Tuesday Hotsheet at 3 a.m.
In the wake of the Arellano deportation, the Daily News tracks down four local undocumenteds who are using churches as sanctuaries from the USICE. BTW, the alt quotidien codwrapper quotes the Mayor as saying: "The manner of the arrest and deportation in this case raises concerns in our community." Antonio wants a briefing from immigration officials.
Written apologies and timeouts? The Breeze says the LAUSD will get touchy-feely with students: "Los Angeles Unified is rolling out a new discipline policy this fall designed to give problem students a reason not to act out by providing 'positive behavior support.'"
Someone in comments the other day said don't quote the Breeze, it's a kind of zero degree of newspaper. I brushed it off, but if you look at today's front page...wow, it's indeed a news-free zone.
Huge Comment of the Day (apologies to Jim Rome):
So Councilman Reyes attributes the damage to his car to an awkwardly placed pillar in the City Hall garage? Those pillars haven't moved since the place was built. And if LaBonge blames the damge to his car on a neighbor, why hasn't the neighbor or the neighbor's insurance company paid for the damage?---Anonymous, 11:41 p.m.
Lots of machina issues in at 200 N. Spring these days...
If you blinked, you might have missed: more studies on runway safety coming; wouldn't it be nice after such studies if LAX actually garnered a safe runway or two? Also, Chief Douglas Barry becomes Fire Chief today, and Zahniser notes that the Mayor earlier implied there was a disenchanting pool of applicants---which seems a dissing to Barry, even though he was not an applicant himself. Also, Prop R motion denied yesterday, which didn't make the fishwrap of record. But 3 DWP workers injured in blast is indeed in. Speedy recovery to the injured at the DWP.
"That's Earl, brother." Which oldtime Hearst gossip columnist signed off his column with that oldtime tagline, which appeared in our old beloved Herald-Examiner through 1983?

LAPD assaults are up 39% and the midget mayor doesn't say a word but an illegal who was using someone else's social security number, arrested, deported but came back is caught again breaking the law and Antonio is defending her. Typical low life, gang banging, cholo mayor with no class would defend someone breaking the law. Nice message you're sending Antonio.

Janice Hahn and the rest of those losers who are behind her to get a tax ballot measure for gangs need to stop wasting city time and give it up NOW. No way in hell will it ever pass. Word is already getting out to many telling people hellllll nooooo on a tax for gang bangers. After reading this I blast e-mailed to over 500 people and posted on many blogs. We need to get the word out not to support this tax to give to more corrupt gang bangers and Hahn is a moron and an idiot if she thinks it will pass.
Gang Funds Misused
Posted by admin on June 2nd, 2007
An arrest in LA has exposed the tip of an ugly iceberg. Hector Marroquin was arrested on gun charges on Wednesday, including sale of automatic weapons and silencers in violation of tough Federal laws. His arrest is ironic since Marroquin is CEO of an outfit called “No Guns” that was set up to help quell gangs.
But the story doesn’t end there, according to investigative reporting by LA Weekly:
No Guns has received more than $1.5 million in funding from Los Angeles, under gang intervention programs;
Marroquin, his wife, son and daughter received salaries in excess of $200,000 per year from No Guns;
A program called LA Bridges has spent more than $100 million with No Guns and similar groups while producing no measurable results. In 2000, the LA city controller recommended that LA Bridges be shut down, and the mayor agreed, but the City Council unanimously reversed the decision. Why? The LA Times found that 172 POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS WERE MADE TO CITY POLITICIANS BY EXECUTIVES AND EMPLOYEES OF 20 OF THE 26 CONTRACTORS FOR LA BRIDGES.
The so called “gang intervention” programs look to me like liberal spending gone amok. The programs exist at Federal, state and local levels where they are very popular with politicians. A lot of money has been thrown at the problem with at most quite modest results.
Substantial sums have slipped into the hands of bad actors like Marroquin who purchased Marrokings Seafood and Bar for $645,000 and also owns an auto yard (the site of an unsolved shooting). He appears to be a poor choice for funding. Gang members have been arrested at Marrokings for gun possession. Marroquin himself has claimed he is associated with the Mexican Mafia while his son Hector Marroquin is an admitted member of the 18th Street Gang and his daughter the L’il Watts Gang. And its not just Marroquin. Mario Corona, member of another group receiving LA Bridges funding, was sentenced to 32 months in prison for transporting a large amount of methamphetamine and being a felon with a gun.
When you are wondering where your tax money goes, read this story again.
READ THIS TO AND THEN ASK WOULD YOU VOTE TO GIVE GANG PROGRAMS MORE MONEY

