We reported the other day on Jose Huizar's move to attempt to have the City of Los Angeles annex the struggling and shady nearby berg of Vernon.  Other bloggers noted it as a noble, democratic effort on the part of Street Hassle's favorite messiah next to Mike Gatto, but Zuma Dogg makes it very clear what's behind the move:

Money.  More precisely, a renewable energy scam with deep tentacles into the highest level of LA's elected leaders.
