How about the local schools, what Neighborhood Council serves you or what local planning area you're part of? There's a handy little tool on the front page of the City of Los Angeles' web site.

Scroll down to the "Neighborhood Resources" section and enter your address or nearest intersection.  Hit find and the system does the rest!