LA Slimes diverting attention away from Villaraigosa. Why didn't Steve Hymon report on Antonio's 26 city staff cars? Asshole mayor is speaking out and defending a felon to the nation. Now I'm glad the media trolls continue to hound him and his mistress. Mirthala will never get any respect for breaking up a family then showing no class and reporting on it. Any woman with a conscience could not do that.
...Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said he will ask top immigration officials to brief the city on future enforcement action. "The manner of the arrest and deportation in this case raises concerns in our community," said Villaraigosa, who has appeared at immigration rallies in the city in support of reform. "As mayor of a city that is over 40 percent foreign-born, I can tell you, when families are torn apart, our communities are torn apart."

Give me a break! The Daily Breeze sucks! The only people who read it are retirees or people who work there. It was OK before ...when Copley Press was the owner but Copley sold it to Hearst who sold it to MediaNews group. Now they print editorials on the front page... just like the LA Times. The writer Paul Clinton is a joke and knows nothing about education.

Concern to "our community." I see. But he skates by because it all sounds so innocent to clueless liberal whites.

LAX is too small to ever be safe at its present level of traffic, let alone when they try to increase it.
Every other major airport in the U.S. is built on at least twice as many acres. Look it up.
LAX is about 3500 acres and Palmdale is over 10,000. The city fathers saw the handwriting on the wall in the '50s when they bought the Palmdale land. Since then, the handwriting has disappeared behind the mirrors and blue smoke.
They can move the runways around all they want, create more noise, traffic, and accident risk in the communities, and it will not solve the problem. It is too small. They can do studies, and fiddle with the configuration forever, and the problem will remain.
The only solution is true regional expansion, but nobody wants to spend the money. So, the sacrifice zone will slowly grow.
Sooner or later, the big one will happen. Then what? Will someone see the light and begin to seriously try to push some traffic to Palmdale, Norton and March? Or will they just use it as cover to fiddle around some more?
Commute on the 405? Good luck!

CONCORD, N.H. - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney criticizes "sanctuary cities" for illegal immigrants — and by implication Republican rival Rudy Giuliani — in a new radio ad.
"Immigration laws don't work if they're ignored. That's the problem with cities like Newark, San Francisco and New York City that adopt sanctuary policies," an announcer says in the ad, which runs in New Hampshire and Iowa. "Sanctuary cities become magnets that encourage illegal immigration and undermine secure borders."

"We are sad, but at the same time we are angry," said Javier Rodriguez, a Chicago immigration activist who worked with her. "How dare they arrest this woman?"

Editor,
More than six months before I started my first semester in college at UNM, I became a legal U.S. resident. Furthermore, I recently became a U.S. citizen because many engineering companies require U.S. citizenship for most of their positions. Thus far, I am very grateful to UNM for the great education that I received from its professors and graduate students. More importantly, I'm deeply grateful to my parents for having abided by U.S. immigration laws and statutes and having fought for my U.S. citizenship. I am also very honored and thrilled to be an American citizen, because this truly is the greatest country in the world; it has a unique form of government, it has many gorgeous national parks, and it's quickly becoming a leader in environmental friendliness.
Having mentioned all this, I think it's completely unjust for illegal immigrants to enter this country and receive free college tuition. Regardless of their country of origin, all illegal immigrants should at least become legal U.S. residents to have their college tuition paid, just as I did. It's unjust because this would mean that there are less funds being allocated for U.S. citizens to have their college tuition paid. Illegal immigrants should not, by any means, have any of the same benefits that are entitled to a U.S. citizen.

