But we would advise the employees in question, that it would be good for their respective health (and ethical standing), to park in a location, a little further away .........., and not in a Designated, Disable Parking Spot-----Scott Johnson.

 Its time to DENOUNCE the pandering hypocrisy of LA County Board of Supervisors Sheila Kuehl and Hilda Solis, who continue to engage in "Trumped-up Fear-mongering", while remaining SILENT regarding recent documented Acts of Hate and repugnant attempts of Cultural/Ethnic Cleansing ....., by a certain, "Non-White Racial Group".

** Blogger's Notes: On this Friday the 13th before the Inauguration of a certain Republican President-Elect next week, LA County Board of Supervisors Hilda Solis, Sheila Kuehl (aka. "Minister of Propaganda Zelda Goebbels"), in cooperation with certain organizations have issued a Directive to be on the watch for a rise in Hate Crimes (via "Jock-booted Trumpsters"?). Indeed, 2015 saw a rise in Hate Crimes in Los Angeles County with African-Americans being targeted in 58% of the cases according to the Daily News. But while Supervisor Solis and the "Minister of Propaganda Zelda Goebbels", engage in "Trumped-Up Fear-mongering", with insinuations that the Campaign rhetoric of President-Elect Trump is the reason for the rise in Acts of Hate, the TRUE facts, as documented below, are that a certain, "Non White Racial Group" is the responsible party-----Scott Johnson.

From Highland Park, through Elysian Valley, to Boyle Heights, the alleged ramifications of Gentrification has motivated passionate discussions regarding the future "identity" of communities. In Boyle Heights, the Push Back against Communal Change has devolved into overt Acts of Racial Targeting as the picture above documents, LAPD is currently investigating the explicated content as a Hate Crime.

Former East Los Angeles Community Corporation (ELACC) Co-founder, NOW Congressional Candidate Maria Cabildo was expose for her "thoughts" regarding the fence pictured above. The gentrification fence is very horizontal, ubiquitous in Echo Park, but a new comer to #boyleheights I believe that this is the first such fence in #boyleheights. As luck would have it, I drive past it every single day as I travel down … to see my ailing Pops. This fence says, ‘i like the housing stock here but my neighbors are not people I want to interact with (did RACE play a factor?).’ Fences in Boyle Heights are porous.”

Many within the Los Angeles Political Establishment have remain/were SILENT when African-American Families were targets of multiple Firebombing Attacks within the Ramona Gardens Housing Projects. Its been a open secret for decades that Latino Street Gangs and their African-American counterparts, have sought to keep Public Housing segregated in respective areas of control. In 2015, African-Americans where the targets of 58% of all Hate Crimes reported in LA County, mostly via Latino Street Gangs.

We ponder if Supervisor Solis and "Minister of Propaganda Zelda Goebbel's" "Trumped-up Fear-monging" of pending "Jock-booted Trumpster Hate Crimes", would mirrored what has TAKEN PLACE in Boyle Heights where street protests sought to intimidate Art Gallery Owners (and Whites), with chants of "GET THE FUCK OUT OF BOYLE HEIGHTS". We dare say if a "White Mob" was marching in a Latino Neighborhood, chanting and racial profiling in seeking to expunge a certain ethnic group, the US Justice Department, FBI, District Attorneys Office ......., along with Supervisors Solis and Kuehl, would be DEMANDING Hate Crime Prosecutions.

According to sources, Supervisor Solis is working with willing Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), who in return would receive FUTURE FUNDING for choreographing positive public testimony.

** The LA Times is reporting that former LA County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis Chief of Staff Maria Cabildo, is the latest name of interest, considering joining the crowded field of candidates, seeking to replace Congressman Xavier Becerra.

** Blogger's Note: In a Mayor Sam Exclusive, we disclose via photos posted below of a PRIVATE meeting orchestrated by public/private tandem of LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis and the University of Southern California (USC) at the former General Hospital (now Wellness Center), regarding USC's ambitious Biotech Corridor plans. 

For the Record, the Mayor Sam Blog received a tip regarding this meeting and ATTEMPTED to partake in observing the proceedings ........., but was told by a staff member (Nick Moghadassi) of The Wellness Center that this was a PRIVATE EVENT. Thus, this blogger/community stakeholder was politely TOLD to leave.

This Act of Excluding Stakeholders (and a discerning Media) runs contrary to a previous pronouncement from Supervisor Solis regarding the need of USC to embrace the Greater Community in Dialog regarding their Biotech Corridor ambitions. 

Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis on February 26 called on the University of Southern California to embrace and support community residents as it moves forward with plans to build a biotech research park at its Health Sciences campus, adjacent to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. To be successful, USC must design its research park to ensure “people are invited to come down the hill, or across the freeway or even from the other side of town” to work or study at the campus, Supervisor Solis said. 

We would like to give the benefit of the doubt that Supervisor Solis is true to her words regarding USC' need "to embrace and support community residents (not just those supportive enablers being offered Trojan largess, allegedly), but in witnessing ysterday's proceedings (before our expulsion), the words above smack of empty, meaningless verbiage, considering the exclusiveness of those invited ........., who included the following;

Former LA-32 Neighborhood Council President Marleen Fonseca (formerly Caudillo): Fonseca (formerly Caudillo), who's ethically/character-challenged proclivities have been well documented, recently attempted to block a successful LA-32 Motion, supporting a $250,000 Grant via former Supervisor Gloria Molina, for Tree Planting/Youth Vocational Training at Hazard Park.

