Outtakes from the "RED SPOT INSTITUTE"

We start off this morning in asking for your prayers for the families of two LAPD SWAT Officers who were shot in a on-going stand off in the San Fernando Valley. KFI is reporting that one officer has died and the other is under going treatment at this time. Times report

In other news.....City Controller Laura Chick gives her post election thoughts about Prop S. One senses that Chick is seeking separation from the deceitful tactics employed by the "Yes for Prop S" campaign.

The "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN" laments the lost of his political soul mate Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez. Commentary aplenty from the likes of Skelton in the "OLD GREY HAG ON SPRING STREET", LA Weekly, and the "BEAT OF THE CITY".

Los Lomas, Griffith Park/Southwest Museum, and a "wetlands" in Boyle Heights?, are environmental issues which will come front and center at City Hall in the weeks ahead.

Daniel Hernandez takes up for the "Bacon around the Hot Dog" vendors.

In closing, we give our "WASTE OF A SPACE AWARD" for the printed word to Times Op-ed writer Patt Morrison. She wasted salary hours of print room guys such as Padgett with her "Rudy for LA Mayor" column.
BREAKING NEWS!!!!
The "RED SPOT INSTITUTE" mourns the news that Mitt Romney is dropping out of the GOP race for the White House. Thus the return to power of the Rockefeller RINOS is realized.

Steve Poizner to support "No on Prop 93" Campaign

In a move that could profoundly impact the Los Angeles and State Political scene. State Insurance Commissioner, Steve Poizner has pledged "MAJOR SUPPORT" to the "No on Prop 93" campaign. Better known as the "Keep Nunez as Speaker Scheme".

Monetary support ($1.5 million + $1.5 million from a DC group), from Multi-millionaire Poizner would help the "No on Prop 93" forces get out their message, helping to blunted the millions being given by "Friends of Nunez and State Senate Leader Dan Perata.

Past financial dealings by both Perata and more recently Nunez will be front and center in this campaign.

Plus there are plenty of questions regarding the strong arm tactics that Nunez use to get this proposition on the February ballot.

Only a thought, but maybe the "BOYD'S", aka the duo holding sway over the Los Angeles County GOP. Can help forge a marriage between the "NO PHONE TAX" coalition and the "NO ON PROP 93" group. Thus ridding us of two dubious schemes of Democratic politics.

More telling if Prop 93 was to go down to defeat. How would the political landscape change locally and on the state level ? Rumors are abound in Sacramento over who would replace Nunez. Pundits predict tough sailing for the Democrats if Prop 93 is defeated.

Further, what would the political future hold for Nunez. Many had speculated a run for Mayor if Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa runs for Governor.

On the Republican side, recent revelations on the antics of Newsome, Villaraigosa, Nunez and Perata give them a chance to regain some semblance of a political footing. But can they put behind their internal bickering to regain some bearing in the State's body politics ?
