On a morning when Councilmember Dennis Zine is trying to repeal Special Order 40, is THIS the best you can do, now that the Friday session started 4 hours ago?

I have to tell you these people are so out of line and have no clue. Another group who supports illegals and just want to put fire to the flame that is out. I hope Zine's motion goes forward and this damn city starts a movement to get rid of the illegals. Maybe if there's good media on Zine' motion they won't march on May 1st

Good to see that my comment, stating that this post is a time-waster, was not approved.
I guess dissent isn't allowed on MS nowadays, especially when Higby feels a need to prove his 'hit' improvements.

I didn't see your comment 3:35 but knowing you I am sure it was a time-waster.

I attended the Zocalo event tonight, a doc about Abu Ghraib -- interviews with the "criminals" involved in those infamous photos of naked and degraded prisoners. Like the director while making the film, the audience generally liked these people overall (sentenced from 8 mos. to 10 years, although the chief perpetrator wasn't interviewed and wouldn't have seemed so nice, was probably borderline psycho). What came across was the inhuman and impossible situatin these young people were put into. Ironically, the woman who took the pix did so to show the world her outrage at what was going on, but by being part of end ended up in jail -- "instead of getting a Pulutzer Prize, which she'd have gotten if she were from the outside," noted commentator Megan Daum.
The prisoners included a high-level general and some others who knew stuff -- but also the local baker and barber who just got rounded up in the quest for village info.
Of course, it was a largely anti= Bush/ Cheney crowed, who want him impeached. Whatever, it's still a powerful movie -- and no one above Sgt. was ever punished, they knew what was going on but were too smart to ever be seen or caught.
