In an exclusive interview with Mayor Sam's Sister City, father of Jamiel Shaw, II and community advocate Jamiel Shaw, Sr., says that he has received a significant amount of pressure to drop or modify his support for Jamiel's Law, ending Special Order 40 for gang members. Shaw tells us that in one instance he was "offered a better paying job" in an attempt to silence him.This could be a problem for the Council. There's widespread disgust with their reaction to the treatment of Anita and Jamiel Shaw, Sr. Tuesday during their appearance at the Council meeting. The feeling is that the Clowncil members did everything from ignore the Shaws to dis them.
The whole of issue of Jamiel's Law is a problem for Mayor Villaraigosa and could even become a problem for the Democratic candidates later this year. As rational people of all races and political parties see to the extent that liberal policies have sought to protect those illegal aliens who happen to criminals - on the backs of those of who are hard working otherwise law abiding undocumented folks - votes could fall away from the Democratic party this year and the Mayor next year. No wonder the usual spinners were in full force to spin against Jamiel's Law.
After months of a self-imposed exile in the mid-west, Zuma Dogg triumphantly returned to City Hall Wednesday. In the requisite video, we learn that Councilman Bill Rosendahl eschews an electronic personal digital assistant for a box of several hundred index cards he carries around and that Matt Dowd just can't get why folks are happy to see Zuma Dogg at City Hall and could care less about Matt. I can help Matt with this question - because Matt my friend you are an asshole, an idiot and you lack the charisma, talent and star power of Zuma Dogg.
Residents of an orthodox Jewish community on Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles say that the Mayor's new traffic plan is going to create a serious disruption for them and business that cater to the community's special needs.
More celebrities getting kicked by various businesses. A tabloid reports that supermodel Naomi Campbell has been banned from flying on British Airways after allegedly spitting on a cop on a flight. Fashion designer Alexander McQueen has banned faux celebrity Paris Hilton from his stores because he doesn't want her as a customer.
Once in a while it happens. An incumbent has been defeated by a challenger. Walnut Parks and Recreation Commissioner Nancy Tragarz managed to beat incumbent Mayor Tom Sykes for a spot on the City Council.
Heidi Montag, the 21 year old star of the MTV reality show, The Hills, has been turned down by Tom LeBong (well and the rest of the Council). The young celebrity wanted permission to change the Hollywood Sign for one day to say Heidiwood. Not going to happen.
Did you know that California has a Democratic caucus? Even though the primary was held in February, Democrats will gather in libraries, gyms and senior centers to choose the delegates who will represent California and queue up for either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August.

Did anyone pay attention to the article in the paper this morning about Villar wanting ICE to back off of going after businesses that hire ILLEGALS and just go after gangs!Where is the brains he is supposed to have. Doesn't he realize that these many jerks work in wharehouses or in any industry that will make them look legit while they pilage society. He is disgusting! There isn't a kind work for this city's government tht will protect ILLEGALS at the cost of U.S. Citizen's lives.

I used to love flying and traveled the world - of course business and first were a different world, but even coach/ "cattle" wasn't literally that. Now it is. The flight attendants, gate screeners and every single nobody who works for an airline or an airport now feels entitled to act like the Gestapo.
At least at major airports. That's not the case at our smaller airports in smaller towns, where the employees are Americans, not recent immigrants on power-trips. Yeah, that's a fact, take it or leave it: it's not racism, unless you count how some immigrant with a class envy grudge feels about US.
And that can be towrds a celebrity like Naomi Campbell, who's black -- she probably got treated like dirt like we all are, barked ordess and all.
By the way: someone should sue the FAA or whoever makes us take off our shoes and walk barefoot on filthy floors. Can you imagine how many bacteria are on these floors, and can and do cause infections in the slightest foot opening? Not like you can wash and disinfect your foot right after. In more civilized countries, they offer paper, disposable booties, like in some European museums.
Alarcon tried to pressure the Shaws into silence before they even spoke, by jumping up to accuse them of being influenced by ignorant racists (read: Walter Moore and his wife, because they're white, they're racist) and half-baked "radio talk show hosts."
Presumably like Kevin James/KRLA in the audience. This was a digusting performance, and if Alarcon were white he'd have heard cries of "resign, you racist, resign! That's what Shaw STARTED by saying he's not trying to cause division and dissent, as some (Alarcon for example) claim. The pro-Mechista ciminal lobby has been trying to spin that to mean, the Shaws don't want to repeal SP40, only find their son's killer. NOT true.
I think Mr. Shaw is getting angrier as he realizes how Alarcon and some others tried to cut him off at the pass, and are doing so now. With his wife forced back to Iraq, he's on his own on this, and they figure, even more vulnerable. He needs all the support he can get.
Well, Sam, you are at least half right; Matt Dowd is an asshole, but people happy to see Zuma Dogg?
C'mon, how would you like to be stuck in an elevator with him for even a few minutes?

The only folks happy to see him are those who have lost their olefactory senses, like a couple of former Councilmen who need not be named here.
But, I'll give one thing to Zuma, he at least has cut Dowd and Mike Hunt loose due to their seriously offensive behavior with the KKK outfit and other antics.