Minister: Illegal Immigrants Take Construction Jobs From Blacks
Craig Dellimore Reporting
Political Editor
CHICAGO (WBBM) - While immigration advocates are calling on federal officials to ease up on their efforts to hunt down illegal immigrants, an African-American minister insists illegal immigrants are making it harder from blacks to find construction jobs.
WBBM Political editor Craig Dellimore reports from City Hall.
Rev. Gregory Daniels of United Voters for Truth and Change led a small group to Mayor Daley’s office to complain that African-American tradesmen and sub-contractors have been shut out of South Loop construction projects. One reason—he suggests—could be illegal workers being paid substandard wages.
Rev. Daniels says there may be a problem with illegal immigrants working on many constructions sites. He says there are many Mexicans working, and he believes, because they don’t speak English, they may be here illegally.

Should Illegal Immigrants Get Financial Aid.
Academic Benefits Denied to 5000 Illegal Immigrants in Arizona.
Are tax dollars being taken from legal students to fund aid for illegal students?
Having to pay the full tuition for my children in college was just something I expected I’d have to do because I worked hard, gave up things so they could have a better life, studied and worked my way up the ladder. No complaints because that was the way I was told it would be by my parents. The system said I made too much to get any kind of assistance for my children.
I have no problem providing college financial aid to the children of US Citizens (and that meaning those children are also US Citizens).
What does bother me is when illegal immigrants are being given aid, and over that of US Citizens. While driving back from the Bay Area this morning I was listening to a Bay Area talk radio show when the subject of why (and how) illegal immigrants are getting financial aid in some states came up (the example was the State of New Mexico). The host and his guest (and this was not a conservative talk show) were touting the benefits of allowing illegal immigrants to take advantage of small loop-holes in various states laws to gain a college education here in the United States. It seems that the New Mexico State Senate recently passed an obscure bill that allows students who are in the United States illegally the ability to receive financial aid. They did note that this bill runs contrary to Federal Law that does not allow aid eligibility to illegals. The New Mexico bill allows admission to a state university, as well as aid, for in-state residents, regardless of their immigration status. The bills authors state it would allow a limited number of illegal students to receive aid (50 to 250 at most). Well, that’s how all benefits start… just a few now! This bill will start attracting more illegal immigrant students to New Mexico (or what ever other state is allowing this) and once they arrive, if the past pattern holds up, those new illegal immigrants will demand that they too have those benefits, otherwise, well… I can see the courts backing up with suits against the states for “discrimination” already.

Illegal immigrants are being given too many rewards
How sad is this? The very same day the Courier News runs a very nice article about sharing your immigration stories and arrival into the United States, New Haven, Conn. is offering IDs to illegal immigrants. What is this country coming to? We are treating illegals better then our own senior citizens.
New Haven is selling IDs to illegal immigrants so they can benefit from the community services, such as library cards and opening bank accounts.
What are we saying to the people waiting in lines to enter this county legally? We seem more concerned about the illegals' rights than the welfare of our own seniors. It is our senior citizens who are paying school taxes that are used to educate the illegal children and also provide free lunches. Yet our seniors have to scrimp and save to afford their medicines and healthy foods and also pay their taxes on a limited income. Who is helping them out?
This county needs to open its eyes by taking care of the people who were here before the illegals and only welcome those who follow the rules and come to this great place the legal way.
It is a privilege to be an American, not a reward by sneaking in.

