But the OC Weekly's Gustavo Arellano, author of the "Ask a Mexican" column isn't buying it.

Gustavo writes:

"Bryant's statement is absolutely shocking, considering she's never exhibited any Aztlanista tendencies in her life. Sure, she's part-Mexi, and she and her husband are known to frequent El Camino Real in Fullerton from time to time, but Vanessa's most prominent connection to her Latino heritage before wearing this T-shirt...was getting sued by her Peruvian maid for supposed workplace abuse."
