Boxer for Villar

BabsIts official! Senator Barbara Boxer has endorsed Tony Villar. I expect the Hahnista Cutting and Pasting Crew to say she is a socialist slug (which of course Mayor Sam would agree with). C'mon Jim Hahn - tell us why Boxer is irrelevant, what's wrong with her, and why her endorsement doesn't matter. Then, I would be glad to forward to the Senator herself.

Barbara Boxer rocks and she did very well last year for all those that don't wish to remember. She crushed Bill Jones statewide by a solid 21%. She's one of my favorite liberals. Now to borrow a line from all you Bush worshipping, Hahn Voting, Antonio hating people. You may not like what she says but at least she says it.

Lol, I can't beleive I'm using that line. It's still good though.

Intersting one of her field staffer said he will vote for Hahn. Her endorsement just shows us she has no clue what's going on in this city with ADV had his own district. Laurel Erickson surprised ADV asking him why he wasn't at the big Roy Romer meeting yesterday with everyone else if education was suppose to be his big issue. Why not MEAT???

Generally candidates like to move towards the center as election day approaches, not reinforce their base.

Villaraigosa is clearly proving conventional wisdom wrong! Maybe Antonio wants to reward his friends and contributors from the textbook industry. Good luck with your trial balloon campaign!

Laurel Erickson is an idiot, who showed up 45 minutes late and relies on her cameramen to do her reporting for her.

Hmmm, let's see

Boxer endorses ADV; Feinstein endorses Hahn

Which CA senator is universally more respected, admired, and considered more productive -- in L.A., CA, and nationwide?

If you say "Boxer," you're DUM-dumber than a box(er) of rocks!

I don't know about statewide, or countrywide, but in L.A., Boxer is FAR more popular! Among progressives, Feinstein is reviled... especially after she voted "yes" on the Iraq War (despite unprecedented constituent feedback, 95% of which urged her to vote "no"). Most Democrats I know find Feinstein almost repulsive, while Boxer is basically a liberal folk hero, nowadays.

The Feinstein endorsement may be preferable if you're running for Mayor of Bakersfield. But you're blind if you can't see that Boxer is more popular in liberal Los Angeles.

That reminds me. Boxer won way more voters than Feinstein and she won in diverse parts of the state as well. Despite the fact that she underperformed John Kerry in every Bay Area County, including her own home county of Marin, she still won more votes and a higher percentage than he did. Boxer performed much better in the Central Valley as well as Southern California, where she completely outperformed Kerry. She even won in Republican held congressional districts. She even won Irvine!! Irvine! In conclusion, her victory was broadbased, not just LA and the Bay Area outvoting the rest of the state. I think Antonio wins 2 points for this one.
