Passing Gascón: LA Fails To Recall District Attorney Who Is As Leftist As He Promised
By Daniel Guss
@TheGussReport - Los Angeles wanted a far-left approach to criminal justice reform and now it has it for keeps.
Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder Dean Logan, whose firing this column called for in 2018, today rejected the latest effort to recall District Attorney George Gascón because organizers allegedly did not provide enough signatures to make the ballot.
It's as simple as that.
While former L.A. District Attorney Steve Cooley is pledging to bring Logan to court for allegedly failing to follow updated signature rejection guidelines, don't invest your time, heart or money in that effort. Logan should never have been given that power in the first place because we already knew controversy had followed him to L.A. from his earlier job in Washington State and throughout his tenure in L.A.
