Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

As the Los Angeles City Council convenes for its last work week of 2018, rumors are rampant that embattled CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar will tender his resignation by Friday, ending his reign of servicing those who pledge (and pay for) loyalty, to his self-enriching brand of representation.
Is the end near for CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar's (and cronies) reign of servicing (based upon loyalty)?
** Blogger's Notes: Is the end near? With the Los Angeles City Council beginning its last week of 2018 meetings tomorrow (Tuesday), speculation is growing that the embattled Princeton Graduate, turned troubled Politico, will announce his Resignation at the end of business on Friday. A review of Official CD-14 Social Media Mediums, denotes a Missing-In-Action (MIA) Officeholder (along with a certain Communications Director, last seen Tweeting "Coca Puffs" on November 6, with none since). This past weekend, Councilman Huizar was a no show at community events in Hermon, El Sereno and Highland Park, fueling the speculation of his pending demise.
Now Montebello City Councilwoman Angie Jimemez (the formerly Mrs. Gil Cedillo Jr.)
With no apologies to the Machismo Father and Son Duo of CD 1 Councilman Gil and Lil Gil Cedillo Jr., a former Daughter-In-Law/Wife respectively .........., has a new gig. After weeks of counting/harvesting of post-Election Day Ballots, the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office Employee will be certified as the third place finisher for the three available seats on the Montebello City Council. Jimenez unseated Incumbent Art "Perrin" Barajas by THREE votes.
The Fondling Father of the Calizuela Pervycrat Caucus Eric Bauman.
Despite the best efforts from the likes of the Sacramento Dee, the El Segundo Old Gray Collective Hag (no longer on Spring Street) and other assorted Fishwraps of Leftist Propaganda to ignore, the One Party State of Calizuela, has a robust (and growing) new Identity Faction known as ............, the "Pervycrat Caucus". In recent weeks, the ranks of accosting Prevycrats has grown with the ascension of former Calizuela Democrat Party Chairperson Eric Bauman ........., as the Fondling Father of its newest Identity Caucus-----Scott Johnson.

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Thursday

As Los Angeles County Democratic Party Leader Eric Bauman pursues his aspirations of replacing Northern Californian John Burton as the California State Democrat Party Leader, discerning political observers are questioning his lobbying work for "Big Pharma" in seeking to defeat a November Initiative that would cap Drug Prices.
LA County Democratic Party Leader Eric Bauman.
** If anyone needed to see a glaring example why so many local Democrats/Progressives were "Feeling the Bern" in revolting against the "Establishment Cronycrats Political Machine", they need to look no further than LA County Democratic Party Leader Eric Bauman's "Conflicting Fiscal Dealings" ..........., as outed in a recent San Francisco Chronicle Missive.
Bauman, who also is a well-compensated (at $145,000 per year) Senior Adviser to California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, is making BANK via his Consulting Firm "VictoryLand Partners"/Spouse (allegedly)/ his hand-picked County Party Executive Director's work for Big Pharma as the Chronicle noted.
Records on file with the secretary of state’s office show that VictoryLand Partners, a consulting firm registered to Bauman’s home address in North Hollywood, has been paid $12,500 a month since early February to consult with the pharmaceutical industry and its allies that are fighting the measure.Last year, Bauman reported receiving more than $100,000 from VictoryLand Partners, some of it paid by health care interests. VictoryLand was active in the industry’s successful campaign against Proposition 46, the November 2014 ballot measure that would have lifted the cap on damages in medical malpractice lawsuits.

While we can chuckle at this latest example of "Do As I Say, Don't Do As I Do Leadership" from a ranking Democrat Party Official, its interesting to note that this "Teachable Moment (again) in Democratic Political Hypocrisy", originated in a Northern California publication.

Thus, we can assume that there are those in the No.Cal Democratic Party Faction, that do not want to see So. Cal Democrat Bauman, replacing John Burton as the State Democratic Party Chair ......... and when that person is profiting from the same industry that party activists are seeking to place price controls on via an Initiative, then you have the makings of a intra-mural party brawl/blood-letting.

** As the MUCH-anticipated Montebello Calderon Crime Family Corruption Trial came to naught as Brothers Tom and Ron pleaded "Guilty to the Obvious (which remaining silent on others, for now)", we have received information that pre-trial proceedings in the LA County Assessor Office Corruption Trial, featuring John Noguez will begin on July 12.

** we bring you this Bloggin Public Service Announcement on an Important Meeting next Tuesday in Boyle Heights ............, featuring the Los Angeles Police Commission. We will extrapolate more on the numerous sub-plots in a later post, but we STRONGLY encourage the crime-ravaged constituents of the Northeast and Hollenbeck Divisions to attend ............, and DEMAND accountability (especially for a certain CPAB engaging in inappropriate actions)..
Tuesday, June 21 Meeting of LAPD Police Commission at Hollenbeck Middle School.

A "Cease and Desist Order" that "insists on" in the 46th AD Race

Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chairman Eric Bauman (top) and 46th Assembly District Candidate Brian Johnson (below) continue their "war of press releases" over democratic education reform.
No one has cease, charges insists and their is no order in this democratic intra-mural battle in the 46th Assembly District contest.
What started as a "Cease and Desist Order" against the Brian Johnson Campaign by Los Angeles County Democratic Party "Strongman" Eric Bauman has morphed into a intra-mural debate over education reform within the democratic party, that has help define the democratic candidates in this newly drawn democratic district in the Southeast San Fernando Valley.
Bringing you up to date on this intra-mural contest, Eric Bauman sent this salvo in the direction of the Brian Johnson Campaign after their "rapid response retort" to Bauman's initial "Cease and Desist Order" which we cut and paste below.
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chair and California Democratic Party Vice Chair Eric C. Bauman released the following statement in response to the Democrats for Education Reform’s statement on LACDP’s cease and desist letter:“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party has always worked side-by-side with teachers and educators to stand up and fight to improve public education for our students.“However, no organization or person, including the so-called ‘Democrats for Education Reform,’ is above the law and they may not buck the statutory requirements set forth in law. We are surprised at former State Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero’s comments. As a former Senate Majority Leader, she is fully aware of the requirements of California’s Elections Code and campaign finance laws.“Third party groups, such as EdVoice, that deceive voters with independent expenditures to promote and insinuate the purported support of Democratic-sounding groups like DFER, while being funded by Republicans and conservative organizations, serve only to mislead voters and distort truth.“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party stands behind our cease and desist letter and looks forward to the Democrats for Education Reform’s prompt compliance with its legal obligations as set forth in the provisions of the California Elections Code.”

Memo to the California Republican Party, this intra-mural dust up in the 46th Assembly District campaign proceedings, is what the state GOP should be exploiting in crafting an inclusive new message that positions the GOP as the educational reform party in the Golden State.

But meanwhile for this blogger, the 46th is turning into the mother lode of bloggin content as we near Primary Election Day in June and to the contesting parties we state, "campaign onwards!"