Claim: “Illegal immigrants do the jobs that Americans won’t.”
False: Americans will perform any legal job necessary to support themselves and their families. As an illustration, recently 70 US citizens were dismissed from an Alabama construction site by a foreman who said the dismissal was “because the Mexicans had arrived”. Linda Swopes, who operates Complete Employment Services in Mobile AL said: "I assure you it is not true that Americans don't want to work. We had been told that 270 jobs might be available, and we could have filled every one of them with men from this area, most of whom lost their jobs because of the hurricane." The identified Mexican illegal immigrant workers were simply willing to work for less money than were US citizens.

Claim: “Illegal immigrants help the American economy.”
False: Illegal immigrants to the US cost the country at least $10 billion more than they contribute to the economy. The CIS (Center for Immigration Studies) advises that if amnesty is put into place, these costs to the American economy (and the American taxpayer) will triple. The average illegal immigrant family uses $2,700/year more in services than it pays in taxes. In 2002, this amounted to a $10.4 billion drain on the federal budget. Some of the greatest federal costs included: Medicaid ($2.5 billion); treatment for the uninsured ($2.2 billion); food assistance programs ($1.9 billion); the federal prison and court systems ($1.6 billion); and federal aid to schools ($1.4 billion).

Claim: “Illegal immigrants are just hard-working people who want jobs.”
False: The US Justice Department reported that in 2003, alone, 270,000 illegal immigrants had served prison time. The Federation for American Immigration Reform reports: "In March 2000, Congress made public Department of Justice statistics showing that, over the previous five years, the INS had released over 35,000 criminal aliens instead of deporting them. Over 11,000 of those released went on to commit serious crimes, over 1,800 of which were violent ones; including 98 homicides, 142 sexual assaults, and 44 kidnappings. In 2001, thanks to a decision by the Supreme Court, the INS was forced to release into our society over 3,000 criminal aliens who collectively had been convicted of 125 homicides, 387 sex offenses, and 772 assault charges."
The Federal Bureau of Prisons estimates that fully one-third of current prison populations are comprised of non-citizen illegals.
Islamic terrorists, including Mexicans with terrorist ties, have entered and are continuing to enter the US via our unsecured borders.
The violent MS-13 Salvadoran gangs have illegally immigrated across the US-Mexico border. MS-13 has also vowed to kill local police, Border Patrol agents and US citizen-members of the Minutemen project, within the US.

Claim: “Illegal immigrants are law-abiding citizens”
False: First and foremost, by the very nature of illegal immigrants being in the country “illegally”, they are neither following nor abiding by US law. Also, illegal immigrants are increasingly using bogus or stolen Social Security numbers. The crime of Identity Fraud being affected by illegal immigrants has become a growing and sever problem. Rep. False: Although many illegals are demanding US citizenship, and to be given special consideration ahead of those who have applied legally, a marked number of Hispanics do not want it. But, they do demand the “same rights” as US citizens. Many Hispanic groups, including (but not limited to) MEChA, the Mexica Movement and LULAC, are supporting and working toward the re-conquest (“reconquista”) of the United States. Feel free to call it touchy feely, but I've worked with thousands of schoolkids and have found it's always better to keep them in the classroom than evict them. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens. “A confidential California Department of Justice study reported in 1995 that 60 percent of the 20,000-strong 18th Street Gang in southern California is illegal.”

Claim: “Illegals do not drive down US workers’ wages”
False: As already presented, illegal immigrants from Mexico are working for far less money than US citizen workers and on a regular basis. Borjas (“For a Few Dollars Less”) quotes Paul Samuelson: “…an increase in supply [of workers] will, other things being equal, tend to depress wage rates." OREGON CITY, Ore. Despite the admission, Alejandro Rivera Gamboa was released without anyone notifying immigration authorities.
Rivera Gamboa and his cousin Gilberto Javier Arellano Gamboa are charged with aggravated murder, attempted rape and atempted sexual abuse.
Arellano Gamboa is also in the country illegally, but does not have a previous criminal record.
Oregon law prohibits local police from actively searching out illegal immigrants, but the rules change when foreigners land in jail.

