Liberals, Galtazan and Home Depot
If you're interested in the fate of liberalism, then the Valley Grassroots for Democracy Book Club has something right up your alley: a discussion with the guy who literally wrote the book on the subject; school board member Tamar Galatzan's chief of staff Tom Waldman, author of Not Much Left: The Fate of Liberalism in America. If you attend the event - this Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the State Office Building you might want to ask Tom what liberals think of a school board member who has yet to speak out on the environmental impact of opening a Home Depot 500 feet from a public school and how his employer is allowing a private corporation to use a public school to shill for their business interest.
You may also want to ask Tom if Ms. Galatzan is consistent in her liberalism in keeping quiet on an issue that her husband - the VICA's Brendan Huffman - is shilling for.
