This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.
Glenn Beck's 9/12 Project produced rallies across the nation today, including one in Los Angeles at the Federal Building in Westwood. I'm not sure if the 9/12 Project is an attempt by the Teabaggers to rebrand and ditch the "Teabagger" moniker, or if it's just another effort to boost Glenn Beck's ratings for his show.
What is the 9/12 Project, you ask? I'll let Glenn explain:
"The 9-12 Project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created." -from Glenn Beck's website.
As you can see from the following photos, Glenn Beck and the 9/12 Project brought Americans together today in a very special way. We put aside our political differences and joined in a big warm & fuzzy group hug!