In today's news, a woman from the Ramona Gardens projects was arrested in the freeway killing yesterday. What a shock a woman from mexican mafia and big harzard headquarters may be involved. Los Angeles -- Detectives questioned individuals in possible connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old on a freeway off-ramp in South Los Angeles, authorities said. "Detectives are talking to persons of interest regarding the shooting," Los Angeles police Officer Jason Lee of the Media Relations Section said. "No one is in custody."
According to broadcast reports, police arrested a 30-year-old woman in Ramona Gardens around 10:30 p.m. in possible connection with the slaying, but Lee declined to confirm the reports.

Rosendahl does not have clue how much his constituents are fed up that he has not had the guts to stand up and support the Shaws and Jamiel's law.
That was almost 100 votes with money behind it against Rosendahl.

Weekends were always like 25% of weekdays in terms of traffic. Now they're like at least 50%. Mondays and Tuesdays would always be our biggest days and start sloping down on Wednesday, but now we're finding the end of the week relatively consistent with the beginning of the week.

Lord help us, the Grand Avenue Authority, responsible for billions of dollars involving downtown development, has as 3 of its 4 members some dumb Latinas and a dumb black woman: Molina, without a high school degree, and CRA;s clueless Estolano (though she's personable); "Ban Fast Food to Save My People" Perry, who ranted at the billboard meeting a couple days ago that the people who were not impressed with her Dog and Pony Show about the issue: "See, this is what I've had to contend with at PLUM meetings too, these kinds of comments, people who are calling my constituents, you, their brothers and sisters, dogs and ponies! Times editorial backs Villaraigosa: Workplace raids targeting illegal immigrants hurt L.A. economy
This Los Angeles Times editorial today comments on Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's request yesterday that the federal government review its immigration enforcement policies.
According to the editorial, the mayor is right to ask the Department of Homeland Security to focus on crime-fighting instead of workplace raids, arguing that the arrests of employees who are suspected of no crime other than being in the country illegally is shaking the region's already fragile economy.

What happened with the resolution Zine supposedly had on the agenda today to modify SP40? I never saw it listed, and it seems like the meeting was adjourned abruptly when Greg Smith just left out of the blue without warning, so they lost a quorum. Was that a gimmick to avoid having to take a vote on it until next week? At whose suggestion: him and Zine, seeing they wouldn't get a majority, or did they get the old arm twisting?

Yet they found the time to pass the 25c/ plastic bag tax. If you read the article in the Daily News, the spoonsors admit that litter from plastic bags is far worse in "our poor communities," read mostly Latino -- you see them throwing trash in their streets as they walk from fast food to bags. Kids coming out of school throw trash in the streets from snacks, cholos with tattoos toss fast food boxes and wrappers in the parking lots of 7-Eleven or McD's... so we're all supposed to pay for the piggish behavior of a few.
LaBonge tried to make a point that those shopping for large families ro elderly can't fit their stuff into one cloth bag (which gets disgusting very fast with bloody meats, dripping milk, onions peels, etc., YUK, HELLO E Coli and salmonella), but when he found out that Greg Smith was co=sponsoring it, he quickly went along. Nothing like thinking for yourself.
Guess he's there so when people see fools like Jan Perry, Bitter Bernie and above all, TJ In the Hills Reyes, there's an Equally Stupid White Guy. (Or does that honor belong to Bill Rosendahl?)

The one who's advocated everyone in L A. "being bilingual" in an Op Ed, but made it clear that he meant only Spanish and English, not French or German or Portugese. This is, after all "the capitol of Latinismo," and he's just another apologist.
Reason he and some other Times editors picked Obama over Hillary is she didn't pander to Mexicans ENOUGH; unlike Obama she isn't promising illegals driving licenses after seeing the bitch-slapping disgraced Gov Spitzer and Bloomberg fot in NYC. But notice she's gotten a lot, lot more pandering to match Obama, the biggest pimp of them all.
The HOAs and NC's on the westside are disgusted that they're being so neglected on a citywide basis compared to the pandering to illegals and those who hire them. This city is really a separate universe, has already defacto been annexed by Mexico and Central America.
In CD11 Rosendahl's people have long been furious at paying more taxes and fees for cops but the streets getting more and more dangerous, same with Bel Air and the hills -- all the cops have to go where the crime is greatest and that's the immigrant areas as well as South L A. But it's the Latinos who are some half the population and have ove 2/3 the youths and live births, and harbor the gangs.
But Rosendahl just cries over plastic bags, sponsors resolutions in Iraq and other useless things. His bleeding heart liberalism is so 60's, from when whites were a majority and were blamed for all the ills in the black and brown "minority" communities. He's such a sucker for these ethnic politicians, to syphon money into their districts.
The Mayor and the other Mexicans may fool the local scribes who also pander to the Hispanics -- the Times is now bilingual, and running bleeding heart stories about illegals striving to make it, totally ignoring that they're illegal and have dragged our city into a third - world toilet.
But the nation is disgusted by what's going on in L A, even Lou Dobbs, who's hammering on this pandering to illegals night after night. It's "a disgusting case of pandering to one special interest group over the law," he says.
So Antonio isn't going anywhere nationally this way. The irony: Dobbs is praising Hillary for being first to do something about the foreclosure problem, and having the best plan: maybe Hillary will go all the way and dump the Mexicans and L A like the plague.
