Janine Turner Endores Sarah Palin

Let's see how quickly Democrats call her a bimbo and trash her for supporting Sarah Palin. Actress Janine Turner is campaigning for the Republican ticket and makes quite the articulate point for support of John McCain and Sarah Ticket without the vulgarity and vapidity of Sandra Bernhard or Matt Damon. But they're not haters, they're Democrats! We all know only Republicans are haters!

The Democrats' Double Standard

Prior to the McCain-Obama Presidential debate, Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin was at home hanging with a crowd at a sports bar in Philadelphia. Yet Joe Biden, in trying to burnish his "Hometown Joe" image, invites Palin to join with him and the working class at a diner in Delaware that shuttered itself over 20 years ago. Had Palin made the same gaffe, we'd never hear the end of how she's out of touch and stupid.

Barack Obama has a gaffe attack and says the government invented the computer. He gets a pass for that from the drive-bys yet if John McCain made the same mistake, liberals would be calling him senile and erratic.

Joe Biden makes stupid comments about the East Indian community in his state. Well that was just a joke. Yet John McCain refers to Barack Obama as "that one" and he's a racist.

Deep thinker Matt Damon lies that Sarah Palin believes that dinosaurs existed just 4,000 years ago. A no less liberal source than CNN proved this is not Palin's position. (the whole story was made up by a blogger, imagine that). Yet Barack Obama says the US has 57 states and gets a pass.

Joe Biden says that FDR went on television right after the stock market crash in 1929, yet neither was FDR president yet nor had television gone beyond the walls of a few high tech labs.

Barack Obama's smug "Fight The Smears" website says that Obama had not worked with the controversial leftist organization ACORN - which is currrently facing allegations of voter fraud in several states - yet the record shows that Obama worked with ACORN as a trainer and represented them as an attorney. At the same time, Obama has paid an auxliary organizaton of ACORN several hundred thousand dollars for campaign services.

The Democrats lies, hypocrisy are bad. What's worse is the mainstream meadia covering for them. For sure Republicans are guilty of the same thing, most notably President Bush. However the Republicans don't have the benefit of the drive-by media to assist them in their efforts. Lets hope the American people see through ALL the smoke and are smart enough to know the difference.

Your Homework for Tonight

As a public service, in an effort to see how much you are learning from reading Mayor Sam, and to test the validity of your ability to argue and further develop your positions, as your teacher, I am assigning you the following homework, due tonight:

1. Explain how Daily Kos, Salon, the New York Times, Matt Damon, Lindsay Lohan, Mrs. Lindsay Lohan and Pam Anderson are unbiased news sources when it comes to Sarah Palin.

2. Give us a full explanation of how Zuma Dogg actually costs the City money/wastes time with a complete accounting. Compare and contrast this to the time wasted by Council Members who are 1) Tardy 2) Absent 3) Asleep (well that's only one CM we know of) 4) Crafting resolutions against the War in Iraq, endorsing Obama and declaring global warming a "really bad thing" 5) photo ops and 6) Singing songs on Fridays.

Extra Credit: Send Zuma Dogg some PayPal love.

Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday

Despite the efforts by Sleeping Greig Smith to the contrary, the City's Neighborhood Councils will get the opportunity to create "Council Files" without having to submit to onerous financial disclosures by the members of the all-volunteer panels.  At the same time however, Neighborhood Council leaders are calling on their colleagues to be "self-policing" when it comes to ethics and conflicts of interest.

After two and a half years of public comment community activism, Zuma Dogg believes that he and the City Council may have developed "Stockholm Syndrome" where most Council Members are no longer antagonistic to ZD and take time to spin him while awaiting his take on their work and "tuning in to see what I say the way movie goers tune into Siskle and Ebert to hear their take on movies."  At the same time, Zuma details his life of sleeping in his car, going without food and sleep, and yet being unable to quit his crusading ways.  Come on folks, if you have ever got some enjoyment and/or education out of Zuma's work, send him some PayPal love.

A commenter on a discussion board posts a photo of Council President Eric Garcetti officiating the wedding of two lesbians. Beyond Garcetti and the happy couple, the photo captures several interesting subtexts if you look at it throughly.  Still I wonder why some gays and lesbians, after working so hard to secure the important right to marriage, would want to have a member of the Los Angeles City Council or even the Mayor to officiate.  Odd.

Elizabeth Snead of the Los Angeles Times takes a look at the fashion choices of Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin calling her smart, no-nonsense couture is a breath of  fresh air "next to First Lady Laura Bush and Cindy McCain in their Oscar de la Renta suits, Chanel watches and Stuart Weitzman heels."

Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Samantha Ronson have joined deep thinkers Matt Damon and Pam Anderson in calling Palin a "Narrow Minded, Media Obsessed Homophobe."  Despite the obvious hypocrisy of any of that foursome calling someone narrow minded or media obsessed, the critical analysis offered up includes Anderson saying that Palin could "Suck it" (not sure if that was some kind of offer) and Ronson fearing that if elected Palin would take away her green card.
