HOT Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Monday

As the processing of millions of uncounted Ballots from last Tuesday's California Primary continues state-wide, we can discern locally that current and former CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar Staffers (Daniel, Jessica and Erick), did not fare well in seeking elected office.
Former CD 14 Staffer, current Port of LA Employee ......., and losing candidate for 53rd Assembly District County Committee Erick Martell.
A Bloggin Lesson in Political Karma? We think so.
As the task of counting Two Million-plus Ballots from last Tuesday's "Greece on the Pacific (formerly a Golden State) Primary" continues state-wide, we can ascertain from the local tally of the vote that the Endemic Democratic Electorate have a low regard for former and current CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar staffers, seeking to emulate their Princeton Graduate Boss, in getting elected to Public Office.
For the likes of current CD 14 Staffer Jessica Wethington-Mclean (fourth from last), former CD 14 Staffer Daniel Andalon (last place) in the 51st AD Democratic County Committee Election ........., and former Staffer Erick Martell (second to last) in the 53 AD Democratic County Committee Contest, they must be feeling that Political Karma is a .............., "Ana/Francine Ambition Moment".
Judging from Martell's current standing, its obvious that 53rd AD Voters have not cease in remembering that it was Martell's "Happy Hour B-day Party at the Edison", which preceded the infamous, Councilman Huizar Rear-ending Accident on First Street.
Thus, no one should be surprise that when you add into the Political Karma Mix, past episodes of questionable behavior, along with general disdain for constituent services, especially when discriminating based upon loyalty ........., , the final results are telling indeed.
** Frine Medrano for Downey City Council:
Longtime Assemblyman/State Senator Kevin De Leon Staffer Frine Medrano,.seeks out her own Political Identity.
While certain CD-14 Staffers ponder their current Political Karma, longtime Asemblyman/State Senator Kevin De Leon Staffer Frine Medrano is seeking to evolve her own Political Identity.
The well-respected, long-serving Staffer for the now "State Senate President Prp Tem Kevin De Leon the First", is garnering support for her City of Downey City Council Campaign from many, especially political colleagues of her boss
Unlike current or ex CD-14 staffers, Medrano and her co-workers are known for their excellent Constituent Services, when compare to the lack of, via CD-14. There is also an outside chance that someday, Medrano may add CD-14 Staff Member to her resume ........, if her Boss decides to run for City Council in the future.

Councilman Huizar admits to Drinking on night of the $185,000 Accident in City-owned Vehicle

KCAL/KCBS Reporter Dave Lopez gets CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar on video, admitting to speculation that he had imbibed an alcohol beverage before his costly $185,000 Accident involving the city-owned vehicle ($40,000 plus Toyota Highlander) he was driving.

Was it only one adult beverage Councilman Huizar?
In lieu of CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar's confirmation of speculation that he had indeed, imbibed an adult beverage before his costly $185,000 Accident, we ask the Princeton Graduate to truthfully answer the following Common Core-thematic, political math question.
Councilman Huizar, you admit to imbibing one adult beverage at a dinner (former staffer Erick Martell's Happy Hour Birthday Bash?). Upon leaving the alleged Happy Hour Birthday Event at the Edison on Second Street, you proceed at an unknown rate of speed eastbound on First Street until your rate of travel comes to abrupt stop on the back bumper of former Huntington Police Office David Ceja. How did the taxpayers get stuck with paying a $185,000 Settlement to resolve this latest character issue involving you? Possible, multiple choice answers below ...........
A. Mr. Ceja would not accept the Princeton Graduate's street side settlement offer from an undisclosed cash source (and in violation of city protocols for reporting accidents in city vehicles), allegedly.
B. Maybe you should ask Councilman Huizar's "former Staffer Erick Martell" if you can find him at his new job at the Port of Los Angeles?
C. What happens in back of a Hollenbeck Police Car, metabolizes in back of a Hollenbeck Police Car, allegedly.
D. Whatever was the alleged, true amount of imbibed adult beverages before rear ending Mr. Ceja did not show up on breathalyzer after two hours in back of Hollenbeck Police Car.
E. Maybe you should focus on why a late, former White CD 14 City Councilman was never convicted for driving drunk in his city vehicle?
F. The Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate's "Political Soul Brother" City Council President Herman "Mini Amin" Wesson said that it would take six-figures of your tax dollars to buy his way out of this latest character "FUBAR".
G. All of the above, allegedly.
** Meanwhile ............, what is former Councilman Huizar Staffer Erick Martell doing for a public paycheck these days, when not serving on the Executive Committee of the LA County Young Democrats?
We knew Martell loved his time working for Councilman Huizar.
Erick J. Martell currently serves as Legislative Representative for the Port of Los Angeles. The Port of Los Angeles encompasses 7,500 acres of land and water along 43 miles of waterfront. It features 24 passenger and cargo terminals, including automobile, breakbulk, container, dry and liquid bulk, and warehouse facilities that handle billions of dollars’ worth of cargo each year. The Port also wields tremendous economic impact, generating employment for more than 3 million Americans nationwide. In California alone, nearly 1 million jobs are related to trade though the Port of Los Angeles.
Prior to his current post, Erick J. Martell served as the Legislative & Transportation Director for Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar, 14th District. The District includes Downtown Los Angeles, as well as Boyle Heights, El Sereno, Highland Park and Eagle Rock. Erick successfully advanced the Councilman’s public policy agenda on a broad range of issues and was the point person on matters relating to Los Angeles World Airports, Port of Los Angeles, Public Safety, Public Works, Budget & Finance, LAUSD, Intergovernmental Affairs and Labor relations.

Erick also managed transportation issues for the Councilman, who served on the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Agency Board of Directors (Metro). In this capacity, Erick was involved with a variety of significant transportation projects, including the Regional Connector, which will greatly improve the connectivity of the transportation network for the region and serve as an important economic development tool for Downtown Los Angeles and LA County.
.........., one can surmise that Erick has learned the fine art of reaping the political spoils by keeping silent and remaining loyal to his bosses.

Mayor Sam Exclusive: Did Councilman Huizar attend Happy Hour Birthday Party for his Staffer before Accident?

** Mayor Sam Exclusive: Did City Councilman Jose Huizar attend Happy Hour Birthday Party in honor of his staffer Erick Martell, before his Boyle Heights Traffic Accident?
CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar.
CD 14 Legislative and Transportation Deputy Staffer Erick Martell.
** Blogger's Note: Mayor Sam has obtain this email that invites various city council staffers to a Happy Hour Birthday Party for CD 14 City Council Jose Huizar Staffer Erick Martell, yesterday evening at the The Edison. It is very conceivable that Councilman Huizar would of attended this Birthday Party for one of his longer serving staffers, then upon leaving, make his way eastbound on First Street, homeward bound, where he was later involved in a three car accident near First and Boyle. We should note again that Councilman Huizar was not supposedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, according to his spokesperson Rick Coca---Scott Johnson.
