Councilman Huizar's CLARTS Fund Handout, err correction, Campaign Kickoff Rally

Strange, were the Huizar's wearing the same clothes and sitting in the same places on their Holiday Card?
By now, the connected non-profits memos are out to their respective staffs, that this is a work day meeting that all must attend. Damn right it is. If we want to get some CLARTS Fund, CRA, MTA or other public money love.
Team Huizzy kicks off its quest to achieve four more years of leisurely-public employment for the "Reigning Charro of CD 14". No doubt that LAUSD School Board President Monica Garcia will lead the assemble poverty pimps and connected non-profits junkies in cheers for another term of energetic leadership from someone who went to Princeton. Campaign Manager Michael Trujillo will regale the audience with tales of past campaigns lost. But most important, "PAPI" may grace the proceedings and bless "Mijo Huizzy Corleone" with his political aura and give the marching orders to all. (Don't forget to register those eligible to vote in Evergreen Cemetery).
Who will be among the masses making their case for tributes from the CLARTS Fund and other money sources? Who will offer votes for commission appointments? Who will provide security for tomorrow's event (Payaso from Legacy?), in exchange for GRYD contracts? What affordable housing non-profit will register to vote (for Huizzy of course) tenants for CRA funding? Thanks to Parke Skelton, we have the list of 150 community leaders (with a Huizzy staffer included) who better show up tomorrow, whoops, support the vision of the Ivy-League grad turn councilman. Lets take up some bloggin column space in highlighting some.
** Carol Jacques and Bill Rumble: The former "Bill and Hillary Clintons" of the Northeast Democrats and founding members of the Southwest Society (of community vendidos y vendidas) of the Southwest Museum.
** Former Ass Clown Award Winner, Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council President and current USC Lobbyist David Galaviz.
** David Miranda, "Sheridan Elementary Parent Volunteer". Hmm, does this guy work for ...... Councilman Huizar?
** Rudy and Elsa Torres of the El Sereno Chamber of Commerce. Was Rudy at Clean Sweep LA hyping a run for council or did that change after Huizar's offer of "help" to the Chamber?
** Elliot Skeuler, former Ass Clown Award Winner and founding member of the Southwest Society.
** Hugo "Comandante" Garcia: Huizar's former front person of the LA 32 Neighborhood Council.
** Marcos Aguilar, Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School Principal. Every campaign needs a controversial (and racist?) supporter.
** Maria Del Angel, former Estrada Courts and current HACLA Commissioner. Recent news on her new digs at Pico Gardens Housing Projects.
** Moctezuma Esparza. Did this person run a theater downtown? Also had his hand in public pensions.
** Raul Macias, AYSA. rumor on the street that he was offering his "services" to Rudy Martinez, or was it "fleecing services"?
** Ruby De Vera, former CD 14 City Council candidate, now working with Bradley on the Glassell Park Neighborhood Council.
** Tony "the Scud" Scudellari, founding member of the Southwest Society and disgraced former El Pueblo Commission nominee.
** Ulisses Sanchez , former "Democrat of the Year" and 2009 Ass Clown Awards Honorary Grand Marshall. Every campaign needs a designated cybertroll.
Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments on "Charro Huizzy Coeleone's Kickoff".

Since this went out several days ago, and you're just posting it now, it's pretty safe to assume you didn't get this directly.

Sorry you were left out.

You're not likely to be invited to the victory celebration either, Scott.

(BTW, if you looked over Rudy M.'s similar list of endorsers -- you should know by now that MOST of Rudy's are elderly nursing home residents, a WHOLE lot closer to being placed at Evergreen Cemetary that Huizar's).

My money says he told them the endorsement form was for AARP "early bird" dinner coupons.

All anyone has to remember is Sleazy Huizzy won with 4,000 votes last time around. IF the opposition were smart they would stand right outside on the PUBLIC sidewalk with signs that say "WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE CLARTS FUND MONEY? If the media is there, they will pan to them. Same groupies will be there, the insecure, uneducated hacks that Huizar gives money to keeping them happy. People like that have no conscience or ethics.

Oddly enough, Reed Spit, The Scud was "disgraced" for doing (privately) the exact some thing you're doing publicly here. . . identifying, slandering, and generally dissing Nick Pacheco's supporters.

His private e-mail went to a handful of people he thought on the same side, but was then leaked to the blogs by one who apparently wasn't.

You post your character assassinations here (some even alleging - with no proof - criminal activity by people you couldn't pick out of a line-up), when they're main crime is simply that they support a candidate you hate.

Doesn't get any pettier or childish than that.

Sounds like your headline is suggesting that Huizar has somehow "bought" support with the CLARTS fund, or will.

But then your premise all along, for many months has been that those funds haven't been used for local amenities in CD14.

These people all work with and support local organizations. If their groups received CLARTs funds, then doesn't that mean the money IS being used as intended -- to support local improvement efforts?