EVERYONE needs to tell Villar, his fellow mexican enemy agents and the illegals to ALL pound sand!
Someone up there mentioned that they are glad the heat on the Mirthala affair is not going away ... you have absolutely the right idea! I am sick of hearing about his sleaze like most other people, but ANYTHING that will serve the ultimate good of GETTING RID OF HIM AND HIS ILK is a GOOD THING! To accomplish that end, we can all suffer through the smarminess! Keep the heat ON!
Our immigration policies must be completely overhauled and the quality and type of immigrant, as well as the numbers, made a critical criteria. We do NOT need an endless flood of third world, ineducable, cheap "construction workers" lawn mowers and cleaning people who (they and their endless numbers of offspring and family members) will only be an eternal drain on services and government, who will NEVER come out of the red in terms of taxes paid versus services sucked up, not to mention an incredible source of crime! ... All to satisfy the bottomless greed of corporations and globalists!
They must ALL go, right along with that Arellano creature ... and the "anchor baby" arrangement must be stopped! They have ruined the schools, the hospitals and medical care, destroyed whole cities and neighborhoods, destroyed businesses and employment for many Americans, to mention only a few of the problems, they are an endless money drain and their "contribution" is nonexistent - except to the bottom line of certain corporations and businesses! They are Mexico's issue, not ours, and they have the absolute nerve to sneak in here (operating illegally, including frequently on a cash basis, paying NO taxes rather than SMALL taxes, wrecking Americans' credit by stealing their identities, and on and on and on....) and then claim to have "rights" to things! Once they are gone and our border is closed, Mexico owes us a whole lot of money!
As someone else mentioned up there, the goverment gives more to the illegals, treats them better and spends more money on them than they do on our own retired American seniors and that is absolutely unacceptable!
Things are looking optimistic, though. It appears that Americans are beginning to wake up and are not lapsing back into their stupor following the defeat of that treasonous Amnesty bill ... here is an encouraging article:

I'm not going soft on any criminal fraud with any one regardless of their origin. Defraud the US government, and wtf do you expect.

The spelling and grammar are mostly correct.
Dowd is an Aussie who hangs out with ZD in a van that reeks of old grass, B.O. and stale coffee and cold pizza.
And, while he would readily knock our Mayor, he would not presume to knock another immigrant who breaks the law, same as Matt himself, who was doing selling incense and not paying taxes, etc.ion contravention of an ordinance. He seems to have beat the rap for now, but they will change the law to conform to the judge's opinion and bust him again if they catch him breaking the new law.

Watch this video and learn a little about the Mexican Mafia prison gang, which is the king of gangs in prison and have control over most Southern California latino gangs.
Mexican Mafia prison gang
When will people wake up and see that gangs like 18th street gang was started by Mexican immigrants. The 18th street gang is the largest street gang in the country and started in Los Angeles.
18th street gang
And then years later the MS-13 gang was started by immigrants from El Salvador. The MS-13 street gang is the 2nd largest street gang in the country and also started in Los Angeles.
MS-13 gang
But this Mayor and others before him were clueless on how to stop this before it grew to the magnitude it has today. Does it surprise anyone that LAUSD is the worst school district in the state?
Mayor Villara-poser; if you really want to stop gangs, stop kissing ass to every illegal alien in Los Angeles. I’m surprised you haven’t visited the illegal aliens in prison and cried for them.
Mayor Villara-poser, you are an idiot and a hypocrite, one minute you are standing next to Chief Bratton talking about stopping gang violence. And the next minute you are defending illegal immigrants who should be deported.
Mayor Villara-poser; shut the f**k up you idiot.

