On The Other Hand, The Media Gets Weak Kneed for Barry O

Blogger Joe B. thinks the media has given presumptive Republican nominee John McCain an easy ride; but it's Barack Obama who gives Chris Matthews a thrill in his leg.  Starting with Andrea Mitchell and extending to the National Fishwrap of Record, the media is just downright in love with Barry O.

The Post's own ombudsman, Deborah Howell,  had to admit to her paper's bias in favor of the presumptive Democratic nominee:

"Democrat Barack Obama has had about a 3 to 1 advantage over Republican John McCain in Post Page 1 stories since Obama became his party's presumptive nominee June 4. Obama has generated a lot of news by being the first African American nominee, and he is less well known than McCain -- and therefore there's more to report on. But the disparity is so wide that it doesn't look good."

So who's getting the free ride?
