Like Mayor Antonio Villar, CD 2 City Councilman Paul Krekorian will seek out media pandering opportunities.

Great Hump Day to all as President Barack “H” Obama stands behind a political human shield of children, in his continuing political exploitation of the Sandy Hook Tragedy.

Locally, CD 2 City Councilman Paul Krekorian has resorted to his usual grandstanding proclivities, in calling for a local ban on ammo for high-capacity weapons (** we should note that Krekorian’s proposal did not come with any glowing endorsements from sock-puppet CD 2 constituents in the Studio City Patch).

We recommend to the current City Clowncil Central Committee Budget Chairperson, that his symbolic acts of media pandering, would be better serve, insuring that some sort of real pension reform, be instituted to safeguard the future integrity of the General Fund, that provides for public safety. As the USC educated Krekorian would agree, the growing pension obligations in the near future, will have an acute high capacity impact on city services, including law enforcement, any intuitive sock puppet could agree with that.

But if Clowncilman Krekorian really wants to concern himself with a “real dangerous, high-capacity issue”, then we recommend that he speak out against his former democratic colleagues in Sacramento, who’s “high-capacity dumping” of supposed “Non-Revocable Parolees/ Low Level, Non Violent Offenders” via the AB 109 Prison Realignment Debacle, has killed the innocent and driven up property crimes city-wide.

After all Clowncilman Krekorian, its not the high-capacity ammo magazine that kills, but the increasing amounts of criminals back on the streets, due to the very real (and deadly) high-capacity dumping of “instruments of crime”, that should concern you.

** We can sound the “all clear” (for now), regarding Clowncilman “Average Joe” Buscaino and Mitch Englander’s scheme to reinvigorate the General Fund with $3-4.5 Billion dollars of supposed street money improvement bonds. But rest assure, this will not go away, unlike the desire for pension reform.

**  Hmmm, this from the Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street, regarding the “University of Scandalous Conduct’s” putting out of the unwelcome mat on its main campus? Maybe the “former Fishwrap of Record” will devout story budget to USC’s outrageous community behavior regarding its Health Science Campus?

** While the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors cried uncle after residents push back on its proposed storm water parcel tax proposal, residents, environmentalists and park advocates should push forward and demand prompt corrected action to repair sensitive green space habitat damage at Hazard Park via the past action of CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar

Mr. Krekorian: Fill Up This Hole!

Councilman Paul Krekorian has no problem filling up column inches with manufactured constituents in a local digital fishwrap; the City seems to not be able to address a dangerous sinkhole in North Hollywood.

Calls to the Councilman's office by locals have yet to be addressed, as the nearly foot deep hole, on Weddington Street in the NoHo Commons section, remains, well, sinking.

The best the City can seem to do is drop a couple rubber cones on it. In the meantime, the risk of someone driving into this remains, as well as the impact it has on traffic as cars pull over to allow passing vehicles to get around it (as well as the possibility of a head-on collision).

We notified the Council Member about this via his Facebook page a few days ago. Yet no response. But we did see what he has been up to.

Appetite for (economic) trouble ..........

As the country nears an Election Day repudiation of President Barack "H" Obama's Big Government/Higher Taxes philosophy, there are still some within the fail state of "Greece on the Pacific", who cling to the  belief that raising taxes, is the only solution to sustain an unaccountable government beast.

Simply, City Clowncil Central Committee President Herb "Mini Amin" Wesson's proposal to raise the cities sale tax by a half cent, will only benefit the economic coffers of cities and counties around Los Angeles, as Angelinos will look to shop in municipalities with lower taxes.

Sadly, Wesson's proposal was all too predictable, considering the Labor/Left stronghold on City Hall. Instead of dealing bluntly with runaway labor costs that are eating away at General Fund expenditures, Mini Amin Wesson and most of his Clowncil Central Committee colleagues will support creating another revenue drain from the wallets of Angelinos, to sustain the unaccountable excesses at 200 N. Spring Street. 

**  Our bloggin colleague and former campaign, errrrrr, CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar Social Media Consultant Ed Headington, continues his forlorn hope of becoming the anglo incarnation of his former boss Assemblyman Gil Cedillo. Headington faces an uphill challenge to beat Scott Wilk for the open seat in the 36th Assembly District.

** The Old Gray, Obama-Loving Hag on Spring Street, has the background on two Democratic Bad Boys in the San Gabriels Valley, who's escapades may lead to Republican pick ups in the Assembly..

** Karma can be a political B-I T-C-H, just ask the Big Billboard pandering duo of CD 1 City Councilman Ed "Billboard Density" Reyes and CD 2 City Councilman Paul "Pandering" Krekorian, who efforts to gain political favors from Big Billboard, has a pending day in court.

Tomorrow (now today), President Obama is expected back in Los Angeles to attend several functions in the area, including a taping of "The Tonight Show" in Burbank. I'd like to welcome the President back to town and let you know that my office has been in close contact with the LAPD and Dept. of Transportation to try and mitigate any inconvenience that may occur. 

It is anticipated that the streets surroundin

g LAX and in the city of Burbank will be most impacted by the President's arrival, slated for around 5:30, and his departure, scheduled for a couple hours later.I've been assured that every effort will be made to minimize the traffic impacts to drivers while the President is traveling through Los Angeles and welcome your thoughts or concerns.

** CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar is calling for a comprehensive review of what constitute a stakeholder in neighborhood council elections. This review comes on the heel of the high turnout in the recent Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council Elections which included allegations of "pot for votes'.

** What a surprise, another fiscal year is near 4 months old and already $16 Million in the red. Thus, City of Los Angeles Budget Guru Miguel Santana, with Mayor Villar's blessing, is calling for 200 plus layoffs. Wondering is any of these proposed layoffs will come from the 115 Mayor's staff?.

** LAPD Chief Charlie Beck outlines his thought process (as dictated by Mayor Villar) when it comes to the department interaction with illegal immigrants.

** The LA Weekly's Gene Maddaus reports on a looming battle between the Office of Mayor Antonio Villar and the Office of City Attorney Carmen Trutanich. 

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa came into office promising to eliminate the city's persistent deficits. And as he heads out the door, having cut 5,000 positions, the deficits are still there.
This week, he sent the city council a memo with some "outside the box" ideas for trimming even further. Among them is a proposal to change the charter to strip the city attorney's power to represent the city in civil court.
We'll get to why that might save money in a second. But first, just take a guess as to who doesn't like this idea at all.
In a statement, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich said, "The Mayor's recycled idea shows a distressing lack of imagination on how to solve the City's problems, and would cost the City at least three times what it is currently paying for legal services."
