The Political and Family Interests of Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard and Indicted CD-14 City Councilman Jose Huizar Intertwined?
It should be a given that longtime Congresswomen Lucille Roybal-Allard would find deplorable the alleged corrupt conduct that has been linked to the Princeton Graduate, turned suspended CD-14 Officeholder, considering that her Father was known for his uber-ethical proclivities.
But as noted previously, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard has been linked in the past to local Officeholders (City of Bell's George Cole) who have been convicted for Political Corruption, and with the Indictment of Councilman Huizar, its only logical that inquiries would be forthcoming regarding their political cooperation.
As pictured above, the Congresswoman was an active partner with Councilman Huizar in helping to secure funding for his proposed Downtown LA Streetcar Project, supporting the Bringing Back Broadway Imitative, and other numerous endeavors/projects of mutual interest.
That stated, its of interest to review whether Congresswoman Roybal-Allard's cooperation/support of Councilman Huizar's Pet Projects, was reciprocated in kind by the CD-14 Officeholder, in regards to business endeavors of Congresswoman's Family?
Congresswoman Roybal-Allard's Niece Loushana Roybal-Rose, was listed as a Co-owner of the Align Gallery on York Blvd in Highland Park, in an area that is The Epicenter for the Gentrification of the Community.
In recent years, longtime community members have spoken out on the impact of Councilman Huizar's support (for the right fee, allegedly) of the new bars, restaurants, pot shops and galleries, that have replace numerous Latino Businesses along the York Blvd. Corridor.
The irony of Loushana Roybal-Rose's Investment in the Align Gallery, with its contribution to the Gentrification of York Blvd, is impossible to dismiss, considering her Grandfather's solitary fight against the Gentrification of Chavez Ravine via the building of Dodger Stadium .......... and an issue of current interest to her family members.
Roybal-Rose, along with her Mom Lillian, Edward Roybal Jr and Cousin Lou Roybal Gardner, are seeking to usurp the ethical legacy of the Lucille and Edward Roybal Foundation, by engaging in a legally-questionable takeover of the Public 501-C3 Non-Profit, that is allegedly-rooted in the potential monetary gain from a pending "Gentrification" (via the Metro Gold Line Extension) of the Foundation Property in East LA.
