Morning Briefs on the "Greece on the Pacific" ( formerly the "Golden State") Election Eve for Monday

With less than 24 hours remaining until the polls open across "Greece on the Pacific" (formerly the "Golden State"), a certain former Mayor Sam Blogger, turned Designated Villar Driver/ Political Campaign Consultant Michael "MEAT/ Chief Parker" Trujillo, is on the receiving end of a campaign slapback.
Hi MEAT!! You can't hide yourself from the political past of your latest client loser Congressional Candidate (and former losing Mayoral Candidate) Wendy "the former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar and Boss D'Arcy Rizzo's Call Greuel".
Hey "MEAT/ Chief Parker", did you not think that the "Call Greuel's" proclivity for accepting money from the dubious likes of former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar's Montebello (CD 14 East) political buddies, was going to become a campaign reality?
On the eve of the 2014 "Greece on the Pacific's" (formerly the "Golden State") Elections tomorrow, a certain former Mayor Sam Blogger, now a less than average Campaign Consultant, is becoming too predictable.
Michael "MEAT/ Chief Parker" Trujillo, who is currently the Campaign Manager for 33rd Congressional Candidate Wendy "the IBEW/ DWP Boss D'Arcy Rizzo Call Greuel", was on the receiving end of some political payback on this last weekend of the campaign to replace Congressman Henry Waxman.
No one should be surprise that the former Villar, Councilman Jose Huizar (until terminated), Hillary Clinton and IBEW/ DWP Measure B shill, would go negative in the hope of inflicting political damage just before Election Day, but the monetary facts above will not help in overcoming the odds of achieving a place in the November Runoff (** as always, "MEAT/ Chief Parker" is welcome to a bloggin reply as he has to Breitbart California).
** Memo to the LA "Weakly of Record" Editor in Chief Sandra Fenske, your vile, repugnant illustration linking Tea Party Activists to the KKK, again highlights falsehoods perpetrated by those in Print Media, in attempting to link conservatives with the racism associated with the allies of National Socialism.
** While the "Weakly of Record" does a "illustration of disservice" to an insightful musing on the Republican Candidates for Governor, its author Gene Maddaus keyboards an objective guide to the candidates, seeking to replace Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca.
** One of the closely-watched statewide races tomorrow will be the Controller Race where the First Cousin of former Failure Mayor Antonio Villar, Assembly Speaker John Perez, is seeking a new office title. An April Poll had Speaker Perez trailing the top Republican and No Cal Collectivist Dependentcrat Betty Yee. The question here is whether Perez's monetary advantage can find him enough support to make the November Runoff.
** As former Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis moves forward (despite a Federal Investigation) in her quest to replace LA County Board of Supervisor Gloria Molina, West Hollywood City Councilman John Duran is seeking to usurp either Bobby Shriver or State Senator Sheila Kuehl, with the high power endorsements of Mayor Eric Garcetti, Supervisor Molina and the Los Angeles Times, in the quest to replace Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky.
** and in closing, we bring you this WMD (Wanton Missive of Distortion) via the keyboard of South LA "Soulvine Columnist" Betty Pleasant regarding her voting proclivities.
My first recommendation in this election (and in all elections) is: In every contest that pits a Democrat against a Republican I recommend that you vote for the Democrat. You must never vote for a Republican (or for anyone who acts and looks like a Republican) unless you are wealthy, selfish, racist, condescending to women, indifferent to children, dismissive of the environment, cruel to animals and steeped in an ideology that will take you straight to hell.
Your thoughts from bloggin hell ..............

Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

Nothing like a little Monday morning 4.4 Earthquake to remind everyone (including the supporters of the Millennium Project) of the seismic hazards associated with development in Los Angeles.
This morning's shaker is located near what fault? Hint, it rhymes with "Bollywood".
Great Monday morning to all as Mother Nature and her Seismic Sancho treated us to a quarter's worth of bedrock shaking in the early A.M. Thanks to Social Media, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) will have ample cyber-testimonials on this morning's 4.4 quake centered in the Santa Monica Mountains west of the 405, to archive the shake intensity.
That said, this morning's brief episode in seismic landscaping, is bound to rekindle the dialog over the multitude of buildings within the City of Los Angeles, both old and new, that are in immediate need of earthquake retrofitting. As USGS's Seismologist Lucy Jones greets the media regarding this morning's shaker, lets remember that her side gig in working with LA Mayor Eric Garcetti in prepping the city for the dreaded "Big One", will surely become more pronounced in the days and weeks ahead.
Yet, as common sense would predicate a pro-active approach to earthquake preparedness and seismic retrofitting, there will be those in local government and the development community, who's monetary priorities will reinforce their act of denial about potentially dangerous projects such as the Millennium Project in Hollywood. Last week, the developers behind the controversial project were seeking to have changes made on State of California Earthquake Maps that would show the proposed development was not on the Hollywood Fault Zone.
Lets hope this morning's shaker will impede that effort.
** Longtime City Hall Reporter Rick Orlov of the "Daily Valley Moldy Green Sheet" (aka Daily News) notes in his "Tipoff Column" that Westside Congressional Candidate Wendy "Boss D'Arcy Rizzo's Greuel" was seeking the ballot designation of "Controller/Businesswoman". One problem, state election laws prohibits espousing a designation on a ballot that is no longer current. Thus, we offer up this alternative. "Call Greuel for LA's Special Interests".
** For my fellow CD-14 Constituents east of the Los Angeles River, if you were pondering why you see so little of your elective representative who happened to graduate from Princeton, maybe this missive on the State of Development in Downtown LA could educate you on the new political priorities in CD 14. Simply follow the money.
** Note from South LA Soulvine Columnist Betty Pleasant ........, SHUT UP!! If you think that Betty was directing her ire at CD 8 City Councilman Bernard Parks, Mayor Eric Garcetti or a certain blog, then we have a cut and paste surprise below. From Betty .........
Political campaigns can be one of two things: either exciting or disgusting, and comes now one of the latter — the campaign of Alex Johnson for the District 1 seat on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education
Johnson, whom nobody knows except Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, for whom he works as an “education aide,” was just certified by the city clerk as an official candidate in that election last week and then kicked off his campaign in the vicious attack mode by pouncing on fellow candidate, Genethia Hudley-Hayes, like a mountain lion. Instead of telling us who the heck he is, Johnson chose to tell us Hudley-Hayes — a woman we have known, loved, respected and worked with for more than 30 years — is falsifying her resume with regard to her having a doctorate!! Who cares?! The only thing of concern to voters in this election is determining which of the seven or eight candidates will be the most effective and committed advocate for quality education which the 1st District’s woefully underserved minority students deserve.Johnson needed to come out telling us what’s in his resume, not what’s lacking in the resume of his opponent. Whose jugular is he going for next week? Probably candidate George McKenna, who, like Hudley-Hayes, (and unlike Johnson) are above reproach and are proven warriors when it comes to LAUSD matters. All Johnson did last week was make people mad, including the Soulvine and a bunch of civil rights leaders who denounced Johnson’s opening campaign gambit as “a smear attack.”  They sent me the following statement:

Late Morning Brief on the Los Angeles Political Machine's "Call Greuel's" new Blind Political Ambition

Oh My God!! The former City Controller and Failure Mayoral Candidate Wendy "Failure Mayor Villar and Boss D'Arcy Rizzo's Greuel", wants to replace retiring Congressman Henry Waxman in Washington D.C.
Add Carpetbagger to the Political Resume of former City Controller Wendy "Boss D'Arcy Rizzo's Greuel" as she prepares to move into the 33rd Congressional District, to establish domicile, in the campaign to replace retiring Congressman Henry Waxman.
She's back!!
Just when you thought the former Los Angeles Political Machine's favorite "Call Greuel of Choice" had gone off to live a post, losing-campaign afterlife as "Private Citizen/ Political Consultant" John Shallman's latest client debtor, a West LA Political Earthquake ( the "not-surprising" retirement of Congressman Henry Waxman), shakes the blond mane-covering cranium of the former San Fernando Valley-residing City Controller, into another blind act of political ambition, south of the Santa Monica Mountains.

