¡Ay, caramba! Those Absolut-ist Cartographers
I have always been more of a Stoli guy when it comes to Dirty Martinis and tend to be somewhat xenocentric when it comes to fermented libations: go the Russians for vodka, the French for wine, the English/Irish for beer, the Carribean for rum, Kentucky for bourbon, and so on and so forth.
I'm guessing, however, that Absolut vodka is one brand that Tom Tancredo and his supporters are going to forgo at their annual meeting. It would seem that the marketing team for the Swedish vodka company sought to deny President James Polk his historical fruits of manifest destiny. Now it is being reported by Reuters that the advertisement of the pre-1848 map seen above--which ran only in Mexico--has been withdrawn. Below was Glenn Beck's take on the situation; no statement has been released yet from Gustavo Arellano.
