, the Incumbent CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo" has an 123 Votes buffer preventing a May Runoff. That stated, the Campaign of challenger Joe Bray-Ali released the following Statement regarding the unprocessed ballots.

The final votes have not been counted in the race in #LACD1. The Clerk’s office still has provisional, vote by mail, and write-in ballots to count. When the final votes are counted by Friday it will be revealed a majority of the district have voiced their discontentment with our current representation. As we await the final tally of votes, I'll continue to reach out to voters, knock on doors, and engage the community.

Normally in close elections, late-arriving Absentee and Provisional Ballots are the focus the affected Campaigns that said, this election is unique because of the POTENTIAL impact of Approved, Write-In Candidate Luca Barton.

Barton in a phone conversation, is confident that he garnered 100-plus Votes and was going to be in attendance at this morning's process of ballots in Norwalk.

Meanwhile, the embattled Incumbent was NONE, too-graceful in his Election Night Comments as noted below.

“The people (less than 5,000 voters) of this district and this city stood up for themselves, they manifested their own future, they made a statement to the city they weren’t going to buy some flippant, trendy, hippy, hipster … agenda,” Cedillo said, in an obvious dig at Bray-Ali. “But they were going to be traditional, they were going to acknowledge their realities, they were going to respect their circumstances and they were going to vote for themselves.”

........, and a MAJORITY, may have responded CHALE CON CEDILLO!! More updates coming----Scott Johnson.

Will unprocessed Absentee, Provisional and WRITE-IN Ballots, help challenger Joe-Bray-Ali breech a 123 Votes Barrier to a May Runoff?

The Morning After ........., Municipal Election Day, 2017 Notes

Its the MORNING AFTER another abysmal voter turnout for LA Municipal Election Day 2017 which saw $10 Million dollars in Special Interest Money defeat Measure S, Mayor Eric "Gar-SOFT-ee" garnering 80% support for a Second Term ..........,,, and CD 1 City Councilman Gil "50.9% Cedillo" awaits a FINAL count of outstanding ballots in seeking to avoid a May Runoff against Joe Bray-Ali.
Coming SOON to a SOLD OUT LA Neighborhood.
** Blogger's Notes: DISCLAI-(YAWN!!)-MER ......... thanks to the LA County Register Record's Election Division SLOOOOOOOW count of the ballots last night, we attempt to multi-task our MORNING AFTER musings, in a SLEEP-DEPRIVED state. That said, its right to keyboard that an abysmal, small (11%) electorate (minus 49.1% of CD 1 voters) did the repeat bidding of the Establishment, in returning the current anointed incumbents to another Term of servicing the Special Interests and deny communal protection in rejecting Measure S. More details below throughout the day----Scott Johnson.

Its ....., LA MUNICIPAL ELECTION DAY 2017!! Zzzzzzz ......

Its Municipal Election Day 2017 as the City Hall Establishment (with Propaganda help from the LA Times) seeks to beat back needed Development/Planning Reform via "YES ON MEASURE S", with a certain "Second Term-seeking MIA Mayor Gar-SOFT-ee" hoping for a resounding Re-election Victory. ** Plus some Election endorsements (or not) on specific Races.
A corrupting configuration threatens to engulf City Hall.
Still missing ....... along with current Crime Stats.
** Blogger's Notes: Its a BEAUTIFUL morning to start LA Municipal Election Day 2017 ....., and well, does ANYONE care? In areas such as CD-9, CD-5, CD-7 ......, and especially CD-1, the rebellion against the 200 Spring Street Establishment, could likely continue on to a replay in May. Less likely, would be a Mayoral Campaign Runoff where Second Term-seeking Mayor Eric Gar-SOFT-ee (or was it a 2009 Tony Villar Replay?), was MIA in defending his RECORD (or lack of) in any of the Candidate Debates/Forums. BUT, by far the MOST important item on today's Ballot is Measure S, which the City Hall Establishment (and LA Times), has spent MEGA-money in defeating. As always, we implore EVERYONE register to vote (not by Larry "Nativo" Lopez) ......, to exercise their RIGHT to do so----Scott Johnson.