Like the LATimes Editorial on 8/15 said, quoted already in previous JM thread, the five supes have BILLIONS of dollars EACH that they MUST spend, and yet not only were they inept over MLK -- Zev was quoted that that problem had started way before them, and was "in the walls", as though the 12-15 years they've all been serving wasn't enough time -- but nothing they're in charge of works. Foster care system, jails most striking.
They have no leader among them, just separate little kingdoms, run by clueless pols with pet projects.
Meanwhile they have chauffeurs taking them from home to work and back, plus extra cars. The whole system needs to be reexamined. It seems like no one, even Chick, has any idea how the supes are spending their money, and the people don't know what revenues the supes have access to, versus the city council.
Why can't we afford cops, transport fixes, anything important, when they have all those billions they're spending somewhere? If some seven county hospitals have already closed, where is the money for hospitals and clinics going?
Meanwhile, people like Janice Hahn and Connie Rice want anywhere from millions to a billion dollars for the gang problem, while people are already feeling overtaxed with no accountability.
On top of that, how can those 14 Republican clowns in Sacramento just flat-out refuse to give L. A. the $150 million we're owed for DOT costs to buy new synchronized lights, admitting it's because we are a Dem stronghold, and they'd rather spread that money around to any cowpoke Rep town like Modesto.
One of them is Tom McClintock from Thousand Oaks, whose residents contribute their share of smog and congestion driving into L. A.
Daily News/Orlov reported that Arnold asked Zine and Smith to put some pressure on their fellow Republicans to pass the budget, but they should demand these transportation funds, too. Have they? Zine especially sure is adding to the congestion problem with his megamalls, so he needs to use his Republican leverage.
(To the person who keeps harping on the Mayor's cars: enough already, grow up. Yeah, that's an issue, and I'm in agreement that he's on the wrong side of the Arellano case if he's hoping to get broad support, but I'd like to know why the supes get a chauffeur, too, when they're the most bungling of the bunch, and have been in their jobs the longest. We need answers.)

But why would Mayor Villar care? He might just want to use those high profile demonstrations to elevate himself. He probably cares less about the actual welfare of those illegal immigrants?

12:32: You are absolutely right that the immigration laws of shit-hole Mexico should be used against that country and it's America-bashing "elites" and President, as the first step in any negotiations about what rights their uneducated underclass has here in the U. S.
In Mexico, Americans can't own land on or near the seashore, and many had bought homes where that was not clear to them, and when the "leases" on houses they thought they owned were up, they were thrown out in favor of Mexicans who decided they wanted those homes.
The Americans were told that the land belonged to the Mexicans, and all leases were subject to termination on a back-dated basis.
Only way to "own" land near the sea down there is to get a Mexican to co-sign for you, and just hope he doesn't steal the house out from under you, since only HE owns the land. You are his tenant, even if you made all the payments.
If you want to invest down there in a business, you have to put up a significant collateral to prove you're not going to become a burden on their state.
No American flags, no English in their public schools, must reimburse the country for medical care beyond the basic clinic level, or be jailed for financial fraud.
Sure as heck no free lunches or college tuition assistance! Or we could send our white trash down there and have them return the favor. IF we could five 12 million of them, like we have up here.
In fact, you can be jailed for damn near anything down there, like buying the meds that the farmacias sell you so openly without an Rx.
The Arellano woman using a fake SS# is a serious violation of the law. Those fake ID mills around McArthur park and everywhere make up numbers at random, which often duplicate a real person's, and cause ID theft and huge headaches when the person goes to apply for credit.

Well, anyone who wants to go down to that shithole and take their chances do exactly that, they take their chances - if you deal down there you will probably get everything you are asking for ... screwed!
As far as illegals and voting are concerned, don't be so sure about that. I know certain people who have formed "latino voter" groups and been very active going out signing up voters they KNOW are illegals. Now, there is one bright spot, many of those illegals are not always that easy to motivate and move so the amount of follow through on their part to actually vote illegally is unknown, but don't for a minute think that illegals are NOT voting.
As far as that Arellano creature is concerned, I believe she was not using FAKE ID (though you are correct in stating they run a huge business in creating fake IDs) she was using some other person's ID illegally. Oh well, screw the American, she's got "rights" - isn't that correct Villar? Catholic church? Like hell she's got "rights"!!

