Dear Mayor Antonio,
You know that although ZD is no fan of your policy and agenda, I feel empathy for you regarding all the media attention being focused on you.
Perhaps the blogs and talk show hosts sparked some bad PR that blew up to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" status, and the boos at that sports game, and whatnot.
Intense media spotlight is a tough thing to take, no matter who you are, because people weren't mean to live under this level of media scrutinty, where you have to answer to every joe schmoe with a camcorder in your face at a press conference.
BUT DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER...The reason all of this bad PR is coming out is not because of the current medium (blogs, radio, newspapers)...it's because there are former supporters of yours, who are now disgruntled and disenfranchised by all this bad PR. They feel they just lost their investment. People have a lot tied into Antonio emotionally, as well as financially. They knew him back then, watched him rise...the original "People's Champ".
So now, perhaps some of those people are selling you out and making sure this stuff gets out there, whatever the medium. If we were still living in the native days, your scorned supporters would be sending "smoke signals". If you pissed off Fred and Barney, they would be passing out stone tablets.
Perhaps it will help you feel better to know that there really was no way to prevent this from getting out. People can hack this blog, or wish John and Ken would just shut up...but when your opponents decide it's time for the info to get out into the mind of the public...it's gonna get out there, whether it's a message in a bottle or pony express...and in this electronic era, that's a genie you can no longer count on keeping in the bottle.

Oh no...ZD hasn't really said shiznit about all this mayoral harem speculation...but I hate to say it...some of the stuff I had a while ago keeps on coming out elsewhere and seems to continue to reverberate.
I think there is an issue with "Parlor Maid" H.H. appointed to DONE. And other appointments going on in the city (like most of them, probably) whether they are tied to the mayor socially, or not.
And ZD wishes he posted more of this stuff, for the simple fact to prove ZD has every nook and cranny of city hall "bugged" for all intent and purposes.
But I'm not gonna start speculating on names and associations...but a ZumaTimes reader heard some angry lady was yelling at the someone as he was stepping into his vehicle.
She was yelling something about fixing some situation. (Perhaps some unwanted attention.)
Anyway, she must have really been pissed, cause she needed some assistance leaving.
p.s. here's the problem I think the mayor now has...in order for him to stop the leak...he's gonna have to basically cut ties to every human being in his life.
i now realize, many people are in on this, and i don't think all of them are the same source.

The City Journal, Summer 2007 issue, has a really excellent piece by Judith Miller, The War on Terror... comparing how L. A. and NYC have very different approaches to terrorism, due to geography, and lack of funding for police and lower numbers (guess which city that is), but on the plus side, we have more inter-agency cooperation. Check it out, this is something worth devoting a blog to.
There are interviews with our city leaders in charge of this effort, and even you and your readers will get a greater appreciation for how they have been able to so much with so relatively few resources, yet we really need to approve more funds for this. Our City Officials and Bratton and Baca have not exactly been sitting idle in this regard.
But I've never seen local coverage: this is a New York paper talking about OUR city in such detail, because they had 911 so it's a prime concern over there.

Yes Los Angeles even though a main target for terrorism LAPD has done an outstanding job. But Antonio tries and takes credit for that and the crime drop. His sorry ass has never been in a black/white out in the field and he supports illegals instead of his officers that's why they can't stand his ACLU loving butt. I happened to be one of a small group of Palisadians at a local deli where Mecha Boy dropped in for an informal campaign stop.
We brought up the subject of his membership in Mecha and asked him if he still belonged and, if so, WHY? This yellow-bellied COWARD hemmed and hawed, wouldn't give a direct answer, and then RAN OUT THE BACK DOOR of the deli!!!!
Talk about COWARDS!!! I have since learned that this is his M.O. HE JUST RUNS AWAY FROM TV interviews whenever he is cornered! He refused to appear on Newsmakers BECAUSE HE IS A COWARD!

These Commissions are supposed to govern the city. Instead, they are filled with the girlfriends of the Mayor and his staff.

People suspect that the LAPD statistics which show a drop in crime are fabricated. We know for sure that the statistics for the Department of Animal Services are fabricated. I bet the LAPD's are too. If they refuse to take crime reports, then it'll look like there is a drop in crime when there isn't. They definitely refuse to take crime reports. I went there to report a crime. They wouldn't take the report. Then someone told me they must take the report so I went back down there and insisted. They said they'd take a report but for something minor only. I told them the act that was committed was a felony. They said no, it's not. I made the report for something minor. Then I went back home, searched the internet, called the DAs office and they said yes, of course it's a felony.I called the LAPD and asked them to change the report. They said no. Then they said they wouldn't even do anything about it because they're busy. This is how they manipulate the statistics, just like Animal Services refusing to take in animals, refusing to do their job.
Crime has been dropping nationwide for a long time. Most people believe this is due to Three Strikes laws and an increase in penalties for crime in general.

