One of our readers took it upon themselves to contact the legendary D.C. Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey - whose phone book has reportedly turned up the names of some high profile politicians - and ask if Mayor Villaraigosa ever did business with her:

I don't care if L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is acting like a normal politician. I think that having an affair is disgusting behavior, and it's too often explained that "we" have to go along with it. The things that separate us from animals are the ability to discern the difference between right and wrong and to make decisions not according to our desires and "feelings."

We are to rise above all that smut. We are tired of Hollywood and the media portraying extramarital affairs as something we must accept....Articles like Al Martinez's denigrate our society and make us think that we who do not accept this behavior are the ones with the problem.

Stand up for what is right. Would you teach your children that Villaraigosa's behavior is OK?

so maybe i'll keep going (on a long roll), or maybe nothing for a while, or maybe once a week/every other week...who knows..

all i know, is it took me a LOOOOOOOOONG time to be able to feel this way, to not even turn on the council meeting, cause it's july, i turned a one day trip to city hall, into a year and three months -- and now i can hopefully do some bigger things, more effectively...

and one of those things should be captain jack crew to let me know what's up, more specifically by phone or in person...cause HOPEFULLY i will go a full day at a time without reading comments.; July 18, 2007 7:57 PM