Mayor Villaraigosa is so desperate for positive press that he's willing to just make shit up and lie. He held a press conference at City Hall this morning and proclaimed that the City "won top national honors" for it's animal shelters. The City was not even included in the recently released Animal People annual shelter report. There was no award or honor bestowed from anyone for anything. Antonio made that up on the podium. Diarrhea of the mouth.
He then stated that they are the "number one public animal adoption agency in the entire United States of America." This is also not the truth which the annual independent shelter report clearly shows. His handlers need to watch his mouth.
The original Mayoral press release for the conference said that LA was the "largest" animal adoption agency in the US, which is also not true. The Mayor then told the press that they have a nokill policy then he said a few moments later that they are killing 40% of the animals. How can you be nokill and kill? Then he said that they prescreen all animals and guarantee there will never be a problem. No, they don't. There's a lengthy disclaimer in the adoption agreement and on the website which says they don't test the animals, they guarantee nothing and aren't liable for anything. How can politicians and public officials lie like this?

For your information, the whole "anchor baby" thing happens to be unconstitutional and there are groups right now that are researching getting that fixed!
Anonymous said:
3:45: Now that you mention it, there is in fact a growing movement to drop the granting of automatic citenship to any illegal who crosses the border to drop a baby. That has been going on in Texas, especially, for a long time -- women just wading across the Rio Grande, having the baby, then wading back home. Becoming harder with more enforcement, but still there are many having those anchor babies, knowing they'll use them to try to get sympathy from lefties like you to "reunite the family."
France is seriously considering not granting citizenship to their illegals having babies there, as it's overburdening their systems, too, and threatening their culture.
(Although of course, their problem is the Muslims.)
This Arellano woman and those like her are only going to spur thinking in that direction, NOT in favor of more illegals' anchor babies.

Cause Hahn, Parks, Perry, Garcetti, Greuel and others have received campaign donations from those gang programs.
Now, Antonio looks like an asshole talking about ICE tearing apart families when he thought it was more important to be screwing a passed around woman with no morals behind his wife and kids back then being a man and leaving then screwing around. Who could refuse to let this all mighty, high flying, rock-star like, charming, charismatic, irresistible and unstoppable guy say things to make you feel good?
But let the guy focus on his job and actually do something? Do what? More harm to our city?
Most of us here know the long list. However, let’s just pick one random example from the list.
The guy wants to plant one million more trees in our city. Sounds great. But do we already have a backlog of 5, 6, 7 or 8 years in trimming the existing trees in our neighborhoods? And do we really have the resources to add one million more, and properly maintain the new ones in addition to trimming the existing trees as needed?
The fast growing and overgrown ficus trees all over our city need to be trim EVERY YEAR, not once every 6 or 7 years. Some of them are already blocking traffic lights, signs and creating hazardous traffic conditions. Not only that, their branches and leaves are interfering with electrical wires, and overhanging roof tops of houses and buildings. Roots are cracking sidewalks and tripping pedestrians … more hazards, and more law suits against our city? And what is the guy going to do? Plant one million more trees? Sure, we love to have more trees. But you have to trim and maintain the existing ones first!
We may leave him alone if he is going to trim the trees first, before planting one million more. Knowing the priority seems to be so difficult for this guy.
There are so many issues on the list. The guy or his staff seems to be doing exactly the opposite of what is needed to help our city, on almost every single issue.

So that he can raise our tax to give more money to the gang program?
> to add to the school problems
So that he can try again to take over LAUSD, and fully control even more school construction money?
> to add to the county hospital overcrowding.
So that he can also take over the county in order to solve the hospital problem?
Oh, one more, so that Mayor V can pass the billion dollar bond measure to build costly affordable housing for more illegals?
Oh, another one, so that we will have worse traffic congestion, and Mayor V can ….
You see Mayor V’s MO - Create the problem, raise tax and control more money, and claim credit for solving the problem he created in the first place?
