Notes on the Pasadena Post-2020 Elections Scorecard

The Mayor Sam Sister City News Group presents "Notes on the Pasadena Post-2020 Elections Scorecard", as we preview our pending semi-monthly coverage of issues awaiting incoming Mayor Victor Gordo, who's Union-financed Victory over Incumbent Terry Tornek, will prompt questions regarding the fiscal, racial and ethical future of the City of Roses.

Will incoming Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, truly place the pressing-needs of Working Families paramount over the wishes of his "Brothers and Sisters in Labor", who financed his Victory over Incumbent Terry Tornek?
** Blogger's Notes: Pasadena District Five City Councilman Victor Gordo made history in the recent November Elections with his Victory over Incumbent Mayor Terry Tornek, to become the City of Rose's First Latino Mayoral Officeholder. Gordo, who was born in the Mexican State of Zacatecas (incidentally, the same native Mexican State of Indicted Ex LA City Councilman Jose Huizar), will take office this month, thanks to a big fiscal commitment by the day-time Labor Attorney's fellow "Brothers and Sisters of Labor" ………, with approval from LA County Labor Federation Leader Ron Herrera (and CLOSE confidant, State Senator Maria Elena Durazo). Bluntly, now out-going Mayor Terry Tornek did not have a fiscal chance against Gordo's Labor-financed Campaign, who will surely reap the benefits ...………, but at what cost to Pasadena's fiscal, racial and ethical well-being? In the weeks ahead, the Mayor Sam Sister Cities News Group will continue its missives which chronicles issues of note from our past coverage (noted below), combine with new topics that will surely arise from a pending …….., Mayor Victor Gordo Administration----Scott Johnson.

With the Mayoral Election of Victor Gordo, will Pasadena's First Latino Mayor commit to Open and Transparent Governess, especially in exercising oversight of the actions of City Manager Steve Mermill, who has taken questionable actions against activists of color, protesting his Cannabis Decisions and the removal of African-American Fire Chief Berthal Washington?

A Mayor Victor Gordo Would Divide And Parcel Pasadena ........., Under The Union Label

With the LA County Labor Federation's Approval, a Mayor Victor Gordo Administration would Divide and Parcel Pasadena Interests under the Union Label, with dire ramifications for the Fiscal, Ethical (and Racial?) Health of the Rose City.
No inconvenient Racial Issues will stop Pasadena Mayoral Candidate Victor Gordo from shilling for the desires of his Labor Supporters.

** Blogger's Notes: For Pasadena Residents who have not made their choice in the 2020 Mayoral Election, the choice between retaining a proven Incumbent (in current Mayor Terry Tornek), or voting for Challenger City Councilman Victor Gordo, is easily discernable ………., considering who is seeking to buy the Rose City's Top Office. As reported by Colorado Boulevard.net, Councilman Gordo's (who daylights as a Labor Attorney) Mayoral Campaign, is HEAVILY-financed (as we document below) by Organized Labor, with approval from the LA County Labor Federation ………, and the LA County Democratic Party

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine (and Beyond) for Hump Day

Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek has nominated District 3 City Councilman John J. Kennedy to serve on the Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena Airport Authority, who would become the only African-American to serve on the Board that oversees operations at Hollywood Burbank Airport.
Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek and District 3 City Councilman John J. Kennedy.
** Blogger's Notes: The Mayor Sam Sister City News Group has learned that Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek will nominated District 3 City Councilman John J. Kennedy to serve on the prestigious Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena Airport Authority. The appointment of Councilman Kennedy would  add African-American representation to the oversight entity that is currently made up of eight White Males and a lone Female. Local Political Observers are sure to note that the decision by Mayor Tornek to appoint Councilman Kennedy, will have Ballot Box implications come November as he face a major challenge for re-election from District 5 Councilman Victor Gordo who garnered the most votes in the March Primary. As noted previously, Councilman Gordo was endorsed by the Union which represents Pasadena Firefighters who were supportive of City Manager Steve Mermell's controversial decision to reassign African-American Fire Chief Bertral Washington, in a move met with silence .........., by Mayoral Challenger Victor Gordo.
The Appointment of Councilman Kennedy would add diversity to the Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena Airport Authority.
2020 Mayoral Challenger Victor Gordo endorsed by Pasadena FD Union which advocated for the removal of African-American Fire Chief Bertral Washington.
Libertarian Talk Show Host Larry Elder and Civil Rights Attorney Leo Terrell.
As we edge ever-closer to the November Elections, its becoming apparent that the African-American Vote will play a MAJOR part in determining whether President Donald J. Trump will be elected to a Second Term. That stated, its important to note that former dueling commentators Libertarian Talk Show Host Larry Elder and Civil Rights Attorney/Talk Show Host Leo Terrell ......., are BOTH supporting President Trump. Both Elder and Terrell's support of President Trump, is a microcosm sample of the Second Term-seeking Commander in Chief's growing support among African-Americans, as noted in recent polls. If President Trump garners 20% of the African-American Vote, he WILL be elected to a second Term.
Unmasking Mayor Eric Garcetti's Wuhan Virus Hypocrisy.
Unless you rely exclusively on the "El Segundo Stenographer of Record (formerly LA Times)" for your daily regurgitation of Wuhan Virus Panic Porn, the real news regarding the latest SURGE of positive cases .........., is contrary to the dire pronouncements. As noted by the likes of Alex Berensen, Phil Kerpen, Alicia Smith and locally by Ian Miller,  the numbers of positive cases and deaths have been trending downwards in the last couple of weeks.----Scott Johnson.

