Get Ready For The Southwest Museum/Autry/Griffith Park Expansion Issue To Hit The Fan Soon!
READ THE SW MUSEUM EIR
ZD SURE IS HEARING ABOUT THE SOUTHWEST MUSEUM/AUTRY/GRIFFITH PARK EXPANSION ISSUE AGAIN: Like how the Autrys (and their hired firm Latham & Watkins) are stepping on some major merger agreement toes in some peoples' opinion...lots of peoples' opinion!)
Oh no...wait until after Labor Day break...those Southwest Museum Supporters in the Community are probably gonna be making their voices heard. And I understand it's been a pretty juice soap opera, over the past three or four years, that will be unfolding on this and hopefully many other blogs.
Zuma Times and Mayor Sam's Sister City have learned that the city has released the EIR for SW Museum. Public comment period is only 45 days and are due by Oct 1st.
NEWS BEFORE IT HAPPENS: As soon as they get the comments back, some [agendized] professional firm will write responses; then they will try and get thier permits approved to expand Griffith Park.
SW supporters claim The Autry Foundation continues to violate their merger agreement.
The community memebers contacting Zuma Times want the Autrys to reduce the project and not make the SW Musuem a reason (excuse) to expand Griffith Park.
There was never an overall master plan for the entire Autry institution. So there is no study that provides any evidence that the SW museum cannot stay where it is. SW Museum is being used as a pawn in a plan/excuse to expand Griffith Park.
The agreement was to market SW Museum separately and have the museum keep its own identity. Not have the artifacts removed from the area and be used to bolster the Autry name while wiping away the Southwest identity.
Latham and Watkins was hired a long time ago by the Autry Foundation. Watch for Home Depot (Part 2). In other words, the Autry has so few supporters, that they’ll have to pay people to show up in support like Home Depot did. Expect busses of people who have no idea what they are supporting. All in the name of Autry, not the Southwest Museum.
And I think the supporters of the Southwest Museum will be making their voices heard over this issue after the summer holiday break. All that the pueblos want, is for the Autry’s to honor the terms of the merger agreement. Just don’t violate the agreement you created to get the deal approved. That’s all the people are asking.
Here we are in 2007 with this modern day cowboys and indians (south)western saga. Would there by any culutre clash having an indian artifact collection in a cowboy pop-culture musuem? How about combining beef into a vegetarian buffet.

Time for Huizar to earn his $178,000 pay check. I recall during the campaign Huizar saying"If, I'm elected your Council member I fight move to closed down the southwest."

Huizar is learning to be as slick as Villa. Huizar has been negotiating, attempting to achieve concensus, etc.,but Huizar still owes plenty to the Mexican Mafia for winning against Pacheco and then against Parra. Huizar is still the bag man for Villa and will ensure that whatever Villa wants, Villa will get; Autrey, Universal, Mr Pak, LAUSD, etc.

And, of course, we all remember Zuma Dogg's failing support of the bussed-in orange shirts supporting Home Depot against the Sunland-Tujunga community, don't we, ZD? You are such a turd and talk out of your head and butt. What a fool this ZD is, Higby -- he has worn out my tolerance for even glancing at his stuff now. Bye.

What planet did you get kicked out of, Gomer?"
Huizar "owes" only Matt Groening for being able to defeat Alvin Parra, easily. in a 3-way primary.
It's nice to have a well-known cartoon character out there ("Doh!") that's even more lifelike, but less of a buffoon, than the actual sad-sack wannabe politician known as "Alvin".

WTF??? I never had a thing to do with that issue? Failing support? How can you say, "We all remember?" Can you please refresh our memory with my support of bussed-in orange shirts or any threads or comments I have posted here on the issue? I mean you do say, "we all remeber?"
I DO NOT REMEMBER? DOES ANYONE ELSE? If there is ONE issue I have not covered (because everyone else does and it's just not an issue I cared to cover) it's that one you dumb ass loser. Are you as stupid as you hope the people reading your lies are?