The contradiction seems to be built into almost everything you write lately.

It is getting harder and harder to see these as anything more than just hate pieces, and personal attacks.

Huizar hasn't AUDITED the non profits who will be there tomorrow because they have abused the money. Their directors make over $90,000 and drive expensive cars like Ozzie of the Tech Center drives a new Mercedes. Shameful these non profits don't do anything for the community but employees are paid well. The problem I see is Huizar always uses students and kids from these non profits to campaign for him. Last year they were asked why they were walking for Huizar and they said because they'll get credit and they were told they have to from their ogranization. Sad. Some are saying part of the $250,00 raised for the $100 mil Street Car has never been documented properly. Where is that money?

You can ignore people to a point and allow their neigborhoods to be destroyed but then they start to push back. Many people who voted for Huizar are not this time round. Many are Senior Citizens who are tired of Boyle Heights being 68% illegal and Huizar not only turning a blind eye but helping them instead of the legimate business owners. Rumor about the local newspaper typical Parke and Trujillo desperate. The bigger story is all the corrupt development deals which will come out right in time to blow things over the edge for Huizar. And the Media should investigate all the $$$$ he's given Zacarteras from our tax dollars.

If Hackopian paid a weekly newspaper reporter covering the Huizar/Martinez election, why do you say it's the consultant's career that is over? Why not the reporter's career and kudos to the consultant for getting the job done? It's not like he paid off an elected government official. If this is true, the reporter is the one who will be adding to the unemployment rate.

Switching 4,000 votes in an off-year City Council race will cost you a half-million, easy.

And that's assuming the other guy doesn't also up his ante nearly as much.

The trouble is, when both sides ramp up the slime, more and more people just stay home.

Oh, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE organize a CLARTS-head protest outside Huizar's campaign office on Saturday!

Not only would it be a scream to watch, it will prove once and for all (when all of 8-10 ranters show up), that this is an administrative non-issue pumped by a few RED-neck haters, who can't really figure out any "real" negatives against Huizar in 5+ years on City Council.

I'd love to see Ch. 9 pan the sidewalk showing a "revolt" of less than a dozen people. And I think we all know just how rabid and unwashed that crowd would look.

Waht truly is pathetic is anyone who comes about against Huizar in CD14 will be retailited against. All anyone has to do is ask the business owners from the last election. Huizar paid personal visits to them and basically told them in certain terms. Antonio did the same thing. Any community member that comes out against Huizar basically gets the same thing. People will use their vote I believe this time round. And I agree the more negative and ugly this race gets, it will turn people off. You can't blame the CLARTS scandal on Huizar opposition. When you include the Media its a whole different story and NOT just ONE media outlet. Huizar needs to respond what did he do with that money

If you're worried about "retaliation" what do think Red Spot launched with this thread -- against people who work to improve CD14, and happen to support the candidate he hates?

Anyone who still believes Huizar, flaws and all, is still a better candidate than a rich guy who never spent more than 5 minutes thinking about the well-being of anyone in CD14 he wasn't related to (before announcing as a candidate a few months ago), is branded a toady, a criminal, someone being "paid off" for their support, and -- if they've ever been against Huizar before on any issue -- a traitor.

Martinez put his name out there to be a public figure. He's fair game (as is Huizar).

Bashing Huizar's supporters, BY NAME, and accusing them of crimes is toxic, rabid retaliation at its worst.

For the first time in my life, I wish I was an attorney, so I could sue the manchild out of (mama's?) house and basement home, on their behalf.

90% of these people who are listed belong to organizations that have or will benefit from monies used by Huizar to PAY FOR EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY. They may not vote for him.

Remember there are 25K in community; less than 8K voted last time; Huizar got 5K, LESS than 20% of the VOTING community and won.

Whats important in this election is:

1. 20K MEMBERS OF THIS COMMUNITY MUST VOTE.
2. EVERY PERSON MUST VOTE FOR THE COUNCILPERSON OF THEIR CHOICE.

No matter what side you're on we should all try and stick to the issues. I won't bash anyone moving forward. Here are the questions Huizar needs to answer:
What did you do with $1.5 million CLARTS Fund money and why won't you answer the media's question?
Why did you lie to your constituents on the Trash Fee Hike with Antonio and all city council knowing it really wasn't for Public Safety
Why did you push and vote for Measure B the Solar ballot measure that was an outright LIE
Why did you vote with your colleagues to support DWP instead of stick up for the people
Why haven't you AUDITED all the non profits as you PROMISED when you were first campaigning?
You don't support law enforcement as is evidenced by this video making the rounds all over the city

Jack Humphreville sent the following email blast out today to the five members of the City Council's Budget and Finance who are meeting behind closed doors this afternoon at 2 PM to discuss the sale of the city parking facilities. He urges them to open the meeting and kill the deal and then follow up with public hearings on this and broader budget issues.