DWP/IBEW's Boss D'Arcy Rizzo's "Call Greuel", wasted no time yesterday in seeking a new political rebirth by announcing her intention to run for the 33rd Congressional District Seat being vacated by Congressman Waxman at the end of the current term, predicated by moving into the district to establish domicile (** with Joint DWP/ IBEW Joint Safety Training Non-Profit, whoops, "Working Californians cash-laden Carpetbag" in hand? Just joking ......).

Greuel's announcement, will be the first of many prominent West LA Collectivist Dependentcrats ( and maybe a moderate RINO, or two), who will join this campaign battle royale, with speculation including the likes of Besty Butler, State Senator Ted Lieu ( ** just announced his intentions to run this afternoon), Assemblyman Richard Bloom, retiring LA County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky among others who want to succeed Congressman Waxman.

The irony here is what Congressman Waxman fail to do for the local and national economy via his Collectivist Dependentcrat-partisan actions, he will accomplish for his Congressional District by retiring and unleashing a short term, mother lode of economic opportunity for the local political consulting class, old & new media, connected non-profits and assorted businesses.

Surely the likes of "Parque" Skelton, "Ace" Smith, "Darth Harvey" Englander, "The Private Citizen/ Political Consultant", Rick Taylor, Bill Carrick, "Young Brian", the 'Two Eric's" (** included our alleged blog boss via the conspiracy-thinking Gatto Truthers, Eric Hacopian) and even "MEAT", are already mining for consulting contracts. ** BTW, there even might be enough consulting shekels left over to pay the likes of Rolando "The Big O" Cuevas to get out the dozen or less Latino votes ( keeping you in my thoughts Big O, but I digress).

Not to be left out, is the sure journalistic/blogging windfall for the likes of noted West LA commentators including the "Westside White Guy" ( aka Kevin Roderick) "Westside White Guy Emeritus" ( aka Bill Boyarsky), the Jewish Journal ( on second thought, all three are one in the same), (West) Los Angeles Magazine and of course, the West LA Propaganda Organ of Record, the "Old Gray Collectivist Hag on Spring Street" ( aka LA Times), who will see major ads buys from the candidates, in addition to posting numerous missives on the campaign proceedings ahead.

There is no doubt that the race to replace the West LA Political Icon will be a political event that dwarfs the recent 30th Congressional District faceoff between the Berman-Waxman Machine co-namesake Howard Berman and the Sherman-Gatto Machine ( please chuckle at the political humor moment) Patriarch, Congressman Brad Sherman, in expenditures and campaign drama ( with many "Black and Blue Moments" to come).

Thus, for us bloggin observers east of the 405, especially those in CD 14 awaiting the 2015 Councilman Jose Huizar re-election battle, the upcoming 33th Congressional Campaign theatrics, should provide us here on the Eastside, a worthy, political warm up act.

Your thoughts ..............

Morning Brief on a retiring West LA "Nostril" Political Machine for Thursday

Longtime West LA Congressman Henry "The Nostril" Waxman will not run for re-election, bring the end to the legendary "Berman-Waxman Political Machine Era".
Will the "Nostril" of the West LA Collectivist Dependentcrat Political Machine become the portal for the proposed Sepulveda Pass Tunnels in retirement?
** Blogger's Note: Local longtime political observers and national commentators are musing over the "surprise" (?, naught) retirement announcement of uber-partisan West LA Collectivist Dependentcrat Congressman Henry Waxman. The retirement of the "Nostril" of the formerly dominant Political Machine of West LA (and beyond), may be a barometer on the forbidding chances of the Collectivist Dependentcrats to win back the House and retain its majority in the Senate (unless the Establishment Republicans snatch defeat from victory again). But in hindsight, the surprise here should be naught. With the Berman half of the machine going down to defeat to the Valley Sherman-Gatto Machine last year, Waxman was becoming a political relic, further diluted by the political fact that his Collectivists Dependentcrats comrades will not regain control of Congress in 2014 ( thanks to Obamacare). Thus, now is the time for the last half of the "Berman-Waxman Machine" to march off into a "Black and Blue, West LA Political Sunset"---Scott Johnson in CD 14.
Washington D.C partisan politics will not be the same without the signature sneer of the shorter half of the once-formidable "Berman-Waxman Machine".
Will the voters of retiring Congressman Henry Waxman's congressional district want to embrace "the pick" of its longtime representative to replace him in Congress?
Your thoughts ..............
