Now it turns out that Carmen the Clown failed to press charges against a woman arrested by LAPD when she let loose from her motor home into the gutter. Carmen made some remark about shit hitting the fan which was cute.
A former Kentucky Fried Chicken store turned into a medical marijuana dispensary is back in business after closing down previously. It's legal status under the City's new law regulating prescription pot is unclear. No word on if you have a choice of regular or extra crispy canabis.
Mario Obledo, a distinguished Latino civil rights leader who was an early advocate for Hispanics has died at the age of 78. Obledo fought discrimination in his native Texas and later became Secretary of Health and Welfare under Jerry Brown. I met Mr. Obledo in 1982 when I volunteered for his campaign for governor, which he lost the nomination to Tom Bradley. In later years Obledo moved to the left but was honored for his work by President Clinton.