Controversial Pasadena City Manager "Reassigns" African-American Fire Chief During Black History Month

On the eve of Pasadena Mayoral and Governing Council Elections, the untimely reassignment of its African-American Fire Chief Bertral Washington by controversial City Manager Steve Mermell, has prompted members of its historic Black Community (and Mayor Terry Tornek) to demand accountability, while Firefighters Union-backed Mayoral Challenger Victor Gordo ........, remains silent.
Was Pasadena City Manager Steve Mermell's most recent controversial action to "reassign" African-American Fire Chief Bertral Washington, a peace offering to its Firefighters Union ......., and its endorsed Mayoral Candidate Victor Gordo?
** Blogger's Notes: A question of poor timing ........ and political purpose. That would surely apply to controversial Pasadena City Manager Steve Mermell, following his untimely "reassignment (during Black History Month)" of African-American Fire Chief Bertral Washington, mere weeks before the "Crown City's" upcoming Mayoral and City Council Elections.
Mermell, who has been the focus of investigative-scrutiny for questionable decision-making regarding Pasadena City Government's selection of Legal Cannabis Vendors, now is under fire for his surprise "City Manger Office Reassignment" of Chief Washington, without consulting the Mayor and City Council, as noted by the Pasadena Star News.

Pasadena Councilman John Kennedy said he may urge his colleagues to replace the city’s top executive, Steve Mermell, over the unexpected reassignment of fire Chief Bertral Washington. The threat came during the public comments portion of Monday night’s City Council meeting, when dozens of black Pasadenans filled council chambers for the second consecutive meeting, calling for answers about the fire chief’s reassignment to a special position in the City Manager’s Office earlier this month.
While City Manager Steve Mermell's timing of Chief Washington's reassignment opens the Blimp Hanger's Doors to rampant speculation regarding the racial connotations of his latest controversial personnel action, its worth noting that Pasadena's Latino Councilman (and Firefighter's Union-backed Mayoral Candidate) Victor Gordo ........., has mostly remain silent on the controversy.

Firefighters Union-endorsed Pasadena Mayoral Candidate Victor Gordo
As the Mayoral Candidate backed by the Los Angeles County Labor Federation, Gordo can be expected to support the Pasadena Firefighters Union's battle, in its apparent longtime feud with the management of Chief Washington, regardless of the racial overtones.

Further, its also worth noting Gordo's "Union Brothers and Sister's Role" in supporting the efforts of Pasadena's Illegal Cannabis, which should prompt Pasadena Voters to question whether a "Mayor Victor Girdo", would be a "Union-crafted Trojan Horse", that would make paramount the interests of Union Power Couple Ron Herrera/Maria Elena Durazo ..........., at the expense to Pasadena's hard fought efforts to combat racial inequality----Scott Johnson.

Pasadena Vice-Mayor Tyron Hampton's call for a Cannabis Application Reboot as a majority of its City Council supports making Public, findings of an Investigation that supposedly clears the Administration of City Manager Steve Mermell, of bias in the selection process.
Pasadena City Manager Steve Mermell's Administration handling of Cannabis Permits, is subject of City Attorney-initiated Investigation, that finds no bias.

** Blogger's Notes: The City of Pasadena Cannabis Legalization Controversy has no shortage of sub-plots, compliments of Vice-Mayor Tyron Hampton and a timely-responsive City Hall Administration under the charge of Steve Mermell.