Legacy LA supporters: In attendance were the Ramona Gardens supporters of Legacy LA who had the dubious distinctions of being expose of misusing Public Funds (ie. writing checks to self) and supporting Liquor Licenses for 7 Eleven.

Ray and Ruth Rios of the Hazard Park Preservation Committee: The Husband (when not engaging in physical altercations) and Wife Duo (who are also members of the Hillside Village Property Owners Association), have fail to contact their fellow committee members (including this blogger for the record) about their involvement in these PRIVATE proceedings, while enabling the political agenda of CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar (and condoning USC's past actions) .

While we are not surprise that the "University of Scandalous Conduct" would seek out those within the community with past episodes of ethical/character-challenged behavior, we must question whether the supposed environmental and working class advocate Supervisor Solis, is a willing partner in associating with those (including USC), who's past actions have had an adverse impact on the greater community, in supporting a project that will have a potential, profound future impact on ALL stakeholders/neighbors surrounding the proposed, Biotech Corridor Project Area?-----Scott Johnson.

Another Broken Deal Cedillo (and Supervisor Solis) Moment regarding the Flat Top Open Space Acquisition?

In her first Public Policy-related appearance since the 2015 CD 14 City Council Elections, former LA County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina, is taking a leadership role, in demanding that CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo and LA County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis, follow through on her crafted deal that financed the purchase of the Montecito Heights "Flat Top Open Space", with the intent of giving the land to the City of Los Angeles Recreation & Parks Department (and not Joe Edmiston's "Mountain Recreation, Conservation Authority").

** Blogger's Note: For those who thought that former LA County Board of Supervisor (and CD 14 City Council Candidate) Gloria Molina, would trek quietly off into the political sunset after her unsuccessful campaign for the CD 14 City Council Seat last Spring .........,, there is no quiet in the trail-blazing Latina Politico's vocabulary.

In her first appearance regarding a public policy issue since last Spring, the former LA County Board of Supervisor (and CD 1 City Councilperson), demanded that CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo and her replacement Hilda Solis, stand by the LA County-approved purchase of the Montecito/Lincoln Heights "Flat Top Open Space".

The acquisition of the Flat Top Open Space acreage, was a supposed culmination of a multi-years effort by Montecito Heights Improvement Association President and Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Member Roy Payan, to preserve the community-renowned locale, with a superb view of the Downtown LA Skyline (especially at night), by being designated Open Space ........, as noted via The Eastsider in the Fall of 2014.

The purchase of about 37 acres is expected to be completed next month, said Megan Moret, press deputy for County Supervisor Gloria Molina, who agreed to use her office’s allocation of Prop A funds to finance the deal. The funds will allow North East Trees, an environmental group,  to purchase the property but the City of Los Angeles will eventually take control of the property, Moret said. 

........, or so they thought.

But in a meeting of the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Montecito Heights Issues Committee, Payan, with former Supervisor Molina concuring, stated that Northeast Trees was reneging on its plans to turn the land over to the City of Los Angeles Recreation & Parks ......., and instead, was planning to give the acreage to the controversial Joe Edminston-controlled, Mountain Recreation, Conservation Authority (MCRA), with the support of CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo, along with LA County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis.

Edmiston, a former East Los Angeles College Student, Sierra Club Lobbyist and self-created Chief Ranger (with gun) of his own Open Space Preserve/Land Bank Fiefdom via the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy/MRCA, has longed craved adding Northeast LA acreage (including Flat Top) to his control. 

Yet, the supposed master of crafting deals to purchase property for Open Space Preservation, has garnered a Tsunami-size backlash from many preservation advocates (including Supervisor Molina), regarding his "surprise support" of Oil Drilling within the Proposition A-financed Whittier Hills Preserve as noted in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

However, MRCA, the operational arm of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, the largest conservancy in the nation, surprised the county by saying it would drop its lawsuit in exchange for cash. If the drilling project moves forward and oil is extracted and sold, MRCA would get $280 million, or about $11.25 million a year for the life of the project.  

Thus, is it fair to ponder whether "Ranger Joe" is scheming to "Land Bank" the prime real estate of Flat Top, until the market presents the best opportunity to sell off the acreage to a Developer?

In the interim, the paramount question that needs answering by the likes of Northeast Trees Executive Director Mark Kenyon (Husband of former Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Board Member Clare Marter Kenyon), CD 1 City Councilman Gil "Chevron" Cedillo and LA County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis, is why they are attempting to modify a much-wanted act of Open Space Preservation, that would of added a new preserve jewel to the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department ........., and instead, place a beloved community locale, in the trust of a self-made Land Bank Baron, not beyond exploiting (and scaring) the same Open Space, supposedly being preserved?

FLAT TOP OPEN SPACE: MOTION: The ASNC Board moves to send letters to Councilman Gil Cedillo and Supervisor Hilda Solis in support of the community’s wishes that Northeast Trees adhere to the purchase agreement’s original intent as adopted by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on September 30, 2014 that the “City of Los Angeles will ultimately be the owner of the property and the and the successor to the grant obligations” among other points. For residents within the business-friendly enclave, the Casino's contribution to the General Fund (about 40% of yearly operating revenue), equates to a high quality of civic services, investments in infrastructure ........, and for those elected to the Commerce City Council who maintain that relationship, they can count on some contribution love at Election Time.
