With Election Day one week away, embattled CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo's" Campaign Billboard (touting Leftist US Senator Bernie Sanders Endorsement), prompts a Bloggin Flashback on an inconvenient truth regarding a "Backroom Deal Cedillo Meeting" with a noted, President Trump Fundraiser .........., on the day before the California Democratic Primary in 2016.  

Is CD-1 City Councilman Gil "Bernie Endorsed Me" Cedillo the same "Backroom Deal Cedillo" who had a meeting with Developer (and Trump Supporter) Geoff Palmer??

** Blogger's Notes: No Los Angeles Municipal Election would be complete without "Big Billboard" shilling for the re-election of City Council Incumbents .........., especially CD-1 Officeholder Gil "Broken Deal Cedillo". With the CD-1 Officeholder facing a fierce Grass Roots Challenge from Leftist Progressive Candidate Eunisses Hernandez , the formerly Career Politico "One Bill Gil (now known locally as Broken Deal Cedillo)", is touting the Endorsement of US Senator Bernie Sanders (as seen on the billboard photographed on Avenue 26 by this Blogger) ............, but not without some inconvenient baggage.  In 2017, the "Yes on Measure S Campaign" released a detail report on various "Pay to Play Episodes" at City Hall. Included in the report was a detailed timeline of a series of meetings between CD-1 Councilman "Backroom Deal Cedillo" and noted Downtown LA Developer (and MEGA President Trump Fundraiser) Geoff Palmer ........., including one on the day before the 2016 California Democratic Primary Election.

How LA Should Vote When It Doesn't Know Who To Trust

@TheGussReport - Los Angeles-area elections in recent decades usually go down in a very predictable way.

First, the Los Angeles Times endorses incumbents regardless of their job performance or, if they are termed out, their chief of staff or a member of their or a prior incumbent's broader family.  Second, instead of making recommendations of their own, other local media parrot the Times' recommendations.  Finally, Angelenos follow the Times' lead or don't vote at all, which is what the politicians and the Times want anyway.

What LA has in 2022 is the consequence of, or more precisely, the punishment for, going along with them like lemmings.

Los Angeles Failure Mayor 2.0 Eric Garcetti knows no shame as he desperately resorts to having Poppy Gil and Mommy, recruit lobbyists to save his stalled Ambassador to India Nomination. 

Mommy Garcetti to Papa Gil: We are actually going to waste money on our Yoga Pants-wearing Son's DOOMED Ambassador to India Nomination?? 

** Blogger's Notes: A simple (and likely stupid) question to start the cyber-dialog today, does the parenting duo that raised LA's Failure Mayor 2.0 Eric Garcetti know any shame?? It would be so easy to laugh, mock, ridicule and lampoon (actually we are), the Mommy and Poppy of the Yoga Pants-loving Rhodes Scholar, turned President Biden's stalled Ambassador to India Nominee, for having the audacity to recruit Lobbyists, in the forlorn hope of hastening the departure our latest Third Floor Failure ........., out of the country. As a comparison, LA's OG Failure Mayor Tony Villar did not invoke the Parke Skelton-crafted narrative of his hard-working Single Mom, when the Obama Administration took a pass on nominating the City Terrace Native to a Cabinet Position in 2012, but Tony still had delusions of being Governor ....., and we know how that worked out. That stated, we offer no apologies to the former District Attorney, as we paraphrase a popular quip (regarding the bloody glove) from the O.J. Simpson Trial, that best describes Yoga Pant's chances of being confirmed .........., "if the grip (of Rick Jacobs) nearly fits (over a man's privates), then you should quit (your attempted ambassadorship)".

With the 2022 City Commerce Municipal Election mere days away, Model City Voters are once again, being subjected to Journalistic Smears via "The Oz behind the Curtain (of Fake News)" Brian Hews, financed in part by the city's General Fund ........, with the blessings of a certain City Council Member??     

The "Oz behind the Curtain (of Fake News)" Brian Hews, can't control his glee over getting paid to print City of Commerce Legal Notices.

** Blogger's Notes: With a little more than two weeks before the 2022 City of Commerce Municipal Election, the reigning purveyor of "Attack Journalism in Southeast Los Angeles County (with guidance from the Chacon Political Machine)" Brian Hews, is back keyboarding smears ........, with financing in part from the Model City General Fund (as we note in documents obtain via a California Public Records Act request).

Eric Garcetti Goes Down With His Ship

@TheGussReport - Had LA Mayor Eric Garcetti considered Dostoevsky's words, "above all, don't lie to yourself," he might already be in Bombay with the title US Ambassador preceding his name.

Instead, Garcetti refused to participate in US Senator Chuck Grassley's recent investigation, which concluded that it was "extremely unlikely" that the mayor was unaware of alleged sexual harassment and racist comments by his aide Rick Jacobs that made his office a hostile work environment. 

Garcetti had to stay silent during Grassley's investigation because he had already claimed under oath that he knew nothing, saw nothing and had said nothing when questioned about the allegations during his Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing.

If only Garcetti recognized that he had an escape hatch from this self-induced mess.

Delicious Subtexts To LA Mayor's Race

@TheGussReport  - The candidates running to succeed Eric Garcetti as the next mayor of Los Angeles fall into one of three buckets.

The first contains the winner, who will either be Rick Caruso, the billionaire developer, or Karen Bass, the Congressmember with a thing for Fidel Castro, at least until her name was floated as a Joe Biden running mate.