9:49 Someone emailed me that they were going to kill and rape me with a gun. I know who sent the emails. They sent me proof that they'd been to my house. They wrote down the license plate number of a guest's car in my driveway with full description. The officer only took a report for harassing emails. He would not take the report for the death threat. He said it wasn't an imminent threat because it was in writing. He said if someone was standing in front of me with a baseball bat and they said "I'm now going to kill you with a baseball bat," that would have been an imminent threat. Heck, I'd be dead and wouldn't be able to report that threat if he were standing in front of me.
I contacted the DA's office who said that a written death threat is a threat. He should have taken the report for a death threat, not just harassing emails. So how do I report t his officer? Maybe that'll make them take this seriously.

The police are not attys and they do not make the final determination what crime, if any, was committed. If the officer put in his report that you received these emails and the contents, he did his job. The district atty/prosecutor will decide if a crime was committed.

Some (unsolicited) words of advice:
Both reporters from the “mainstream media” (MSM) and City Hall bigwigs are reading this blog daily – along with Telemundo execs and Clinton campaign staffers.
When the threads on the Mayor turn into a bunch of derogatory and misspelled rants, people tune out.
When facts – like the Mayor being at the Voter Registration dinner last night -- turn into fiction like “he was booed”; “Mirthala was there”; “he left quickly”, etc…people stop reading.
For those of us who want the truth – the whole truth and nothing but the truth – to come out, this is really frustrating.
So please folks: FOCUS.
Focus on the truth and using it to pressure both City Hall (if you want the Mayor out) and Telemundo (to fire Salinas for her unethical conduct).
Keep writing the folks at Telemundo.
If you don’t, they will basically wait until the furor dies down and then Mirthala will be back on the air like nothing happened.
Remember, they don’t want to fire her because that will be an acknowledgement that THEY WERE WRONG.
So every time you see an article on the affair; a cartoon (and there are plenty) mocking Mirthala, send it to the execs at Telemundo.
Write to them and let them know that as a NBC, CNBC, and/or Telemundo viewer, this behavior is UNACCEPTABLE.
Tell them that you will be writing all of their sponsors – which will be the next step.

10:31 the officer said that nothing would be done with the report. He told me it would just sit in a pile and no one would ever look at it. No detective has called me about it. Nothing happened. So, I went and upgraded my security system and bought a gun.
This is how the cops work in this city. If someone calls and says "someone is trying to kill me," they will do nothing. They literally tell you to call them back AFTER you've been physically assaulted. How can you call them if you're dead? I was told that the running joke is that no one will show up if you say someone is trying to kill you but all the cops will show up to stand over your dead body and crack jokes.
Citizens of LA. You must protect yourself because the LAPD won't be doing it. Go buy a gun or two, take a self defense class, get better security. If someone attacks you, don't waste your time calling the cops. Just beat the shit out of the guy.
I did get some good advice from another cop later. He said if the person comes onto my property and tries to attack me, that I should shoot him dead and make sure his body lands on my property. That is legal self defense. So, instead of preventing a crime from happening they'd rather just take a report of someone being killed. They don't even care who gets killed.
How are they hacking this blog? Someone going in and removing posts? locking you out? I don't see any hacking.

It really came through on TV, and I’m told the mayor looked taken aback by the reception. City News Service calls it “a notable round of boos.” Villaraigosa also was the butt of jokes from Jay Leno again during the monologue on last night’s “Tonight Show.”
re: 11:40: I had a dingbat neighbor who thought she heard burglars one night and called LAPD, saying there were burglars in her house: in mins. there were two cars, six cops, guns drawn, two dogs...It was nothing but she had no consequences for calling in a false report. BUT another time a violent neighbor threatened to run me down in his car, stopping inches from me, could have easily hit and killed me in his monster SUV, over a territorial dispute -- he'd been swindled by a realtor, who'd told him MY yard was part of his -- but when I called cops, was told because he left afterwards, that's not actionable unless it has special circumstances, like if it were a hate crime. The fact that he called me a "dike" counted for more than that he almost killed me and remains a danger, owns a gun.
There are irregularities that need to be addressed. But it's a matter of bad laws, not the cop's fault.

When Corina Villaragosa was being treated for breast cancer I am positive her doctor told her family, especially her husband, that STRESS could hurt her...obviously Antonio didn't listen or care...he turned around and had an affair with his friends wife.
Even in a life or death situation Antonio thought of himself, not his family, and truly not his wife at a time in her life she truly needed him. So what makes anyone of us who live in LA think he's thinking about us?
