In lieu of the recent "Brian Hews/Los Chacon News Exclusive" that targets longtime Democratic Staffer/Operative Trent Hager's alleged links to the infamous Ashley Madison Website, we ponder whether the Chief Propagandist of the ethically-challenged Chacon Political Family, was engaging in a "Payback Smear" on behalf of Assemblyman Mike Gatto, Gambling Interests .............., and a certain Central Basin Water District Director?

** Blogger's Note:  AFTERNOON UDATE: Sources tell Mayor Sam that Gambling Interests are gloating over the Hager Hit Piece in the "Brian Hews/Los Chacon News" and are hinting that this was done in response to Assemblyman Adam Grey's AB 2863 Legislation regarding Online Poker----S.J. 

Regular, longtime readers of this blog will surely be familiar with our past musings regarding the political evolution of a formerly, "Stay at Mom's Infant Assemblyman", now soon to be Termed-out Sacramento Legislator Mike Gatto ........., and his cyber-bloggin Gatto Truther Loyalists.  

Yet admittedly , we were remiss in reporting an Official Act/Proclamation in 2013, honoring a former Award-winning, Weekly of Record, authored by the former Silver Lake (or Canyon Drive) residing 43rd Assembly District Officeholder as we excerpt below. 

“HMG-CN’s investigative work revealed a previously unprecedented level of corruption leading to the arrest at least one official now facing 60 felony counts, while reminding other public officials that they are not above the law, and their detailed work and dedication to uphold the law demonstrated the power of investigative journalism and restored faith in disenfranchised members of the public by holding public officials accountable and ensuring an informed populace,” the resolution stated. The Resolution also proclaims: “HMG-CN provided the much-needed voice for the American people and reminded us all that we are responsible for ensuring that our rights are not misrepresented, misconstrued, or taken advantage of.”

Surely, longtime Democratic Operative/Sacramento Staffer Trent Hager would agree with the latter. (and BOLDed part) of the statement, excerpted above, as he faces the repercussions of being the subject matter of another "Exclusive", originating from the keyboard of a supposed, award-winning journalist, as noted below.

A Hews Media Group-Community News exclusive investigation has found that Trent Hager, Chief of Staff to Senator Cathleen Galgiani (D-Stockton CA) and now Adam Gray (D-Merced), paid to contact escorts on the Ashley Madison adultery website and did most of the illicit work while on state time. Hager earns a hefty $141,408 per year according to the Senate.ca.gov website and is married to Janelle Beland, who works for Governor Jerry Brown.

In reviewing the shallow content of this supposed exclusive, we have to question why Brian Hews keyboarded the outing of a Democratic Staffer, who is listed as being the current and former Chief of Staff to Central California-based Officeholders, which would be of nominal interest to his normal readership?

That answer may be predicated in what is now a Propaganda Smear Fishwrap, compare to a former Weekly Newspaper of Record, that was once lauded by for its Investigated Journalism in 2013.

In noting the work history of Hager, Publisher/Editor/Writer/now Propagandist Brian Hews, omitted the FACT that Hager was ALSO the Chief of Staff to former Assemblyman Anthony Portantino, who is the Democratic Candidate for the vacant 25th State Senate District .............., a political office, much-coveted by Termed-out Assemblyman Mike Gatto (a noted antagonist of Portantino).

Thus, its very conceivable that Hews was again, engaging in yet another Act of Journalistic Malpractice, in which the now, "Brian Hews/Los Chacon News", is known for (and paid for in ads or proclamations) in Southeast Los Angeles County.

** There is also speculation that the Hager Hit Piece, also had a link to his former work for past political opponents of current Central Basin Water District Director (and former Assemblyman) Phillip Hawkins .........., who is allied with Art Chacon.
