On this Day that we honor the Legacy of Civil Rights Icon Martin Luther King Jr. the Mayor Sam Blog continues its tradition (actually daily endeavor) to NOT judge the operatives of our local Political Machine, based upon their Skin Color, but instead, document Acts of Policy Character (or lack of).

Unlike a certain CD 14 Officeholder who admitted to having A DRINK before rear-ending a former Huntington Park Police Officer (and benefiting from a sobering, two-hour siesta in the back seat of a LAPD Squad Car ......, allegedly), both CD 1 City Councilman Gil Cedillo Staffer Fredy Ceja and CD 8 City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson Staffer Fredy Torres (driving a Cit Vehicle), spent some quality weekend time in LAPD's new Downtown Glasshouse. For Ceja, who was involve in a accident with a MTA Bus, this was his FOURTH alcohol-related, driving episode since 2003. One longtime City Hall Observer noted that Ceja's Arrest is sure to prompt questions regarding his employment by Councilman Cedillo, in lieu of the fact that all Council Staffers are subjected to a background check, in which any discriminating details uncovered, are shared with the Officeholders.