Notes on the Pre-Municipal Election 2017 Scorecard for Sunday

With two days before Tuesday's Los Angeles Municipal Elections, discerning CD-7 Observers (and Mayor Sam) are QUESTIONING embattled Candidate "Big Oil (and Gas) Monica" Rodriguez's veracity, regarding whether City Council (and supposed NEUTRAL CD-7 Caretaker)  President Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson formally ENDORSED her Campaign. ** Plus notes on "John/Jay Handal", Measure S, CD-5, CD-9, and the latest Mayor's Race Poll
Los Angeles City Council President Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson.
** Blogger's Notes: With respects, and in remembrance of the late, great LA Times Sports Writer Allan "Mud" Malamud, its time for our "Notes on the Pre-Municipal Elections 2017 Scorecard" as 35 hours and 56 minutes (7:04 PM on Sunday evening) remains before the opening of Polling Places on Tuesday----Scott Johnson.
** Did HE ......, or did HE not? That is the question directed at embattled CD-7 City Council Candidate Monica Rodriguez .......... and City Council President Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson regarding a supposed ENDORSEMENT of "BIG OIL (and GAS) Monica" by the current (and alleged Neutral) Caretaker of CD-7.
** Surveys says Mayor Eric Gar-SOFT-ee 50%, President Donald Trump 53%. Its true that Second Term-seeking MIA Mayor Gar-SOFT-ee, garnered ONLY 50% support of potential voters in a Loyola Marymount University Mayoral Election Poll (with close to 40% undecided) made public late last week ............. while President Donald J. Trump netted a 53% Approval Rating in the latest Rasmussen Survey.
** Identical Political Twins (with the same ethically-challenged, UBER-ego persona):
First, Jay Handal of the West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council and SHILL for the "NO on Measure S Campaign" who's ..............,

In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, a review of the Official Schedule belonging to former Board Of Public Works Vice-President Monica Rodriguez, reveals serious ETHICAL questions regarding whether she use her PAID position (and taxpayer resources) to ENGAGE future supporters and campaign staff, of her current CD 7 City Council Campaign.
Then Board of Public Works Vice-President Monica Rodriguez addressing, NOW potential supporters of her current CD-7 City Council Campaign.
** Blogger's Note: A week (and a day) after News Years, 2016, the City of Los Angeles Council District Seven (CD-7), was shaken by a Political Earthquake when then (now Lobbyist) City Councilman Felipe Fuentes announced that he would NOT seek re-election.
The abrupt announcement, follow by now Lobbyist Fuente's resignation in September, opened the political flood gates, unleashing a torrent of candidates, including a previous CD-7 Candidate Monica Rodriguez,  who's access to both private and TAXPAYER's resources, is the subject of a Mayor Sam Exclusive, regarding the alleged, ethically-challenged use of her former compensated, Board of Public Works Appointment (and resources) ........, in a "PAID to Engage (and seek) Supporters Scheme", benefitting her current CD-7 Campaign.

The following is a blogging (satire) CD-7 Voter Solicitation on the behalf of the Northeast San Fernando Valley Democratic Machine (and Mayor Eric "Gar-SOFT-ee)- anointed Candidate "Big Oil (and Gas) Monica" Rodriguez ............, with financial support from Chevron.
Its "Big Oil Monica" for CD 7.

Councilman (and PLUM Committee Chairperson) Huizar + "enabling Friends" = "Yes on Measure S".

If voters needed just ONE (of many) reason to mark "YES on Measure S" on their ballot, they only have to look at the enabling cabal of CD-14 City Councilman (and PLUM Committee Chairperson) Jose Huizar's "FRIENDS" ..........., and the role they play (and get compensated for) in helping Developers garner Approval for community-altering Projects.
"No on Measure S"= continuing RICHES for "Huizar's Friends".
** Blogger's Notes: On this Hump Day (Wednesday) of the week before Election Day, the "Yes on Measure S Campiagn" is "Going Deep" into the "Pay to Develop Fiefdom of CD-14" to highlight one of the MANY reasons for voting "YES on Measure S".

Los Angeles—Today, March 1, The Yes on Measure (S) campaign will hold a press conference with leaders in Boyle Heights to discuss the negative affects of gentrification. The Miami billionaire developers, the Fifteen Group, swooped into Los Angeles in 1998 to transform the Wyvernwood Garden Apartments in Boyle Heights into thousands of luxury housing units. Residence and leaders in the Latino community have been fighting these billionaire developers and the displacement they are threatening, ever since.   Supporters, joining Yes on Measure S include: Leonardo Vilchis, the Executive Director of Union de Vecinosa, leasders from El Comité de la Esperanza and community supporters.
When: Wednesday, March 1 at 11:00amWhere: Mariachi Plaza, Boyle HeightsWho: Yes on Measure S, Leonardo Vilchis, Executive Director of Union de Vecinosa and leaders from El Comité de la Esperanza.

Despite numerous pronouncements from CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar regarding his support for the PRESERVATION of the historic Wyvernwood Complex, the blunt reality for the residents is that the DAY is near (especially if Measure S is defeated) for the Fifteen Group's desire to "upscale" their property ........... and BENEFIT the "FRIENDS of Huizar".
