Well, now that Wacko's explained it's the LAPD manual he has a problem with...We'll ask, no we will beg, Bratton to put the exact rendition of Special Order 40 in the manual like Wacko says it should be, if Wacko promises to go away.

Ha, I loved the way Hayworth called Geraldo Rivera a Fox open border crowd apologist. That's right Geraldo, you can't have it both ways, you can't be a Fox suck up 99 percent of the time then cry for open borders. Secondly, Bill Rosendahl is an idiot. He carts out Augustine Contreras name everytime he wants to get some sympathy, and he did nothing about the Venice gangs when THAT happened. Shame on you Bill for using that death as a political ploy. What have you done about the Venice Shoreline Crips and the Culver City Boys? (Who come into the city of LA to start trouble)

The New Fight Against Gangs
Gangs found violating injunctions will be reported to US Attorneys and subjected to deportation, consistent with Special Order 40. This has support of the City Attorney's office and the Mayor.

7:23: Chertoff is right except about his last point: In L A, businesses who hire illegals DO have to pay them above min. wage, usually, as in the case of LAX-area hotels, who hire mostly illegal Hispanics yet Janice Hahn, Rosendahl (who's willing to support any anti-business, leftie proposal from this to banning the war in Iraq or plastic bags, pro gay marriage, and anything that's NOT the purview of the Council) demand that the hotels pay a "living wage" based on discriminatory criteria.
Chertoff underestimates the extent to which the Mayor and Mexicans on Council and Assembly pander to the illegals at the expense of American citizens.

Special order review
Controversial LAPD policy ripe for scrutiny.
Some mistakenly believe the policy blocks police from reporting illegal gangsters to federal immigration authorities. That's just not true. Special Order 40 only prohibits LAPD officers from arresting people for no crime other than immigration violations, which are a federal responsibility. It's similar to the state seat-belt law, in which officers can cite motorists for not buckling up if they stop them for something else, but police can't randomly pull people over just to check their belted status.
It was interesting to see that Don / Culo / Tony / Anonymousa / Sharpie / Barf in the Hat / Wally / et al is cutting and pasting his Mayor Sam comments to Joe's blog.
