Check out the photo at Griffith Park Wayist.

Assemblyman Mike Feuer is this year's recipient of the Stanley Mosk Defender of Justice Award for authoring legislation to create a first in the nation pilot project that establishes the right to counsel for low income people in critical civil cases. The award is sponsored by the California Judicial Council;

The Sheraton Universal Hotel has been purchased by Chinese real estate firm Shenzhen New World Group Co. Anyone remember when Telly Savalas lived at the Sheraton and owned the bar on the ground floor?

Much to the chagrin of golfers, the City of LA has taken over the rental of golf carts at municipal courses. Guess what happened on day one?

Whatever you do, never hire Lone Star Security, the king jerks of mobile billboard blight in Los Angeles (Thanks Paul S. for the tip).

In the clickety-click department;
Major silliness already by the new House Republicans. Expect to see these chest thumping, time wasting exercises for the next 2 years.  Oh, and of course, it's time to begin the investigations to nowhere! Forget job creation, it's base pandering time! Party On Party of No.

Lucky for Mitchell he probably didn't have to pay Bruce much at all for the interruption. He knows Bruce thrives on this media like he does himself.

It looks like Mitchell is getting desperate and will do anything to get his picture in the paper.

Box boosted his credibility 97% simply by shaving, losing the hat and -- did he have a bow tie?

It's not fair, but appearance does count. Quirky chin pubes and goofy attire screams "kook alert."

I'm glad he did this. He just made it much easier for people to vote for him instead of LaBonge.

Interesting that you mention Mike Feuer on the same page as Jerry Brown - what's that, a pair of jokers? Someone thinks Feuer is running for DA as he's termed out of the Assembly in 2012 - that should make for a very funny campaign. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Feuer bears a remarkable resemblance to Groucho Marx?

Speaking of jokes and jokers, did anyone catch Kamala Harris's inaugural speech - so full of liberal soft on crime stuff that she makes Feuer seem like a right wing tough on crime guy. Coincidence, surely.

I'm sure you'll all start ridiculing Jerry Brown soon, but don't forget what a disaster our PREVIOUS governor was----and don't forget how excited everyone was eight years ago to have the "Terminator" run our state. At least Brown knows government and isn't a narcissistic movie star.

IF Jerry Brown lives up to his campaign promises of "no new taxes" unless approved by voters, democrats are going to be very disappointed that they voted in a "real republican" government. Jerry Brown will make cuts that will make democrats angry and republicans happy.

How times have changed. A leaving republican was really a democrat and an incoming government MAYBE a real republican. Only time will tell.

When Jerry Brown became Governor the first time.....he replaced a movie actor-turned-politician. Now, he's done it once again. Only in California, kids!

The only thought I have about Jerry Brown is that he is odd. He shared a bedroom with Gray Davis back in the day, and he married FOR THE FIRST TIME in his 60s.

You tell me.

Are you claiming Jerry Brown is gay? Look, at this point in time, does his sex life really matter? The dude has been married for quite awhile. I heard lots of gay rumors about Schwarzenegger when he was a new immigrant to America (circa 1968) and a body builder at Muscle Beach. He has LOTS of skeletons in HIS closet. All that matters is....NO MORE TERMINATOR running our state!----you probably voted Arnold eight years ago because you thought he was "cool."

I agree that Stephen Box was very smart to shave but he still needs some manscaping done on those eyebrows. It's 2011! people don't like crazy, scary, wild, bushy eyebrows. They look ominous. Can't his wife help him out with that?

So....Jerry Brown's eyebrows are important to you? Geez.....you need to get a life. I'm grateful that Schwarzenegger can no longer ruin our beloved state of California. And you're talking about Brown's eyebrows? !!!

Patricia, read. You spent more time commenting on someone's comment than you did reading the comment you were commenting on.
