We've certainly had our run-ins with the Westside White Guy but we see that one of his lackeys apparently has issues with our blog (what a surprise) and more directly our friend Zuma Dogg.Click read more for mas pollo poop
Now part of this is based on an email exchange and I wouldn't normally post what I get in email but this "blogger" didn't ask for confidentiality and is seemingly wanting to "pick a fight." As well WWG has never had an issue with not posting private details about our bloggers, so be it. By reading her sub-section of Anglo(LA)Observed I find that she seems to have a problem with just about everyone.
Blogger in question is one "Jenny Burman" of the "Chicken Corner" blog. Post in question is this one by Zuma. Now I am not going to take a position right now on the issue at hand (whether or not a school needs to be built in Eric Garcetti's council district - indeed Joe Mailander has an interesting take on it) but its interesting to see how quickly Jenny went loony toons on us.
Jenny wrote to me calling my piece "irresponsible." She apparently represents a demographic in the area that doesn't want a school (you know they're as bad as Home Depot). Immediately she accuses me of working for the LAUSD. When I kindly point out to Ms. Burman her issue is with Zuma Dogg and not me (and telling her Garcetti is not a saint) she writes back and tells me that she knows that Garcetti is not a saint, but she is "pretty sure that Zuma Dogg is a clown." Wow. How mature.
Now anyone who knows the real old, dead Republican Mayor that what you read on the blog and what you get in real life is not the same thing. As much as I hate to break the fourth wall here I think that even some of our most ardent opponents - who have been skewered publicly on the blog - have found in personal conversation I generally tend to be pretty gracious. Ask David Markland who Mayor Sam called an idiot but Michael Higby has high regard for.
Its sad to see that a blogger at the so called "blog of record" has to get personal in private. But so be it.

[You already know, because I already replied to your previous comment about how my other blogs have no comments...it is on "moderate" and if someone posts a comment it emails it to me. They are blogs I use to post excess material that you don't want me posting here. The comments are for this blog. Do you really think it would be good to have a 100 comments scattered across 100 blogs -- or just have one place for all the comments. (Here on mayor sam?)

You are such a crybaby...and everyone sees through you. I wish there was some way I could let you be me for a little, so you could get over it. I like your posts and those of Mailander. But frankly, scrolling through ZD's is tedious and time consuming.
Can you relegate him to the bottom of the barrel? Or, require him to shorten his posts? Or, limit his responses to each and every person who posts a critical thought?
His content is virtually non-value and all the benefits that you and Joebring to the table are dissipated by his usally ranting and raving overlong posts.

Bro, no one is fooled by the same two people trying to tell mayor sam what he should think. Do you know how to run his blog better than HE does? I have actually been limiting my threads on this blog, and posting things off-blog, but I realized from LAist and other blogs, that blogs are supposed to have stories updating all day. So i am going to start doing that here, too. With more frequent posts, but shorter with the "read more" up higher.
Meanwhile, maybe I'll start by posting all the comments from the person who is scaring us to death by threatening not to read the information on this blog anymore. (He's been making that threat for about a year now...however, is still the most frequent poster. (LOL!) I wish NC wouldn't have disqualified him and he could still feel like a big shot "Congressman!" Then maybe he would have a little less time to focus all this thoughts and energy to trying to tell his buddy how to run his blog. Don't worry, pal...I think mayor sam has done just fine without YOU!

Last I checked, this thread was a commentary on "Jenny Burman" on WWG, and not an anti Zuma Dog thread. I suggest to all and sundry that if you've nothing nice to say about Zuma in particular (or other people in general), then kindly imitate Martin Sheen, tape your mouths shut, and stop giving yourselves bad karma!
Jenny Burman was commenting on ZD, a exhibitionist provocateur who clearly relishes the attention of his many critics. His posts and comments are disruptive and narcissist. And given their length and frequency, they are also almost impossible to ignore. Perhaps this blog should emulate LAObserved and segregate its staple of contributors, so reading them would be an option, not an every day assault on our intelligence.

I have been a constant critic of Zuma Dogg since I abhor his spelling, his grammar, but mostly his basic misunderstanding of the political process and how it all works.
I find it grating to read him and watch him commit the most elemental mistakes in understanding why things have to be handled in certain ways to achieve objectives.
But, I notice, in reading his readers' comments, that most are related, not to the subject matter, but to his stupidity or arrogance, or his personal self agrandisement.
So. let's cut it out and let him post stupidity without comment; in short, boycott the idiot until he gets tired of talking to himself.
If we can control ourselves, it will be more telling than anything we could say, to see his posts go uncommented upon.
So, I'm done commenting on his posts. I hope you'll join me in this experiment, which may illustrate to mayor Sam the futility of having a fool like this on his otherwise quite cogent, relevant blog.

While you have been talking about how great you are, he just led the community of Sunland Tujunnga to the 1st ever City Council assertion of jurisdictionn of a North Valley Planning Commission decision ever.
You can mock someone for being disqualified to be on a particular Neighborhood Council, but I notice you have never bothered to run. I certainly don't agree with him all the time but I respect him for at least standing up and trying.
