Chickens Should Not Blog

We've certainly had our run-ins with the Westside White Guy but we see that one of his lackeys apparently has issues with our blog (what a surprise) and more directly our friend Zuma Dogg.

Now part of this is based on an email exchange and I wouldn't normally post what I get in email but this "blogger" didn't ask for confidentiality and is seemingly wanting to "pick a fight." As well WWG has never had an issue with not posting private details about our bloggers, so be it. By reading her sub-section of Anglo(LA)Observed I find that she seems to have a problem with just about everyone.

Blogger in question is one "Jenny Burman" of the "Chicken Corner" blog. Post in question is this one by Zuma. Now I am not going to take a position right now on the issue at hand (whether or not a school needs to be built in Eric Garcetti's council district - indeed Joe Mailander has an interesting take on it) but its interesting to see how quickly Jenny went loony toons on us.

Jenny wrote to me calling my piece "irresponsible." She apparently represents a demographic in the area that doesn't want a school (you know they're as bad as Home Depot). Immediately she accuses me of working for the LAUSD. When I kindly point out to Ms. Burman her issue is with Zuma Dogg and not me (and telling her Garcetti is not a saint) she writes back and tells me that she knows that Garcetti is not a saint, but she is "pretty sure that Zuma Dogg is a clown." Wow. How mature.

Now anyone who knows the real old, dead Republican Mayor that what you read on the blog and what you get in real life is not the same thing. As much as I hate to break the fourth wall here I think that even some of our most ardent opponents - who have been skewered publicly on the blog - have found in personal conversation I generally tend to be pretty gracious. Ask David Markland who Mayor Sam called an idiot but Michael Higby has high regard for.

Its sad to see that a blogger at the so called "blog of record" has to get personal in private. But so be it.
